TASHI
Oh, do I love to purr! I purr when I'm playing, I purr when you're petting me, I purr when I'm eating. Foster Mom says I probably purr sometimes when I'm sleeping but she hasn't seen it yet. I love to sit on your lap, climb on your shoulder, or play with my wand toy. And yes, I'll be purring all the while. Please please, pick me, pick me!

Notes from Home
Hi everyone! It's Shoshenq here! Yup, that's my new name. I'm an Egyptian pharaoh AND an adorable siamese! Meowmy named me that to complement my big Burmese sister, Anuket, who is a goddess of the River Nile. In addition to a new name, I have so many new TOYS! I love them all which is a good thing because I spend every waking minute PLAYING. I love everything from balls, crinkle toys, tissue paper, fake mice, imaginary shadows but especially...my big sister, Anuket's tail!!! Oooh! When she swishes it back and forth, I can't help myself and have to pounce on it...which results in a swat...although I'm too fast for her to catch me! I love my big sister so much but she doesn't want to play with me too much...yet. At first, she really didn't like me at all and would hiss. Meowmy had to keep us in separate rooms. But now we're sharing the whole house, she puts up with me and she even lets me sleep on her window perch and in her favorite basket. Besides playing, I like to EAT and drink my water. I've put on weight - at my 3 week mark I gained almost a whole pound! However, the food I was eating (Iams kitten food) was giving me a poopy butt. Meowmy brought me to the vet who prescribed a dewormer but it didn't do anything. So the vet put me on special gastroenteric food which is supposed to be nicer on my tummy and it's working! I went from making cow patties in the litter boxes (I've been perfect at using the litter boxes, by the way) to making tootsie rolls! Meowmy and the vet are very pleased. And Anuket also likes the new food so we're both eating it. The other big change is that my coloring is changing as I'm getting older - my points are getting darker and I'm starting to get some shading on my back/spine. I remain super cute! I want to finish this update by thanking my foster meowmy, my transporters and everyone at Siamese Rescue Center for finding me such a nice home and new Meowmy! I'm so happy in my new family!

SMOKEY
Hi! I'm Marty!
Noy sure what happened to me but I ended up out on the streets. Some folks picked me up and took me to the shelter. They felt bad for me 'cause my teeth were really bad. So they called Siamese Rescue to help me out.
I really like it here at my foster mom's place. She makes up some yummy food for me. I don't have any teeth now.
I like when she brushes me and picks me up to lap-sit. I just purr and purr. I get along with the resident cats okay. Sometimes I get a little over-stimulated if I think one of those kitties might take my toy. I have to give them a bop on the head. Then everything is fine.
So if you have some questions about me, ask my meommy!

10/10/17
Marty ventured out of his room within a few hours of arrival, to explore. He was comfortable with people immediately and has bonded with my mother. He sleeps in their bed! He has no fear of the dog or of trying to eat her food. My Dad could not catch him this morning for his vet appointment so it was rescheduled for Friday afternoon when I'll be there. We'll try to double team him. Evidently petting is OK but picking him up is not a thing yet.
I clean when I'm there and I was worried about his reaction to the vacuum cleaner, but although he does hide under the bed when I'm there, he doesn't seem to really care about my vacuuming. He's just hanging out trying to avoid getting knocked over.
I just found out that my mom renamed him "Smoky." Personally I wouldn't have done that since he's already at least 5, but then again I wasn't told outright that he's had that name since birth.
I hope he isn't too stressed about being put in his carrier again this Friday. I wish I could explain that he won't be dragged to yet another home. In time he'll be very comfortable there.
Thanks for everything!

ASIA BLUE GRACE
LOVELY very Siamese talkative gal! Approximate age of 9, I was given up reportedly for not liking other cats so would really prefer to be your one and only. I am a great Siamese talker and I love to ride on your shoulder - with only 5.5 pounds of me, it's easy to do! I'm a pleasant mix of true Siamese and interactive and comfortably independent, and I'd be an amazing cat for someone who just wanted a loving shoulder riding lovemuffin!

