Notes from Home
Bacall has been with us for over a week now. Her integration with Andy has been very quick and after only been 24 hours here they were roaming around the house together. Bacall's definitely a foodie, so its going take a little more time making sure she eats her portion and leaves Andy's alone, although for now we have no concern as there is always left over food (half cup for each) at the end of the day as we feed them in the AM. Bacall also has taken a liking to wet food, as we have to feed Andy a small portion each night so he can take his lysene, so we make sure to give her a small portion without any medicine. There is still some jealousy between them in the early mornings when we are getting ready to leave for work, but so far its only manifested as some 'paw raising' and some growling from Bacall. Her personality is so loving and affectionate, she is always ready to give nice strong headbutts and deep purrs. I feel she and Andy are going to get along great once she is settled in. We are considering changing her name, as she does not answer to Bacall. Unlike Andy, who was answering to his name the first day we received him.

Hello everyone,
Just wanted to give you all a quick update on Bacall. She responded well to her meds and the sneezing has stopped. Let's hope we got it for good! She is the sweetest girl with the strongest head butts. We absolutely love her and it's safe to say Andy does too. The two of them are inseparable, literally. They follow each other everywhere and demand that we give love and plays together. It's not easy playing with one feather wand with two cats! Everything is going very well here and she has nestled in perfectly. Thank you again for placing these two sweet kitties in our hands. I attached some photos to both Bacall and Andy's profile for you to see!

MILLY
I just got here but I already like to give head butts and be petted. Life is good.

Notes from Home
Milly (aka Brystal) is settling in well. She already has let our Westies know that she is the boss. Super friendly to everyone who has been to visit-- both my son & grandson wanted to take her home with them. Took her to the vet today for her runny eye & nose. Vet gave her a clean bill f health except for the viral infection of her eye & nose and her swollen leaking breasts ( vet felt because she was 1/2 way thru her pregnancy when spayed, her body hasn't adjusted to not having kittens yet.

Miss Milly Kitty is doing great. She loves lounging on the benches n our sunroom watching the birds and squirrels and batting the dogs as they walk by. She gets along well with both dogs as long as they remember she is the boss. She generally sleeps on our bed and when the dogs wake up in the crates in another room and bark asking to go out, she comes and let's us know they are ready. Then she will watch from the door or w dos whoe they do their business and occasionally try to escape and go with them. She use her cardboard scratching pads but occasionally has to be reminded by water pistal not to use the furniture or rugs, she is very curious and friendly and greets all guests at tHe front door. She is an absolute delight and very much part of our family.

MIss Milly s doing great. She had her annual check up & shots last week and the vet says she is a perfect weight & one fof the friendliest cats she has ever met. Everyone loves her (except maybe our youngest Westie who still is jealous however still usually gets along with her).

ASIA
One for the money, two for the show, three to get ready and away we go. Plenty of energy going on here. No doubt you will be seeing my brothers and sister on the rescue web pages. I am the smallest but bright eyed and beautiful. I am sure foster mom will be adding information as she gets to know me. I am a little one so a one day transport is all I can do. I think that would be FL, GA, or SC. I will need a kitten or young cat to be my buddy. I am so used to being with all my siblings that I need some company in my new home.

Asia is the most loving cat in the world. I adore her. She's healthy, happy and cuddly. I'll add some photos so you can see her. 💞🐾💕

Asia is wonderful. She's healthy and happy. Sadly, her Sphynx Pal, Isys, passed away on September 1st. It was sudden and fast. Isys was very, very loved.

Happy, healthy, totally loving!

DENALI
Adopt Me! So far I'm PURRFECT! Of course, I may have my secrets, so I will share those if I must.....

Notes from Home
My beloved Denali is critically ill, vet thinks liver cancer or pancreatitis, and we have to take him back tomorrow to be euthanized as he’s not responding to supportive treatments. I would like to reactivate my status for adoption and hopefully find another young adult sweet male lap cat who would be a good playmate & companion for our 3-year old lynx point female and for our quiet home environment. Thanks for your assistance.

10/16 Update. We adopted Marina from a Maryland animal rescue site in November 2017. She was reported to be 1 year, but based on her being pregnant at intake to the rescue, the vet estimated her age at 2-3. So, her current age is 4-5 years. She is not declawed, very playful and interactive, and weighs 13 pounds. She LOVED Denali and they played well together considering the age difference and nearly always slept together and groomed each other.

TOBY
I got hit by a car when I was a wee one. It messed my front leg up and everyone was hoping it would get better. Well, I can't really use it and might have to get it taken off. I am also on the shy side and really prefer cats over people. So if your cat needs a buddy then I might be a fit. No bullies though - I am shy and gentle.

p.s. I really hate being in a carrier so I am looking for a home that is somewhat close by - under 5 hours travel would be best.

Toby has been home 2 weeks. He is doing fantastic. He is sweet though shy & is fully intregrated with all his siblings. All is well with the other cats accept the hissy missy Crystal ve 8831 still growls at him. He is playing with his toys & loves the tunnels. He marches around with his tail straight up in the air. His injured leg doesn't stop him from runnng & jumping. We want to thank his foster Mom Debra L for taking such good care of him. We also thank SCRC for letting us adopt such a wonderful little guy.

Toby is doing really well in his new home. He loves his siblings & plays all the time. He is sleeping on the bed during the day with his brothers & with us overnight. He is now racing up & down the steps. His bad paw does not slow him down at all. Yes we love him.
12/30/16
Toby is doing fantastic in his new home. He fits in so well. He is such a gentle little soul. Still shy but loves to be petted. He is growing & had a good Vet visit with Dr Heather. We are just thrilled with him.

