TURTLE
Foster Mom says there is nothing not to like about me! I'm a love machine and give the best headbutts and I have a purr motor that won't quit! I chirp when I see the other kitties so there's no reason to think I can't live with other nice cats. What do you say? Why don't you get on my list so Foster Mom can update you when she learns new things about me?

Hope to hear from you soon!

Love,
Turtle

Turtle is one crazy love-bug. He is playful and learning to calm down and sleep on my chest. The resident princess doesn't like him yet, and he is also learning to respect boundaries. He really really wants to love up on her too :) He's all I expected and more. I adore him.

SHIMEE
I am so sweet and so loving that Foster Mom thinks I should be clonned. What in the world is a clone? I'm one of a kind, a lynxy-tortie type girl. My pictures just don't do me justice. I'm quiet and just love being in the same room as my humans. I don't need to be on your lap every moment but love to cuddle and watch TV. I have great habits, I haven't scratched on anything here yet and my litterbox manners are top notch. I get along with the other Meezers here but needed a long introduction to really get to know them. Any room at your home for a one of a kind girl?

I don't know if there's a better place. . .somewhere where I could be more happy. My meow-my was just informed that it was 5 years ago on Sunday that I came to live with them. And a lot has happened since then. First came the woofer and then a kitty friend for me.-- Sunee another Siamese who looks like she could be my twin. And and just recently another Meezer girl who loves to play with me--a seal point named Safia. We are one big happy family and I love being the matriarch of the bunch- overseer of everything that goes on from my perch. Yup, life is good!

SMITTY
100% Grade-A pure Meezer here. Nothing artificial. I am demanding, affectionate, vocal, and very loveable.

You will strive to obey my demands and show me TRUE LOVE in return !!!! After all, that's how royalty should be treated!

I just arrived and only have a couple of pictures so far. Foster mom said I moved around too much, but I just needed lots of her attention. More info soon!!!

p.s. I have a LOT more pictures now, take a look :-)

4/11/08 - Hooray, I'm jumping for joy ... I know that THIS TIME I have found my FOREVER HOME !!!! I'm the happiest guy in the world !!!!

Congratulations to Lisa & John !!!!

Smitty visited the Vet for a checkup in March 2009 which coincided with a followup he was having for a left eye discharge (ended up being just spring "cat season" issue) as he watched the activities go on outside with all the birds and such. He is doing very well and enjoying his home so very much.

SOPHIE
I'm a chatty Cathy, I mean Sophie, busy body interactive outgoing ambassador type kitty who has an opinion about everything and thinks that no corner should be left uninspected. I love to look out the window (okay, so my previous days outdoors are calling me), so you'll have to watch the front door. I'm very friendly but have an agenda a mile long, so only ask about me if you can keep up!

Notes from Home
I was Sophie, now I'm Chloe. I love to have my head scratched, and if you're not using both hands, you're not working hard enough! I have something to say about absolutely everything and my mommy is starting to understand me. I made her a Siamese-English dictionary:

meow! (more food!)
meow! (pat me!)
meow! (stop patting me!)
meow! (the neighbors are home!)
meow! (wake up!)
meow! (I lost you!)
meow! (look at me!)

OLIVER
Somewhat unsure of people, but oh so want to be a good cat. Take it easy and slowly and I'll bond very tightly with you. I need a quiet home and do need to be the only cat; I'm good with my habits and if you could see it just to give me a little time to settle in, I'll make it well worth your while.

Notes from Home
Oliver has been with us 6 months! He has settled in very well (he definitely likes his "only cat" status), and he continues to relax a bit more every month he is with us. He still has only one type of toy that he likes, but he really enjoys tossing them around and carrying them from room to room. We've also found that he loves to be brushed and combed -- he would be happy if we brushed him for hours!

SABASTINE
If youre looking for a sophisticated lady Meezer, you've found her! I'm experienced with gentle children, and even a laid back dog. I just need a slow intergration and I would really rather be an only but if I have to I can get along with maybe a laid back male. I charmed my vet (my big blue eyes work like a love potion), who thought I was very sweet and lady-like while having my check-up: blood work A+. And I'm a girly girl who enjoys having a manicure. I'd love to find a fur-ever home to call my very own , wouldn;t you love having me in your lap? My suitcase is all packed -just ask for me, Ms. Sabastine! Adoption scholarship offered by secret pal up north! Wow, people do love me! So I am ready and waiting.

