CHLOE
Super fun, super chatty, super loving, super Siamese! I am very well adjusted and immediately explore everything, play with my toys, get on your lap, and purr away. I am curious and smart as expected, and like to be right next to you or on you as you go about your daily activities. Fine if you leave me alone during the day but do hurry home so we can make dinner together and enjoy the evening. Careful, tho, I'm so smart I can open doors, find my catnip, search out the treats and even dial the phone if I try! I graduated top of the class in friendliness and outgoingness, and of course won every beauty pageant there is :) Give me six months to settle in and if you wanted to add a younger easy going male boy later on, I might accept that as long as they remember who rules the roost!

Notes from Home
We received the one-year adoption reminder from the VA Siamese Rescue Center and thought you all would enjoy a recent photo of our beautiful little girl, Chloe. She is our spoiled darling who charms visitors to her home (except those darned grandchildren!) with her antics, friendliness, loud motor, and conversational skills. We, of course, smile and bask in all the compliments.

As for her behavior, she occasionally still bites me but now it's more of a warning to stop petting her rather than a desire to draw blood. I think giving her a daily spinal mini massage has helped to convey how much I love her. And after all ... declawed kitties can't stretch their little backs out as easily as kitties with claws. It gives us time to bond and, no kidding, she loves the massage down her spine and around her shoulder blades where we all carry tension. Of course, she's been Daddy's girl since day one. She still insists that the kitchen counters are part of her domain, but just the threat of the water gun is enough to get her down quickly and quietly. She does love "junk food" treats so we keep them to a minimum to maintain her kitty figure. At her recent visit to the vet, we were told that she's perfectly healthy aside from gaining one pound since adoption and having some gingivitis which has since been minimized by switching her to a dental care food.

I'm sure it's quite obvious that we adore Chloe and send you all our sincerest thanks, once again, for facilitating her adoption!
Just want to let everyone that Chloe is well and, after three years, is finally bonding with her mom. It's been slow. But over the last six months we've seen a huge difference in her demeanor toward me. She and I frequently have some pretty interesting conversations (better than with some humans!) and she seeks my lap for snuggling more than in the past. Silly though it may sound, I've noticed that when she's on my lap, if I look her in the eye and blink slowly that it calms her. Maybe it's kitty talk for, "let's be friends"? All this said, I am still very careful about her tendency to bite after nursing two infected bites.

She recently went to the vet who recommends having her teeth cleaned. She went to vet today for pre-cleaning blood work. Her weight is down from 12 lbs one year ago to 9.6 lbs today, which is about the same as her adoption weight. She's eating well, so the weight loss is most likely due to reduction in treats. Cleaning is next Tuesday.
She's becoming calmer around the grandchildren, but they're still not her favorite people. Her hissing early on set the stage for healthy respect from the kids which is not a bad thing!
Many, many thanks again to everyone involved in her rescue and adoption. She is our gorgeous, sweet diva who invariably makes us smile and makes our house a home. We love her dearly!
P.S. Photos are of Chloe in her favorite bed under a lamp and in her second favorite bed - a duffle bag.

Very best wishes,
Kay and Tom 6/8/14

LEILA
Hi there! I'm Leila.

I arrived here on Saturday, April 6th, and have been under the weather, but am all feel better now. I was lost for a long time until nice folks at a warehouse found me and took me for help. Then Siamese Rescue said "We'll take her and make her feel better and then find her a forever home." That was my lucky day!

I like the boy fosters here, but not the female, so a home without another female is best for me. I also just love the nice soft Millie bed meowmy gave me to sleep in.
I am all ready to go home to someone who wants a loving lap cat. Is that you? If so, please ask about me. My bags are packed and I'm just waiting on you!

Purrs,
Leila
Notes from Home
It's been a little over a week since Leila has been in her new home. She adapted EXTREMELY quick! She is just the sweetest little cat. She loves everybody and loves to be petted and LOVES to eat! She spends most of her days watching the birds, playing with her fish pole toy and getting lots of love. She has only cuddled in bed once and it didn't last very long - she is a busy body! I just love her to pieces!!!!!!

