Notes from Home
Dear Meezer Friends,

The "kids" have been with us for two weeks now; but they have so taken over our house, our friends, and our lives that you would think they have always been here. The "Meezer Express " folks will be glad to know that they stopped their continuous singing quite soon after they got home. Of course, they still like to talk but not all the time! At first they would only stay downstairs--sleeping on their Millypillows, but now they roam about the whole house as proud owners.

We were afraid that Lucy would be a picky eater from all that we had heard; but let me tell you she has a voracious appetite now. She even ate a piece of gorgonzola cheese that fell on the floor before I could pick it up! She sleeps in Albert's bed every night and likes to watch out the window, especially for passing bunnies and birds!

Her brother is still "Mr. Personality" who wants to sit on your lap and purr. He often comes into my bedroom to get a nap, but ends up going into Albert's room so that he can cuddle up with his sister. While Lucy loves her new name and reponds to it, we found that Angelo was not coming for Luke or Lucas--probably as your website suggests, the "U" sound was too close to Lucy. So we were in a quandry: what to call him? Then we decided that we should name him for the brother of another famous Lucy. So now he proudly responds to the name Linus.

Linus and Lucy are very cheerful; they both love to play, eat, and be with people. They know our routine. When my alarm goes off at 5:30 am, they both jump out of Albert's bed and run to the door of my room.If I don't get up fast enough, Linus jumps on top of me to let me know that they want their breakfast! They both escort me downstairs and stand on their hindlegs (looking like otters) while I clean their dishes and then serve their meal. Only then can I make my coffee!

Papa John (with greetigs from Albert , Lucy, and Linus)

CARENA
I'm starting to settle in a bit but I'm still very cautious when it comes to people. Foster mom thinks someone may have been mean to me because I always try to run away from her, but once she starts to pet me I knead and purr up a storm. With my trust issues I'll need a family that's okay with giving me lots of time to be comfortable in my new home. Because change is so scary for me, MY TRANSPORT IS LIMITED TO FLORIDA.

SPARTACUS
I have the sniffles but still full of love.Well I am a big boy at 15lbs. Foster Mom says I am the biggest cat she has seen in a long time but hey I am not fat, just long and muscular. I really like my food and I love people. I think some people are scared of me because of my size but I am just a big baby. Watch for more about me.

MIA
Already showing foster mom my loving side. Hard to believe when at seven months my four kittens and I were turned into the shelter. Sick and way too young for motherhood I was very lucky that someone found us and took care of all of us. Now I am ready for a new home that foster mom tells me will be so much better than I had before. Thanks to Siamese Rescue and two foster Angels I am safe.

Notes from Home
Rana (now called Mia) traveled great. She was very calm throughout the long trip. She seems very happy. She's been busy exploring her initial room and took time away from that to eat and give our son Brodie a headbutt. She also found one of her toys to start playing with.

Updated - Mia is fitting in just fine. She's a healthy eater and very curious. Best of all, she loves our son and follows him around the house. Mia is very affectionate and loves attention.

Linda and I would like to thank everyone from the Siamese Cat Rescue Center for their help and support. With their help, we found a wonderful cat that seems to fit our family very well.

SERA
After 8 years of devotion, they took me to the shelter! But rescue angel Joanne was there, and said that I was too nice a girl to stay there. So here I am! Yes, I'm a tortie - but I'm a *nice* tortie. I'll roll over and let you pet my belly, and purr if you look at me. I use my box like a good girl. The person who brought me to the shelter said I was good with kids, cats, and dogs. Foster mom can't promise yet about the kids and cats, but when I stayed with Joanne I got along fine with her doggies, so that part is true.

Take a look at my new pictures - am I the sweetest thing you have ever seen, or what?

Hi guys!

Weasley is getting in to the routine and is having a blast climbing our large cat chair. He’s not too fond of getting brushed but he’s coming around. We keep Egypt and him separated if we are not home for long periods and some evenings when they seem to had tried from each other. They are fine eating in the same area and have fallen asleep next to each other many times now! I have added some picture for all to see.

