Snowshoe kitties are known for their playfullness, and I live up to that reputation. I haven't decided if I like the other kitties yet, but I'll let you know as soon as I make up my mind. Girls are allowed to take their time. tee hee

I'm looking for a forever home and should be ready to go by Sept 18th. Ask about me if you want to get on my list.

Cocoa (previously known as Erika) literally had a zero adjustment period. She slept on my shoulder cuddled into my neck on her first night home. She has the run of the house and its incredible to watch her discover new things. She is constantly amazed at what she sees looking out the window from her perch. My daughter and I are completely in love with her. She had a wonderful first visit to vet - everyone in the office fell in love with her. She went into the baby scale as soon as the doctor said - now I'm going to weight you. Very intelligent kitten. Then she proceeded to sit in the vet's lap. very sweet, lovable, and playful. We are all so happy!

Update: Cocoa continues to be a delight! She is a sweet, funny, and playful baby. She just jumped up on the computer keyboard when she saw her pictures to help with this update. She loves people and her food (both cat and people food). We are truly fortunate to have her as part of our family and we think she feels the same!

Update: New pictures from Cocoa's 1st Birthday party!

Coconut Chanel (for the glorious and always fashionably correct Coco Chanel) Juniper (for her eyes as blue as juniper berries) Meringue (granddaughter Katherine's description of her incredibly beautiful fur coat) - nickname Cocoa - continues to amaze us and further entrench herself into our hearts and enrich our souls. We cannot imagine living our lives as fully without her. Not only has she won the hearts of our extended family who visit our home frequently, as well as our friends and neighbors, but she has managed to convert the occasional diehard "dog person" (notably my daughter-in-law) who has had the pleasure to meet her into a "cat person". She is sweet, charming, gorgeous, smart, personable, intuitive, playful (loves to push objects from tables and counters when not getting what she considers the proper amount of attention) and a great athlete as well. I remain eternally grateful to the Siamese Cat Rescue Center for allowing us to welcome Cocoa into our home, and to that good Samaritan who rescued her from the side of the road in Virginia!!

Notes from Home
Hi, Murphy is home for 1 week today and is the cutest terror kittenzilla I have ever loved. After 7 days he is learning the word "no", not happily and with much under his breath grumbling about the unfairness of it all. He also has the most interesting post poop run. I've not seen it done with quite this much "flying" through the air like superman with paws stretched full out. All thats missing is a cape. Till next time. Happy tails!!!!

After 2 weeks Murphy has grown a lot. He's getting fluffier and chubbier. Every day he manages to slip, slide, roll, run and fall off the bed while playing lol. He is learning manners, reluctantly.

Murphy is definitely feeling quite at home now. He thinks he pays the rent and doesn't hesitate to take whateveriberties he thinks he deserves. For example, I turned my head for less than 1minute and when I turned back all I saw sticking out of the bottom refridgerater shelf was a fat fluffy kitten tail. Yep, baaaad to the bone this one, butove every minute.

Murphy is getting so big, but he's still a little thing compared to his sister. He's learned manners, now its a matter of getting him to use them!! Daisy simply refuses to play with him when he gets carried away and then he wanders around crying like the baby he still is. She will ignore him, so he comes crying to me and I feel bad. Second fiddle or not I play with him while Daisy shakes her head in disgust at my weakness. But really, how can I resist? Murphy Spoiled? Nahhh.

