JASPER
When I got here I was in the middle of an upper respiratory infection. I am much better now and when I am totally over it I will be looking for my forever home.

8/16/15 This is one sweet cat. He is just a lover. He rubs all over my legs and I have seen nothing not to love this cat. His litter box habits are perfect and he eats like a champ. I don't know why he was put out but he is getting a better coat and lots of love now.

It is time for me to find my new home. Read about me and then if you are interested my foster mom will be happy to tell you all about me.

Notes from Home
Hi everybody - I have been in my forever home for a year now - February is my anniversary month. I have adjusted well to my new environment and have a buddy who is also a rescue from SCRC. His name is Landry and we get along well. He was adopted in 2009. The girl, Abby, is still a problem but we manage to trade rooms and it is working out. Maybe one day she will not scare me so much. She thinks she is boss. I sleep with my Mom and Dad at night and am a well behaved boy. I love being with people and definitely want someone with me most of the time. I have a very "purrsistent" cry and let everyone know when I am not happy about being alone. I have put on about 4 pounds since I got here and am no longer a skinny little thing. I am pleased to report I am off all meds and stick to my special diet faithfully - luckily I love ZD wet and dry. I have been for my yearly checkup and passed with flying colors. I will be forever grateful to SCRC for finding me my forever home, and especially to Jane for taking such time to make me well. Love and Kisses. Jaspurr

April 21 2018

Hi all. Here I am living the good life, having gained quite a bit of weight, weighing in at about 14 and a half pounds now. I am still on the hypo allergenic food, but do occasionally get into the other food and no longer have any bad reactions to that. No issues with throwing up or litter box problems, although I don't like to poop in the box. Peeing in the box is ok with me but not pooping for some reason. Mom and Dad have just decided to live with it and put down puppy pads right outside the box that I use. I am so affectionate and everyone who sees me says I am gorgeous. I sleep with Mom and Dad every night, but like to wake Mom up early for breakfast. She is ok with that though and just gives me kisses when I come up to her in bed and cry for food. My brother Landry (another rescue from SCRC) is great, but my sister Abby is still mean to me and we have to keep her separated from me. My new sister, Misty, can be a pain sometimes and even though she is so small (half my size) she can scare me. I just prefer not to get too close to her although we can be in the same space and sometimes she kisses me, but sometimes she swats me. She can be a pest. I am quite the talker and like to vocalize all the time when someone talks to me. I wish Mom and Dad could understand me. They try though. All for now. Pictures to come.

Sweet young male cat needing a new place to call home. Landry loves to talk and tell us what he thinks about things. He doesn't seem to mind other cats and we will find out more about that soon.
Update 10/30/09 landry is a lover and gets along with the two females he is with. He was very sweet with the Pip the kitten.

Notes from Home
Hi everyone - as you can see I am really living the good life. I have comfortable places to sleep, all the food I want and even a nice girlfriend to spend time with. My Mom and Dad make sure I stay in tip top condition, taking me for my regular vet visits, and even having my teeth cleaned when necessary. I do still need my allergy shots, but look at how beautiful they make my coat. My Dad is my favorite person in all the world. When I first came to live with my Mom and Dad, he spent three whole weeks sleeping with me in the spare bedroom so I would not be lonesome. He is the best person ever. He is retired and home with me all day, so we spend some good quality time together. I hope all of you get a wonderful home for the holidays. Love Landry.

April 21, 2018

Hi everyone at Siamese Cat Rescue. I am pleased to report that I am still happy and in good health despite a set back in my dermatology treatment. A few months ago I started to develop bare patches in my beautiful coat after doing so well for many years on my allergy treatment. My Mom and Dad attributed it to the new vial of serum I got, but after further testing, it was discovered that my allergies have changed and I am now allergic to new things. I only get a small shot every other week so it is not so bad and I am a very brave boy. I get treats for being so brave. I get along great with my brother Jasper and am still the sweetest and most beautiful boy inside and out. I had to have a tooth pulled last year. That was not too much fun but I recovered just fine. I have a new sister, Misty, that was a stray around our condo. She is ok but I still like my other sister, Abby, better. My Dad is home with us all day and I really like that. When Mom comes home from work we all greet her at the door and want attention. All in all, life is pretty good. My Mom says we give her so much joy that she doesn't know what she would do without us.

