GRACIE (FKA SNUGGLES)
Well, my motto is: "Girls just wanna have fun--by themselves!!!" Been here a few weeks and am really giving meowm a run for her money, but not to worry, she is just as stubborn as I am. I lay low during the day but once the lights are out.......paaarrty time--wahoo! Meowm stops by my room in the wee early hours of the morning and it sounds like there is a party of ten cats doing the disco!!! So, that is about all the info we know about me--I am scared but I love to play!! I just need some time to settle in and make sure that things are okay. After all, I did come from the shelter with a warning label: she does things in her own time. ...she needs patience.
*** UPDATE: Well, meowm ran out of patience and put me in a more confined space so she could play with me more easily and guess what? Just as she suspected....I am a real snuggle bunny. Once she picks me up I snuggle right up to her neck and just enjoy being held and petted. If you listen really closely, you might even hear a purr!!! And if that isn't enough, I will stretch out on her lap for a good belly rub. But, I am still easily startled so a quiet household is best for me with no dogs and no children. Another really laid back kitty might be okay. You will have to check with meowm! *** Check out my new photos!!!!

P.S. Meowm just told me I got a gold star because some very kind soul thinks that I am very special and gave me an adoption scholarship. Ask Meowm about it!! Awww, that just makes me smile!!! Thanks a bunch!!!

Notes from Home
Gracie is energetic and happy--still skittish around outsiders, but fine with us and she's determined to break down any resistance from Anna, adopted a week later (there's no more hissing, and they're almost cuddling with one another--a little more persistance and Gracie will accomplish that too).

LILLY
Behold the rare flame girl: Purrs, head butts, chatter, sweetness, and playfulness coupled with acute intelligence. Not significantly dominate or submissive, I enjoy other kitties and play well with others and would enjoy a playmate. I was turned into the shelter as a stray, pregnant and homeless, but none of my litter survived. All this, and I am still just a kitten myself. I am a small girl, weighing barely seven pounds. After all I have been through the last few months, I am ready for my forever home now, so please ask about me!

Notes from Home
Lily is doing very well! We recently moved, so she spent 4 nights in the kennel with her big sister Ginger. That went better than expected. They came home very talkative and have had fun exploring our new home over the past 2 weeks. She is still as playful as a little kitten, which works out well because she's got a great playmate in my 2-year old daughter. Lily will be having her yearly check-up in July. She had her teeth cleaned about a year ago (I think) and there were no major problems (just fresher breath). She is always our happy girl, ready to nuzzle and cheer us up. We're great!

Notes from Home
Well, I've been in my new digs for two weeks and I really like it here. I wasn't so sure at first, but once I got over that strange-new-place feeling, I really started having fun. I have a brother who was nice to me from the start, and a sister who took some winning over. I endeared myself to everyone by being one of the sweetest, most loving, most talkative cats that's ever been here.Think I'll settle in and stay.

Owen's family here: He's turned out to be an exceptional cat. He was the first one I was attracted to on the site and the one I came back to in the end. I think it was meant to be. He settled in amazingly fast, with few issues. He wasn't too keen about our dog at first, and now seems to delight in trying to bully him once in a while. But there's been no major dust ups between anyone.
I will say he is the most talkative cat I've ever met. He talks back to you when you call him. And he now comes running at full speed when you call for him.
The first time Owen met Bob, he licked Bobbi's face. This was to a totally strange cat, and while in a new place. That's just the kind of kitty Owen is. We are very happy with him, and he seems to be happy with us. He's a good boy. Will upload some pictures soon.

ZOE
Well, I am just scared to death - guess you can tell, huh?

I've really been through the ringer but foster Mom thinks I'm going to be okay. I even purred for her today.

When I was at the vet, I heard a dog and freaked out so unless things change, I really can't live with any woofers.

Just need some time in a safe place and then I'll be able to start over. Maybe with you? If you think you might be my new Mom or Dad, can you please hit the Ask About Me button?

Thanks and Love

Britney

Notes from Home
It is just two days shy of one month since Zoe (AKA Britney) arrived, and she has already taken over our hearts and our home. She and Riley are practically inseparable. They both sleep on the bed, and they follow each other around the house. Zoe loves windowsills and the patio. She demands to be petted and runs the household like the little princess she is! She has become quite a "talker." She still displays a bit of nervousness and does not like to be held, but we are working on that. A little more time should have her fighting Riley for my lap!

TYBEE
Hi, here I am Stuck in the Middle of the cats available. I am a great companion and especially good at computer stuff. Check out my photos to see - You can check out my cute face, too. I am such a great supervisor - telling foster mom that she ran out of coffee. I love other kitties and play well with my own toys or with foster mom. Sometimes I sit in her lap if she scratches my chin in just the right spot. Suzie

What a wonderful girl! I just can't think the folks of Siamese Cat Rescue enough for finding her and allowing us to adopt her. We've named her Tybee, a happy reminder of time spent off the coast of Savannah with family and friends. She is a scamp, and she's working very hard to train us to be her willing slaves...and she's quite successful. Tonight she is going to be allowed to explore outside her adjustment room, so I'm sure we'll have lots of laughs watching her scamper and sniff and chirp!

Purrsonality: playful, active, loves people and all four legged fur friends, "master" purrer

Pasttimes: snuggling under chins, chasing crinkle ball, racing across bed, biting tail, snuggling with "beans", scratching mouse post, riding on shoulders, capturing the crinkle ball, snuggling on lap, giving kittie kisses, attacking the crinkle ball, door dashing, sleeping on foster pa's shoulder

Notes from Home
Kaio is a joy! He is double in size now from when I first adopted him a little over a year ago, and he still has a sweet and mellow personality. He loves to purr, chew on boxes, look out the window, and play fetch with his crinkle ball.

