ELSA
Hi there! My name is Elsa. That's the name I came with and I will answer to it. My mom couldn't take care of me anymore, so that's why I'm here. But she sure did love me while she had me, and I give back that love back to people tenfold!

If you're looking for a lovey-dovey type to keep your lap warm this winter - that's me! I want nothing more than to spend time with my people. I'm not crazy about other cats, but if they're sweet and friendly, I think I can put up with them (as long as they don't get between me and YOU!).

I'm fully vetted and will be ready to go home right quick. Ask about me!

Elsa is cleared of her ringworm and is an absolute love. We cannot believe that anyone in their right mind would give up such a wonderful girl. She is very loving, follows me around the house, sits on the top of my reciner or in my lap. She's blended in with the dogs as well, although if Diego moves towards her to fast she panics, however she will sit on the back of the sofa right above his head.

DAISY
I am a very pretty girl but also a very shy girl, so I need someone who is patient and willing to give me a chance to bloom. A quiet home please with no young ones as that would scare me way too much. I just need time and love to become less afraid.

Notes from Home
Daisy is very sweet. She is extremely friendly and playful. She was listed as being shy. However, she has completely come out of her shell. She never hides, and loves attention. She is also enamored of my other cat, Tristan. She follows him everywhere he goes. She is a very happy kitty.

PERSIA
Pretty shy at first, I'm a fast learner and while I'm not so sure about things because I was trapped outside and brought inside, I'm figuring out this thing called laps and loving very fast! I LOVE other cats so please be sure I have another cat to love me!

Notes from Home
Persia (Bella) is adapting slower than Peanut (Yoda) and much more shy & skittish than he is. She likes to hide under my bed when she is nervous but daily is getting better about coming out and wants to play. She will play with me if we're alone and I sometimes just spend time with her and keep Peanut separate for awhile so she can be herself without him being his little boy self with her. He loves to run up to her 50 MPH, jump on her back and try to play, which she tolerates up to a point but eventually gets him to back off.

She is underneath a very affectionate and friendly cat until she gets spooked by something. She has bonded very nicely with me and sleeps up over my head every night on my pillow. She had her first vet visit 9/17, to be checked out and to make sure that since Peanut (Yoda) had a minor "cold" that she was ok. The vet noticed bad breath and checked out her mouth & teeth. She had very red gums and seems to have some tooth issues. The vet wasn't too concerned , as some of those teeth will come out anyway (one came out in his hand), but he did say that she was likely very uncomfortable and might not eat the dry food as much until they get better. He did not feel that she needed any treatment at this time.

I am working with her some every evening to get her more sure of herself and her surroundings. I am confident that she will come around before too long and as Peanut grows out of his kitten madness, I believe they will be a great pair.
Thanks to everyone who helped me get her, pictures soon.

Barb
10/18/15
Bella is making great strides in adopting to me & her new home. She spends much less tie under the bed and much more out in the other rooms with me and with Peanut (Yoda). He is not so crazy with her now and they play together frequently and chase each other all over the house. They are into everything, (as I expected, but maybe didn't remember how intense they can be!) She sleeps with me at night and likes to be petted when she comes over to my lap for a few minutes. Still gets spooked when I walk toward her and/or when any unexpected noise or commotion occurs. I have a nice cat tree now and she has gotten up on that and seems to like it. Health-wise, she is all good, no problems--likes to eat! she is a wonderful, affectionate cat, much loved!
Barb

Am attaching some pictures of her--cannot get the red eye fixed on her, works on Peanut, but not her.

