TASHA
Greetings, Wedgie Lovers.

I'm a gorgeous, loving lady with cobalt blue eyes. I love to be held and sit in laps. I'm definitely a talker.

I am bonded to my sister Sheba, so we need to stay together. We were both sick at the shelter, but are on the mend. I'm underweight now and need to be fattened up, so I won't be ready to go home until at least the end of January.

More info and pictures to come.

Notes from Home
Tasha is a sweetheart who has adapted quickly to her new home. She has been eating well and gaining weight like crazy. She is a lap sitter at her demand and also will sleep with her new mommie most of the night but also likes to explore and see what the other kitties in the house are doing. She is more adventurous than her sibling, Sheba, and follows or chases her new brothers and sister.
2/4/2018 - after 6 years (at the age of 16) Tasha has slowed down a bit. Her favorite things to do are sleep and eat. I have a feeling she is deaf, although maybe she just enjoys ignoring me more than she used to. She and my other meezer, Patrick, still only tolerate each other.

ODIN
A fairy tale story, we fell in love over Rescue 3 years ago and now are back through no fault of our own - we adore each other, our kibbles, our toys and your laps. Ready made family ready to go.

Notes from Home
Odin is settling in well and has adjusted to his new home. He is playful with both Bassie and his toys, and asks for attention, on his terms of course. We enjoy snuggling (both on my lap at the same time) and of course would like to be there when I am reading or working on the computer. He is a joy!

2017- He is just the funniest cat. Odin doesn't like any type of noise and runs as the slightest sound. He is growing more affectionate and actually comes to be scratched and brushed. He loves being brushed and will come when he sees the brush come out. He is becoming more comfortable as time goes by.

1FEB2018

We survived the drive across the country and Odin did very well. I was concerned he would be totally stressed and he wasn't. He is very comfortable in his new environment and is very active in the evenings when we are hanging out or watching some TV. He stills runs at noises and is tentative at times. He comes to visit while I am working, however just to get his ears rubbed or a pat on the back. He is often on my bed at night and will sometimes sleep at the foot on the opposite of side me, where as Bassie is on my chest or neck.

He continues to be a joy and everyone loves him.

Notes from Home
I took Bassie to my local vet and Dr. Austin recommended I take her to a specialist dentist in regards to her stomatitis. I have a referral although we have not seen the dentist yet. She is happy, playful and eating well.

I am so happy to have her in my home.

2017 - I have been remiss in updating the site for Bassie. She is a wonderful cat and so much fun to have around. She is very social and warms up to anyone who comes to the house. She is bringing out the best in Odin too.

1FEB2018

Bassie has had a very good year and has been a wonderful addition to my life. She is so friendly and wants to be in the center of it all. She is a real joy to have around, and she is always around. I've nearly tripped over her a couple of times as she has to be right with me.

Prior to our move Bassie saw Dr.Helen and was given a good bill of health. Her stomatitis is under control and she is eating dry and wet food, as well as soft treats. I am still giving her Wei Qi Booster and have added a L-lysine supplement for immune support to assist in reducing inflammation. She is maintaining her weight and doing very well.

We moved to AZ in early January and she traveled very well. She has settled into her new home and is comfortable with everyone in the house. She is sleeping on my bed at night and in any other location she feels like during the day. As I am working at home she will come and go throughout the day to sit on my lap for short periods of time.

I will be looking for a new vet for her and Odin in the near future. There is no small animal veterinarian in my home town so I'll be looking for someone within a hours drive.

I'm going to upload a couple of photos.

I'm a super sweet gal. I love to play! I even like to help fold the laundry! I can be a little sassy just to keep you on your toes. Go ahead and ask about me. I'm ready for new adventures!

Notes from Home
Sofi is such a sweet little girl. She's come a long way in such a short period of time. She has adjusted to our daily routine and knows when to expect meals and family time. She will however let you know when you're a little late with her breakfast.
At first Sofi was a little apprehensive about her new big brother, Mojo. While they didn't really interact much at first, they quickly got use to one another. They now nap together on the cat tree or in Sofi's room on the big bed. They quickly found that they had much in common, feathers, birdies, cardboard boxes, head rubs, and the cat tree.
Sofi and my husband bonded quickly. He plays flying birdie with her and Mojo every morning. Sofi is quite athletic. She climbs the cat tree rather than jumping up to the various levels. We're teaching her to use the cat tree instead of the furniture to sharpen her nails and exercise.

JABRIL
I am a happy boy. I am a little sensitive so a home that is not too boisterous would be best for me. I would love to have another kitty in the home to play with me.

We have changed Jabril's name to Luther. He seems very happy with it and comes running when called. Especially for treats. Luther and Priscilla have adjusted well and are best buds. They enjoy each others company by playing and even grooming each other. We are very happy with our furbaby family.