I know I just posted something, but this was too ridiculous to pass up. One of those "wish I had a video" monents. Murphy, oh so gracelessly fell out of my huge triple window, tumbling through the curtai on his head, crashed into and knicked over a lamp and bounced off the table onto the chair where he stood looking like "huh?!!" I looked at him and said "I can't believe you did that". He looked back as if to say 'niether do I'

6 months later 3/21/14 Murphy is huge lol, you would not recognize this chubby fluff monster. He still thinks he weighs nothing and is a tiny thing because every morning he climbs on my chest to purr and be kissed. Can we say mommy's boy? He is such a sweet sweet boy. Talks all the time, to me, his sister (who usually pretends to ignore him) and to himself.
The wand toy is still his fave and must play with it every day or he goes in a corner to cry woe is me. Recently he discovered water sports by way of tossing his toy mouse in the water dish to watch it float (see attached pic). Every day he makes me laugh, annoys his sister, talks to anyone or anything outside the window and is absolutely adorable. As mischievous as he is he isn't bad at all. He doesn't get into trouble, just playful. Daisy pretends not to be interested but loooooooooves playing with him and bossing him around.
I'm so happy with him and so is Daisy.
I've attached a bunch of pics, including an embarrassing one where he stuck his head in the tissue box!
Thanks to all of you for my love of a cat!

Hi, its 5/16/16 and Chubbs and Daisy are now living the high life in Las Vegas. We have a huge apartment and get to run, run run! The tile floors are a bit slippery so chubbs' tush slides 1 way as his front runs the other and he merps along whenever he runs. He is such a lovebug and so so sweet. Still plays like a baby even though he's almost 3.

Its our 3 yr anniversary and Chubbs is doing great. He's a champion red dot hunter and is such a sweet boy. He's a joy and makes me smile every day.

Let me tell you a little about myself:

- I'm very intelligent and since I believe I'm much more intelligent than the average human, I also insist on doing things my way.

- I'm very independent. That means that I'm not a clingy or needy cat. Don't get me wrong, I love attention, can be very affectionate - even possessive of my human, and I do enjoy laps - but on my own terms and timing.

- Because I'm so intelligent, I also have a very strong purrsonality which can be a bit overwhelming at times. I've heard Foster Meowm use the word 'tortitude' to describe me quite a bit. Hey, I just know what I want, when I want.

So what do I need in an adopter ? Well mainly they'll need to be very confident, experienced and cat-savy, Someone who will appreciate all the qualities that make me what I am . I know the right adopter is out there somewhere, is it you ?

This cat is not suitable for children under the age of 5 (ie 5 and over is OK). This is typically a cat that is shy and a child might scare it, or one that has a potential to bite or play too hardNot with kids under 5
This cat will not tolerate any other cats in the home. A dog may still be a possibility though.Must be Only Cat

Notes from Home
Charmee met Dr. McCann yesterday. He and the ladies were very impressed by how pretty she is and how well-behaved.
Charmee loves chasing the cat faeries up and down the hall and seems to enjoy the noisy toys better than the quiet ones.
She's slept with me every night since she came home.
I love this cat and could not be happier to have her in my life. She makes me laugh every day and what a blessing that is.

Mom says I'm the best cat ever. Well, of course I am, but I'm glad she realizes it. She says I've helped her through some hard times lately and that's a good thing.
I love noisy toys, but Mom doesn't seem to understand that everything is a cat toy. I'm trying to train her, but you know how humans are.
I'm very glad that I picked this human to take me home.
There is no way to explain how much Charmee means to me. She's been a delight from day one. If this is "tortitude," it's the best! When I came home from my last visit with Mom, Charmee curled up on my shoulder, put her head on my cheek and purred me to sleep. She always seems to know when I need that extra snuggling.
She's snoopervised the plumber and the dry wall guy and my neighbor, who's a dog person, told me that she'd get a cat, if she could get one just like Charmee. Well, she can't, because she's all mine!

She's slept with me every night since she arrived. Sometimes at the foot of the bed and sometimes right beside me purring and purring. Just knowing that she's here brings me joy.

I could not be happier.

It's Charmee's Gotcha Day 2014 and it's a definite celebration. She continues to "save" me by just being herself. She makes me laugh every day. I took a picture of her this morning which I'll post, so you can see that she's still a beauty.

2015. Another wonderful year with my Charmee. She continues to delight me and every one she meets.
She strolled right in to the carrier for her annual physical and I've never had a cat do that before. Of course, she was happier to get out when we got back home!

