TYLER
I'm a bit more involved than the average male cat, I have an opinion and I let you know what I think. I'm an athletically built 11 pound cat who does a bit of talking, a bit of snuggling, a bit of playing, and a bit of climbing and exploring. My preference is people, other cats are okay but they had better be able to stand up to me. My family should want a cat with an opinion, a little cattitude, and one that is involved in the day to day activities of the household. I don't always like to be told what to do, but then, what Siamese does!

Notes from Home
Hi Siri,
Tyler is doing great. He is a bit skittish and likes time alone- but comes out when he wants to play
eat or sit with June...Appetite great bathroom activities normal.
He got his rabies shot--did not do distemper they said not required for indoor cat...
He has a bit of red around his gums--vet said 2 drops of ALoe in water should clear it up--not a bother to him..
He likes his toys and to watch out the window and enjoys all closets in the house when he can get in them.

He is a big hunk of fun to be around.

Alan

Notes from Home
Hi Lauren and Pat,
Mia's doing great, and she's officially comfortable in her new home, as evidenced by her walking all over the furniture and tables. This morning I found her perched on my microsuede headboard until I woke up. I've decided to keep her name because it fits--1) she answers to it (really!) and 2) she likes to kick a ball around like famed soccer player Mia Hamm, so I think it suits her. Ah yes, and everyone says our names go together: "Kara Mia."

She's learned that when I don't respond to her meowing in the morning that she can simply jump on the bed and walk all over me until I'm awake. She has no problem telling me exactly what she wants. As I've told my friends, never in my life would I have anyone be "the boss of me" but my cat.

She had a bit of an ear infection for a while, but that was alleviated with some drops. I think she still has a trace, but she's been very active this week so I'm assuming she's better. She also is very nosy when it comes to my dinner time, and she props herself on the chair next to me when I'm eating.

I've posted some new photos of her last week on the site.
Thanks for answering all of my questions. I'm sure I will have plenty more!
Best,
Kara

PEANUT
Wow! someone finally took pity on me and took me out of the shelter. My former owner had to go out of the country and just deserted me. She did leave notes, though. She said that I like other animals,.children, men & women. She said I like to talk, and I've already had a lot to say to meowmy. Mostly I kept thanking her for taking me out of there.

Well I've been here a while and like the kitten fosters here. When they get to wild I just turn my back on them and go back to my bed. What I'd really like now is a forever home of my own. Are you looking for a laid back boy like me who likes belly rubs? If you don't mind that I'm a little shy at first, why not ask about me and maybe I'm the one for you.

Purrs,
Peanut
PS: Meowmy said I'm extra special 'cause I'm the 100th cat she has fostered!

Notes from Home
I call him Pnut now - I like the shorter form of his name. He is sweet, pretty, is very tolerant of Mandi's diva ways, and they play and groom and sleep and eat together like they have been together all along. Pnut tends to get alarmed quickly by noises and strange events so he runs away, but he slows down when I call him and reassure him that all is OK. The two of them - Mandi and Pnut - have made our home complete and I am very happy.

CHANTILLY (SILLY CHANTILLY)
Aunt Siri says that blues aren't usually the brightest lightbulb but I'm set on proving her wrong. I'm a very Siamese savvy gal who has an opinion and doesn't hesitate to express it. I'm outgoing, vocal, friendly and curious - and I know what I like and what I don't like. What are those things you might ask? I like to follow you around, talk to you and be with you - I like to carry on a conversation, and I like some loving now and then. I don't like other cats, and given my superior intellect I don't have much use for the human beans of the smaller kind. So if you'd like an interactive one on one relationship, dial my number.

Oct/09: Chantilly is very happy, and has taken over every pillow in the house and on the porch for several naps a day. A kitty needs her beauty sleep. She is very good, well behaved, and even follows me and comes when i call her. She is still timid, but friendly with my female friends. She is not as comfortable with men. However, she is finally coming up to my husband and occassionally letting him pet her. She 'has her own mind' , and is getting more comfortable.
We still have not determined what is causing her hives, but they have reduced alot. I have adjusted her food a few times on special food , and now the Vet thinks that it may be envirionmental instead of food. I am trying to pin point this so that we know how to treat it with as little disturbance to her.
She is such a sweet kitty/ There is no thought about not keeping her. I will attach some new pictures. 1 of her on the screened in porch; and 1 with her favorate type mouse that we play with a couple of times a day.

KATRINA
I am your Katrina Ballerina. (What? You've never seen a 16 pound ballerina? Hey, there's always a first time!) I love to sit on laps, and if you're dirty, I'll clean you. I love to hug you around the neck and nuzzle your neck. I purr and purr and purr. I need someone to take care of my glorious soft and silky ragdoll coat (just had my summer shave, but am going to need regular brushing and combing), so if you've always wanted to be a hair dresser, this might be your chance! And my ballerina capabilities? Well, I can, um, hmm, well, I'll save that for another story.

Notes from Home
Three years ago today Katrina (now Kaylee) walked out of her Meezer Express carrier and kneaded herself a place in my heart and life.

Every time I look at her, either sprawled out on my floor or shoving her way into my lap for a purr and a cuddle, I know that I have the sweetest, most mild-mannered rescue cat in the whole world. Thinking about her makes me smile every day.

This past month has been a bit of a trying time for us - she had a viral flare-up in her eye that necessitated surgery to save her vision, but she's healing nicely and holding still for her eye drops like a trouper. Even the cone of shame doesn't bother her (three more weeks, sweetie, then you'll be free!).