4/24.16--Bella (Persia) has turned into a lovely, affectionate cat. She is still a "scaredy-cat" and goes into hiding whenever anyone comes to the house. I can't seem to get her past this point. My grandchildren are gentle with cats, but she won't even give them a chance. Otherwise she is a friendly, personable lady who frequently talks to herself as she goes about her business. She and Peanut (Yoda) are good friends and play with toys and share the cat tree willingly. She and Peanut are both VERY picky eaters and I have gone through 20+ flavors/brands from the information sheet on this site. Now trying Fancy Feast, hoping some of their varieties will do the trick and prevent so much cat food from going in the garbage.
I am very happy with her!
Thanks,
Barb

12.22.16--Bella is a sweet, beautiful cat. She is still very shy and disappears quickly when people come, although she has ventured out a few times to meet company when it's relatively quiet. Even the phone ringing is enough to send her running. She has just had her one year check up/vaccinations and got a pretty good report--she has some teeth/gum issues and is supposed to lose a pound. (she is 10.2 lbs). Peanut leaves some of his food frequently hoping to hold out for some dry food and she is quick to eat his too. Will keep working with her to hopefully ease her nervous nature.

Thanks,
Barb

Bella is still shy and skittish, but not so much as before. She interacts with the grandkids until the noise and bustle gets too much for her, but very improved from her early days here. She is loving and pretty lazy, some playing each day but she loves her sleep! Unfortunately, she did not lose weight this year--now 12 lbs....She and Peanut are good friends and she also waits with him at the door until I come home. I am so happy with both of them!

YODA
Meowmy says I need to gain a little more weight before being put on adopt me. She'll keep you posted on my progress here, and when big enough, let you know when I'm on going on Adopt Me, so you don't have to get up in the middle of the night to check my status.

I was born to a stray mom, who was being cared for by a nice lady trying to make friends with her. When she finally did and was going to take her to the vet for a checkup, she got hit my a car and killed. The kind lady brought me and my brother to Meowmy at Angels of Assisi because she didn't know how to care for us. Assisi took us in and Meowmy brought us home and got us accepted into Siamese Cat Rescue. We aren't quite eating on our own yet, but Meowmy makes sure we get plenty of yummy food so we can grow big and strong.

Update 7/24: I've now learned to eat on my own and gobble up my wet food every day, but I still love it when Meowmy feeds me kitten milk from a syringe. I've gained a little but am till a bit smaller than my brother, Yoshi.

8/8/15 I'm gaining weight and am almost as big as my brother now. I'm going on adopt me, soon!

Notes from Home
Yoda (Peanut) has adapted very well & very quickly! He is a ball of energy and can't get enough playtime & petting. He is a very happy little guy, always purring, tail waving, looking something and/or someone to play with. He has bonded very well with me and greets me and follows me everywhere, mostly between my feet...

He had his first vet visit Thursday, 9/17, when he had developed some sneezing and a little mucus from the nose. He had an exam and got a shot of antibiotics. He is eating well, making biscuits, etc all good!

My sons and grandkids are absolutely in love with him and get in line to play with him. He is not afraid of anybody, if anything he is pretty forward and enthusiastic. The only issue with him at all is that he is too "enthusiastic" with Persia (Bella) who came home with him. She tolerates him but gets annoyed with his antics, speeding up to her, jumping on her, trying to get her to play with him. Every so often she hisses at him but mostly is friendly & tolerant. Overall Peanut is blending right in here and is much loved. Will send pictures soon.
My thanks to all who were involved in helping me get him (& Persia).
Barb
10.18.15
Peanut has continued to grow and adapt to his his new home. He is still an "action man" and still wants to play most of the day but has settled down a bit in his approach with Bella (Persia). They are much closer now and gallop around the house together, playing with all the toys, my plants, my clothes, shoes, (Peanut likes to shred rolls of toilet paper if he can get the one off the roller...