As you can see from her new picture, she enjoys keeping up with all the latest happenings via the daily newspaper.

Charmee and I are definitely a "bonded pair" and I couldn't be happier about that.

2016. Three years. Sometimes it seems like forever and sometimes like it's only been a minute. Charmee is a joy and I couldn't be happier that she came home with me.
She even lets me trim her claws!

Outgoing, happy, playful and curious ! Dogs ok, cats ok, does try to be bossy. Loves her cuddles, when she isn't too busy exploring .
Notes from Home
We LOVE Crystal.... She has been alert, sweet, friendly, and loveable from the minute she entered our home. We did isolate her for a little over a week - playing musical rooms with her and Caesar. I had 2 bedrooms equipped with litter and food which allowed me to let Crystal explore the house while Ceasar was sleeping in another room. He knew (could smell) she was here but couldn't see her. Crystal was fine but I did notice a change in Caesar's personality - he is "on guard" and not his sweet self. He is definitely mad at me - does not enjoy lap time like he used to. I sure hope this goes back to normal.....

We've had all the doors open for several days now and they can see each other. Caesar did charge Crystal the 1st day or so and Crystal growled and ran for cover, but she did turn around and stand her ground. Encounters are getting better - they both look for the other and get close, but no real acceptance yet. Crystal does growl at Caesar when he gets close. It's getting better, but I need my old Caesar back cause he's really ticked at me - still.

Other than dealing with Caesar, Crystal is absolutely wonderful. She cuddles and talks and plays and is sooooo beautiful and sweet! Ron loves her too and I have some great pictures of the two of them.

Personality - I have never had a cat that is so------ food crazed... Crystal surely loves her food - but it is really funny to watch how intense she gets when the can is opened. Caesar always eats well but I can open a can of food for him and sometimes have to actually pick him up and put him in front of the dish. What a difference!

10-9-14: Crystal is such a beauty and has the best personality. We can't imagine life without her now. April (dog) wags her tail when she sees Crystal and they sleep together (with me). Caesar is being more difficult. We played musical rooms for a while but now both cats have the run of the house. Caesar has charged at Crystal a few times and does hiss at her - and Crystal hisses back. However, this is happening less and less. Sometimes they end up close together and are OK but sometimes they still hiss. I think Crystal would be OK with Caesar if he would lighten up a little. He's getting there as they are close when they eat and other odd times of the day. Caesar sleeps at the foot of my bed (as usual) with the dog and Crystal sneaks up and across me to sleep on the other side. She's so cute!

Caesar is still REALLY mad at me and sometimes just stares at me and hisses - something he's NEVER EVER done. This too is getting less and less, but it makes me sad as he and I were so close. I still have 2 litter boxes but they are sharing and I am about ready to change to only 1.

All of the above does not bother Crystal at all - she is a perfectly happy girl who loves to play, sleep and cuddle, although eating is her very favorite thing. I have scheduled her appointment with my vet for next week but all in all - Crystal is wonderful - and very happy.

10-14-14: Took Crystal to the Vet today as promised. She now weighs 5.5lbs and my vet says she is healthy and happy. They tried to scan her chip, but apparently their device doesn't recognize the chip. Wondering if you've had this issue before?. Crystal follows me everywhere. She cuddles but plays hard when active - it's so cute... Caesar is putting up with her now but prefers to leave if she comes around - although I do feed them together and have uploaded a picture of this.. Ron is loving her - she is just so cute and alert. Still is food obsessed - not sure that will ever change - maybe because of her tough beginnings. All is good in our world...