SUMING
I'm going to look a little different when foster mommy gets some new pictures of me in a week or two - you see, no one knew when I first came out of the shelter and had this picture taken that I had picked up an infection there that would soon start damaging my left eye. Despite everything the eye specialist could do, it has progressed and this week I had a surgery that is making foster mommy sad, but she tells me now my left eye will never hurt anymore. She tells me that I am the most beautiful girl on the inside and very soon I will be the most beautiful girl on the outside again too. I have been trying to cheer her up, reminding her that my right eye is fine and that with all the doctor visits and medicines I have been just as brave and sweet and loving and cheerful as any kitty could be, and I'll just be even sweeter and happier now that my eye doesn't hurt any more.

Is there a place in your heart for a sweet, soft girl who has kept her spirits up and purred and purred through everything? Then please keep a watch right here for updates on me as I get better and get my strength back, and maybe when I am all well I can be your sweet kitty forever.

SuMing's nickname is Suzi She is doing well and maintaining a healthy weight. She loves to go on the screen porch and watch the birds and squirrels in the yard.

Suzi is doing well for her age. Doc says she is good health wise. She still circles. No further eye problems. She has decided the dining room table is hers, so we set up a blanket for her to sleep on. At least she no longer hangs out in my office! However, she still considers herself the undisputed queen of the house. (We now have 3 other Siamese.) She still loves the screen porch and spends hours there watching the little critters in the yard.

HENRY
Non stop lap sitting, headbutting, and hopping around after you. I'm a 7 pound guy with a heart of gold that I'd like to share with you. Previous trauma left one of my front legs somewhat useless, but I have no pain and I manage just fine - the only thing it stops me from doing is scratching your furniture (gee, what a shame :) If you're looking for a little teddy bear of a guy who wants to lap sit till the cows come home and then some, check out my video!

During this past year, Henry developed a bowel problem which is now under control thanks to Miralax and Cissypride. He's back to a swelte weight of 16 lbs. He loves the screen porch and watching all the little critters in the yard. But most of all he loves to be held and petted.

BOUILLE
Well...here we go again. I'm back in rescue through no fault of my own - my mommy got sick and couldn't care for me anymore. I miss her bunches. She adopted me when I had just been rescued from a feral colony 3 years ago and I was terrified of people. Now butter wouldn't melt in my mouth (or so they say).

Foster mommy says that I am a rare sight in Siamese Rescue... a 'fluffinator'. My fur is about three inches long all over and I'm just a big PUFF of fur. Even so, I'm not a big shedder and my silky fur never matts. I don't need alot of 'work' done, so I'll be ready to go home by Valentine's Day. Will you be mine?

Notes from Home
3/11/10 Bouille/ Beau has settled into our family very well. He loves to play and sit in open windows. He often sleeps with us part of the night and then sits beside the bed. When he thinks it is breakfast time, he shares my pillow and pats me on the cheek or sits on my hand and gently holds my finger in his mouth. He and Sweet Pea often run through the house, up staires and down like a herd of horses. When my husband sits in his recliner, Beau comes up to him and pats him on the arm. He will even bring him a toy to play with him. Beau is a very smart and sweet cat.

7/2/10 Bouille/Beau is now part of the family. He has traveled by car on a 4 hour trip to the NC Mountains and back for a long and busy weekend with many family members and friends with any problems other than getting into the carrier. We took a friends suggestion and bought a soft side carrier which opens from the top as well as the side. Just picking him up and putting him into the carrier was much, much easier and less trumatic on both of us! Shortly sfter the trip began, he began crying and crying and crying. My husband said to let Beau out in the closed car. I unzipped the end of the carrier. Beau came half way out to the carrier and stood up and looked around. It seemed to relaxed him. Then he backed back into the carrier and rode peacefully. He allowed the end to be closed when we were ready to exit the car. This passed week we had house guests which were only a pleasure the him. Beau, especially liked our friend Don, who wresseled with him.
My husband calls him a tank! When he runs and play it is all out. Running and sliding on the hardwood floor. He loves to chase a red light dot on the floor or the feathers on the end of a fishing pole. Sweet Pea is hesitant to play with him. My husband say it is like Bam Bam and Pebbles.

2/21/2011 It has been a year this afternoon since we brought Beau home from VA. Being the "big, brave, couious cat he is, he adjusted to our home quickly. He is bold and beautiful. He has gained 3 pounds and still charges around the house and up and down the stairs. He love to be brushed each evening and enjoys company. If the company does not pay any attention to him, he will go up to them and tap them on the leg. If they still don't pay attention to him, the claws come out a bit as he taps them again. His favorate to is to shine a lazer beam around the floor and let him chase it. He loves to run the length of the room and slide as he swing his hips around a 180 degrees, ready to run back the other way. He is part of our household. He knows our retines and makes sure we are on time for the task. Beau is a joy for all of us. He still looks out for Sweet Pea and calls for her if he does not know where she is.

