MALEIGH
Thrown out to fend for myself, adopted by my former owner who didn't spend much time with me, now here in SCRC through no fault of my own.

I desperately need and want love and attention but am unsure of how to act when I get it. Foster Meowm says that it's just a question of a little extra TLC and patience - do you have what it takes ?

I've lived with two small dogs before as well as my brother and am now integrated with the other cats here at Foster Meowm's without a bit of a problem.

Notes from Home
(March 2011) Hmmm, I've done everything in my power to get rid of this descendant of the Flying Wallendas, but he's sticking like glue. So I finally caved and I've begun to tolerate him. I must admit, he's not as bad as when he first came, and he manages to entertain himself so it's like being at the movies. I just follow him around and sit and watch his antics.

And for someone who loves to jump, he's a klutz. Last night, he flew after the wand toy (MY wand toy, no less) and missed the perch, tumbling on to the (very plush) carpet. I think he needs to take a gymnastics class. Maybe our owner will enroll him in something this summer and I can get a break from him.

I'm not sure how he'll act once we're left on our own. He loves to nip but he's learning the value of my claws...eventually, he'll figure out that I rule the roost.

And he found the red ball!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(August 2010) Man, I have no idea what has happened to my nice home. Everything was going pretty good since I arrived - Mocha was such a good sport and he knew to let me have time to get used to everything, and we had just started snuggling and then he vanished. Now I have this Jack-in-the-box creature living here. My goodness, he has a lot of energy! Yesterday I swear he jumped 5 feet in the air. The only good thing is he is about 1/2 my size...

He is pretty annoying. He runs around like a mad cat, pouncing and jumping for about 5 minutes and then he totally crashes in exhaustion. I, on the other hand, conserve my energy so that I can go at it for hours. Maybe he'll learn. Playtime lasts longer when ya don't poop out so fast...these humans get easily distracted and then it's hours till they return. But the owner loves Jack so I guess I'm going to have the figure out a way to adjust. But I'm going to take my sweet ole time, that's for sure! Right now, I can tolerate face-to-face time with the little bugger. Only when he gets up and seems to get ready to dash at me do I hiss. Then the door closes thank goodness. But I have to start immediately pawing under the door so no one forgets me.

At night it's his time in lock-up and then I have an absolute ball. I get to sleep right next to my owner, snuggling alongside or mewing for pets (oh, I do love to be petted, especially on the top of my head and alongside my face! I could lay there forever getting pets. I've even started to ask for them when we're sitting down). And then after a bit, I roam around for a little while, making sure to stop by Jack's door and sniff away. I'm not sure about him. He needs to calm down a bit first.

I still carry my yellow banana everywhere. During the night, I pretend it's my prey, and I wander around mewing through the banana in my mouth. Then I jump up on the bed and drop it right on the pillow next to the sleeping owner. Such a lovely sight in the morning when they wake up.... meow. I love that banana. It was Mocha's but he had grown tired of it. I gave him my little red ball in exchange. Hmmm, wonder where that ball is now. Maybe I'll go and find it now... Jack might like it.

MARCELLO
Well, it's my one week anniversary here at Foster Moms and she says I act like I've been here forever. I don't get upset over anything and I've been through a lot! I had a bath, been treated for a mild shelter cold, had a vet visit. I take everything in stride. Don't sweat the small stuff, I always say. These other two kitties I room with are pretty cool too.

I'm getting something called "neuter surgery" next week so wish me luck on that, whatever that is. I'll be ready for my forever home soon!

Notes from Home
It's been three weeks since we brought Marcello home, and it is like he's been with us forever! He settled in right away. He's made is clear to our dog, Daisy, that "cat's rule, dogs drool" and she seems to agree, so everyone has settled into place :)

Marcello loves to snuggle in his Millie Bed. He is very affectionate and wants attention usually first thing in the morning and then more in the evening. He settles in for a nap in the afternoon, and seems to sleep well at night. He loves to chase after anything we throw on the floor for him ~ wrappers are the best! He loves to be in the MIDDLE of the kitchen in the evening as we cook dinner, just so he can be sure that we're doing it right! He plays with the kids, and he and Leila have a great time during the day when the older kids are at school.

