ROCCO
Someone left me to fend for myself in a feral cat colony! Feral? Not me. I'm cute, I'm friendly, and I can be yours! I've met the other cats here, and I just love them. I play with them and rub up against them. And one of the big guys taught me to climb the baby gates and run free through the house! I don't understand why foster mom wasn't quite as happy about that as I was :( We were just having fun! I use my litter box like a good boy, I like to be cuddled, and I am learning that cat trees and cardboard scratch boxes are where my claws belong. Once the sun comes out, there will be new pictures and a movie of me an my new friends. In the meantime feel free to ask about me.

Notes from Home
I can't believe it's already been 2 years since I got Rocco! He's still really active and runs amok, zooming through the apartment. He likes to wrestle with Ami and is usually close to her, but has developed a bit more independence now that's we've been in the same place for a while. He eats a lot and has gotten heavier but the vet says he's still at a healthy weight. He sleeps on my bed for part of the night now that it's colder. He is very very affectionate and persistent about getting the pets. He is pretty tolerant for a time with being picked up and held but soon will complain and knows when I say "okay" he can jump free and run around again. It's cranberry season so I give Rocco cranberries and call them "toys" and he plays with them until they are dry and shriveled up. He has also become braver with my workout machine and now sees this as a time to get more pets and turns on his charm and gets super purry and even jumps up on the bench with me - maybe he's jealous the workout machine takes attention away from him? I've attached my first pictures of him because they popped up in my Facebook memories and even on the first day he was a lap cat.

MERLIN
I am quite a shy cat who is going to require what Aunt Siri terms 'tough love'. That means someone who can get down on their hands and knees and reach under beds and cabinets to pull me out, sit with me on the floor in their lap, and repeat, repeat, repeat. I am doing well on a special single protein diet which is over the counter and which is helping some possible food sensitivities, so will need to stay on this diet (wet and dry, Natural Balance Duck and Green Pea).

Notes from Home
Merlin is nearing his 2 month anniversary and what a busy 2 months. For weeks we couldn't get him out of our bathroom. Then we couldn't get him out of the bedroom. Now he rules the house. He stands on top of the staircase at bedtime and meows his head off, telling us its bedtime. He will bounce down the stairs, jump on each of us, then run to the top of the stairs and meow, meow meow. Once we get upstairs, he keeps his eye on both of us until its lights out. If I load the dishwasher, he will peek into the kitchen and remind me its bedtime! Then once we are tucked in he jumps in bed and purrs, curls up and time to sleep. 4 in the morning seems to be his time to get up. He will wash our faces, bat us with his paw and then start playing with his toys. He has figured out this doesn't work much. He eats well, spends lots of time on our laps, plays with his toys (catnip is his favorite) and is not afraid of visitors! Both my son and his girlfriend and my daughter and her husband have visited and Merlin is very curious and friendly. Loud bangs still make him jump. Once in a while he will jump on a counter to see what's going on, but not a regular thing. He is not a scratcher, but he will use his scratching pad quite often. And he loves Turkey treats! His first vet visit went very well and he has gained weight and his coat and skin are doing great.

12/11/2017
Merlin has been with us for just over 6 months now and he is doing great. He waits by the front door for us to come home and talks about his day. He loves his catnip toys and they are all over the house. He doesn't like the vacuum cleaner. He knows what closet it is in and anytime the door is opened to that room he runs away, even if the vacuum isn't what we are in there for. When people come by he is very friendly and jumps on their laps. He loves to get them to follow him down the hall to "his room" so they can see his scratcher, his toys and his food dish. Laying on my lap is a bit of and understatement, he spreads out completely and you will get the evil eye should you move too much! We have continued to feed him the same brand of cat food, except we have changed up the flavors from time to time. He doesn't like turkey and giblets wet food much. Everything else seems ok. His coat is silky smooth, but brushing him can be a chore. He lets you brush a bit then starts to bat at the brush. Treats keep him busy, and he loves them. He knows what cupboard they are in too.

Notes from Home
January 12, 2016. "CoCo" is doing fantastically well, and he has perfectly adjusted to his surroundings, and he seems almost as happy as his new parents! He has bonded with both of us (Britt and Tom), but especially Tom! He is a truly beautiful, highly intelligent Siamese with curiosity and sweetness, the best of any cat we have ever owned! He can be fiesty, but when he plays with me around his cat tree, he doesn't bear his claws! This is the first cat we've ever had over the years not to do that when playing. He loves his Amarkat B5701 Cat Tree and his many "mice," but above all he loves the "feather" bird-like "Pet Fit For Life 2 Feather Teaser and Exerciser Cat Wand. He carries his toys around with him all over the place. His newest pleasure is a heated pad for his bed, a 4-watt K&H Pet Bed Warmer! He is relaxing in it at this moment!

