SAMURA
Hi! I arrived here on July 14th after having right rear leg amputated. I was found in the street with a badly injured leg, and try as she might, the vet couldn't save it. I'm healing well and already learned to maneuver around. I never miss my litter box and can chase after the big kitties here when she lets me out on the floor to run.

I'd love to have another kitten or young cat to play with, and meowmy said it should be a boy kitty. Meowmy said I need a month to heal before I can be spayed so it will probably be around August 27th before I'll be ready to go home.

Don't let my missing leg scare you off. I'm perfect in every way and just a bit special, but I'm not ever going to let that stop me. So ask about me and maybe I can be your "special" kitty!

Purrs,

Samora or Sammie for short.

Notes from Home
Hi Pat,
Things are great. Samura is settling in nicely. She was timid when she first got here. She has become quite a cuddle bug. She is always purring and wants to be patted. She loves Haden the other kitten we adopted. They play and chase each other all over the house. She is being treated for conjunctivitis which is clearing nicely. Haden had a URI when he came so we were lucky that she only got an eye infection. We just love her! So happy we chose her. such a lovey!

Hi Pat,
Samura is doing wonderful. She loves her new home. She is such a lovey. She loves to cuddle but not especially held. She follows us around wherever we are. She eats REALLY well. She even lets me brush her teeth. She loves her mate Haden. They settled in so well right from the start. She is still a little shy when she hears someone coming in but after a fashion she comes out to investigate. If she knows you she is fine. My Grandsone loves them both. We couldn't be happier.

Hi Pat,
Samura is wonderful! Both cats just had their annual checkup and she is doing great. three legs has not slowed her down one bit. we are so happy we made the decision to adopt her. She is still skiddish when she hears the doors open until she know who's here. she loves to be patted and sits with us all the time. we just love her! Sept. 25,2017

I am a congenial, playful kind of guy. Just wait until my photo shoot so you can see how handsome and energetic I am. Oh, and I like to snuggle to!

Notes from Home
It has been a busy fall for us as the weather has turned cold and we are trying to put our gardens to bed. Shadow seems to enjoy the cooler house. He has two speeds; very fast and nap He plays hard and he sleeps hard. Does not want to cuddle except on his own terms. Shadow and our other cat thinks that 4:00 am is a fine time for everybody to get up and start the day.

His eye infection has cleared up; it took pretty strong medicine. He eats well and has put on weight. He is a solid cat and looks like there is some English Bull Dog in him. He has visited the vet several times with his eye infection. The vet has said that he is a good looking cat and except for the infection he was a healthy cat.

We are very happy that he is a member of the family.

New Update,

Shadow has turned out to be a real laid back cat, liking to sun in a window or out on the breeze way. He is really healthy cat and the Vet office really kikes him. He just had his shots. updated. We I will try and uload apicture of him and his 'sister' Emma.

LITAI (TI)
Dumped? Lost? Forgotten? Available? Yes to all.

Looking now for furever home. Inquire here. I am a lover and a lap kitty. Need to have the usual 'stuff' before I can go home. Foster mom couldn't believe how wonderful I was when she evaluated me. If she didn't already have a few cats.........

I'm showing myself to be mostly a lover. Love to be in laps. Love to be hanging over your shoulder. Love to be nuzzling your chin. Love to be asked about by you.

Check out my new photos! Mom decorated the room to match my eyes!

I previously replied to an update request, sharing the information that Li Tai died August 18, 2017. He had been ill for several months, presumably with cancer, probably a lymphoma.

Willa is fitting in nicely. She and Edgar chase and wrestle throughout the day (morning and evening being the best times). They also take turns attacking their two biggest "enemies" - a piece of ribbon and the dot from the laser pointer.

Food wise she's doing fine. We found a wet food she likes, so she gets that twice a day. We also have Purina Pro Plan out for her all day. She was throwing up hairballs 1-2 times a week, but that's dropped to 1-2 times a month since we switched to hairball control food. She's been perfect with using the litterbox since we got her.

All in all she's fit in quite well, and we love having her.

September 23, 2017: Willa recently had her three year anniversary with us so we wanted to post an update. She is doing very, very well! She is still a shy girl, but she has bonded with us and is very loving. She is good friends with our black cat, Edgar, and has begun being friends with our most recent adoptee, Simon. She has really come out of her shell over the last three years, and while she is still skittish with strangers, she is incredibly affectionate with us.

SIMON
Stunningly handsome, seal point Meezer with a gentle manner and desire to be close to his purrson.

Simon loves to sleep on the bed and cuddle next to you at night. He is playful and active during the day - enjoys exploring closets and under beds.