3-6-2015: Crystal is amazing. She is always watching to see what we are going to do next - has to be right there with us. Not a fan of lap sitting, but lays down so close to us and heat butts and purrs and begs for attention - on her terms :-) Chrystal's colors are changing every day = she is just beautiful. She makes a striking contract to Caesar, my wedgie chocolate boy. Caesar and Crystal are now playing - chasing each other around the house like 2 siblings. I give Crystal all the credit for this as she wouldn't let Caesar intimidate her with his hissing. She just kept messing with him till he finally gave up and figured she was here to stay. Crystal is teaching Caesar how to play (like a cat) and I think he is beginning to enjoy it. It did take about 6 months to get to this point. It's kind of funny as Caesar is a purebred Siamese (long and slim) weighing only 7 lbs. Crystal is gaining weight and muscle, and when she wrestles him down to the floor, he is "really" pinned down. Then he tries to do the same to her but doesn't have the same weight behind him. All in all, Ron and Caesar and I are thoroughly enjoying this special girl.

9-20-16: Just received the email indicating that Crystal has been with us for 2 years. What an amazing cat she has become! She and Caesar have come to terms and they even sometimes play. Crystal and Caesar can be seen sharing their food and often chase each other around the house and up and down the cat tree. Crystal also gets along with our dog, Aprill. Although Crystal has not become a lap cat, she always likes to be near us and sleeps right beside me every night (along with Caesar and April). She is sooooo beautiful and everyone who meets her comments on how gorgeous she is. Ron and I have totally enjoyed our 2 years with Crystal and hope to have many, many more years of her companionship. As for Crystal, she is in charge of her world and has become a beautiful, smart, and integral part of our family. She has adopted us.....

My name is Claudia. I lost my Mommy because she had to go live in a nursing home and I couldn't go with her. I am a talker. I am very sweet but a little sad over losing my mommy. Anyone else see the heart on my nose? It means I am so full love it spilled over....

p.s. In some of pictures my ears are laid back a little making me look like a gremlin. I just have itchy ears right now and they bother me a little. But I am getting meds for them so they won't be itchy for long!

3/29/15 Claudia has been home for a week now. She is such a sweet cat. She is still a little skittish. She absolutely loves to be petted. We are getting elevator butt and lots of purrs. She loves her wet food. She has now decided that sleeping on the bed is great. We love our new little girl.
4/22/15 Rosie has been here a month today. She is doing very very well. We now leave the bedroom door open all day and she ventured downstairs last night. She is eating well and we still keep her in the master bedroom at night to be sure she gets her wet food which she loves. She is a sweet little thing and loves to be petted.
8/11/15 Rosie is doing fantastic. She has made herself right at home here. Loves sleeping on the bed with us. She also needs her petting. She really likes my old guy Rocky (gray tabby). She can be seen sometimes just running around for no reason. Plays with her toys when the notion suits her. She is a sweet gentle little cat who is thriving in her new home. Yes we do love her and she is HOME!!!!!!
3/22/16 One year with this wonderful sweet girl. She is in renal failure but so far doing ok with it. She is such a good girl taking her meds and fluids. We love her so much. She has become a lap sitter and seems to enjoy her petting. Just such a sweet sweet snowshoe girl.
9?22/15 6 months already Wow. Rosie is a great girl. Super sweet and gentle. Love love loves to be petted. If you forget she will tell you all about it! She has made herself right at home. She comes downstairs quite a bit now just to see what's going on. She likes looking out the window or the sliding glass door. She is such a cutie! Yep she is HOME and she knows it.
3/30/16 Its with great sadness that we lost Rosie today. We will miss her. She was the sweetest little girl. Tears.

I'm a pretty lynxie girl found as a stray. So far I'm not bothered by too much. Once I have the chance to tell foster mom some more about me, she'll write more!

We have feel in love with Nowell aka Chardonnay. It's a breath of fresh air to have a five (5) year old feline in the house who loves her toys.

Her 15 year old sister tries to put her in her place for love & affection. Nowell holds her ground and is equally a contender for Mom & Dad's pets.

We could not image live without our Nowell.

I SO want to be someone's best buddy. I just follow you everywhere with my eyes, mind meld type eye contact, ,but am unsure. Possible abuse in my background as I'm suspicious around my back end, but you can see the golden goodness in my eyes. You just have to make me believe, which won't be hard to do, if you don't push me, and I'll be your soulmate. Quiet home, would like someone who wants to bond tightly please.