"CoCo" is a wonderful Siamese, and we're very fortunate to have been able to adopt him. He is a part of our family.

December 11, 2017. CoCo is doing well and is very healthy and content after two years! He gets full annual checkups, and on August 2, 2017, he had his 2nd full annual checkup at Westchester Veterinary Hospital in High Point, NC, and he got a very healthy "clean bill of health." His weight is 10.5 lbs, up slightly, but he is muscular and fit. He has strongly bonded with Tom, and he is a wonderful companion, very intelligent and curious. His earlier shyness has begun to disappear. and his demeanor has more relaxed now than at the beginning!

BOB ROSS
My name is Bob Ross and I'm here because of the economy. I'm not sure what that means, but I don't like it! I've just arrived and missing my home but this Meezer Castle isn't too bad. I brought my own cat tree, litter box and toys. I've already been head butting and purring for my foster mom but would really like my own home soon. Please ask about me!

We love Marbles. She is the sweetest, more fearless little cat. She is with us always and even hangs out with the housekeepers. They have figured out the way to her heart is through treats. She loves them too and is totally unafraid of the vacuum. Thank you Siamese rescue for saving this little girl.

11/20/13 It has been a year since I started the adoption process and ending up with my Marbles. She is the love of my life and I am so glad to have her. She has put a damper on my travels as I do not like to leave her. I am officially a crazy cat lady. She loves me to chase her around the house. I always wonder if she would like a fur buddy as she likes to play. She travels between Florida and Virginia twice a year with no problem. She is uber loving and is helping me write this update. Marbles is my first experience with Siamese kitties, she will not be my last. She is a wonderful ambassador for the breed. Thank you Siamese rescue and everyone have a great Thanksgiving!

12/10/14 This marks our 2nd anniversary. It has been a fantastic two years. Marbles remains a wonderful kitty and my constant companion. I often wonder if she would like a kitty friend to play with so if Siamese Rescue has any suggestions let me know. Still not sure how old she is, my vet in Florida thinks she is between 8-12 years old. That only makes me sad because I want to have her with me as long as possible. Hope everyone has a great holiday season. Hugs to all the kitties and everyone at SCRC. p.s. I often wish this section were interactive because I read about adopters who adopt sick or old or hard to place cats. I just want to thank them for what they do too!!

12/12/16 Marbles remains the joy of my life. I love her to pieces. She's officially a snow shoe snow bird. Merry Christmas

12/12/17 As I post this update, Marbles is sitting in my lap. She remains the most loving attentive kitty ever. She is with me always. I rescued a semi feral kitty during hurricane Irma in Sept. Marbles and he aren’t best friends but she has been an angel in allowing him to invade her home and take some of my attention. I’ve posted a picture of her asleep in my arms and one of her over the Thanksgiving holiday. I had to drag her cat tree into the kitchen so she could supervise the meal prep. Happy holidays to everyone and every kitty from Siamese Rescue

POCKET
Outgoing, friendly, and VERY busy!!! Mr. Purrsonality has just arrived. He will need a feline friend to keep me company. Active, social, wonderful kitty!

Check out my video!

Notes from Home
Pocket is doing great. Everyone who meets him falls in love with him. He did fabulously last week at his first vet visit here. Better than his scaredy dog who went with him. This past weekend we dog sat our parents Westie and they were fast friends. True bff at first sight. Pocket was happy to have someone closer to his size (6lbs+ now). Shared beds and ate together. Pocket tried to steal kibble from the Westie. The dog was willing to give all. He was re-directed to kitten food.

Pocket I has been a seamless addition to the family. He is in constant motion but loves s good cuddle and always sleeps in bed with someone. He is up to 6 lbs and very talkative when hungry or wanting pets. We love him!

Pocket continues to be a joy. He is very laid back. And play time with Plox is entertainment for all. He not only gives kisses to othe fur in the house, but humans too. It’s odd but fun when he licks human nostrils to wake them.

PORSCHE
Greetings from number two biscuit maker, Iris!! If you haven't taken the time to look at our gallery pictures, you need to see Daisy and me with our very special "biscuit making" feet. We have SOOOOO many toes that Mama Katie loses count when she tries to trim all of them. Between Daisy and I, we could fill your house with tons of biscuits (and love) in NO time. We are SUCH sweet girls and love people, too. We are a little shy at first, but let us get started and there are more biscuits than you can count in just a jiffy. And, talk about beautiful - oh, my. We are both blue lynx snowshoes. Daisy and I would love to go to our forever home together. We came from a house that had LOTS and LOTS of cats, and we need to keep each other company. Be sure to ask about me, - Iris - biscuit maker #2.

Hi Everyone,
Unfortunately, I have a sad update this time. This past Saturday, Porsche was diagnosed with basal cell cancer. We've started her on steroids and pepcid ac for her stomach and plan to keep her as happy and comfortable for as long as we can. She's responding well and is still active and eating as normal. We hope the steroids will allow us to have her longer.