In any event they are bonding together more and more. Both cats sleep with me at least part of each night.
Peanut had another visit to the vet, with another eye / nose infection. Got liquid antibiotics and eye ointment this time, which was an experience. He seems to be all better now. He now likes for me to pet him and gets on my lap for short periods of time. At least I can get a picture of him now that's not a blur!
Barb

4.24.16 Peanut is not a peanut anymore...He is a full size, very solid guy. Still the same lovable, happy cat who loves everybody (and everybody loves him). He wakes me up most days at about 3:30 AM with vigorous nuzzling and purring in my face, laying on my head, etc. I got a cat tree for him and Bella (Persia) and they (mostly Peanut) have destroyed it in 6 months. It only has one perch now, but Bella can lay on the shelf below him. It was part of their race track and couldn't endure the daily flying leaps and pounding he was giving it... All in all he is a wonderful companion and a great personality. I love him to death! He & Bella are both VERY picky eaters and I have probably tried 20+ flavors, brands, etc, wiping out most of the brands on the information sheet on the site. I have settled in on Fancy Feast now, trying to find one or two that they will eat and not leave most for the garbage! I am updating Bella today too.

Thanks again,

Barb

12.22.16--Peanut is no longer a "peanut"!.. He is 12.2 lbs and has a very long body. He had a great one year check up and is doing very well. He is more affectionate all the time and follows me all over the house when I'm home. He and Bella (AKA Persia) are working their way to demolishing a second cat tree...makes me wonder what goes on when I'm not home, but I can see the skid marks across my kitchen table where they launch onto the tree...I'm very happy with him!
Thanks,
Barb
1.14.18--Sorry for the late response, computer and camera issues...At his latest vet visit, "Peanut" is now 14 lbs, long and lean. (Not lean enough according to the vet). Refuses all wet food and is eating Science diet dry Rx urinary blend. He is like a little dog now, fetching and bringing his toys to me as a hint. He is a great companion and waits at the door every day for me to come home. He and Bella (Persia) are happy companions. Both are a joy to my life.

RILEY
I'm a California boy, adopted originally from So. Calif. Siamese Rescue. My family made the long move from the west coast to Florida, and they brought me with them. So, they must have loved me, right? What's not to love? I'm cuddly, sweet as can be and very handsome (so I've been told). But I was picked up outside by animal control and when they tried to locate my family through my microchip, there was no reply. We'll probably never know what happened, but I'm looking for a new family now. I've lived with dogs and other cats and I'm cool with both. So, how about a nice flame to warm up the cold winter nights for you?

NYLA
I have such a sad story to tell you. I had a family who obviously didn't love me very much because they didn't take me to the vet until several days after I had broken my leg somehow. They said they had no idea how it happened (foster mom keeps rolling her eyes when she hears that). And to add insult to injury, they decided they couldn't afford to fix my leg, so they took me back to the shelter where they adopted me and returned me!! I can't tell you how much it hurt and yet despite how I've been treated, I'm still just the sweetest cat, loving to tuck my head under you chin and be held. At this point, the vet recommends continuing to let my leg heal like it is and keep an eye on it. I can walk around okay but foster mom says no jumping. I have my very own Millie bed to rest in and I even get to take it to my forever home.

Notes from Home
Nyla walked to the bridge in the second week of December 2017. She went very peaceably and is no longer in pain. She was the light of my life.

Harrison (aka Yum Yum) is doing very well! He was a bit shy at first but has come out of his shell and loves exploring his new home with his sister. These two are quite the pair :) We love watching them play or wrestle (maybe a mixture of both!). They are so fun and we are very glad to have them as part of our family!

Harrison went to the vet on Friday, 12/8, just for an initial check-up and to meet his new veterinarian, Dr. Picard! Dr. Picard said Harrison looks great! He is definitely the bigger of the two but they are both very healthy. All is good!

Harrison went to the vet on 1/5/18 for a weight check and weighs 5.9 pounds! He is very timid and scurrys if there is a loud noise but is still quite the lover boy. He leaves the exploring to his sister but loves wrestling with her. He is a great boy and we love him very much :)

Addison (aka Clover) is doing great! She is very playful and loving all the space in our loft. We often find her sitting in the window looking at the birds... of course when she is not tackling her brother! She really enjoys our dog, Carmen too! Addison is a great addition to our little family!

Addison went to the vet on Friday, 12/8, just for an initial check-up and to meet her new veterinarian, Dr. Picard! Dr. Picard said Addison looks good but needs to gain a little weight. Rebecca and I have been giving her an extra meal each day. We go back in one month for a weight check. She is a little peanut! All is good!