Notes from Home
What a wonderful boy Tayo is! Beautiful manners, great litter box habits, nice cuddler in bed, loves to be wherever I am. I could not have asked for a better match (many, many thanks, Kathi!). He had his teeth cleaned recently and 3 removed that were decayed. Afterwards he was so much friskier and finally interested in playing. I think those bad ones must really have been bothering him.
Tayo and I are doing great! He is such a lovely boy and a wonderful
companion. He turned out to have severe arthritis in one of his shoulders,
which flared up during the cold of this past winter. He is now on
twice-daily doses of a joint supplement and a thrice weekly pain reliever,
and appears to be feeling much happier for it. His only naughty tendency is
his continuing inclination to nip when he gets over-stimulated. However, the
frequency of this is gradually decreasing, the nips are often gentler and
sometimes now followed by a lick, and I can tell from the look in his eyes
that he understands he's not supposed to be doing this and is trying hard to
restrain himself. He's not much for playing, though we do so every evening.
He loves to be around people and has been very attentive and polite to
company when they come. He sleeps under the covers with me every night,
although he is not quite the early riser that I am, and I must coax him out
of bed each morning with head kisses, which he adores.

Thank you again for helping my find such a dear Meezer boy!
Tayo and I are doing wonderfully. His understanding of English is now quite
good (I don't think it was his first language) and his tendency to nip
continues to diminish. As he settled in here, he has revealed a rather
sophisticated sense of humor.
He just recently had a checkup with his vet, vaccinations, and blood work
(which the vet said looked beautiful).
He is curled up on my lap as I write this. What a great little companion he

Sadly, my dear sweet Tayo suffered a mild stroke about two weeks back. I rushed him to the vet, who could find no residual effects and nothing currently wrong with him, but the vet did say that it would eventually happen again and there was nothing they could do to prevent it. At the beginning of the summer, Tayo's blood work also revealed an elevated ALT level, although there had been (and continues to be) no changes in his eating/drinking/peeing/pooping habits and a follow-up liver function test showed that his liver function was perfect. A subsequent blood panel a month later showed a significant decrease in his ALT, although it was still not back within the normal range and we will do another blood test in 90 days as per the vet's recommendation. In the meantime, Tayo continues to be a wonderful companion. After two and a half years of gently running a wand from head to tail down his back, he now LOVES to have his entire back rubbed by hand. He still is not accepting of a tummy rub, but he will allow me to rest my hand gently on this stomach for a few seconds - something I could never do before without getting nipped smartly. It makes me want to cry when I think what must have happened to him in some previous home to make him so nervous about being petted like this. He is cuddled here on my lap purring his heart out as I type this, and I hope and pray I will have him with me for a long, long time to come.

Oh my heart be still! Talk about a lovely Siamese Fluffinator Ragdoll mix of a loving guy, that's me!
Notes from Home

Gunner arived in a blaze of soft ragdoll fur, bright blue eyes and an unending purr after a long 10-hour journey from Va.Ctr. to Westford, Mass. on Sat. April 8th. He has found a spot in our hearts with his sincere and loving personality and sweetness and quite the Siamese vocabulary. After some initial setbacks, we are adjusting to this big, handsome guy and enjoying his non-stop purr. He has reminded us of the joy of rescue and the importance of patience and love in building a true furry family.

Thank you to each and every transporter, Siri and all the folks that helped this guy along his journey last month .We are sure Gunner will be the most awesome kitty as we continue to nourish his wonderful nature. Finally, thanks to Nancy Bontempo and Kathi Meenehan for their time and sincere help.

With love from Gunner, Jasmine and Summit.