Thanks, Leila & fam

Notes from Home
Dear Meezer rescue, I love my forever family so much! I have the bestest napping spots in the whole world. I love my furry family too! My big brother and sister love me so much we nap together all day too. I am learning my manners, but still do not understand why I cannot eat at the table. I have been spending a lot of time on moms lap lately because she has been studying. She is going to take some big test about a cat, MCAT is what she calls it. I guess that is like a real cat. I do not know why she is worrying she has the cat thing down. I should know I spend hours during the day in her lap while she studies. When she is thinking too hard, I jump down and bite her toes very gently to let her know it is time for a break....and maybe a kitty treat! We have like a million toys here and I must play with them all! When dad is home I get to sleep on his shoes while he works. I love feet. I love shoes...except when the shoe steals my squirmil then the shoe must pay! When dad takes his shoes off I stick my whole head inside....oh I love the smell! I do not know why mom calls me a crazy cat. I love my forever family and they love me. My eyes are all better now too cause I have the best doctor in town. Sometimes in the middle of the night I will go to each of my humans and lick them on the nose one by one before I go to sleep. Life is good!

SALLY
Sally bo-fally-fi-fie-fo-fally-SALLY!

Foster mom has already started singing to me and I LIKE IT! OK, so she can't carry a tune in a bucket, but it's the attention that I really like. I want you to watch me eat, pet me, and give me a LOT of attention. Are you ready for Meezerly LOVE?

Sally, aka, Sally Cat or Kitty, took about a year to warm up. But it's only been in the past few months that she finally has become a "lap cat". That is, she will walk onto my lap and stay there for about 15 minutes. She's a sweetie - very low key, very good manners.

IKA
Seeking Siamese-savvy adopter! Meezer prince seeks new home where I will be adored and pampered as I deserve. I'm gorgeous, with big, dark blue eyes, but I will need time to learn to trust you. I'm very sensitive to change, so preferably no long transports.

I've had so many changes lately. My meom, who'd had me all my life and really spoiled me, married someone whose allergies are so severe, he couldn't breathe and I couldn't stay, so I went to live with her meom. Her two cats ganged on me, so everyone agreed it would be best for me to pack all my food and toys and hit the road to Rescue.

Please tell me my traveling days are over! This big, handsome sealy boy wants to be your one and only. You won't need anyone else!

Notes from Home
2011-05-21 - It's been over five years and I'm happy as a clam. I love Mreommy and like to curl up on dad's flannel PJ's. I don't like seeing mreom dressed for work. One night I even told her uh-oh when I saw she had her uniform on. She always comes back though so I guess it's OK.

KYOKE
Cat-in-the-box. That's how my brother and I started out. We were dumped in a box beside a busy road at a vet's office. No letter, no history, no names... Foster mom has named us Kyoke (that's me) and Nishibi (that's my brother). It mean's 'sunrise and sunset' in Japanese. She says we are the most gentle, sweet, well-behaved little guys and that some lucky person's sun will rise and set on our being in their lives. I think she loves us....but I hope she's right.

Nishibi and I would like to stay together. He's a little more shy than me and really depends on me to show him that everything is going to be okay.

Notes from Home
Kyoke and his brother have really settled in, and this is now 'their' house, and they have adopted me. Kyoke is so lovable and adorable and playful. He loves to follow me around the house, and stays with me while I work all day, sleeping on my desk. At night, he sits in my lap when I watch TV. Kyoke is very protective of his territory. One day a stray kitty came in the back yard and was staring into the sunroom glass door. Kyoke kept lunging and banging into the glass and meowing, trying to scare the other kitty away ! He is cuddly and sweet, but he can be ferocious when he feels threatened. Kyoke is growing up and we are getting to know each other better every day. He is a wonderful kitty companion.