September: It's been about 3 months since I've become Leila's slave :) She is the silliest, sweetest, friendliest cat I've ever owned. I am so happy to have her. She loves to sit on the window sill and watch the world. Now that it is getting chilly out, she's been sleeping in bed with me. She wakes me up every morning with kisses and head butts. I just LOVE her!!!!!

December: 6 months of absolute joy!!!!! Leila is AWESOME!!!! She also has a new little brother Elliot the tiger. He loves her and she doesn't mind him most of the time. I even catch her playing with him and sometimes even cleaning him :) She is just a wonderful addition and I am so happy to have found her!!!!!

July 1: It's been a little over a year and Leila is doing amazing! She is still a chow hound and will eat ANYTHING that isn't put away in a cabinet! She will even eat bread! She loves laying in the window and in front of the slider, watching the birds at the feeder. She sleeps with her mama just about every night and wakes me up every morning. She is just the sweetest kitty in the world and I am so lucky she is mine :)

Three wonderful years with my baby girl!!! She is still doing amazingly well! She's definitely a mama'so girl. Her favorite position is on me! Lol! She still wakes me up with kisses and nibbles. She just had her yearly check up and no problems. I just love her :)

Notes from Home
Khaleesi is such a wonderful addition to our family. Once we got her home she came out of the crate purring, investigating, playing, and looking for pets. She wakes me up in the morning when my alarm goes off by head butting me and rubbing her face on mine... she likes to lick noses too. She follows us all over the house and wants to be the center of attention. She is such a great cat! So smart and playful. She carries a featherwand around the house with her. She will set it on the stairs and knock it down so she can chase it down the steps.
6/8/2016. It feels like Khaleesi has always been a part of my family at this point. She is very social and loves meeting and greeting new people. I just had surgery and she won't leave my side. It is like she is taking care of me and making sure I am ok. We love her so much.

Notes from Home
Jackson Keefe is doing great! He just got home from a nail clipping & is exhausted! Jax is looking forward to christmas and being well behaved with the tree and decorations! He continues to have an EXCELLENT appetite, at 11 pounds he's a big boy! His fur is no longer dry and sun bleached, it's nice & silky! He continues to have some allergy/congestion issues but I've been working with my vet to stay on top of it! He's become a genuine "mommys boy!" Sidney Francis continues to remind him she's the boss, and they still act like wild kittens chasing each other and having fun! He's a joy to have and I can't imagine not having him in my life!

Today is Jackson Keefe's 6th birthday! He has been an absolute joy since I adopted him 2.5 years ago! He's very loving, playful, and gentle. He has to have surgery next week to have a tooth removed. We are a bit anxious but hoping this will stop his pain!

Today I've had my baby boy, Jackson Keefe for 3 years! I cant imagine my life without him! He's sweet, loving, playful, goofy! Everything you want in a cat! He had surgery in March to remove 4 teeth! He did great and I think it cured a lot of the issues Jaxi was having! Best of all he's not in pain! I love him sooooo much! Again, thank you for saving my boys life and giving me the opportunity to give him a good life!

BOAZ
Hi! my name is Macchiato!

Foster Meowmy named me after her favorite beverage because I am white on the bottom and brown on the top. Although I am caffeine free, I have lots of energy. I love to play with a wand toy, chase krinkle balls and follow you all around. I enjoy conversation and just sitting beside you in bed or on the couch.

Ask about me if you are looking for a loyal and friendly companion!

Notes from Home
Bo is a wonderful cat, more kittenish. I think he is younger than 5, He seems to be hungry all the time..he is up before 6 ready to eat, cleans his plate and wants moe. I give him some dry and he is happy with that.
Loves to play, loves balls, plastic bottles and his toy mouse. He is currently stalking something in our bathroom, goodness knows what, but he's been at it for 2 days.
He loves his perch by the window which is where he naps, sleeps on our bed at night very quietly.
He adjusted very quickly, after transport, I let him out of crate, he found his food, litter box and water fountain, he investigated every corner and seems to have pronounced it good.
He likes to be up high and knock things off shelves, bat around articial flowers and be mischievous.. His way of saying play with me or else.
We love him to bits.