Karen and Doug Waybright

Gunner has been with us now for eight weeks. We have progressed into a wonderful household member and is a complete joy to watch. He seems to love his furry friend Summit the most and follows her every action without being overbearing. It is hard to imagine how close these two are but they sleep together throughout the day and evenings. I separate them briefly for meals as she shouldn't eat his high protein diet at 15y.o. but he lays quietly in the same room and watches her eat. Besides their diet differences, he adores her and needs her based on his cry when she isn't in sight. She seems to be feeling the same which is especially nice for him.

I love this furball ragdoll guy more than I ever thought possible. Thanks again all for all your support and encouragement during the initial stages. Those days are so gone!!

Karen and Doug

12October 2014

Our fluffy raggdoll is completely at home with our family (Summit our 15 year old scrc snowshoe seal point and Jasmine our 13.5 year old lab/shepherd) after 6 months in our home and traveling to our summer home in Maine. At 12lbs he is not a lap cat, but is a sweet, chatty, night owl. He adores Summit as both a companion and mother figure, and they are often found together throught the day sleeping and playing (not too close mind you). Gunner drops and rolls without warning, so one must be aware of this furball in front of you!

We also send our heartfelt best wishes to Cami, who came into rescue with Gunner (Buddah) in March 2014. She was obviously a great influence on our special boy and his need to reach out to Summit, providing her a second life.

Best wishes also to all the scrc volunteers who provide selfless hours to make this organizaion so wonderful and helpful.

Happy 1 year Anniversary in our Home Sweet Gunner!

Gunner is very sweet, at times talkative and always loving. He has found his special places in our home and in our hearts. It was a turning point this past weekend when he returned from the groomer all brushed out and fluffy and was clearly "home" in his mind. It was a "wow", I am back again and boy, I love you guys. And yes, "we love you too Big Guy," you are not going anywhere else!!

Our daily lives are enriched by his sometime antics on the steps dropping toys, his loving nature with his big sister Summit and the look of love in his crystal blue eyes when he is spoken to sweetly. He is very comfortable with Jasmine, our 14 yearold lab/shepherd. Although too big to hold at 12.5 pounds, he rolls and purrs and purrs One favorite spot is rolling by his meow- mom by the computer and by her side during her nighly bedtime preparation, a long wait for a night time treat for this night owl kitty!

Gunner is so loved and we cherish this sweet guy in so many furever ways!.

Karen and Doug Waybright, Jasmine and Summy

September 2016

Our fluffy ragdoll guy is doing very well in our travels to our home in Maine from Massachusetts. He and our geezer Summit love each other's companionship. It is especially nice to watch him next to her sweetly while she eats. For a young guy he shows great resolve and love. For the most part they are fairly independent souls but can be found together most mornings in front of our living room slider in the sun or watching wild life.

We now seem to be successful with the hairball issues that have plagued Gunner for some time with the use of daily salmon paw gel, I highly recommend Nutrivet paw gel should your fluffball experience vomiting or stoll next to the litter box. It has made our lives so much better and his digestive system so much healthier. YEA!!

It is wonderful to watch him become the sweet verbal guy which he so wants to be, Just watch out for the flop in front of you - anywhere!

Love you sweets!

Karen, Doug and Summy

OK, fess up - have you been spending all your time asking about those young things??? Well, listen up - Foster Mom says I'm only middle aged. I don't much like that description, but it means that us Meezers can live a really long time. And that means I'm sticking around for many years if I can help it!

So here's a little bit about me. I'm sort of shy with new situations and new people, but once I decide you're OK, I'm all loving. Please rub my belly, would you? And bring that catnip over here - it makes me veeeery happy.

If you have a quiet home and would like a bed buddy or a computer buddy, then ask about me! Foster Mom thinks maybe a calm dog or a cat who would let me do my own thing would be OK. Or I'd be great as your one and only.

I talk in soft little meows. And I purr, purr, purr once you get me going! I just had all my teeth cleaned, too. So ask about me, and Foster Mom will tell you all about how great I am!

