LUCY
I am little overwhelmed right now. I lost my home because of a domestic violence situation. But I know my Mommy loved because she got me to safety before she got out. I want a nice safe home and someone to love me. (Partial scholarship from someone outside the transport area to help her get a home soon!)

Notes from Home
Lucy is the sweetest cat. It is amazing that after 2 years with us, we still see changes in her. She recently discovered her tail. What a hoot watching her try to catch it. Also before, if we walked by where she was sitting she would run away. Now she just sits and watches. We had a health issue with her back in April. Took her to the vets and she had a bladder infection. Meds took care of it quickly, but it really freaked us out. While we were at the Drs the vet told us she was getting too heavy and could become diabetic. We had been feeding her dried food as we had been told when we got her she would not eat wet. Food. Vet strongly suggested switching her to wet food. She loves it and it has taken a pound or two off of her. It has made her coat shine and feel so much silkier. She still runs and hides if strangers come over, but after a bit she comes out to investigate. I have one friend that she loves to have visit. She is so much better socially. She is doing great and we love her dearly.

DUFFY
Duffy was found on the streets as a stray cat wearing a collar. He came to Siamese Rescue looking like he just came off the streets. He has an upper respiratory infection, poor coat condition, needs to gain weight, and just isn't feeling all that great. His worries are over because he is now getting the royal treatment, including a warm bed, lots of love, and treatment for his ailments. Despite his time on the streets, this boy is as sweet and affectionate as they come. He is the ultimate lap cat! All he needs now is a forever lap to nap on. Click to ask about this sweet boy.

New pics and video coming soon.
Notes from Home
Kathy / Michelle,

Thank you for checking on Duffy. He is doing well 1 month in. He has a pretty blue collar with a bell now. He is such a speed demon, it helps us know where our white shadow is. Duffy has lots of nicknames - Duffaroo because he's a hopper, Duffster, The Duff, Doorway Duffy since he likes being in the action if we're between rooms. He's eating well and likes cheese. Will keep you posted. Karen & Norm

ALEXIS
Oh, here I am available for youuuu! I'm a sweet, petite tortie girl, and I have some torti-tude, so we think it would be best if I could be your only female. I'm still learning about this good life. One thing I do know is that when I decide I want to snuggle, I love it! There were people visiting foster mom this weekend, and I'm shy at first but then I show up for some loving. Oh, and I love to sleep on the bed with you (and other kitties and even the dog).

7/25/16-Alexis has adjusted wonderfully to our family. She loves to play with her toys, but also enjoys a good lap to lay in. She had a vet check-up on 7/22/16 and got a report of being a healthy girl. She loves both wet food and dry food and is not finicky at all. Overall, she is a dream addition to our family.

SAM-I-AM
Sam-I-Am. I am a sensitive, gentle soul who is quite the guy once I get to know you. I need a Siamese savvy adopter who understands the wedgie types like me. I have a lot to offer but I don't kiss on the first date, I am a slow romance with a huge paycheck.

Purrs,

Sam-I-Am
Notes from Home
i wrote the most glowing report on Sam but didn't send it correctly and lost it. So here's an idea of what was said:
Today is Sam's one year anniversary. I have had numerous cats (all Siamese) over the past 50+ years and only one other cat comes close to being as loving, sweet, and wonderful as Sam. He walks me to the door when I have to go out, he greets me at the door when I come home, he is constantly on my lap (even as I type this!), he sleeps next to me every night (often to my husband's chagrin!), and is a great companion to his fellow Siamese rescue, Jimmy the Weasel (and even Harley, our rescue black lab/ Great Dane mix). I can't go to the bathroom without Sam trying to sit in my lap or at least put his paw to my cheek. He is so special. Thank you Siamese Cat Rescue. Jennifer (his temporary foster) wasn't kidding: he is a very special cat. The love between us is immeasurable.