Just wanted to say thank you again to everyone involved to help bring Luther home.

CHAMP
Sweet, loving, playful boy with a good appetite and great litter box habits. He loves belly rubs, and his favorite thing is to play with wand toys. He is healthy and ready to go!

No new pictures yet
Notes from Home
Champ is doing very well on this, his six month anniversary, in his forever home. He is eating well, using his litterbox like the champ he is, and being affectionate, playful, and a bit bossy. He's adjusted to his new home and enjoys nothing better than hurling his toys all around the apartment, and any of Mom's things he can pick up or push off a table. He wakes me up at 6:00, asking for his breakfast, after which he goes to the patio door and checks out any birds, squirrels or chipmunks who are going by. Then it's off to leap around in the bed while Mom tries to make it. In the evenings, he likes to watch the fireflies and occasionally makes a leap at one that gets to close to the screen. He's good with company although he's not too keen on the housekeeper running her vacuum cleaner in his territory! Champ is a champ in every way and he's been a joy since day one.

1/30/2018

Champ is continuing to do well here in his forever home. He just had a check up which showed his kidney disease has progressed somewhat, but is still not requiring more than diet control, though I don't think it will be too long before we may need to supplement that with periodic subcutaneous fluids. However, he had gained a little weight, which indicates he's still not in the phase of the disease where he is beginning to lose ground.

He did give me a little scare a couple of weeks ago when he, despite my best efforts to keep him away from doing so, threw up a segment of Christmas ribbon, necessitating an emergency trip to the vet. Fortunately, there didn't seem to be any more hidden away inside, so sighs of relief all around!

Champ has become a wonderful lap cat and now spends most of his afternoons snoozing on my knees in blissful oblivion. I'm including some photos to support this information but will have to switch to my laptop to do so, as my current device doesn't have enough memory to do it. Be sure and check for them later!

Thanks, as always, for bringing us together.

Notes from Home
Daisy Mae is settling into her new home wonderfully. She is eating well although still a little nervous so Rich or I stay with her in the morning and evening while she eats. She has adjusted well to her cat box and production there is normal. We have opened most of the rooms to Daisy to explore while we are home with her. When we leave, we leave her room and ours open to her. As she has taken to sleeping with us, our room is now hers and she feels safest there. She is still shy around visitors to house and hides when some one new drops by. I feel she will move past this as she adjusts to her home. She is very courteous and follows us around the house.

LEIA
Got the mouse, in the house; on a roll, in a bowl; here and there, everywhere; pounce on your toes, give you nose; talk up a storm, keep you warm; hide and seek, please don't peek; tag you're it, catch the kit; no closed doors, the lion roars; snuggle tight, warm at night; early bird, yes I purred; leap and pounce, balls that bounce; in the sun, then off to run; love to play, could go all day; drop dead pritty, am I your kitty?

Notes from Home
Leia is doing great! She is an absolutely joy! She keeps me on my toes-for sure! She no longer has any use for her bed as she finds mine much roomier. She is totally OBSESSED with strings and playing is mandatory on a daily basis.
She is the sweetest little girl and I'm so very happy she is mine!

It has been six months since Leia and I adopted each other. I am convinced she is child in a cat suit. She is the brightest, funniest, most vocal cat I've ever encountered. She absolutely demands my attention, and it is a joy giving it to her. She sleeps in her bed, uses her scratching post and gives kisses-could I really ask for anything more? I cannot imagine my life without her!
Update: Leia and I have been cohabitating for 4 years now. How time flies! She is just the best most beautiful cat ever! She has been and continues to be such a joy. Anyone who has come into my home has fallen in love with her. Meezers are truly a special breed!

FINN
Not sure whether you want a dog or a cat? Well, I could be the answer to your dilemma. I will follow you around like a puppy. I'm outgoing, curious, a little mischievous and playful, but I also enjoy lap time and don't need to be walked when it's cold or rainy outside. The best of both worlds.

No new pictures yet
Notes from Home
Finn is adjusting well to the new kittens. We have really enjoyed having him in our home.

He has settled down nicely with our kittens, and has been less nippy than when he first came to us, which is why we got kittens! They are all getting along beautifully...and play together, sleep together, groom together. We're so happy Finn is part of our family!

Finn has continued to get along wonderfully with the kittens, and we are so relieved he has settled down with the previous nippiness. Now he's all love and lap sitting!

Finn had a bout of sickness recently, some sort of infection that made his gums and back of his throat red/inflamed, but bloodwork came back normal. An antibiotic shot cleared things up and he's back to his fiesty self. We've so enjoyed having Finn in our house--can't imagine life without him! He plays with the kittens so nicely and they sleep/lick/eat together all the time. But Finn especially loves to sit on our laps, which we love. He's become part of the family and we're so glad we adopted him.
