NISHIBI
I'm part of a boxed-set (no pun intended) with my brother Kyoke. We were dumped in a box with no food, no water, no letter, no nothing. All we had was each other and we want to be together if we can. We're carbon copies of each other except for our color. Kyoke is blue and I'm brown. Foster mom says we're like Ying and Yang, like Light and Darkness, like Sunlight and Moonlight. That's why she named us Kyoke and Nishibi...Japanese for Sunrise and Sunset. She says she put alot of thought into our names and told me all about it while she held me for hours last night... She says that you're out there looking for me right now. Looking for both of us. I almost believe her...

Notes from Home
Nishibi and his brother have really settled in, and this is now 'their' house, and they have adopted me. Nishibi is more independent than his brother, Kyoke. At first, Nishibi was afraid of everything. He hid under my bed for 4 days when he first came home, and would hide there whenever someone came into the house, or anything else would frighten him. Now he just hangs out, and not too many things scare him that much. He even stays put and lets me step right over him. For a while he had a little confusion over where he should be peeing, but I got some Feliaway, and he's sticking to his litter box now. He used to let Kyoke be the leader all the time, but now he is more his equal brother. Nishibi likes to play with fingers under the covers, and he always keeps his claws in. He purrs as loud as a jet engine ! Nishibi is a more delicate soul than his brother, and is a little slower to develop, but we are getting closer every day. He is a sweetie pie, and I am so happy he is finally settled in to his new home.

CRYSTAL
She wore bluuuuuuueee velvet. Me? I'm wearing flame velvet! And I am the softest, cuddliest, purringest sack of fur you're going to come across in these parts. Not bad for a little girl who spent her formative months scratching around trash cans in a trailer park. I'm still just a baby, but I've already had lots of stuff done, so I'll be ready to go home pretty quick! No fuss....no waiting! So go ahead and push that little button to ask about me!

Notes from Home
Hi, everyone! I just wanted to let you know that I am living the life of luxury! From scrounging around for food in a trailer park to living the life of ease - a real rags to riches story! I can't thank my Fosters enough for their loving patience to bring me around to becoming a caring, loving, kitten.
I have a "brother" named Silver. It took about six months before we were able to get along. It was really touch and go for awhile. However, we are getting along fabulously now! We watch out for each other all the time.
We have our own sun room with a bed/tree, scratchboards (we love the catnip), and our very own basket of toys. Plus, we get to watch TV, and lay on the couches as well.
Every morning, it is my job to wake mommy and daddy up at 6:30AM on the dot. First, I do a step on, run, dive, jump to wake them up (I really enjoy this). If that doesn't work, then I butt them, purr, and kneed them to wake them up. Finally, I call in reinforcements. Silver jumps up on the bed and meows and tells daddy that is it - it is time to get out of bed.
Daddy gets up and lets us out on the lanai for our outdoors view. Then Daddy feed us. Then our job is to bother daddy all day long. He plays with us and in turn we interrupt everything he does. There is nothing that goes on in this house that we don't know about. Also, anything that enters this house is scrutinized totally by the two of us. It is our domain!
After running around, we lay down for an afternoon nap. Where else? But, on mommy and daddy's bed.
When mommy comes home, we run to the door to greet her and she scoops me up in her arms. She snuggles with me and I know that I am truely loved. Then she plays with me. Then I rest in her lap, while she relaxes from work We hang out in the evening. Later, in the evening, we get special cat treats before we go to bed.
Then we go to sleep together. I get to go to sleep in the big king bed with mommy and daddy (they bought it for us-so that we would all fit). I curl up into a ball or stretch out along their side and rest. Silver guards us at the end of the bed.
We are having a wonderful time and are spoiled rotten! But, we would never let them know that! Thanks for everything you've done!

Yours Truely,

Crystal (FKA) Velvet #VA-4782

Nov. 15
Hi, It has been a week now that Cinderella is in her furever home and I couldn;t be happier with her. She is so sweet and loving with me and everyone else in the house. She didn't meet our other kitty yet but I don't think there will be a problem.
I had her at the Vets this past Friday and he said she was very healthy and pretty. All the girls that work there make a big fuss over her.
She was kind of shy when I first brought her home but she has adjusted very fast. She is sleeping on my lap, purring up a storm. She even sleeps on the bed at night. She loves to play with her toys, especially with the balls, batting them all over the place.
And I want to thank everyone for all their help getting her. I think you all are doing a terrific job.
Thanks again, and will post another time soon. Shirley