Betsy is doing great, in fact she has claimed alpha cat status over the other 2 cats which includes a 20 Lb plus male cat. She is a joy and wakes me up each morning with her purring. If that doesn't wake me, then a soft tap on the nose does. I saw a article recently that says if you own a cat then the first thing you see each morning is a cat who loves you. She waits by the door looking out the window watching for me to come home. Sometimes she jumps down quickly pretending that she wasn't watching for me but I know she was. She weighs about 8.5 pounds and loves Fancy Feast broths.

MANNY
Oh My GOSH. Really? Beautiful, sophisticated, needy, loving, adoring wedgie boy. And here I am returned to the Rescue. Someone's in for a real treat!!!

People are my favorite. I need a no smoking low stress home as I have a tendency towards asthma. Other than that, I'm good. Full work up done in advance of my going home so you'll know everything about me! Beautiful soft coat, very Siamese, very loving and affectionate, immediately well adjusted. And one crumpled ear (not seen in this picture) which gives me character. And I REALLY want some cat buddies. I LOVE other cats.

So, in summary: follow you everywhere, talk, love, and be very Siamese. That's ME! But yes, I am on the delicate side, so I need lots of personal catering and adoration!
Notes from Home
July 2016. Manny is riding out our heat wave sitting in front of the oscillating fan and sipping water with ice in his bowl. He loves to lick ice. He's also discovered whipped cream cheese.

He truly is the most adorable affectionate cat ever. Thanks so much for putting us together.

Brenda and Manny

Manny remains The Perfect Cat. He's so well-mannered, sweet, and loving that I'm happy to have him. He loves his head rubs and gets them at least 3 times/day. He is interested in knowing where I am, but doesn't stick like velcro now that he knows I'm not going to leave him.

During our 2-week winter freeze, Manny was happy to sit on the radiator and watch the snow pile up on the balcony. He's always on the look-out for cardinals who drop by every day.

Manny eats well, has meticulous litter box habits, and has decided he prefers ice in his water glass. He did a taste test - drinking from his solo cup w/o ice and mine w/ice and decided he prefers ice.
I think he's a little deaf, but other than that he is perfect.

Manny remains The Perfect Cat. He is adorable, curious, and loves to be by my side 24/7. He even sleeps deep under the covers with his paws wrapped around my ankles - like manacles!

He is so beautifully behaved. He seems used to going to the vet. He walks in the exam room, jumps up on the table, and awaits the doc. He sits up straight and listens so attentively that the vet starts talking to him instead of me. Even the vet remarked on his silky fur, excellent teeth, and beautiful manners.

Manny is very friendly. He greets everyone who comes to visit. We went on a weekend trip w/a friend and he was very happy and outgoing.

He's gained 2 lbs since his arrival, but that's well within his weight range. He eats on a schedule and always has a bedtime snack at 9.

The best thing is he seems happiest just being wherever I am. He is truly a lovable lap cat who does absolutely everything perfectly and never complains.

He is the perfect match for me!!!!
2/14/16
Manny is celebrating our 1st anniversary in style. He had 2 helpings of breakfast, drank his water with ice cubes (he LOVES ice cubes), and is now taking a bath sitting on the warm radiator on top of his two favorite blankets. He has a vet appointment this week.

Manny is The Perfect Cat and soooooooooooooo loving. He'll wake up from a nap and gaze up at me and he often sits next to me with his paw resting on my arm.

He follows me everywhere so it's hard to get a photo. If I get up to get the camera, he's up, too! (I don't have a camera on my phone.) I'll keep trying.
We can't thank you enough for Valentine's Day matchmaking between us.

Brenda and Manny

BERNADETTE ("BERNIE")
Hi! I'm Kathi!

My person died and the family dumped me at a shelter stating they didn't want me. Thankfully a lady meowmy works with was there and called meowmy right away. She came and got me and told me Siamese Cat rescue would take care of me and find me a forever home. So here I am.

The family who dumped me said I'm good with other cats, kids, and dogs, but meowmy will make sure of that before finding me a new home.

If you think you'd like to give a home to a slightly cross eyed gal like me, just ask about me and maybe I can be your new furkid!