BAILEY
How pretty am I? I just arrived with my brother, Zander. I'm very independent, playful, and adore attention. Litter box? Piece of cake!
Notes from Home
This is Bailey ( formerly known as Zoe). I have been at my new home in Texas five years now and with my fur ever home 8. I really like it here. I have lots of room to run and play. My meow mom took me to the vet last month and everything was good. I have become very fond of my paw. He is loud sometimes and scares me but I keep going back to him. I like when he has his arm on me, it makes me feel safe. When it is bed time I race paw to bed and make sure he gives me lots of lovin. When a storm comes, I hide under the covers till it's gone. I like to drag all of my toys to my meow mom and paws bedroom. I cry with my toy in my mouth while I am carrying them around. I am trying to like Java. I actually tired to smell is bottom the other day. I am not sure what all the fuss is about, but he sure likes to smell mine... He wants to play with me but I remind him I am the Queen. My meow mom hopes one day we will be buddies. Maybe one day just not to day.

CRICKET
I was living outside in a condo complex, relying on the good will of several neighbors to feed me. Finally, they talked and realized that I didn't have a real home and that winter is fast approaching. So they contacted Siamese Rescue, and here I am just in time to celebrate the holidays with you!

I'm a petite, friendly girl who loves being petted. I'm new here and have had very limited interaction with other cats, but no extreme reaction to seeing them, so foster mom thinks I'll be ok. My neighbors told her I'm scared of dogs, so no woofers in my adoptive home, please. I've got a gentle nature and would be great with kids.

If you're looking for a well-adjusted, healthy, loving girl, please ask about me today!

SAMANTHA
Samantha, or Sam Sam as she prefers, is a lovely girl. She is extremely affectionate, enjoys a lap, and adores tummy rubs. She has a playful side, as well. She was stressed by other cats in her previous home, so must be an only cat. She needs a home that isn't too active, no dogs, but older children would be ok. There won't be a need for another cat because she will give all the love you could ever ask for!

Check out my new videos!!!

No new pictures yet
Notes from Home
Samatha arrived well and immediately starting playing, eating, and using the kitty litter.
We kept her in our bedroom and she explored it thoroughly going under everything.
We think she may have lived in a bedroom at her original home to keep her away from the other cats as she was very comfortable about it immediately. When startled, she would go under the bed! Fortunately I had cleaned there.
The first night she slept some with us and some in her own bed which I had put on a raised surface near me.
Week 1: Samantha was very playful--and was hungry. We evidently were not feeding her enough dry food as she went into the shopping bag and helped herself. We kept her in our bedroom and she would sometimes follow us to the door, but did not try to go out. All week we debated whether to let her out and discussed this with her foster mom and interviewer by email. They encouraged us to wait, and we are glad we did. The last day of the week we opened the door and let her out as I was home all day and wanted to be there to see how she did.
Week 2: Samantha cautiously walked out to join Allyssa and me in the hall, was startled by something and ran back in the bedroom. This pattern continued for a few days with Samantha making gradually longer explorations. Anyone moving a chair on our wood floors would send her back into the bed room. So we were glad we had gone slowly and she had a safe room.
The door was open and Samantha would come out to look and see who was out, but still spent most of her time in the bedroom and did not thoroughly explore the other rooms. At about the 3rd night she started running the length of the condo--really fast from the bedroom to the couch. The next day I picked her up and brought her to the couch and we settled in for a petting session. After that the couch was part of her territory and she explored behind and under etc.
I was very busy with finals for a few days but Allyssa reports that Samantha started exploring the house at night and today, at the two week mark, we had a playing session with her near the couch.
Samantha is a very good communicator. She talks to us a lot with a little "Mew" sound instead of the loud messer yowl, but definitely talks. She is very confident and even bossy about when she wants to played with, fed, or petted, or take a nap, or to go on the windowsill and watch what Allyssa calls "Cat TV"
We think Michelle, her foster mom, did a great job building her confidence and somehow Samantha realized immediately that this was her home.
One question-- we see three different ages for her and would really like to know if anyone knows her birth day or at least her birth month--so we can celebrate. (-:
Thanks to all who helped us adopt Samantha.
Janet