Addison went to the vet on 1/5/18 for a weight check and she is 4.5 pounds! She is growing by the day and becoming quite the explorer. She needs to know what everything is! Addison is much smaller than her brother but she is still the boss.

CHARLIE
Oh, I am just living the life of luxury now. I real bed, a real human, all the chow I want to eat, and my teeth got all fixed up. I get to snooze wherever I want -- my cardboard box, the cat perch, the sofa, the bed with the human. It's all good! I don't see out of my one eye, but I get around just fine with one, thank you very much. I tilt my head sometimes, and the vet doesn't know why, and I'm not telling. My fur is getting so soft.

I get along great with all the other cats here, and I even like the dog. A wonderful rescue angel has even sponsored me to help me get adopted. Ask about me and foster mom will tell you more about me! I'm a big hunk o' purring chocolate boy.

Notes from Home
Charlie is the absolute purfect cat. He is starting to become a bit more assertive as he gets used to living here. When he wants my attention he pats my hand or will grab it in his teeth. not a nip, but an action to let me know my hand should be petting him instead of what it is doing. He had difficulty getting up on the bed so if he had to get off for some reason he stayed off the rest of the night. now there is an antique child's chair only ten inches high beside the bed. He is up and down all the time and even sleeps there in the day now. He has the chair down pat. He walks around gargeling which I have not figured out what he is talking about yet. An old cat living with an old woman. He is uncomfortable being picked up, having his feet touched, and having his belly touched. He goes to the vet this coming week to meet his new doctor.

TARNI
I am a gem of a cat. Smart. Sweet. Patient. Persistent. No bad habits. I am ready to rule a home of my own again. Everyone says they can clearly tell that I had a loving, social home before I landed in rescue.

No new pictures yet
Notes from Home
Tarni has made her way downstairs to be with everyone, including the dogs!
She made herself at home upstairs with me for a couple of weeks, but she
is such a lover that I knew she would eventually come downstairs with the family.
She now likes to park on the back of the couch above the dogs.
My daughter is so happy that Tarni comes to her bed and talks and gets some loving.
My husband thinks she is beautiful. We couldn't have asked for a better cat!
3/3/11 Just wanted everyone to know that we had a recent death in the family, and our
house was filled with family and friends. Tarni greeted everyone and is comfortable enough
to stretch out in the kitchen floor with the dogs. She is romping around the house at warp
speed and I bought a laser toy and my daughter loves playing with Tarni.
7/3/11
Tarni provides us with many hours of entertainment. She has a lot of personality and loves to play.
Her only bad habit is trying to escape outside with the dogs. We are very careful when opening doors. She likes to bolt through them. Fortunately, the few times she made it out the door the service dog, Raider herds her right back inside. I am thinking about getting an outside tent for her to sit outside with the dogs so she gets what she seems to want and I am sure she is SAFE! She is a wonderful Cat and a great addition to our family.
8/22/11 Tarni and Jessica pix uploaded.
12/29/12 Two years have flown by. Tarni is still queen of the castle at our house. My daughter finally has a cat that loves to sleep with her in her bed. I don't think we could have found a better cat!
12/29/2013 It's really been 3 years? Tarni still rules the roost here. This year she opened lots of wrapped gifts that were not for her and removed lots of ornaments from the tree. I put the stuffed pillow ornaments near the bottom and just let her play. My husband often asks what happened to that cat we brought home that hid under the bed for the first week? Tarni is certainly well loved.
12/29/2014 Tarni is the "queen" of our house. She rules the dogs with little nips and swats. She loves to curl up with my daughter in bed. All is well at our house.
1/1/16 Tarni is doing great. I added new pictures.
1/2/17 Tarni is still the "Queen" of our house. I am adding pictures.
1/11/18 Tarni loves to ride in my daughter's lap from her room to the kitchen in the mornings. Jessica loves that Tarni will ride on her lap in the wheelchair.