Bernadette (AKA Bernie) has settled in nicely. She doesn't believe any door should be closed & enjoys exploring for new nap spots in the house. Likes to nap under dining room table, so we put a bed there for her. Photo attached of Bernie relaxing at nap time on her favorite fuzzy blanket-which matches her eyes!

PETEY
Shot at with bb's, achy an creaky, arthritic and puny, but oh so loving. I will be on cosequin and some pain management meds for whatever time I have left, but am hoping someone will love me, because I sure will love you.

I need a large bed (I'll bring it with me), a close by large litterbox, and my food and water. I can't move around much as my joints are no good in front elbows and back hocks, but I can sure purr up a storm, I use the box, and I eat like a champ. I have good bloodwork, so just need a little sunshine. There will be no jumping for me, no stairs, but that's okay, I would be forever happy if you had a small sunny place I could just hang out in.
Notes from Home
Petey is doing great! He has a great appetite and uses his litter box. He's a bit of a slob with his food and litter, but he's so sweet it's hard to be upset with him. And that voice! He is not shy about expressing his opinion. He is not afraid of people at all. We have had several visitors and he is content to be the center of attention and get lots of ear scratches and loving.
He and my other cat, Rosanna get along fine. Mostly they just ignore each other :-)
We had a visit with the vet on Monday and she fell in love with him, too.

Well Petey had a rough week, but he seems to be on the mend now. We still don't know what was wrong with him, bur he is eating again and has he voice back. I've been trying to give him fluids, which he hates, so one of us is mad and the other one is all scratched up. Oh well, I'm just trying to do what is best for the old man. :-)

Petey has gained back all of his lost weight and is doing great. He meows extremely loudly when he wants food or attention or just to remind me he is in the house.
He didn't get on the bed at all when he first arrived, he acted like he was scared to be there if I put him up there. Maybe his previous human didn't allow him on the furniture, but I keep encouraging him to sleep with me. He still isn't comfortable enough to stay more than a few minutes but I'm working on him. 11/4/15

Petey is so sweet! I just love him! He seems to be very happy here, loves to snuggle on the couch with me. He has a big appetite, eating several cans of cat food every day. He cracks me up when he gets a drink of water, he puts his paws on the edge of the fountain.
When he first came home, he would not get on the bed and acted fearful when I would put him up there. I think he was not allowed on the bed in his previous home. Anyway, I kept putting him up there and loving on him so he would know it was OK. Now he gets up there on his own and cuddles up next to me, it makes me happy to see him warm and comfortable. He and my other cat are not best buddies, but they do live peacefully together. 1/23/16
d Petey and I have had a wonderful first year. He is so unbelievable sweet! His heath is not the best, several illnesses at the same time, but the vet and I are taking good care of him. He is very vocal and isn't shy about telling me when he wants food or attention. He and my other cat have finally decided to be friends and I find them sleeping together on my quite often. 7/20/16

TIGGER
'm just a itsy bitsy ball of fluff, not even weighing one pound, but I've got a ton of purrsonality.
I already know how to feed myself and I use the litter box like a big girl! TOYS? I know what
to do with those! I even know what to do with a scratching pad!!

I have some major growing to do, so it will be awhile before I'm ready to go home. .

Stay tuned while foster mom gets to know me!

6/16/15

I'm not so itso bitso any more! I'm a whole 2.7 pounds of whirling, running, playing, leaping fluff.
I am losing some of that fluffy baby fur and am even prettier.