Oh, Kathy, first time he met Lee, he was absolutely fine. They have bonded now :) I have a picture that I'll upload later, of Marcello sitting on Lee's lap on Sunday morning, as Lee read the paper.

Thanks so much for making this adoption possible! We love Marcello and look forward to many years of enjoyment with him. PS ~ Marcello doesn't like to keep his eyes open for pictures, so when I get a good shot, I'll upload photos....coming soon.

ZETA
I like to play, and I'll talk to you all day if you let me. I follow foster meowmy around to make sure she's not lonely, and I'll do the same for you! I'm learning that laps are nice places to get snuggles and I come when called 'cuz foster meowmy always has something fun to do or eat when she calls me.

Ask foster meowmy if you're interested in hanging out with me!

Howdy--Zeta Beta is doing great! I haven't had a chance to swing by the website and upload a pic yet, but I've attached a few pics of her keeping it real. She's my little buddy! She's started this thing where she'll actually chase me if I run from her and swat at my legs with her paws and it's epic funny!

Over Christmas she was able to get my mom's meezer (identified as an only cat), to warm up to her. After a few days they were playing and chasing each other. We'd never seen my mom's meezer be friendly with any other cats, so this was exciting for us.

Thanks for checking in!

MUFFY
Yo, yo, yo! Muffy's in the HOUSE! I'm living large as an inside kitty! You see, I didn't have it so good before I got into rescue. I was found living in a drainage ditch, scrounging for food. I made friends with a nice lady who got me into a shelter and now, at Siamese Rescue at foster mom and dad's!

I love people and will follow you around. I'm not a pest though, just curious! I like to bird watch and hang out with the dogs and sometimes even with the other cats. I just don't like being petted unexpectedly, so no little kids, please!

I've got perfect habits, love everyone, and am eager to be part of a family again!

Notes from Home
I have been with my family for a year and I am loving it!!! I don't see how these humans made it without me. I am the apple of their eyes. I am the cream of the crop. I am Muffy, the Muffster. I still show my bellwee to everyone I adore. Basically, when the front door opens and that door lady says, (beep, beep, beep)....FRONT DOOR. All four legs get lose control causing my beautiful bellwee to up in the air and out for everyone to see.
I love it here and I love my sisfurrs and brofurrs, even the ones that bark.
Thank you to all for helping me find my purrrrrrrrrr-fect match.

POLAR
Are you looking for a playful young boy who is also a sweetheart in the making? Well, then look no more. I'm still a playful kind of guy, love to romp with my fellow foster brothers and play with toys. But I like to be held and petted, too. When Foster Mom takes a nap, I'll sleep with her for awhile. And I'll purr, purr, purr for you. Why not inquire about me today?

Mitzie is such a sweet and lovable little girl - we are so lucky to have her! She has spent the past two months trying to flirt with Casey, our 15 year old seal point Siamese. It's finally paying off ! Casey has decided that she's pretty cute and fun to snuggle with! She chases him around the house and gives him a daily dose of exercise too! She is pretty quiet for a Siamese, except when it's time for food - and then boy does she ever let you know she's ready to eat! She is very affectionate and loves to be with us. She is a great addition to our family!

SWEET PEA
I'm Sweet Pea and I'm so unhappy. I just lost my home and my mommy who is the only human bean I've ever known for the last year and a half. Foster mommy is trying so hard to make me feel at home here but I just want to cry :-( I've got my housemate Bouille here to keep me company. He's trying hard to cheer me up and tell me that everything is going to be okay. I just don't think anything is going to be okay until I someone makes a forever promise to me... I want my own person and my own home and I never want to be given up again. Not ever.