Thanks again to everyone at SCRC for your help, and bringing a sweet, fluffy sandbag of a cat into my life!

BUTTERCUP
Here is the scoop. If you are looking for a cat that sits in the sun and bathes itself than I am not the cat for you. If you are looking for a fun loving tail wagging in your face attention seeking cat than I should be your choice.

OK I am not a seal point Diva but I am one of the sweetest you will find. Just ask about me and foster mom will give you all my information.

UPDATE:Hi everyone, I want to know why I am still here. I think I am special, fun loving, full of energy, playful, and loving. Why haven't you seen that? Ok I will be waiting.

Buttercup is adapting extremely well to life here with me. She's amazing! Seriously, I couldn't ask for a better cat. She's my shadow, which I love, and freely shows her love and affection. She lives for play-time and makes me laugh out loud frequently (especially in the mornings when she really gets wild!). She wags her tail all the time (like a dog) and it's so cute. My vet could not get over how friendly (and healthy) she is. Plus, she's so different looking that people just marvel at her. She is my little dream kitty! We have easily bonded and I know we'll be best buds for life! Thanks Siamese Rescue!

Notes from Home
Kevin Kitty stole our hearts from the first moment we saw him. He is adorable. He loves to cuddle and give head butts. He was a little cautious the first few hours when we got home, but not after that. We have not had any issues with his food, litter box, or anything! He is the perfect little gentleman. He loves to sleep in - in the mornings till around 8:00, and then it is time for breakfast. He loves to play and play and play. He has a mink tail that his foster mom gave him that he adores!!!! He carries that tail around with him everywhere he goes. It is so cute. He also loves his wand toy from his foster mom. If I leave and come back home he greets me with a lot of purrs, and some rubs, and then it is time to play with his wand toy. He has a cat condo that he LIVES in, but he will politely get down when you come into the room and go and stand beside his wand toy as if to say....come on entertain me! He sleeps with me at night, and I love it. He does not like to sit on your lap, but will lay down beside you. I couldn't ask for a better kitten. He is the best. He will be getting a little sister kitty named Paris in about a week.
Thank you siamese rescue center for changing our lives forever. Thank you to foster mom, Shirley and Marjorie for all that you did for Kevin.

LUCY
A little time, a little patience, and a soft touch and I promise to sleep with you every night and love you to the ends of the earth! I've had some scary experiences in the past but that doesn't stop my faith in the human race from shining through, I just KNOW it will be alright! Will you be the one to make it so?

No new pictures yet
Notes from Home
Lucy is doing great. She has relaxed alot. Still skittish and new situations make her nervous. She lets out a little mew when she's nervous (like the first time she crossed over Bob's big feet on the bed) but we talk to her and encourage her, and she'll usually screw up her courage and try things out. We still only get lovies on the bed, but boy does she love lovies on the bed! When we come home in the evening, Brother Butter greets us at the door. But Lucy waits till we go to change clothes and then she jumps on the bed for her hello.

Bad habits??? What bad habits? She has PERFECT manners. No scratching on the sofa, no jumping on the dinner table or countertop (unlike Butter!). Impecable litter box skills.

She has bonded to me. BONDED. Follows me around from room to room. Can't touch her (since she's not on the bed!!), but she's in the room with me. Comes looking for me if I dissappear for a bit. Bob and I both love her so much.

Notes from Home
Vivienne (Vivi) has adapted well to us and to our home. We're not sure where she spends the night, sometimes she's at the foot of our bed - could be anywhere. Her bathroom habits are fastidious - she expects (and gets!) her meals first thing in the morning and at 6 PM. She plays with various toys - her favorites are paper clips (which I now hide!) and a white electric outlet cover which makes a wonderful sound! She has several balls she plays soccer with. We've just bought her the circular toy that has the scratcher in the middle, surrounded by the moat with a ball that she bats around and around. Sometimes she lifts the ball out and plays soccer through the house so that we have to hunt for it! She's very clever!! Vivi is a very sweet, friendly kitty - she speaks in "chirps" - so cute! And not too often. She's gained weight even though we restrict her to 1/3 cup dry food 2x/day. She loves to sit on the porch and listen to the sounds and watch the wildlife. Several times a day she will have her madness fit and streak like a mad woman through the house! I put it down to extreme exercise! She loves to sit on my lap at night while we all watch TV - She does have the sweetest disposition and we love her a lot! My little grandsons have suggested (when they were going to get a new kitty) that I give them Vivi and then get another for us. Ha ha! She was so gentle with them - curious and friendly. She follows our house keeper around the house and helps with the cleaning - totally unphased by the dust buster or the vacuum cleaner! She still sometimes is skittish at sudden movement or noise - probably a carryover from her earlier life. Interestingly enough she does not seem the least interest in going outside. I'm so gl ad we have her - she's a delight - I talk to her all the time!

Notes from Home
Mina is now named Mika, and little miss fearless is as rowdy as Rinn told us! She attempts to climb walls, she gets into everything...and then she purrs loudly and cuddles.

Mika is working on making friends with Pete, who seems a little distrustful of other cats right now. He's getting better with the little one. Our dog thinks Mika is great fun to play with, and our grumpy black cat is actually pretty accepting of Mika.

Mika is delightful, fun, and brings a lot of laughter with her!

9/29: Mika is curious, playful, quick and funny. She adores Pete; one of her favorite things to do is to go racing up to him, jump on him, and make him wrestle with her. We are so happy that Mika and Pete are part of our family!