JAX
Hiya! I'm Oliver, the more outgoing of this twin set (the other half being Toby).

We were rescued off the back of a submerged couch in Cocoa when hurricane Irma went through. We got some icky eyes but they are slowly getting better with medication. It will be a little while before we can go home because we have to have that operation (you know the one).

We've been through a lot in our short lives and want to stay together. I take care of Toby and make him feel more confident.

Hello from Sullivan's Island, SC! This is Jax and Poe's Mom, Stacie, submitting a quick update on the boys (previously Oliver and Toby). They are both doing GREAT! My two older 7 year old girls are still not entirely thrilled with the new situation, but they have learned to "tolerate" the boys and we can all peacefully enjoy day to day life together now. We are hopeful that one day they will all be able to cuddle up together, but not quite yet (stay tuned)! Jax and Poe have so much energy, and they love to play ALL OF THE TIME! They also engage in some pretty intense wrestling matches with each other, and cuddle up for naps and bedtime every night. We are so thankful that we were able to bring them into our home. Thank you again to all of you who helped to bring them to us! I will attach some photos now too, and will update you all again soon!

Hello from Jax and Poe! We just received the message that today is the 6 month anniversary of their adoption. They are doing great and we are enjoying every moment with them! They still have so much energy and love to wrestle and chase each other around the house. Our two older girls have learned to live with these two firecrackers, and will even share sleeping spaces with them (after Poe and Jax calm down)! All of the kitties love to hang out on the screened in porches and will spend hours watching for birds and anything else that moves! We are all very happy and still so appreciative that you brought us together. We will update you again soon!

Don't know why Foster Mom calls me Evie Knievel? could be I can dash out of the foster room faster than any of my sisters. OR because I can Climb the highest double yes even Triple baby gates to escape the foster room. I only want to climb out so that I can be with Foster Mom and give her kisses and kisses. Nothing a little love (and dental attention) won't fix! Misplaced by Hurricane Sandy, I'm one in a million (okay really one of two) that are in the program, and I'm just a gem!

Pongo's new name is Panihaka (Hawaiian for Successor). Panihaka's stomatitis was extensive to include bone loss in the front of the mouth so all of his teeth (including the canines) were removed last week at "The Life Center" in Leesburg, VA. Panihaka is still having a lot of snot issues but we are hoping that they will decrease now that he has less bacteria in his mouth. He is currently on antibiotics (clavimox) and pain killers (today is the last day for the pain killers). He is actually feeling much better now that his teeth have been removed. He can really get a ping pong ball moving in the middle of the night on the hardwood floors. :) We had been hoping that Panihaka would get Torin to start playing again but it turns out that Torin has developed heart problems and shouldn't be playing much anymore. So we are playing with him instead. With all the medications and surgery he is still a little wary of us but he is doing quite well and loves to be scratched of the head and now even the chin.
4/17/17 - Panihaka is a very happy cat but he still has litter box issues. We can not figure out why he insists on using the bathtub rather than a litter box. We have tried many different shaped boxes and many different litters but he still prefers the bathtub. If the tub is occupied, he will use a puppy pad that we placed in the corner of our bedroom after he piddled there once.
Many other things have happened to Panihaka in the last four years. He has befriended several cats in our household and has walked each of them lovingly to the rainbow bridge (Kokoleka, Kalima, Torin and Akoni). After four years of walking cats to the rainbow bridge he has finally decided that people are OK. So now he finally sits in my lap with Nikolaka and they groom each other constantly.

April 2018 - Panihaka has been with us for 5 years now. He gets along well with the other cats. He still has snot issues but I don't think that will ever go away. He also still prefers the bathtub over a litterbox but if he has to have bad litterbox habits the bathtub is preferable to most other areas of the house. This year he has decided to become a lap cat. I am curious if that will continue once the weather warms up. All in all everything is good.

NALA
Sweet, loving and playful, that's me! I'm basically a kitten without the terrors. I have perfect litter box and scratching post manners. I'm a tad shy with new people and new places, so I would do best in a quiet home where I can blossom. While I'm not a lap cat, and I don't like being held, I'll be your best buddy on the couch - pressing right up against you seeking lots of petting. Ask about me today!

PAULINA
Hi Everyone! I'm settled in here in my foster home. The accommodations are pretty good but what I really want is a home of my own. I'm not so sure I like other cats but the jury is still out on that. I do like to cuddle. Foster Mom says I'm a reserved gal for my age. I think she means I don't act like a crazy kitten like one of my room mates does. I do have a bit of the sniffles so it will be several more days before Foster Mom can see how I am with other cats. If you think I might be the gal for you, please ask about me and Foster Mom will tell you more about me.