Notes from Home
Asia Blue Grace, had adjusted to her new home within a couple of hours. She is the sweetest kitty who loves to be held and be brushed. Her wand toys and mouse are her favorites. Asia is a high jumper for her petite size, and likes to keep her nails manicured by using her Sisel scratching post. She enjoys her millie bed for naps, but likes to sleep next to her new Meow mom, whose electric blanket on most nights. I am pleased to report that we found the hidden problem with her hair loss.
Asia has a major problem with her bowels. The ex ray showed her stools looking like small rocks clumped together. Her colon was not getting enough water to help her evacuate. So now she is on Lactulose, which is working Nicely! Her constitution is much better, and hopefully her fur will come back soon. She is a real luv. We are blessed to have her in our family. Thanks to all who helped get her to us, and to her foster mom, Siri. Asia and I will keep you posted on her progress.

PRINCESS
I think I like it here. I said goodbye to my friend, Willun, but now have other girl friends to snuggle with. I've met the doggies and put them in their place if they get in my face. I climb up on the tall cat tree when I want space to myself. I use the litterbox just fine and eat the food foster mom gives me - well, most of it.

I am an older girl with excellent bloodwork and don't even need a dental. Want to chat?

Notes from Home
Princess is just that! Royalty with a loving attitude. I can't imagine why this kitty was left in the shelter. She is so very affectionate, gets along wonderfully well with her other geezer buddies, and trots around with the agility of a kitten. She is opinionated, bossy, loving, and spunky all at the same time. Yup, unlike any other that's owned me but so worth the hard work to rehabilitate her. You'll never have to look far for her: just find a full millie bed and she's in it.

10/9/17 Princess just had her annual exam and handled like a very gentle kitty. The vet was impressed! All is well, she continues to be a cuddle kitty with her senior sisters.

COCO
Update` as promised, here's my full face photo shot. Check my gallery for more pictures on my lazy Sunday morning antics.

Purrs and twirls~ Monkey

Hello!
gobble-gobble
I just got here!
gobble-gobble
I am so hungry!
gobble-gobble
they should have name me Piggy instead of Monkey, though I am quite adept at scampering around too.

Foster mom keeps bringing me food and that makes me so happy, almost as happy as snuggling in her lap. I love attention so as soon as I gain some much needed weight, I'll have her snap a full face photo of me!

Notes from Home
Coco is doing well considering she has a very sensitive GI system from her FIP problem. She only weighs a little over 5 pounds and eats about a 1/4 cup of dry food (Hill's Science Diet Original) each day. She has more good days than bad, and has been pretty stable overall for the last year. Our vet told us about 1-1/2 years ago that she probably would not last for more than a few months, but has been with us for two years now. She will have her annual vet check later this month.

Her personality has really developed . . . very playful and talkative on her good days. She is a real creature of habit, and she has us trained pretty well. When we travel, we have good friends close by that come and visit and take care of her needs while we are gone. Our vet will not board her due to the FIP unless she would be kept in isolation. It is probably much better for her to stay in our home with good care when we are gone occasionally.

I have uploaded several pictures for you to see.

Added 10/18/2017: Coco is continuing to do well. Shortly after we adopted her in 2012, she was given a presumptive diagnosis of having FIP by our veterinarian. Her weight has stabilized at 5 pounds, and she has been receiving periodic depo-medrol injections to deal with her GI tract issues resulting from the FIP.

She has developed a great personality with all of the typical cat traits. Gets plenty of sleep and has become a creature of routines. She is a very picky eater that requires a variety of different foods since she gets tired of the same diet from time to time. Basically, she has become spoiled rotten! She usually starts the day by pouncing on us to wake us up in the morning. Morning is usually her most active part of the day.

When we travel, we have several "cat people" neighbors who are available to take care of her needs each day. Our Del Webb community has about 30 neighbors who are members of the "cat club" who cover for each others cats when needs arise. Cats tend to be much more comfortable in their own surroundings. One couple in particular usually comes and checks on her a couple times each day and spends a good deal of time with her.

I have posted several new pictures that show her in some of her favorite places in our home.

WINNIE
Hi, I'm Winnie, and I'm ready for a real home! I'm 100% kitten: active, smart, energetic, and outgoing, so I really need a home with another kitten or young cat to be my playmate, preferably a male. Don't worry, I'll make some time for you after we get done playing. Catch me if you can! Purrs, Winnie

Notes from Home
Winnie, who was renamed Loki after I got her, lost her battle with lymphoma Sept 25th, after being cancer free for 2+ years. She was on chemo right after her initial diagnosis ( 2014) and did really well with that treatment for 6 months.