CLOUD 9
I do not understand what happened. I was a very loved cat, well taken care of and very loving for 6 years and then this little kitten came in that I did not get along with and out the door I went. Gee, I was there first and I do not know why they gave me up. Hey I am a 6 year old lady, I did not like a kitten running all over me. I am very sweet and loving to my beans. I will even dance for your petting. I stand up on my hind legs and twirl around to reach the hand that pets me. I have great litter box habits, I am just a great lady, what more can I say to make you want to see me. Give me a chance to show you just what a great gal I can be. My foster mommy is going to see after I adjust how I get along with adult cats and maybe a dog.Well, I have met the doggie here, he was a big doggie so I gave him a little swipe on his nose but did not use my claws. I just wanted him to know I am boss. Other than that I did not hiss or anything. Thanks, Cloud 9

Notes from Home
Well I have been with my new mommy for almost 6 years now and I finally have her trained the way I want her to be. I told her I wanted to be an only but did she listen ? NOOOO, so it is her own fault she has to keep two cats apart. At least I get along with the dog. I hate company , I hate people, except for my mommy and sometimes my daddy. Any time anyone comes in I run under the bed and one time I pulled the telephone wires out and since it is a water bed no more phone in the bedroom :) However, she fixed it so I can not get under the bed now, darn, I liked hiding under there, well until she learned to get the vacuum hose and put it under there and I would come out real fast. She calls me her early radar warning cat as I can tell when a car turns into our driveway long before the dog and when she sees me running down the hall she will say someone is here. Do not need a watch dog with me around but I do love my 13 year old 55 pound dog, he is neat and does not chase me. He is bad about sniffing me and I yell at him when he does that. She thought she was going to get me on some healthy food, well when I lost two pounds in two months the vet said let her have her junk food. I showed her who was boss. After all I am almost 12 and I want things the way I want them, but then I always have wanted my way. I do now allow her to have 1/4 of her king size pillow, I think that is very generous of me. I still do not let her sleep nights as I think she should know when I am going to go potty, eat, get water, check on the dog, when I am coming back to bed, etc. and so I tell her all about it in a voice that no one can sleep through, except daddy but mommy says he can sleep through any thing so don't be upset that I can not wake him. So life is good and I know no matter how bad I am my mommy will always think I am the greatest. I have her wrapped around my paw and she says she has me wrapped around her heart.

HUDSON
Achoo! Achoo! I'm not feeling my best as I have a cold from the shelter. But that hasn't stopped me from being friendly and loveable, and just as handsome as can be. And - I'm polydactle on top of my stunning good looks. I was in foster care from the shelter, and they say I got along with other cats, with kids, and with dogs. Want a big-footed handsome flame boy? Then ask about me!

Notes from Home
Hudson just turned 1 and is really growing up. He has turned into the snuggliest, cuddliest little guy ever. He is a total goof ball who will jump all over the place for a string. He loves his furry mice and has learned to play fetch. His energy level has come down a bit, which his good for Ti. Hudson has also started learning better manners. Even though Ti only tolerates him, he loves her and is always following her around and watching her to learn what to do. You can see him studying what she does, and then trying it himself later. Hudson is a big lap sitter. The cats aren't allowed on the couch, but he'll come and put his little paws on my legs to let me know that he wants to be picked up and put in my lap. He is very handsome now. He went through a really funny period of awkwardness where his head was really small! It just made him cuter. But now he is looking quite spiffy and his points are coming in. They are orange stripes.

QUEEN TI
Bibi here. I am a petite little thing at 5.5 pounds but I do need to add a pound or two since I have come from the shelter a little thin. I also have a snuffly nose but I am very happy to be in a home and no longer at the shelter. Foster mom says I have a very sweet personality - now she just has to see what she can tempt my tastebuds with to start plumping me up a little. I did talk some and told her that it was a long trip by car today so I am tired and ready for a nap. More updates later. Foster - Kay Congrats Sarah in NY!

Notes from Home
Ti had her five her anniversary of being adopted in March. I am amazed it has been so long! She has gone from a scrawny little thing to the most beautiful cat. I know all cat owners are biased, but I think Ti is objectively beautiful! She has managed to charm all of the people who live on my hallway in my apartmen building, and pretty much anyone to enter my apartment. One bat of her huge blue eyes and everyone is smitten. She is also extremely smart, very curious and tightly bonded. She isn't a lap sitter but she sleeps with me every night. She is 100% spoiled and deservingly so!

MOCHA
I'm a real seal Diva who is very affectionate, incredibly playful, loves to race and chase and climb and play fetch. I am too smart for my own good and can be a bit mischievous and occasionally moody - HEY, that's a woman's prerogative! I love attention and I love to interact but I ain't sharing, so beware. Please no small apartments as I get the wild crazies quite often and have to run the Indy 500 to keep my figure in shape! You know what they say about girls - they just want to have fun!!! If you're looking for just one gal, you'd like involvement, interactive, silly, loving and a little bit on the wild side, I'm a great choice.

Notes from Home
Mocha has adjusted very well here. I kept her name, I think it fits her and she seems to know her name. She'll come and greet me when I get home from work and tell me about her day. She has a very quiet voice and she loves to be petted and she purrs a lot. On the sixth day, she started to play with her toys. She sometimes climbs up on me and sleeps. When I'm on the computer, she comes looking for me. She doesn't like loud noises, like the vacumn cleaner and the coffee grinder. She runs and hides when they are on. She didn't like getting into her crate, when I brought her to the vet. She meowed all the way to the vet, but on the way home, she was quiet. All in all she is very happy at her furever home.