Hi,
Well it has been 5 weeks since I have adopted Cinderella and she is just doing so great. She is eating good and she is just a wonderfull kitty. Her and our other cat, Emily are getting along pretty good too. They touch noses sometimes and Cinderella wants to play but Emily just likes to sit and look at Cinderella....lol. Cinderella loves to play. 2 of her favorite toys are the ribbons and the feathers, but I gave her an 2 old shoelaces tied together and she carries it in her mouth up and down the steps. She is so funny with it. She went on her first trip with me to visit my youngest son. He only lives an hour away. She did very well at his house. This was the first time that they seen her since I got her. My 6 year old grandaughter loved her and she was following my son all around the house. They have a lope eared rabbit and Cinderella could'nt figure her out. Their rabbit was almost as big as Cinderella.
I am taking her there again for Christmas as my son that I live with is going to Pittsburgh. I got Cinderella a Christmas stocking with a window to put her picture and I will put her name on it too.
Cinderella likes to sleep on the kitchen chair sometimes. I like when she curls up on my lap while I watch tv. She sleeps on my chair at night.
Well I guess that's all for now. I put some new pictures on too.
Bye, Shirley and Cinderella
Jan. 16,2010
Hi everyone,
I know it's been awhile since I wrote. Well I have Cinderella over 2 months now and she is doing fine. We had a good Christmas, I got her this cute stocking with a window in the front for her picture and she got some treats and some new toys. I got her one of those turbo scratchers with the ball that goes around, she likes it but her favorite toy is some old shoe laces that I tied together and tied a bunch of knots in. She drags it all over with her, it is so funny. She is getting along good with our other cat Emily, they even touch noses once in a while, it is so cute. While we were at my sons house we left their bunny out with Cinderella and she didn't seem to mind. I don't think she knew what the bunny was or maybe she thought it was another kitty. I was a little worried at first but it was ok. Cinderella went into the bunny's cage looking for treats and the bunny was smelling Cinderella's food. My son was here at my house the following weekend with the bunny and both cats didn't pay too much attention to her. Well Cinderella is eating good. Sometimes she sleeps in the bed with me and sometimes on my chair. When I am upstairs watching tv she lays on the bottom of the recliner with me. I am just so happy with her. I still like to go to go on your site and look at the kitty and I see that alot got adopted lately, it makes me happy to see that.
Well that's all for now. I'm putting new pics of Cinderella and friends on.
Bye for now.....Shirley and Cinderella

Just a short update on Cinderella. I couldn't be happier with this sweet kitty. She has given me nothing but joy. Will have her almost 1 year now. Will write more in Nov. Am posting a few new pictures of her, she is one beautiful kitty cat.

May 7, 2011
Well it's been a year and a half that I have Cinderella. She is still such a sweet cat. She is forever washing herself. Her far is so soft and the white fur is like snow. She loves to sleep on my lap and she sleeps in my bed too. She likes playing with Max too. I play with the both cats too. She is eating good. She is a little fussy with the wet food sometimes but loves the dry. That's it for now. Bye

One month that I have Max and things are working out pretty good here with him and Cinderella. They love to chase each other around and sit in the front window and look for birds and squirells.Max loves his milly bed, he takes naps in it and usually sleeps in it at night. He is eating good and using his litter box good too. He is very social with the family. All in all he seems to be a nice gentle cat. I will be taking him to the vets for a check up soon. He seems very healthy so far.

I have Max almost 8 months now. He is doing great. He loves to sit on my lap and some times he sleeps in my bed. He likes to get up by my face. He loves to play. Him and Cinderella love to chase each other around. He is eating good, both wet and dry food, he not very fussy. It's kind of weird but he doesn't make any sounds, no meowing, no purring but he is still a sweet cat. Going to give him a bath soon, hope he likes it. I will put some pictures of him on now. Well thats all for now until next time. Bye

5/1/2011 We have selected a new, unique name for Maple who now goes by Kyra. She has been a lovely addition to our family and we could not be more excited to have rescued such a wonderful kitten. Kyra has a great personality, intellect, and certain spunk. She loves to play, run around the house, follow us around to see what we are up to, and sneak up on us when we least expect it. I love how Kyra is the perfect companion with her playfulness and compassion. Currently, we are still working on keeping her off the tables, but she is learning quickly! Kyra came to us very well trained and only took a couple days to warm up and learn her new environment. She has become very comfortable and a pleasant addition--she is just so cute!