Notes from Home
I go to the vet two times a year for tests and sometimes more. . I hate the vets but I act like the perfect southern lady that I am while I am there. The vet said I was doing fairly good for a 17 1/2 year old, kidney values are a little off but I only need special foods and no fluids yet. Each time I go she says fluids will be in the future. She started me on the special food 18 months ago and my values have stayed about the same. I even had a dental done to keep my teethies looking good as the vet says this year may be the last year I am healthy enough for a dental. My meowmy knows she is not my favorite person, she knows I am a daddy's girl big time. I caress his face, sit by him on the couch, sleep next to him while he watches TV or sit on the back of the couch so I can rub his ear. The only time I let meowmy near me is when she has a treat for me. My sister and I still can not be in the same room without constant supervision, after 5 years my meowmy is reconciled to the fact we will never get along, but that is ok, we are worth the effort to keep us apart. She says one emergency room visit was enough so she makes sure we do not get near each other. So it makes it good that my sister is a meowmy's girl, she stays out of my way. My mommy even goes in the other room to watch TV so my sister can be near her while I stay with my daddy. So just wanted to let you know I am still doing well. i am very much loved, and I really love my daddy. My meowmy loves me even if I have nothing to do with her, she says that all she wants is to make me happy and my daddy does. But meowmy is very good in the treat department so I have gotten a little better with her.
Purrs to you,
Sabastine Va3131

COWBOY
I'm looking for a lap. A loving, warm, open lap where I can sit for hours on end, staring up at you lovingly, patting your face, snuggling against your chest, purring away. I will sit there as long as you'd like and love you as much as you want.
So why haven't I been adopted yet?
I have perfect habits. I don't mind other cats but people are by far my preference. I love children and adults, teenagers and dogs.
So why haven't I been adopted yet?
Well, I have a positive heartworm test in my past. That means that at one point I had a heartworm, but it is likely gone by now. There may be some residual damage (I do have a heart murmur) but I show no signs whatsoever. Heartworm in cats is not like in dogs - you can't treat it in cats - and many times the body absorbs the heartworm and we go on with our life. I could benefit from an echocardiogram if you'd like to get me one, and I have an adoption scholarship to save you on my adoption fee since we may visit a cardiologist together. So while, yes, there might be a little residual damage, it might also be no big deal. One thing I've decided? I'm going to get as much loving as I can possibly get in, so don't adopt me unless you want a big lap sitting lover boy!

Notes from Home
Even though Cowboy (aka Mosey) has been with us for 6 months, it certainly does not feel as though the honeymoon is over! He is a wonderful cat that charms everyone he meets, and we love him dearly. In the last several months Mosey dropped a few pounds, which is great for his weak ticker, and he has become quite playful. He loves his feather toy (although he prefers to chase the metal clip once he pulls the feather off) and he is still crazy about catnip. He favorite toy is one that he brought home from the VA Center--a hand-sewn bad of catnip. He wrestles with it daily!

We love to take Cowboy for walks around our neighborhood (on a leash, of course) in part because of all the compliments he gets from strangers. It makes us feel like proud parents. Somehow we don't mind that he wakes us up with purrs each and every night; he's so loveable, how can we refuse?

Thank you Siamese Cat Rescue Center for keeping such great records on our boy--it has made dealing with his hear/lung problems much easier. At the moment he is just about symptom free, with just a few coughs now and then. The only treatment we have to give is to appreciate him every day that we have him. Cowboy teaches us to live in the moment.

COOKIE
Ohhh, I'm so nice. I'm good with other cats. I love to be petted and be by your side. I talk when I want something. My beautiful, blue coat is so soft, plush and warm, and my eyes are icey blue and thoughtful. Can I be the queen of your life?

JINGLES
Jingles here wanting to introduce myself. It took me a couple days to be brave enough to come out of hiding, but when I did, boy did I turn on the charm. Foster mom says that I am a stunningly beautiful cat, have a wonderful personality and am a very happy and healthy cat. I was given up by my owners to the shelter when I wasn't happy with the new kitten they brought home. Hey, it was MY house and that little kitten didn't respect my laid back, easy going ways. It just wanted to play and chase and I wanted to rest and watch birds and squirrels. If you would like a loving and easy going girl, please ask about me, but you'll have to promise me you won't ever trade up for a newer model - it would break my heart to be rejected a second time. Purrs, headbutts and love from Jingles

Jingles is doing great. She didn't have any trouble adjusting; in fact, her first night here, she found her spot in the bed between my husband and I. She has begun being more playful and loves the toys that were sent home with her; although her new favorite toy is the laser pointer Daddy got her. She gets a little grumpy about the fact that she is limited to half a can of food a day, but she's learning that this diet and exercise may not be fun, but it has its benefits (energy level up!). She's a sweet lover that wants to be on our laps or as close to our faces as possible if we are sleeping or sitting anywhere. We couldn't be happier to have adopted her!

ALEX
Hello

I was at a shelter and the really wonderful lady there contacted Siamese Rescue because she knew there was a special kitty in ME. Phew it is still taking me time to know what happened to my life but Foster Mum said it will be all good from here on, so today I celebrated with some little big MEOWS to get her attention hee hee.

I'll turn into The Great one soon, just needing to get familiar with my surroundings. If you have lots of time to give me and can give me confidence, then let's talk!

Ohhh and I do need to stay in my transport area.

Purrs (yes I purr lots too)
Alex

Notes from Home
I am doing great in my new home. I am investigating a furry critter in a cage. I'm not sure yet if it is a toy or another brother. I am roaming while my new family is home, as sometime I still get a little close to the cage. I greet my parents in the morning and at night when they come home. My meowmy has nicknamed me wiggle-worm, as I like to stretch and wiggle across the bed and floor. I love my forever home!