Was surrendered by owners that did not appreciate his intensity and curiosity. He is fearful of being grabbed and somewhat shy about being picked up so I sense he may have been roughly treated in the past.

His soft, rumbling purr will delight and he will answer in his squeaky Meezer voice when you call him.

A seriously nice boy who is non-dominant and not aggressive to other cats. He is not a fighter and could be bullied by other cats. He would do very well with respectful children but would probably be afraid in an very busy or noisy home.

Notes from Home
Simon has been settling in quickly. He spent his first week in one of our spare bedrooms as his sanctuary space and quickly discovered both the cat bed and the human bed in that room! We started letting him explore parts of the house over the weekend and he has begun getting to know our other two cats. He is incredibly gentle with us and the other two cats, and everyone is starting to get friendly with one another. He is truly a sweetheart. He only does his Siamese meow when he's ready for his breakfast wet food in the morning!
9/23/17: Simon has continued to settle in beautifully with our two other cats! He has the full run of the house and has explored all the nooks and crannies. He is very active and playful and is already playing with the other cats, chasing them around the first floor, and playing with toy mice and glitter balls. When he's not napping, he likes to spend time with whatever human is home and is particularly fond of our human bed. Simon is a wonderful cat and is transitioning to his new home so well. We are thrilled with his progress and are so glad we could give him a good home.

FELIX
I just got here yesterday and already I want to get out of this playpen and run and play! Meowmy said I have to wait my 10 days first, and then I can. She said I have large paws and will probably grow up to be a big, very handsome fella. I already love to give her heabuts, and rubs, and purr non-stop. Do you think I'd fit into your lifestyle?

I'll let you know how I like the other kitties and the dog here, in a few days once I'm settled in.

Check out my video's and watch me play!

Notes from Home
We had to move to a second antibiotic, but Felix is now completely healthy. No more sneezes. And, he is a bundle of energy! He 's into everything and quite a player!

We finally introduced him to our two adult cats. It's gone really well. The adults don't wanna play with Felix, but they have adjusted to having him around really fast. They can all even sleep on one bed together. Sometime he tries to play rough and he gets a growl or hiss from one of the adults. But, no one is chasing anyone or swatting at anyone. And, we hope they get closer with time.

We love Felix and he seems really happy here!

-----

Felix is growing incredibly fast. He's probably a quarter larger than when we got him. He is still very sweet and playful. He likes to hang out in sinks, especially if the sink is damp from recent use. Too funny! He sleeps on our bed with us at night and hangs in my home office with me during the day. In general, he seems like a happy guy!

-----

We have had Felix for four years now! He is happy and healthy. We have moved to Switzerland and he seems to like it here. We have big windows where he can look our at trees and animals. He is sweet guy who likes to hang around a lot and can be very mushy when the mood strikes him. We are very happy!

-----

Felix has now been with us for five years and is doing very well! We are still in Switzerland. Our other two adults cats have passed away in recent years. So, we recently adopted a six-month old kitten here. Her name is Minu. Felix and Minu are best friends and may even be in love. They hang together, they play together constantly, and they even groom each other. We are really pleased that they have bonded like this!

-----

Felix is doing well as we start our sixth year. Bulking up a bit, so we are having to watch what he eats! He and Minu are still best friends. He still seems very happy here!

-----

Felix is healthy and happy. He and Minu are still pals. He has lost some weight, which is good. We are still thrilled to have him!

LEILA
Hi there! I'm Leila.

I arrived here on Saturday, April 6th, and have been under the weather, but am all feel better now. I was lost for a long time until nice folks at a warehouse found me and took me for help. Then Siamese Rescue said "We'll take her and make her feel better and then find her a forever home." That was my lucky day!

I like the boy fosters here, but not the female, so a home without another female is best for me. I also just love the nice soft Millie bed meowmy gave me to sleep in.
I am all ready to go home to someone who wants a loving lap cat. Is that you? If so, please ask about me. My bags are packed and I'm just waiting on you!

Purrs,
Leila

It's been a little over a week since Leila has been in her new home. She adapted EXTREMELY quick! She is just the sweetest little cat. She loves everybody and loves to be petted and LOVES to eat! She spends most of her days watching the birds, playing with her fish pole toy and getting lots of love. She has only cuddled in bed once and it didn't last very long - she is a busy body! I just love her to pieces!!!!!!

September: It's been about 3 months since I've become Leila's slave :) She is the silliest, sweetest, friendliest cat I've ever owned. I am so happy to have her. She loves to sit on the window sill and watch the world. Now that it is getting chilly out, she's been sleeping in bed with me. She wakes me up every morning with kisses and head butts. I just LOVE her!!!!!