Notes from Home
8/6/15
Hello All. Here is yet another update from the home owned by Tips and Tigger and partially rented to that crazy cat woman (Big Mommy). Tigger has been unofficially renamed Tigger the Tiny Terror. Wait, you say, how could anyone so adorable be called Terror, Tiny or otherwise?
Well, let me enumerate how: stealing potpourri from the buffet; pulling towels off of towel bars in both bathrooms; stealing Big Mommy's bottles of smelly stuff from the vanity; smelling Tips a-double-scribble to make him swish his tail simply because it is so much fun to play with said tail; loosing countless toys that then Big Mommy and Little Mommy (Emily) have go searching for; grooming Big Mommy's head and eyebrows while she is sleeping. Well, the list could go on and on, but Big Mommy is beginning to get agitated trying to type it all.
Big Mommy calls little Tigger her "bad, bad, baddie boy." Then she looks at him, calls Little Mommy, they talk on the phone and then they laugh and laugh and laugh. And the next thing ya know, Little Mommy is back visiting the Two Ts. Tigger likes that.
One day when Big Mommy was sitting in the chair that the Two Ts have graciously allowed her, suddenly Tigger was spotted dragging his little a-double-scribble across the rug. "Oh my," thought Big Mommy, it's time to take that trip to the Vet she had been thinking of taking. She even said it out loud since Tips wasn't in the room and what does Tigger know, anyway. So Tigger went with Big Mommy, Little Mommy and big brother Tips to the Vet. Well, let me tell you. The next time Tigger will know "Vet" when he hears it, you betcha! It was a really scary place! Poor little Tigger had that same thing stuck up his you-know-what. Then he had other stuff done to him, including something about his poop! Big Mommy was told later that nothing was wrong with his poop. Of course there wasn't; how could anything be wrong with that stuff! And something else happened at that terrible Vet place that wasn't mentioned in Tips' report: both the brothers had a mani-pedi. Really. The guys had a mani-pedi. Ugh! Tips thinks that had something to do with Tigger's very early life as Thumbelina.
Little Mommy reports that Tigger is not such a good student. She has decided not to try any tricks except "Come." Tigger thinks that's a good idea--he he.
Tigger's September, 2015 Update:
TIGGER’S MISSION STATEMENT: PLAY EAT PLAY EAT PLAY EAT PLAY EAT PLAY EAT, etc.
He is just so silly. Here are two quick stories. 1) I just finished peeing, had my but half raised off the seat, when goof-ball jumped up. Being too little to see up over the top, he assumed (incorrectly, of course) that the seat had no hole in it. Well, three of four paws landed okay, but the fourth one was a pee-pee paw for sure. Boy did he run. I had to catch him to wash him off. 2) He often gets up on the sofa to dig between the cushions, as if the spot was a mousy hole. Once he got so enthused with this business of looking for a non-existent mouse in a non-mouse hole that he got himself turned upside down, back up against the back of the sofa, all four paws under his silly little chin, with his tail curled up over his belly. So, what does one do with a tail in that position? One plays with it, of course. Except he got so excited, he bit it, yelped, jumped down off the sofa and ran under it. (I hope you can picture him as I described. It was funny enough with him standing on his head, but when he bit his own tail and yelped, I just lost it.)
What can I say, Tigger is a baby, still.