Notes from Home
April 2010

Summit has made great strides in her time in her forever home the past two weeks. Her foster mom Rinn prepared her well in accepting other animals and building her confidence. She is very sweet and enjoys sleeping with me and is slowly moving beyond her "safe" room to explore the rest of our home. Her friend Chaz (our other adopted snowshoe)) is working hard on her acceptance, and Jasmine (our woofer) gets 5 stars for good behavior. We easily coexist without any added strife or confusion.

All of Summut's tests have been good and she is eatting heartedly whatever food is presented to her. Both of the cats happily share their meals and seem to be enjoying the others companionship.

Thank you Rinn and Siamese Rescue for a wonderful beginning. It was nice meeting you Rinn and I 'm sure Summit felf safe with you on her long journey north to Connecticut.

Best regards and love from Summit,

May 2010

Summit continues to blossom in our home these past 6 weeks. She seeks out attention when she hears someone, but remains quite independent in her behavior. She has become more secure when approached and is really a love bug to those she likes. She is a huge snuggler to myself and my daughter when she is home from college and I have found it more comfortable to hold her. We are only too happy to help build her confidence and sense of self.

For such a little girl I wonder where all the food she consumes goes. She is slowly exploring the three floors of our home with much more interest and confidence. We hope she will be ready for our trip mid July to our home on the ocean with its big windows and we look forward to her being with us.

Her vet visit this month went very well and her chin acne is almost gone. Her weight is now 8 pounds and the vet reports she is a healthy sweetheart. She gets an A+ for litter habits and appetite and sweetness!

We will send photos soon. Love to Rinn,

Karen and Summit

Oct 2010

Summit has blossomed tremendously the past 2 months. Although she is still a bit hesitant of strangers, she no longer hides when a friend enters our home, and she is visible either in a chair, at the sliders, or on her post most of the day. She no longer ducks when reached for and my daughter is possessed to hold her and she just melts in her arms afterward. I must say she is a soft fluffy little bundle who acts younger than her described age of 10/11yrs. by previous owners. She is very alert and plays dramatically with her catnip toys, especially her banana toy, and spends most of her day intently watching the goings-on outside. Summit's appetite is very strong, and I wonder where all the food she consumes goes. She has accepted our other rescue (Chaz) and seems astonished she can walk past our dog (Jasmine) without fear. She is still a bed-bug that loves her safe room, but has become willing to share it with our household animals and friends and family. Summit has just discovered the bed sent to her from Siamese Rescue with complete awe, having eyed it for 6 months but fearful to be so exposed by sleeping in it on the floor. She now can spend the night in it if she chooses or bask in the sun in it during the day without fear. That picture is attached because it is so meaningful to me.
We are so pleased that Summy has progressed with such beauty, sweetness and energy. Thanks to everyone who played such a strong part in allowing this little girl to find her way, especially Rinn, her foster mom. We love our sweet pea, Karen

April 2012

Summit has lived happily and flourished in her forever home for two years now... how time flies. Our records show a 13+ age girl but that is hard to believe. Our fluffy girl progresses daily with her loving sweetness towards those she trusts whose circle continues to widen as she learns she is safe and loved. Summit's appetite is quite verocious, and her weight is now a stable 10 lbs., a perfect weight for her small frame. Her kidney values have remained stable with the daily addition of Azodol and her vet is very pleased with her health. She ventures out of her room with no antipation of danger and has found many favorite spots throughout our 3-floor home and is very alert throughout the day. Summit is a happpy member of our clan including Jasmine our 10 yr. lab/shep mix and Chaz our 12yr.earlier adoptee from SCRC who can now share the same bed and room on occassion. YEA!!
We love you Summy girl,
Ma & Pa and the other guys!

April 10, 2013

Our Summy girl is enjoying sharing the queen role with our 12-year old lab shepherd Jasmine. We lost our beloved Chaz suddenly last month and we all are struggling to adjust from that loss. I am able to give Summit more attention and she just loves our time together. She sleeps soundly next to me each night and is up early to check out the birds, squirrels and nature each morning. She has a great appetite and her weight is now a stable 10lbs. Summit continues on Azodyl 2x daily and her kidney values have been stable. She is much more accepting of strangers and our dog and any hissing is a rare event.

