TOBY
I got hit by a car when I was a wee one. It messed my front leg up and everyone was hoping it would get better. Well, I can't really use it and might have to get it taken off. I am also on the shy side and really prefer cats over people. So if your cat needs a buddy then I might be a fit. No bullies though - I am shy and gentle.

p.s. I really hate being in a carrier so I am looking for a home that is somewhat close by - under 5 hours travel would be best.

Toby has been home 2 weeks. He is doing fantastic. He is sweet though shy & is fully intregrated with all his siblings. All is well with the other cats accept the hissy missy Crystal ve 8831 still growls at him. He is playing with his toys & loves the tunnels. He marches around with his tail straight up in the air. His injured leg doesn't stop him from runnng & jumping. We want to thank his foster Mom Debra L for taking such good care of him. We also thank SCRC for letting us adopt such a wonderful little guy.

Toby is doing really well in his new home. He loves his siblings & plays all the time. He is sleeping on the bed during the day with his brothers & with us overnight. He is now racing up & down the steps. His bad paw does not slow him down at all. Yes we love him.

Toby is doing fantastic in his new home. He fits in so well. He is such a gentle little soul. Still shy but loves to be petted. He is growing & had a good Vet visit with Dr Heather. We are just thrilled with him.

Six months has flown by. Toby is doing fantastic. He is still a shy boy but loves to be petted. He loves all kinds of toys & the cat tunnels. His bad leg does not slow him down one bit. He is a darling cat & he could not be a better fit for our household. He loves everyone & has even won our hissy missy Crystal va8831. To say he is loved is an understatement. Thank you Siamese rescue for saving him & to his foster Mom Debra L for taking such good care of him before he came to his forever home.

One year ago today we picked up our baby. He is doing very well. He is a very gentle sensitive guy. He is still very shy but he loves to be petted. He & his brother Jack play together running in & out of the tunnels. He doesn't let his bad paw slow him down. Thank you to Debra L for taking such good care of him & SCRC for letting us adopt him.

RAYMO
A snuffleufflegus, I have some chronic sneezes (I will be checked out for polyps and have my teeth done which may help) but am otherwise a super loving outgoing chocolate boy!

Notes from Home
Let’s see, where to start... His name is Raymo, but I refer to him simply as Rotten, because he is! I have learned if I leave him for any length of time I need to be prepared to just sit down and let him have some lap time because he’s not having it any other way. I have quickly become his person. He is sweet and welcoming to anyone that comes in, and he certainly does his own evaluation of their lap, but then he comes and sits with me. He will go to them if they call him, but only to see what they want, or perhaps if they know where the treats are!!

Raymo is a great boy, and very loving and attentive. He is very opinionated, and doesn’t mind conveying them in many different ways. There have been ZERO behavior issues that I have seen. Frankly, I’m at a loss as to how he ended up in Rescue, but from my persoective I’m so glad he did! More later, he’s in my lap as I type this and I need to convince him he needs to get up as I have chores!

SKYE
A bit afraid of the world, I'm looking for a quiet home that doesn't mind a ghost cat to start and can put some work into the little project that I am. I'm not feral, I'm not unsocialized, I'm just terribly inexperienced with being loved. I'm not going to seek you out, but hope you will seek me out. I'm not going to seek out other cats, but if they loved me, I could be loved. I'll hide a lot, but with hands on, you can get me to purr. I'll take some convincing, and am hoping someone wants to try!

This cat is not suitable for children under the age of 5 (ie 5 and over is OK). This is typically a cat that is shy and a child might scare it, or one that has a potential to bite or play too hardNot with kids under 5

Notes from Home
It only took Skye about 24 hours to venture out from her hiding spot under the bed. I was very surprised when she did given how shy she is. She allowed me to pet her and purred. I was ecstatic. The picture is of Raymo reassuring her that I'm an ok guy. He is very attentive to her and tries hard to reassure her. When she retreats under furniture for a nap, he rats her out by laying next to what ever she is under so I know where she is. It's been a great first 72 hours with the new "kids". I'm sure I will have much more later.

JEREMY
I have been in quite a few foster homes in my short life. Foster mom says this will be the last one because my next home will be forever. Forever sounds REALLY good.....

Notes from Home
Jeremy is doing wonderfully! Thanks for remembering his 3-year anniversary today! He's such a sweet, calm boy .. not a mean bone in his body. He has grown into a stunning blue point boy, just gorgeous.