1/28/16 Tigger's update: Well, Tiggie, as I mostly call him, is very much a baby, a kitten still. And a baddie boy kitten at that. This is the story of his latest escapade. It was 5:00AM, his and brother Tip's usual morning feeding time. I walked into the kitchen in my sleep socks and stepped on something hard and unusual. I ignored it long enough to walk over to the sink and turn on the overhead light. I turned around to see two things: the peacock feather I had just stepped on and Tiggie covered, head to toe, in peacock feathers. "Oh Tiggie, what did you do," I gasped. There he was, his whole little self except for his muzzle, ears and paws, covered in the small, light feathers that go down the shaft of peacock feathers. I knew at once that in the middle of the night he had knocked over the vase on the small table in front of the sliding glass doors in the living room. Baddie boy! I picked him up and groomed him as best I could at 5AM. Meanwhile, brother Tips was meowing for his breakfast. Oh boy, what a cat house I have! I finished pulling feathers off of Tiggie, fed the two kitties and then went to pick up the vase in the living room and the rest of the feathers off of the floor. I found feathers in the kitchen, foyer, living room, dining room, down the hallway, in the spare room (aka the princes room), the powder room--everywhere but in my bedroom. Of course not. Tiggie may be a kitten, but he's not stupid, just endlessly playful. Over the course of the next week or so, every now and then I would find more feathers on Tiggie, He had obviously hidden a stash of peacock feathers where only he could find them, and find them he did. Feather play continued for about another week, after which I finally didn't have to de-feather him anymore. What a cuttie-pie he is, my little kitten, Tigger. He's so cute you just have to forgive him. Besides, it's his job to play. How else will he learn about life.
UPDATE 7/21/16: Tigger is still our little baby boy: Baby Tiggy we call him, even though he's all growed up by now. He's as cute as cute can be and still very playful, unlike big brother Tippy Toes Tips, who feels it his continuous duty to demonstrate feline beauty and dignity. That not being Baby Tiggy's bag, as they say, Baby Tiggy is just silly always and that's it. Silly! We like him that way.
And one more thing, Baby Tiggy and big brother Tippy Toes Tips have a new sister, Tappy. You won't believe what she is: a D-O-G. You got that right, a D-O-G! At first Baby Tiggy was really, really a scaddy-cat, but not so much any more. That's mostly because Tappy is a rescue who is so traumatized that she won't come out of the Princes Room (spare bedroom) and prefers confinement behind a baby gate for her living quarters. But Big Mommy and Little Mommy are working at her rehabilitation and hope that someday soon she will want to come out of her room and joint the rest of the family in the whole house. In the meantime, Tiggy has decided that she's not so bad after all; he'll never be her best friend, but she'll be well tolerated, at least.
On another note, Baby Tiggy is up-to-date on all his shots and vet visits and continues to be ultra cute, cuddly and healthy. We like him that way, too!

TIPS
Because I'm happy
Clap along if you have a room that has a roof
Because I'm happy
Clap along if you can give me happiness that's the truth
Because I'm happy
Clap along if you know I'll bring happiness just to you
Because I'm happy
Clap along if you feel like that's what you wanna do