Summit is very beautiful and a great companion for me at home and next to the computer. We love you dearly Sunshine!

Summit is fairing very well in her 15th year of life. She loves to eat and has beome a snuggly and loving girl with her meowmom at night. The addition of her new younger SCRC friend Gunner has added a new dimension to her previous quiet and independednt life. Her friend is so insistant on her companionship that she now accepts his sweetness without much objection and the two are often together at least in the same room. My heart smiles when I find him on his back legs up, paws curled and she curled somewhere close by. Summit's medical exams and blood work have been excellent. Her right eye lens has fluxated and moves sometimes and she requires eye drops daily for glaucoma but these are easily done.. She continues on Azodyl twice daily for early kidney disase and her levels have been stable for three years since I have given her this probiotic. Summit still slips her tiny 9lb+ frame under the bed covers without disturbung anything around her for a daily nap each day!
It has been a total joy to love and care for her through these four plus years.

Stay well my Sunshine, we love you dearly.

Dear Sunshine,

HAPPY 5 - Year Anniversary in Your Forever Home!

We are so happy to update our snowshoe geezer's great health and eye reports in her 16th year. She is a very strong girl and her eye reports have gone from possible eye removal to two years of various eye drop treatments (one involving a very severe reaction), high ocular pressures and glaucoma to completion of eye drop therapy for glaucoma and uvelitis. Her records are a very proud moment for her Opthamologist, Dr. Clara Williams at Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital and us.
Summit continues her Azodyl twice daily treatment and low protein Royal Canin diet. She has a wonderful appetite and heartily looks for her next meal!
Gunner, our scrc ragdoll fluffer has been with us now for one year and brings a ray of daily sunlight to her life. The two spend mornings together in front of our living room sliders before daybreak (now there is sunshine in Boston!) and often play with their toys together in our upper foyer. Summit still loves her catnip and it can get her very happy!

We will be uploading current photos today. Please check out how terrific this gal looks for her age!

We love you Summy!! Stay well xoxo.

Dear Sweet Sunshine,

Happy 7th anniversary in our home Summy. You are a remarkable snowshoe at 17! We lost our sweet 15 year old lab/shepherd Jasmine this past December and life has really not been the same in our home without her You are simply amazing in your ability to become the girl of the household and you have increased your confidence and ability to be the girl of the house dramatically, It is wonderful to hear that Geezer voice which had been silent for so long!

You and Gunner are enjoying our home in Massachusetts and trips to Maine during the summer. You have adapted so well and we are so proud of our beautiful girl at 17 years old. We feel blessed to watch you develop into the sweet playful Geezer you were destined to be. Your diet of R.C.Renal and the Azodyl supplement seems to be working well for your kidney health and helping your health . We are proud to have cured your glaucoma, the first the opthamologist had seen! don't know what I would do without your early morning rubs in my bed!

Keep up the good work sweetheart. Our prayers are always with you Summy!

With our love always,

Mom, Dad and Gunner.

Foster Notes

Hi There! Just arrived on Match Meezer dot com & if you are looking for a dapper of a boy, look no further!!

More information will come as my Match Meezer dot com advisor gets to know what I'm seeking!

Notes from Home
It appears he is settling in nicely. See attached pictures.

8/8/16 - Akoni is doing great. He no longer limps except on very rare occasion. He gets along with everyone else in the house but is definitely the alpha of the household. He is not overtly alpha but is a gentleman about putting the younger cats in their place.

9/18/2016 - Akoni threw a blood clot this morning and lost all function in both back legs. His legs were cold with no pulse in them. He was in a lot of pain so we made the decision to let him go. This was very unexpected as he just had his annual physical 5 days ago. We will miss him terribly.