We lost his beloved fur-sis, Shelby, in May .. very difficult. But we now have Kelsey, a rescued young Chocolate Point Siamese mix from NY. She and Jeremy have become best buddies, they play together, groom each other and get along so well. Jeremy is still timid with strangers, that's just his personality .. but he is so sweet and loving and brings me such joy. Thank you again to Siamese Rescue for bringing him into my life and for the wonderful work you do!

Purrs,
Meowmy Joanne, Jeremy and Kelsey

DAIQUIRI
Quieter, introspective guy with long legs and a long tail and the bluest eyes you have ever seen on a blue! I came in with roommate Angelina, and I am one of the most sensitive needy guys that's been here in a very long time. I need to be held and loved on as much as possible, gee, 25/7 would work for me if that works for you. Otherwise I'll wait patiently till you have time to carry me around and kiss me all over. I'm a lap sitter / hugger / patter / needy puss! I have been SO sad at the loss of my former life it's not even to be believed, but maybe, just maybe, there will be a light at the end of this ordeal?

Notes from Home

After seven years in my furever home I am enjoying the life of a retired gentleman in Mesquite Nevada. I have my own screened in porch and staff to let me in and out to my little heart’s desire. I can’t go out till day light and have to come in when it gets dark ( just when it is getting interesting) but other than that life is very good. I have my perch in a front window where I can soak up the morning sun and the back porch gets the afternoon sun. I just kick back soak up the sun and enjoy life. Occasionally a lizard will get into the porch and the chase is on. Not to brag, but let’s just say Daiquiri 3 lizards 0. I can normally get mama to give me several “snacks” during the course of the day. I am still a skinny as can be however, I rarely miss a meal. I have even taken to exploring the garage from time to time.

I am now a big brother to a 19 month old flame boy called Wiki. I have made an excellent big bother and the kid still wants me to clean his head! When is he going to start cleaning my head? I am very generous with my belly and one of the best things in the world is to get my belly rugged and my ears and scratched at the same time . I will lay around for the longest time if someone will just rub my belly and talk to me softly.

I am still quite shy and do not like strangers coming to the house, but if they come by often enough I have started to get use to them and no longer hide. We all had our physicals in July, got our shots and are good to go till next year. New tags and nails clipped every few weeks.

Nevada has lots more to offer that Virginia did not. First of all I can stay on my porch almost all year round and NO FLEAS!!! They have funny birds that walk instead of fly. I heard they were called roadrunners, but all I have seen is them walking. And then those big fat birds that waddle thru my yard on their way to someplace else. They look like quail but someone said they were Chukkas--- whatever the heck that is.

Life is good and I am glad I found my furever home. I do hope all of my cousins would be as lucky as I am. I would wish they too could find a happy home and be safe and loved as I am.

Aren't I just a handsome dude? I love to talk it up big in that Siamese way. The dog seems nice, but I'll need to get back to you about the cats.

Notes from Home
Augustus (we kept the name given) has been with us a month. We love our little guy. He is smart, vocal, friendly, engaging and owns our big home. We initialy identified small signs of abuse, i.e. being frightened of a newspaper, afraid of big men-my husband is one.

From this third day with us my animal magnet husband began feeding Augustus, four week later he is a Mom and Dad's boy. Whereever we are he is there! we have a high ceiling three story home and he does get his exercise running up and down those staircases to keep tract of his new parents.

We love our little guy and he returns that love with great affection. Will download photos when I can.

BAILEY
The BEST hugs ever. Seriously. No kidding. I just cling and cling, full body, arms around you, and don't want to ever let go.

Who needs more than that?

Notes from Home
We introduced Bailey & Scuzi early this morning. We have waited a full two weeks to integrate Bailey very slowly. So far, things are going very well. Only one very minor 'kerfuffle" when Bailey felt cornered by Scuzi. I think Scuzi & Bailey will do just fine together. Scuzi is trying to get Bailey to chase her, as this is one of the ways she likes to play. So far, so good, Bailey is a very affectionate cat, and loves everyone. He is eating & drinking well. As soon as the two cats are completely comfortable with each other, I will make the vet checkup appointment for Bailey. He seems very healthy & energetic for his age!
11/11/15 Bailey is doing just great! At this moment, he is sleeping in our bed, under the blankets! I am so glad that we chose Bailey. He has even sat on my husband's lap. He will be seen by our vet next week. He & Scuzi are very compatible. My daughter Sue & I just adore him.
10/10/17
Hi Kathi, and thank you for remembering our sweet Bailey's anniversary! He was checked over by our vet about 2 months ago, and is doing & feeling great! He is still a bit thin, but he is eating well, and is very, very, active. He and Scuzi love to run & chase each other, so they both get some good exercise. Bailey sleeps with me almost every night, which I love. Both cats really enjoy our sun/screened room, where they can nap or watch birds, squirrels, groundhogs, chipmunks, deer, and wild turkeys from a safe vantage point. We love Bailey more every day, and are so grateful for having him love us. I would love to send a picture, but I don't know how to do that. Many thanks to all of you at S C R C.