We had her for 3 extra years because of a wonderful vet who was willing to try to extend her life as medically sound and using what was best for her. The vet is now using the "Loki protocol" on other animals who are in similar medical condition. At no time was her care less then fabulous or her well being not considered. She was amazing through her illness and was always looking up at us with round "what are you doing" eyes.

We miss her every day and are grateful that we had her as long as we did. Thank you Siamese Rescue for letting us give her a home and enjoy the wonderful, sweet cat she was.

KITANA
05/16/16

Adorable?? YUP!!

Playful?? Yup!!

Healthy?? Yup!!

Cat and dog friendly?? Yup, Yup, Yup!!

People friendly?? Pet me? Hmmmm...... nope. Pick me up?? NO WAY!

Will need a home with a small space that will let me readjust. Will need an adopter that will accept me for what I am and work with me to make me better. Will need an adopter that will understand I may never want to be cuddled and will be ok with that.

I am definitely a LONG TERM PROJECT! Are you up for the challenge?

Cafe has been integrated with my adult cats and two dogs for two weeks. She has had full run of the house and has learned and adapted to the routine. Her videos are from when she was in the foster room and had only me to interact and play with. I have only been able to pet her five times since she has been loose. She still runs from me, but since I don't try to pet her she is slowing down. She is a girlie girl and a bit of a diva and she says SHE will call the shots.

03/26/16

From a hoarder in MD. One of 50 cats taken by animal control. Apparently we were fed some, but received no interaction, attention, affection or love, and never picked up to cuddle. So my sistur, Widget and I are here with foster mom to learn how to "cat".

05/07/16

Widget has gone on to her forever home where she can get lots and lots of individual attention and every chance to become a happy loving companion. It's a tough road, but her new meowmy is determined and Widget will have every chance to blossom into whatever makes her happy.

05/11/16

Cafe is making wonderful progress. She will definitely need a patient adopter willing to keep her in a small space and continue to work on her social skills. Another kitten or cat friendly feline resident will be required as well as experience with cats from a "semi-feral" background.

She was the most wonderful spirited cat I ever known. She made progress and grew while I had her but today her heart was bad her lungs filled with fluid the vet couldn’t save my little Kitana. I will miss her so much she gave my cat Ninja a perfect friend.

SARAH P. DUKE
Being one of the Dukes, I just don't understand how anyone could pass me by. Am I not good enough for you or perhaps you are not good enough for me. I certainly need only the best of homes. So if you think you can meet my standards than ask about me.

Sarah is a sweetheart and so calm. She loves to relax and cuddle. Sarah is quite playful and has loves affection. She has been a wonderful addition to our home.

She loves our oldest, whom she sleeps next to nightly. She is not fond of strangers, rather enjoys hiding when anyone new comes around. She does enjoy lounging by her favorite people and enjoys being petted and cuddled.

QUESTION
IS there something wrong with me that you have not asked about me? So I am a older kitten, so what? I still play and leap and run with the best of them. I have sisters that I get along great with as I would with your cat. So come on, ask about me.

ALYSE
Ready to make your acquaintance! And you and you and you! I'm an outgoing ambassador type cat. I don't have dog experience but am dog curious. As far as other kitties go I could go with a rambunctious outgoing male kitten and do very well, I'd also be just fine as the only cat. I love a good game of play (by myself or with you) and I'm pretty good in the lap sitting department too! Older kids would be wonderful if they want a buddy who will follow them around and entertain and be entertained for hours!

Notes from Home
Alyse is doing very well - she's such a nice cat! She's still a rather round shaped cat who clearly enjoys her food, but she still REALLY enjoys playing! Her favorite toy these days is a mouse on a rope which she's never seems to tire of chasing and catching and bunny kicking. Thank you again to foster Mom Siri, interviewer Peggy and Team Meezer Express for sending Alyse to us six months ago!

Two year anniversary was October 1st!! Alyse is doing very well -- had her vet checkup today -- she continues to thoroughly enjoy her food and playing with toys, loves to be combed and brushed, and is a great lap sitter. New pictures attached show her other favorite activities -- relaxing and sleeping!

6 year anniversary! Alyse -otherwise known as Allie the Cat – is the best! At an estimated 12 years old, she is slowing down - prefers snoozing to playing - but has been doing well for several years on a wet food only prescription diet for chronic inflammatory bladder. Loves to be combed and brushed almost every night after dinner. She is still a super lap sitter, and loves her several Millie beds, especially in the winter months when she can be found curled up in one in front of a heat vent.