GUIDO
Foster mom says I shoulda been named Teddy instead of Guido 'cause I'm just a big ole cuddly teddy-bear! I'm handsome, sweet, soft, happy, playful, loving and just as good-natured as they come. I've got nice manners and my litter-box habits are perfect - I'd get along with just about anybody, just give me some lovin' and I'll be purring my way into your heart.
Only thing I don't like is dogs - big or little, doesn't matter, they're just not my cup of tea. But hey, who needs a dog when you've got a handsome hunk like me to keep you company? C'mon, I know my family's out there - I'll even do my best Elvis imitation and sing
Oh let me be
Your teddy-bear!!!

Guido will be celebrating 4 years with us in May. He has been a wonderful addition to our family. He is still a big teddy bear. He loves to supervise all of our activities. We wake up and find him sleeping in between us, on his back with all four paws in the air. We are so thankful that we adopted from you.

AUGGIE
Ok so I am a slilly goofy boy. Foster Mom laughs at me all the time. But I still love to snuggle in bed. I have a great purr and I love to play play play so don't delay. Ask about me! I need my furever home soon!

Notes from Home
Auggie has been with us for two weeks now and he is starting to get into his routine. He does like to talk when his food is being prepared but not much more after that. He really likes to play with the wand toys that were sent home with him. Auggie likes to chase it, so my daughter will run through the house with it dragging behind her.
He is eating real good and he definitely likes to drink a lot of water. We're just trying not to feed him too much, but it is hard sometimes when he wants more. The vet said he is one big healthy boy and that he didn't see any problems with his health. We are very pleased we our new addition to the family.
Auggie will go and hide when the kids give him too much love though, but he hasn't hissed or scratched at them. Just runs away and hides under the bed.
We will add some pictures shortly. tried adding pictures but my antivirus software keeps blocking it. I will try from a different computer.
Auggie is still doing great.

Notes from Home
Flame is doing great. She is very loving, gives us kisses all the time. Michael was right, she never sees a stranger. My youngest son met her for the first time tonight and within 10 seconds she was in his arms being petted.
She sleeps with me, but absolutely loves to play with my granddaughter. String is by far her favorite toy. We just don't know what we did without her. One thing that she did from the beginning was taking naps beside her food and water bowl. She is gradually giving this up since she knows those items will always be here for her. It makes us wonder how she must have hunted for food and water while on the street. It makes us sad to think of her there on the streets, but we are giving her all our love and spoiling her rotten. She has tolerated her food very well. No vomiting or refusal to eat. No problems whatsoever with the litter box. Her points are a little darker and she is filling out nicely. We think she is the most beautiful Siamese in the world! And certainly the sweetest. She wakes me up wanting to play string which is often wrapped around my head! She will lick my face and pat it gently with her paws and give me nose rubs until I wake up. And, often through the day , she will jump in my lap and do the same. I am delighted with your adoption process and your attention to detail. If we decide to adopt another Siamese, I would definitely go through Siamese Rescue.

DOLCE
Hi,

I joined the family here! A little more fur around than I am use too but I sure feel like an in-betweener....there's the geezers and then there are the kittens. I want to play and be active but of course I'm not really a tiny baby -- on the other hand the old cats are a bit boring and dull for me.

Right now I'm sort of sitting on the fence in observation. No one picks on me so I'm doing well. I had to sniff down the entire place of course and stake out my sleeping accomodations and I chose foster mama's computer chair. I told her she needs to spend less time in it anyhow :)

Wouldn't mine being the apple of your eye...the center of your universe...but if you must I could stand another easy going kitty. I have been the victim kitty in the past and that was no fun at all...and us girls do wanna have fun!

Love,

Dolce

PS I was given up due to kids allergies--I wasn't a bad girl..and we do know my age and history.

Hi, Dolce and I are doing very well. She is the sweetest cat and is fast becoming a lap cat. She does love to play and is having fun exploring my house. She is eating very well and doing all her business where she is supposed to. I am taking her to the vet on thurs as agreed in the adoption agreement. She also loves to be out on the lanai watching the butterflies and the bees in the flowers. Thank you once again for making all this possible and she is certainly helping me righy now. Olive. Took Dolce to the vet on Thurs and she has a clean billof health. Love her to pieces. Olive. 11/23 We are doing great and enjoying each other. She has settled down very well. Olive. This is a wonderful anniversary for us. We really have not had any problems although she was very jumpy at first. This is much better as she trusts me now. She is a great cat and has helped me get my life in order. She is very social with people but not with other animals especially with cats. Not surprising cinsidering her history. Thank you for putting us together. Olive.