FLAMBE
Looking for a nonstop cuddler who wants nonstop tummy rubs? That's me!

I had a rough start. When the Miami shelter called my rescue angel to pick me up,. I couldn't walk upright, due to dislocation in both knees. To save me from cetain euthanasia at the shelter, she took me to her vet, and my knees were repaired surgically, and now I can run like other cats!

Since I arrived with foster mom, I have been nothing more than a little angel. I love to play with the four resident cats, but spend a lot of time on the cat tree by myself, waiting for foster mom to come in and put m on her lap.

My litter box habits are impeccable, I eat "the good food", and am a sweet mellow soul. I would fit in well with a household who had another mellow cat like myself,and/or a human who can appreciate and return all the love I have to give.

I'm o.k. with gentle dogs who don't want to chase or bark at me.

GET TO KNOW ME THROUGH MY VIDEOS!

Notes from Home
Flambe is an awesome cat. I love him so much. I hate leaving him when I go to work, but he seems fine and then as soon as I get home he greets me and follows me around. He is so sweet and loves to be near you. He is comfortable around one of my guy friends that visits and goes up to him as well and jumps on his head etc. He is a silly cat and quite crazy when he plays running back and forth and all around but then when he calms down he wants to be right by you and wants to snuggle. I am so happy to come home to him and even spend my days with him when I don't have to work. He also reminds me of 2 Siamese I had that passed, he is a mix between the 2 so I feel they are still around. I am glad I found Flambe and that I am now his mommy forever!

10.10.17 - Flambe has been good. We travel a lot to my mom's house so I can dog sit and he gets along with the dogs and the other cat Oli. My friend even brought his yorkie over once and he was sniffing her and trying to play with her. He seems to adapt well but whenever we are in a new environment, even if he is comfortable there, he always looks for me especially when I come home from work and when it is time for bed he sleeps by me. When I had to sleep on a Twin mattress then he would curl up between my legs. I am now seeing a guy and he loves him too. Flambe licks his head and sleeps with us and always wants to be around us so he is quite the loveable cat. And his meow is a little squeak, it is so cute. His fur is very soft. He seems to be doing well overall.

TASHI
Oh, do I love to purr! I purr when I'm playing, I purr when you're petting me, I purr when I'm eating. Foster Mom says I probably purr sometimes when I'm sleeping but she hasn't seen it yet. I love to sit on your lap, climb on your shoulder, or play with my wand toy. And yes, I'll be purring all the while. Please please, pick me, pick me!

Huge purrs

Notes from Home
Hi everyone! It's Shoshenq here! Yup, that's my new name. I'm an Egyptian pharaoh AND an adorable siamese! Meowmy named me that to complement my big Burmese sister, Anuket, who is a goddess of the River Nile. In addition to a new name, I have so many new TOYS! I love them all which is a good thing because I spend every waking minute PLAYING. I love everything from balls, crinkle toys, tissue paper, fake mice, imaginary shadows but especially...my big sister, Anuket's tail!!! Oooh! When she swishes it back and forth, I can't help myself and have to pounce on it...which results in a swat...although I'm too fast for her to catch me! I love my big sister so much but she doesn't want to play with me too much...yet. At first, she really didn't like me at all and would hiss. Meowmy had to keep us in separate rooms. But now we're sharing the whole house, she puts up with me and she even lets me sleep on her window perch and in her favorite basket. Besides playing, I like to EAT and drink my water. I've put on weight - at my 3 week mark I gained almost a whole pound! However, the food I was eating (Iams kitten food) was giving me a poopy butt. Meowmy brought me to the vet who prescribed a dewormer but it didn't do anything. So the vet put me on special gastroenteric food which is supposed to be nicer on my tummy and it's working! I went from making cow patties in the litter boxes (I've been perfect at using the litter boxes, by the way) to making tootsie rolls! Meowmy and the vet are very pleased. And Anuket also likes the new food so we're both eating it. The other big change is that my coloring is changing as I'm getting older - my points are getting darker and I'm starting to get some shading on my back/spine. I remain super cute! I want to finish this update by thanking my foster meowmy, my transporters and everyone at Siamese Rescue Center for finding me such a nice home and new Meowmy! I'm so happy in my new family!