I'm sensitive, loving, needy, and would do well with an experienced owner who loves deep Siamese. (If you must have two, I'd do well with a kitten!) And I love men, just in case you are one :)
Notes from Home
For all those who helped me to adopt Tips (Pharrell), here is a little cat tale about him. It goes like this:
If a person has a cat and a cat tree in the same room, is it not right to expect that the cat climbs up the cat tree on his own to get to the nice soft cat perch while the person continues to sit in her chair? I'm just asking, because I know a cat (I won't mention any names) who thinks that while the person sits in her chair, the cat comes over to her, sits right next to her in front of her chair and stares at her and stares at her and stares at her, until finally she gets up, picks up the unnamed cat and puts him on the nice soft cat tree perch.
Like I say, I'm just asking.
New note for everyone:
My granddaughter, Emily, who is my adopter-in-tandum, has been to visit me everyday this past weekend. She usually only comes on Fridays. Of course, she isn't visiting me; she's visiting Tips. The two of them are becoming best buddies. Emmers has got it into her head that she will train Tips to come, sit and stay. And because Tips is so Siamesey and thinks he is a dog, he is responding really well. "Come" he responds to about 1/2 the time. "Stay" he is responsive to about a third of the time. On "sit" he had some work to do. But I will tell you that he would do none of this for me. I think it is because Emmers is down on the floor with him and I am up in my chair. He won't even play lazer tag with me, but with Emily, he loves it. They are wonderful together. When she is here he can't decide which one of us to follow around the house. What a good, beautiful kittums he is!
New Note on 8/6/15
Hello everyone. This is a report from the home owned by Tips and Tigger and partially rented to a crazy cat woman (Big Mommy) who is slowly being relegated to a small portion of the big bed in the back of the house and one chair in the living room. Admittedly, she sometimes tries to take up part of the sofa, too; but not to worry, the Two Ts are wise to her.
Tips reports that he recently acquired a little brother. Geesh! Tigger, he thinks the kid's name is. This kid is a pain in the a-double-scribble--literally. Every time Tips tries to take a cat nap, this ball of fluff comes over and sniffs you-know-where until poor Tips is forced to swish his tail. Then the little Terror plays with it!
On a separate front, when Tips' Little Mommy (Emily) comes over, Tips reports having a good time learning tricks. (Although, he requests that you do not repeat this "learning tricks" to anyone on account of his dignity being compromised.) Tips (for treats, of course), now reports that he does the following: "Comes," "Sits," "Lays Down," and "Gets your treat." Little Mommy is so proud.
Recently, Tips went with the aforementioned kid to see the Vet. Ugh! The creep stuck something up his a-double-scribble! The very idea of it! Talk about one losing one's dignity! The Vet reported to Big Mommy and Little Mommy that everything was just fine, except for some tartar on his teeth for which an additive has been put in his drinking water. And one final thing: because of that kid mentioned above, Tips poop (again, Ugh, the dignity thing, ya know), had to be examined, but everything turned out to be okay.
Big Mommy and Little Mommy love Tips very much, which of course Tips thinks is both necessary and expected.
TIPS' MISSION STATEMENT: EAT SLEEP EAT SLEEP EAT SLEEP EAT SLEEP EAT SLEEP, etc.
My Tips, what a kitty. He is almost completely weaned of his biting habit. It took constant gentle handling over all of the time I have had him. He still gives me that ears-back distrusting look sometimes, but he doesn’t follow through with the nip I used to get. I have a wonderful video of Emily and Tips showing the six tricks she has taught him. I will try to e-mail it directly to Nancy, since I cannot find a place here to upload it. I hope she will pass it on to everyone. It is quite amazing.
CORRECTION: I will try sending the video to Siri since I think she was the foster for Tips.
New Update, 12/22/15: Well, Tippy Toes Tips is well established in his forever home with Big Mommy (Janice) and Little Mommy (Emily). He has grown to be a super trusting boy with little or no biting (except maybe with strangers--with the emphasis on "maybe"). He has truly come a long way in the trust department. Tippy Toes Tips is so beautiful and he knows it. He loves his people and even loves his little brother, Tigger. They have a new game that Big Mommy calls Fast Mousey. First you play with the battery operated mousey with you little brother and you let him steal it from you. Then, on a very secret signal, both of you run as fast as you can through the house (forget the mousey at this point). When Fast Mousey is all over, Tips sits in one of his favorite spots and watches the little one continue to play and play and play. Did Tips mention that Tigger is a glutton for play. Everyone concerned, Big Mommy, Little Mommy, Tigger and Tips are doing so well together. The kittums love their new home and their new people. And boy-oh-boy do their people love their kittums!
New Update 8/21/16: Tippy Toe Tips is a well-established member of the household in Columbus, NJ. He is the much-loved senior member of the feline branch of the family. He is a beautiful and trusting member of the household, one who never bites or scratches at all any more. However, there is one new development in the house: a D-O-G! Egad, you read that right. A D-O-G! But not to worry. The dumb thing (Tip's take on her) is self-confined to the Princess Room (spare bedroom) where she is s-l-o-o-o-w-l-y learning to trust people. She came to us from rescue from where no one wanted to adopt her because she was so traumatized. She was a big worry to Tips (and Tiggy) when she first came to live in their house, but now Tips has decided that she is rather insignificant after all, self-confined and confined by a baby gate as she is. Big Mommy and Little Mommy love Tappy (that's her name) and are working continuously to rehabilitate her so that she will soon blend into the whole family and come to live happily with us in the whole, open house. In the meantime, Tips says, "Ahh, so, a dog. I got over it, ya-know-whad-I-mean?"
On another front, Tippy Toe Tips has been to the vet and is up-to-date on all his shots and exams. He's also been to the groomers several times for a mani-pedi, but mostly the mommies do them for him. And he continues to be a very handsome and healthy big brother to all other four-legged people in the household. If you asked him, he'd reluctantly admit that it's a love-fest here and we like it that way.