Notes from Home
3/11/10 Sweet Pea is finally settling into our family. She has not nipped or swatted any of us this week. She sleeps next to my husband or myself each night and takes her afternoon nap on our bed. She loves to be petted and purrs sometimes loudly. She is quite independent and sometimes goes off to another room alone. Then, Beau goes calling for her. They run through the house and up and down the stars like a herd of horses. I think it is a game for them. She has jumped onto my lap and sat with me several times, for a short while. She often walks around and between my legs wanting attention. She also loves an open window for bird watching.

7/2/10 Sweet Pea is beginning to relax a little. She is my daughter's shaddow when she is home. When she goes to work Sweet Pea does come downstairs and around us part of the time. The other night my daughter worked over time very late (to 4:00am). My husband got up and saw that she was not home and sat up to wait on her. Sweet Pea walked the floor for over 2 hours. She normally has nothing to do with my husband, and usually scurrys away from him. Sweet Pea is NOT accustion to men. She walks by rubbing me and allows me to stroak her as she passes. Sweet Pea still bites my daughter but not as much and not as deeply. She is a very nervious cat. Her tail is always swishing. Nevertheless, she is imporving. She has made a 4 hour trip to the mountains with lots of family and friends in which she stayed mostly in my daughter's bedrooom. She talks alot during the drive. We had house guest last week and she did come around them a little. Just kind of looking them over and watching Beau interact with them. Sweet Pea has really bonded with my daughter. Sweet Pea and Bouille are fond of one another. They occaionally touch noses or give the other a lick. When Bouille is board and wants to wressal she gives him some hard smacks! They still race through the house and up and down the stairs like horses!

2/21/2011 On the first anniversary of our adoption of Sweet Pea. Sweet Pea has adjusted to our home and household routines. She is very much my daughter's cat. She follows her around the house, up stairs and down. She makes sure Rebecca is up in time to get to work. She will allow me to touch her once in a while, but she still has knowthing to do with my husband. She will run away from both of us when we are just walking by her. She is very high strung, and still bites and scratches my daughter for know known reason. She claims Rebecca's bed at home and at my father-in-laws and dears anyone to make the bed or touch the bed. She like Beau and looks for him. Rebecca said she has seen Sweet Pea kiss him on the head twice. Sweet Pea is no where to be seen when company comes. She stays in Rebecca's bedroom. She loves Rebecca and Rebecca loves her.

Elwood has found a new home for life!! Jim & Bertha are very happy with Elwood - and he has definitely made himself at home. Very inquisitive and playful. Elwood has his new family trained for plenty of playtime and loves to snuggle every evening. If you're sitting for more than 5 minutes, Elwood will find your lap. And if you go anywhere near the den, he know's its PLAYTIME!!

GHILLIE
Foster Mary has decided to mark me "no kids" cuz she fears I might be a door dasher. I showed lots of interest in the front door the day of the big snow storm. Foster Mary said she was testing a theory with me and I might have answered why I was found all alone, outside in the cruel cold world (with no front claws thank you very much to whomever did that - not). I have a keen interest in what lays beyond that door even with a foot of snow on the ground. It's not that I couldn't get along with kids but we know how little kids are when they run in/out of the house.
I am getting along fine with the resident kitties, but if that big tabby boy doesn't stop chasing me up and down the stairs he might find out that I'm as big as him. I find it's easier to simply run away from him.
The girl cats here mind their own business but the little sealie girl here - vavavoom!!!! She's a cutie pie. Too bad she's more than twice my age.
I'm a lover not a fighter. I love people too!

Notes from Home
First two weeks: Theo's name has been changed to Ghillie. He has been a delightful addition to our home. He is enjoying equally well his lap time and nap time. His playtime keeps us entertained as he leaps after his wand toy and rolls around with his balls. It seems he really likes his new humans because he is grooming us, which is endearing.

The most charming of all is, in the early morning when he is very vocal, and pushing his little head into the outstretched hand, demanding a certain touch.

Love this beautiful boy!