Love,
Paulina

Notes from Home
04/16/18: Paulina has been with us 8 years and she continues to add love and happiness to our lives. We welcomed our son, Lucas, to the family in January 2017 and Paulina has been a wonderful big sister. She is friendly with Lucas, rubbing against him and letting him chase after her. She continues to like her privacy and independence, laying in sun patches and curling up in her cat bed. Although she is aging, she continues to have strong health. We love her! Thank you again for saving her and giving her to us.

3/31/15: We've had Paulina in the family for 5 years now and she still brings such joy to us. She is healthy, loving and playful. We're consistently complimented on her bright blue eyes and gorgeous thick coat. We think she's siamese and blue point russian. A true beaut! We moved from DC to Boston and although she hated the 10.5 hour car ride, she loves her new home with all the natural light, big window sills to lay on and lots of birds to watch. We remain grateful to the Siamese Rescue Center for saving her and introducing us. Thank you everyone!

4/4/14: wow! Four years with Paulina has flown by. She's healthy, happy and still a joy to have in our family. After careful consideration, we decided to adopt a second cat, Harry, who joined the family two years ago. He and Paulina are great siblings! They chase each other, play together, cause tons of mischief, and are great pals. It took our princess some adjusting, but ultimately she's happier for having a partner in crime. We've been lucky to not have any health issues and are still so grateful to the rescue center for your help in saving this amazing baby girl and letting us adopt her. Cheers to you all!

3/29/11: It's been a year since we adopted Paulina which is such a short time since it feels like she's been in our family forever. She is too much fun to come home to! She has added so much value to our family. With no health issues (she had her physical last week), a healthy appetite, and a penchant for fun, we expect to celebrate many many many more anniversaries!! She loves to be groomed (a true princess), chase her toy mice, and scratch her pole (we need to buy a new one because the core is coming out!). Thank you to all of the volunteers and employees of the Rescue who take care of these beautiful cats--we owe you! Until next time... meow.

09/29/10: 6 months has passed and Paulina is an integral member of our family. We enjoy coming home to her on the weekdays and love spending time at home with her over the weekend. Our routine is great--come home, purr like crazy for 20 minutes, play, eat, play, lay, play, and off to bed! Then we get the lovely 5am to 6am wake up call "is it time to play yet!?" Just this morning, she purred for a good 10 minutes and butted her head between me and my husband to get some love. She has grown to 9 pounds, her fur is a bit darker, and her meows are louder! We love that she's vocal!! She still has her diva tendencies. If we come home and don't immediately drop everything to pet her, she shows her dissatisfacton by being naughty (climbing on the countertops--the one surface she's not allowed on). Training her has been easy. She's well behaved and reacts well to a squirt bottle with water. She eats, uses the litter box, doesn't scratch the couch and loves treats. She's been super healthy and very active. Thank you so much again for assisting us with this match. We love Paulina deeply and owe Beth, Kathy and the other volunteers a HUGe thanks!!!
Purrs & Kisses,
Rebecca, Adam & Paulina Wright

04/29/10: Just wanted to let you know how fantastic Paulina is doing. She is such a joy to come home to everyday. She's really settled in and has her favorite spots in the house including our bedroom window sill, the rug in front of the balcony door, and the top of the couch (always one cushion away from us). She loves affection but also likes her own space. She's not a huge fan of being held but she's also very patient and docile so when we pick her up she just kind of looks at us saying "you can put me down anytime..." But she can't help but smile when we give her a belly rub or a chin rub while holding her.

She sleeps in our bed at night but stays at the bottom of our feet until around 5am when she decides we should be playing with her. I don't mind be woken up by a purring and padding cat though--she starts the day off showing us lots of love! Paulina is doing fantastic and she's very grateful to you all for saving her life and placing her with a great family.

First Entry:
Paulina is doing fantastic! She is so affectionate and sweet. She's been eating, drinking, using the litter box and most important, playing! She has so much energy and love to share. She's also extremely well-behaved. She comes when we call her and hasn't scratched any of the furniture! We are so thankful to Siamese Rescue and for all of the folks involved in keeping her safe and loved. Beth, Kathy and all of the folks at Siamese Rescue were incredibly helpful and caring. These cats are lucky to fall in their hands! We just hope more and more people continue to adopt from the rescue and bring these beautiful, special creatures to their home. We are now a family of 3, and very happy.

Best,
Rebecca, Adam, and Paulina
