JIMMY
I really love to be loved on and will flop onto my side and back for belly rubs. Foster mom says I'm part dog because I love having my butt scratched. The second she touches my butt I stick it straight into the air. I love following her around and really keep her on her toes because I'll run between her legs. I can be a real tripping hazard if you're not paying attention.

I'm still timid, it's just how I am, but curiosity definitely helps in overcoming it at times. I'm very curious and have to check out every nook and cranny and will jump up to the tallest heights to investigate. If a door is closed to me I know how to pull it open if it's not closed all the way. I always have to check out what foster mom is doing, whether she's at the computer or brushing her teeth.

I do have a few quirks that some people may find endearing, others may not. I enjoy putting my toys into the water bowl and scattering kibble all over the floor. I'll even put them into little piles...got my foster mom scratching her head on that one. She says it's because I love watching her sweep so I can rub against the broom. But if you don't free feed me I will make less of a mess. I also like opening cabinet doors and drawers...what can I say...I'm curious! And if you have a running faucet...I'm there! Foster mom and I like to share a sink in the morning while she's getting ready for work. She'll be trying to brush her teeth while I'm getting a drink.

I have a MAJOR obsession for plastic and think it's a very tasty treat, even vinyl shower liners. I don't just bite at it I swallow it. She keeps telling me that it's very dangerous and has had to go through the entire house to plastic-proof it from me. I keep outsmarting her though and find more of it. Whoever adopts me will have to put all plastic behind locked doors because I'll even take it out of the trash!

I'm currently living with 2 cats and 2 dogs and I'm getting more comfortable with them. When I first met foster mom's cats I was very confrontational. She thinks it's because of my past history with my former feline brother whom I started fighting with. Since being here for a couple of months I'm no longer confrontational, in fact I now act submissive. I've shown no aggression and in fact act like a typical victim cat. Foster mom believes I was the recipient of the attacks which is why I'm always on guard. If I do go to a home with another cat, he/she will have to be a very kind and sweet cat that will not torment me. I've never seen dogs before until these Corgis which aren't much bigger than me. I'm not as skittish with them but dogs still make me a little nervous. I would probably be ok with an older, laid back, low energy dog that will leave me alone and not chase me.

I'm a real loverboy and will rub against you and talk to you to get your attention. I'll be joining you in bed at night, so I hope you like company. I don't care to be held and carried around and I'm not a lap kitty, but I will lay next to you rolling around on my back for a full body massage. I'm all you could ever want, heck I'm equal to 2 cats at 16 lbs!

If you want true love, I'm here waiting just for you. Foster mom has added new pics of me (7/6/08) so come take a look!

Purrs,
Jimmy

Notes from Home
As many SCR volunteers know, my foster meowm has become my forever meowm. She loves me for all my little quirks, even the plastic eating one. In fact, she will even trick me by using a plastic wrapper and making noise with it so I'll come running. Then she grabs me to trim my claws...that is just not right! But I love her and my 2 feline brothers, even those 2 droolers called Corgis aren't so bad. I've completely settled in and I can't believe that it will be 1 year in August '09 that she adopted me. Where has the time gone?! My meowm says I've very smart...too smart at times...because I KNEW I was adopted. I was on my best behavior right up until she signed the contract, after that I started shoving stuff off of counters and slamming cabinet doors close to get attention. Yup, I'm one smart cookie. I'm adding a few pictures, so enjoy!!!

Purrs & Headbutts,
Jimmy

DICKENS
Hi, I'm Tiny Tim.

I was named after Tiny Tim in the Charles Dickens classic, The Christmas Carol because I have a deformed front leg and am missing a toe on my back leg. But that doesn't stop me from getting around ok. I can do just about anything any other meezer does. I am also a snaggletoothed meezer and I am a love bug.

I just love to snuggle and be held. I will purr and purr and snuggle and snuggle. I crave attention. I have a gravelly voice but I am the happiest when you hold me. I may not be the handsomeist meezer but I will love you.

Please ask about me.

Purrs, headbutts and snuggles,
Tiny Tim

Everyone should have a little geezer in their home. Cuddly, supersweet, and it is amazing how he gets around on his bent front legs!

ANASTASIA
I just loooove people! I walked into the shelter I was at before I came to foster meowm. I'm older though, and I have manners, so since I was invited, I came in. Foster meowm says I am great to have around, and that I am very chatty. We have lots of conversations, about life and food and finding me a home. Email quickly so you don't miss out on me!

cranky old nose chomper, who is always getting herself into tight spots( inside the freezer.......)
gotta love those old ones!

RICKI
Foster Mom said Christmas came early for her this year.

I've done so well lately that she decided to take a chance and let me explore outside of the room where I've had to stay for the past three months. She expected me to hide under a bed or furniture but I surprised her ! Instead of hiding, I decided it was time to explore. From exploring I then went on to playing with the other guys here (the females are just no fun) . I've been having a really good time - exploring all the nooks and crannies, playing "tag", wrestling, and helping to re-decorate one of the Christmas trees. I've done so well that now she thinks a younger and more playful cat would be a purrfect companion for me as long as they can also be a good role model.

I still only come to Foster Mom and let her pet me in my room but I do jump up onto her lap when I'm in the mood for pets and loving. Of course, I still can't be held or picked up yet, but she said one of these days I'll be able to overcome my fears. For now, she just enjoys having me on her lap while I purr and roll and make biscuits or when I lay behind her neck and nuzzle her.

Do you have lots and lots of patience ? Cause we're not just talking weeks for you to gain my trust, we're talking months. And I may always be a little scared and skittish and run if you move too fast, make loud noises or if strange people are around. But eventually you'll have one of the most affectionate and loving cats you could ever want. If you have that kind of patience, then go ahead and Ask About Me and Foster Mom will be happy to respond with all the details.

Oh, hai! U can haz updatez!

:::cough::: Sorry about that, got stuck in LOLcat speak again. Just wanted to check in and let you all know how things have been going since I went home 3 years ago. I have to say, it was kind of scary--new place, new people. And I wasn't much of a fan of people back then. But Meowm was every bit as nice as Foster Meowm promised,, even if I had to do a bit of remedial training with her--she didn't believe Foster Meowm when she was told I don't LIKE to be picked up. We've learned to compromise--I climb on her lap now.

I have two brothers that I like really well. Meowm says we bicker a lot, but she just doesn't understand male bonding rituals. I've learned that many people (even loud people who come do work on the house) aren't mean at all. Doesn't mean I'm rubbing up on them and making nice or anything--guy has his pride after all. But I can walk through the room when they're in the house and nothing bad happens! I could get used to that!

I sure am glad Siamese Rescue took a big chance on me, because this is THE life. There's plenty of good food, clean litterboxes and soft beds (I like soft beds :) And if I put on my most charming self and snuggle up to Meowm and look all adorable and sweet, sometimes she'll feed me early. ::::grin:::: Just call me the PuppetMaster.