Six months has flown by. Toby is doing fantastic. He is still a shy boy but loves to be petted. He loves all kinds of toys & the cat tunnels. His bad leg does not slow him down one bit. He is a darling cat & he could not be a better fit for our household. He loves everyone & has even won our hissy missy Crystal va8831. To say he is loved is an understatement. Thank you Siamese rescue for saving him & to his foster Mom Debra L for taking such good care of him before he came to his forever home.

One year ago today we picked up our baby. He is doing very well. He is a very gentle sensitive guy. He is still very shy but he loves to be petted. He & his brother Jack play together running in & out of the tunnels. He doesn't let his bad paw slow him down. Thank you to Debra L for taking such good care of him & SCRC for letting us adopt him.

Notes from Home
Let’s see, where to start... His name is Raymo, but I refer to him simply as Rotten, because he is! I have learned if I leave him for any length of time I need to be prepared to just sit down and let him have some lap time because he’s not having it any other way. I have quickly become his person. He is sweet and welcoming to anyone that comes in, and he certainly does his own evaluation of their lap, but then he comes and sits with me. He will go to them if they call him, but only to see what they want, or perhaps if they know where the treats are!!

Raymo is a great boy, and very loving and attentive. He is very opinionated, and doesn’t mind conveying them in many different ways. There have been ZERO behavior issues that I have seen. Frankly, I’m at a loss as to how he ended up in Rescue, but from my persoective I’m so glad he did! More later, he’s in my lap as I type this and I need to convince him he needs to get up as I have chores!

SKYE
A bit afraid of the world, I'm looking for a quiet home that doesn't mind a ghost cat to start and can put some work into the little project that I am. I'm not feral, I'm not unsocialized, I'm just terribly inexperienced with being loved. I'm not going to seek you out, but hope you will seek me out. I'm not going to seek out other cats, but if they loved me, I could be loved. I'll hide a lot, but with hands on, you can get me to purr. I'll take some convincing, and am hoping someone wants to try!

Notes from Home
It only took Skye about 24 hours to venture out from her hiding spot under the bed. I was very surprised when she did given how shy she is. She allowed me to pet her and purred. I was ecstatic. The picture is of Raymo reassuring her that I'm an ok guy. He is very attentive to her and tries hard to reassure her. When she retreats under furniture for a nap, he rats her out by laying next to what ever she is under so I know where she is. It's been a great first 72 hours with the new "kids". I'm sure I will have much more later.

Jeremy is doing wonderfully! Thanks for remembering his 3-year anniversary today! He's such a sweet, calm boy .. not a mean bone in his body. He has grown into a stunning blue point boy, just gorgeous.

We lost his beloved fur-sis, Shelby, in May .. very difficult. But we now have Kelsey, a rescued young Chocolate Point Siamese mix from NY. She and Jeremy have become best buddies, they play together, groom each other and get along so well. Jeremy is still timid with strangers, that's just his personality .. but he is so sweet and loving and brings me such joy. Thank you again to Siamese Rescue for bringing him into my life and for the wonderful work you do!

Purrs,
Meowmy Joanne, Jeremy and Kelsey

DAIQUIRI
Quieter, introspective guy with long legs and a long tail and the bluest eyes you have ever seen on a blue! I came in with roommate Angelina, and I am one of the most sensitive needy guys that's been here in a very long time. I need to be held and loved on as much as possible, gee, 25/7 would work for me if that works for you. Otherwise I'll wait patiently till you have time to carry me around and kiss me all over. I'm a lap sitter / hugger / patter / needy puss! I have been SO sad at the loss of my former life it's not even to be believed, but maybe, just maybe, there will be a light at the end of this ordeal?

Notes from Home

After seven years in my furever home I am enjoying the life of a retired gentleman in Mesquite Nevada. I have my own screened in porch and staff to let me in and out to my little heart’s desire. I can’t go out till day light and have to come in when it gets dark ( just when it is getting interesting) but other than that life is very good. I have my perch in a front window where I can soak up the morning sun and the back porch gets the afternoon sun. I just kick back soak up the sun and enjoy life. Occasionally a lizard will get into the porch and the chase is on. Not to brag, but let’s just say Daiquiri 3 lizards 0. I can normally get mama to give me several “snacks” during the course of the day. I am still a skinny as can be however, I rarely miss a meal. I have even taken to exploring the garage from time to time.

I am now a big brother to a 19 month old flame boy called Wiki. I have made an excellent big bother and the kid still wants me to clean his head! When is he going to start cleaning my head? I am very generous with my belly and one of the best things in the world is to get my belly rugged and my ears and scratched at the same time . I will lay around for the longest time if someone will just rub my belly and talk to me softly.

I am still quite shy and do not like strangers coming to the house, but if they come by often enough I have started to get use to them and no longer hide. We all had our physicals in July, got our shots and are good to go till next year. New tags and nails clipped every few weeks.

Nevada has lots more to offer that Virginia did not. First of all I can stay on my porch almost all year round and NO FLEAS!!! They have funny birds that walk instead of fly. I heard they were called roadrunners, but all I have seen is them walking. And then those big fat birds that waddle thru my yard on their way to someplace else. They look like quail but someone said they were Chukkas--- whatever the heck that is.

Life is good and I am glad I found my furever home. I do hope all of my cousins would be as lucky as I am. I would wish they too could find a happy home and be safe and loved as I am.
