Hi folks,
Just had my glamour shots made and aren't I a beautiful young blue point girl. I am really getting used to the good life and my favorite spot is lounging on the couch next to foster mom. When not napping, I am active and playful and still very much a kitten. I am also curious and bold and not really scared of new things. Oh, and I really like people and love to have my body stroked and head rubbed.

Ellie is doing wonderfully! She definitely feels right at home here with me. The first few weeks she slept by my side every night. Now, she does her own thing and comes in a few times a night to chase my feet! Shes just so sweet and fun, and loves to play. Sometimes I wonder if she'll ever tire out! Ellie has quite the appetite and tries to convince me she hasn't had her canned food yet, even though she and I both know she has :)

Yes, I just arrived in rescue, but I've been a shelter foster kitten here at the Hotel delShue for a month now. If you are wondering about my name, foster mama says to tell you it is Native American for "little one". You see, when I got here, I was a "little one" and she started calling me by that name, but needed a more exciting name, so she found "Ayashe" - pronounced " eye- ah - she". I like my name and do respond to it already!! I am a beautiful "little one",who will do much better in a home with another "little one" that I can interact with and learn from. I was born to a feral mama and didn't get much early socialization to people, so I will need to be given lots of time and patience and a brother or sister to watch and learn from. Hudson (VA6714) and I are best buddies and love to play and be together. I am always happier when I am with her, so foster mama knows that I need to have a kitten playmate. I learn by watching Hudson play and interact with the family here and am starting to try the things she does and I like it!! I'm learning and growing every day and am a REAL big cuddler and purring machine when I decide that it's time for some love. Be sure to ask about me if you want two kittens in your home. HUDSON
UPDATE: 11/11/09 - I've been here at Hotel delShue for a while, and I['ve taken over. I may be the littlest snowshoe here, but I "rule". I am very vocal (you've gotta love that Meezer yowl), very playful, very cute, very energetic, very sweet, full of purrs and cuddles and just about as sweet as a kitten could be. I love the big cats and when kids come to play with me. You see "I LOVE LIFE and everything about it". And, who wouldn't love my big blue eyes? Go on, hit that "ask about me" button. You won't be sorry. Purrs, Hudson who is still waiting on the "girly girl" name.
Well, I have a name, but you'll have to think up a new one for me. My shelter foster mom and dad couldn't agree on my name - foster dad won. He thought I should be named after the Hudson car since it's hood ornament is an inverted "v" - just like my hood - I mean face ornamentation. Foster Mama thought I looked a bit like Miss Piggy, but what kind of a self respecting kitten would have THAT name. I am an adorable and very precious high white seal point snowshoe kitten who LOVES people. I've been in shelter foster care since I was just two weeks old until today when I came into rescue, so I've been very well socialized. I am a typical busy kitten, but have that cute snowshoe look with a superb personality. OK, OK, adopt me and change my name. I need a "girly, girl" name - what do you think? Headbutts, purrs and kisses from Hudson.

VELO
Just arrived but I'm already settled in, using my cat pan and eating my food. I haven't told meowmy too much about myself yet, but I can't wait for my isolation time to be up so I can play with the two kittens here.
Well I'm out and about and having fun playing. I do poof up and hiss when I first meet a new cat (or kitten) but then I'm ok. Check out my video and new pictures!

KENSEY
I am just a tiny genteel Southern Belle. Very polite and mannerly. I have soft wispy fur that you can brush as often as you like. I love to be held and loved on.
I haven't met the other kitties here except from afar and I don't seem to mind them at all. I met a doggie and didn't even mind that bouncy thing. So ask about me. I want a furrever home real soon.

Kensey is a beautiful cat.We are still in awe of how pretty and interesting she is. She is adjusting well to our home and dog ,Lilly.Kensey has a whole area in our utility room with a cat house, litter box, toys, climbing area and a food/eating area which is verry important to her! She frequently naps on her sheepskin on the washing machine or in her 2 level house. She brings us to her food dish and nuzzles the can as we are opening it . she has quite an appetite still.She also follows us everywhere and will lie or sit nearby at all times. she loves to lie on something under the windows and look out.she has been seen often trying to get the birds or bugs thst go by.She watches us leave from the door and greets us before the dog upon our return.She went to the vet during her first week here and is healthy and gained weight. she still hates traveling in the car.she is playful,curious and nosy.we think she likes living here with us.Our dog has adapted to her better than we thought she would. They are both queen bees but are working on existing together and sharing the same space and us.Lilly is chasing less and Kensey is hissing less.pictures will follow soon. she has been photographed daily since she arrived.

Murphy has done wonderful in his new home! He came right in and made himself comfortable from the beginning. Integrating Murphy with our almost two year old English Cocker Spencer and four year old Tonkinese cat Chessie went smoothly . . . . . . the key was following the instructions of Foster Mom and our Interviewer! They know what they're talking about! Murphy enjoys lounging in the Sun Room and looking out the window. We absolutely LOVE him!

Dear Santa,
Can you believe that Christmas is only a few weeks away? I can't wait till you come on Christmas Eve. Foster mom says that you bring presents to all the good boys and girls. Just so you know, my brother (Joe) and I have been EXCELLENT boys :-)
Foster mom says that you also enjoy cookies. Well, I'm not sure how to make cookies but I'll tell you, I sure make wonderful biscuits. So I'm working real hard on making lots of biscuits for you and your reindeer!

Pyewacket's new name is Pilot. This little guy flies around our house, so we only saw it fitting to name him Pilot (we still call him "Pi" for short of course!). He's the sweetest cat we've ever owned and couldn't ask for better company :) We love his little quirks and how he rubs his chin over every object in sight. We know we made the right decision and are looking forward to many happy years to come with our very entertaining Pilot!