December: 6 months of absolute joy!!!!! Leila is AWESOME!!!! She also has a new little brother Elliot the tiger. He loves her and she doesn't mind him most of the time. I even catch her playing with him and sometimes even cleaning him :) She is just a wonderful addition and I am so happy to have found her!!!!!

July 1: It's been a little over a year and Leila is doing amazing! She is still a chow hound and will eat ANYTHING that isn't put away in a cabinet! She will even eat bread! She loves laying in the window and in front of the slider, watching the birds at the feeder. She sleeps with her mama just about every night and wakes me up every morning. She is just the sweetest kitty in the world and I am so lucky she is mine :)

Three wonderful years with my baby girl!!! She is still doing amazingly well! She's definitely a mama'so girl. Her favorite position is on me! Lol! She still wakes me up with kisses and nibbles. She just had her yearly check up and no problems. I just love her :)

4 years! My baby girl is the love of my life! And she's a little weirdo! She's healthy and happy and loved! ❤

PEKOE
Just hit two weeks in foster care and I'm doing great but I sure don't like other animals! I absolutely love people, though!

If you need a lap warmer, I'm your girl!

Besides laps, my other favorite place is on your chest with my head next to your ear, the better to hear me purr!

Peaches, now Pekoe is doing so well and adapting to her new home. She loves her purple pad from Siamese Rescue and crosses her paws when she sits on it. We joke that she needs a throne because she often sits very regally.

NALA
Hi, I'm Lara. I've had a rough couple of weeks but I'm starting to come out of my shell a little bit. I'm in foster care with my brother Reese and I'm starting to learn things aren't so bad. Mealtimes are my favorite and I will come out of hiding to eat. I love Temptation treats and will suffer petting to get some. I found that I like chin skritches. I really like watching my foster dad from safe space as he plays and pets on Reese.

If you have a soft spot in your heart and a whole lot of patience to allow me to come out of my shell at my own pace, ask about me.

Update: After three weeks of hiding, I've decide I'm a bold kitty. (Well, okay, bold-ish. I can still get nervous if I think you are going to grab me.) I come out most times to see what foster dad is doing in the room. I really like to be petted. I love to be brushed. I will wind around you as you brush my soft coat.

Nala is Lara's new name. She is wonderful. She now comes out for longer periods from under bed, and loves when I pet her and rub under her chin. She comes right out when I come in room. Treats help 😉. She has made big strides and I'm proud of her. She is a bit afraid of my husband as he plays the guitar loud and she likes peace and quiet. Love her! I will try to get a good picture soon!! 📸

LUCY
Quiet, but opinionated lady. No need to worry about what I want - I will let you know in with an imperative MEOW!, or even a yowl if I don't like something. Luckily, what I want the most of is your attention. I'm a head-butting, cheek-rubbing, leg-winding fool. In fact, if you aren't petting me, I'll wind and rub against anything else in the area, until you do. I'm not really a lap cat, but I like to settle near my people. I am pretty energetic, although I don't seem to like to climb very much. Some of that energy comes out when I play, so I can be a bit rough with teeth and claws. A strong No! from foster mom reminds me that I need to back off a little. I haven't actually bitten anyone, but it is one of my communication styles. So I wouldn't be good with young children or the thin-skinned - at least until I learn better manners. Update: now that I have settled into this new place, I am much better with my teeth and claws - more like any other cat. I've been getting more and more affectionate and really, really want attention from people, even strangers.

`hi all
I will try this again. My last update did not go through.

Lucy continues to integrate well into ou household. She and Harry are getting more and more familiar daily. She is still skittish when he gets too close but they are sharing a litter box and eating in the same area. Lucy continues to explore but still seems to prefer the comfort of my study where she was originally in isolation. She is very playful and loves a range f new toys.

Lucy passed her vet check with flying colors. Her ears continue to have some debris and bacteria so we were sent home with a cleaner and ear drops. The vet noticed some slight irregularities in her kidneys and she did not take well to palpating them. The vet isn't worried but wants us to keep an eye out for any signs of urination problems.

Thanks so much for the care you all provided in her rescue, fostering, and placement. We are so happy to have her in our family!

9/20/17 Lucy is doing great one month after adoption. She is eating, drinking and using the litter box well and she is very affectionate with us. She still is wary with Harry and most often will hiss and swipe at him if he gets too close. We have been trying to get them more used to each other through joint play (see video if the upload comes through). We're so happy to have her in our home.