BOGEY
Wow, still hanging out in this place. Figured for sure we'd have new digs by now! Its not so bad here, and foster dad is great, but he says we can't live here forever. Can't say that I'd want to anyway! Too much noise around here for me! Sis is doing better at dealing, but I'm still not comfortable with all this commotion. I do love to play with Kia, and we sleep together most of the time. I don't even mind people for the most part, I'll hang out with you all, but I'm not a lap kitty. I do like to have my space, but I'm very curious about what you're doing, and I love to play with toys with you people types.

Sis made me take new pictures, and a movie. Have a look!

Do you have a big heart and room for two sweet little seals (who are just a little bit shy)?

Waiting,
Kona

Notes from Home
It has been 6 months since we adopted Bogey and Bacall. They are doing great. They are very affectionate, purr a lot, and they want to be close to us (except when sleeping although one sleeps on the bed with us at night).

Bogey (the male has became the Alpha cat and he initiates the chases through the house and the rough house play with Bacall. They tend to leave Woodie alone and Woodie leaves them alone except for an occaional mutual sniffing.

Bogey likes to be held for short periods and will occasionally sit for a short time in our laps. Bacall can be held for only very short times but she likes to be very close. She sits on my desk while I work on the computer and constantly wants petting or she rubs her head against my head.

They each have their favorite ball - one is sponge and the other is plastic with a bell. They have both learned to fetch their ball. They will chase it down a 40 foot porch, bring it back and drop it our feet ready for another chase. With the hot weather the game (and exercise) doesn't last very long.

Bacall has always been healthy with no problems.

Bogey has had occasional loose stools with even more occasional drops of blood at the end of the bowel movement. After many veterinary visits giardia was identified in his stool and he received a course of antibiotics. He was good about taking the pills after we wrapped him in a towel to restrain him. He also may have irritable bowel syndrome so he is being fed a special bland food (Royal Canin Intestinal HE) obtained from the veterinarian. Since the antibiotics and change of food, we have not seen any blood but his stools are still occasionally unformed. He has also had an infection in his right ear that was treated and cured but he still has a build up of wax in the right ear. We clean it out when needed.

They tolerate toe nail trims very well even Bacall who doesn't like to be held.

I'll post some pictures of them in the bathroom sinks where they like to sleep and catch drips of water. Luckily we have several bathrooms and enough sinks for us to share with them.

December 7, 2017
It is now 8 years since we adopted Bogey (formerly Kona) and Bacall (formerly Kia). they are 8 years and 4 months old and are doing great. Both are healthy and affectionate. Bogey weighs about 14 pounds. He is a big guy with lots of muscle. He licks to be picked up and held. He has become a lap cat when we watch television. He plays fetch with a shoelace for about 30 minutes before he gets tired and has to rest. Bacall is about 12 pounds. She doesn't like to be held for very long but is very affectionate. Bacall has kidney problems so is on a special diet of Hill's Prescription Diet K/D.

KARRA MIA
I'm Thankful for the Siamese Cat Rescue Center for taking me into their program. I'm thankful to the person who transported me here to my foster home, and I'm very thankful to my foster family! I've been behaving myself with the other cats here up to a point and have several laps to choose from. I LOVE to cuddle and I'm getting lots of hugs.

If you want a cuddle-cat, I am your girl! I absolutely love being picked up and hugged. If you want a lap-warmer while your working on your computer, inquire about me! After all, it is getting colder outside, and I can keep you nice and toastie!

Its Cora's (Karma Mia) Here we are, our seven year anniversary and am so glad to have my forever home . I continue to bless my grandpa as his constant companion (he is 88) I have been told that I have been instrumental in keeping him healthy. Mom noted that I follow him around with a watchful eye. What a great match, so glad mom stuck with your program (seemed like so many questions and hoops to jump through).
Thank you so much for your dedication and time in matching us up.

ODIN
My name is Oisin - say it Osh-een. I am a bit fluffy and want to go home with my sister Perth.

Notes from Home
Odin has adjusted well too--in fact, right before I wrote this, he was demanding attention and purring up a storm! He gets along wonderfully with his sister and is learning to get along with Finn, who is starting to play with them (although we have to separate them when Finn gets too rough--I don't think he knows his own strength).

Odin is growing as well and he's getting flufflier than his sister. However, he's also been popping in the shower or bathtub on occasion...the vet said that she didn't see anything wrong with him and he'll likely outgrow it. We'll see. Otherwise, he's been adjusting well and getting along with Finn too.

Odin had roundworm, so we had to give all the cats medicine. Everything's been better since they finished the medicine, thank goodness.

Odin has settled down more as well. He's getting fluffier and fluffier (I call him Mr. Fluffy sometimes), and he too will sit on a lap at times. Still very active, but not quite as mischievous as his sister.
