CAESAR D MEEZER
UPDATE 4/12/11 Well I've had my education and I am being interpurgrated! Not too many purrs to start off with, more hisses and swats, well I'm trying to be brave and I'm doing a great job at it right now! Don't worry I did not ruin my nails they were firmly hidden when swatting them. Foster Mum said I biffed the dog faster than Ali could have however the woofer and I are now friends. I do like to run and chase the other resident cats if they let me too but they get away very quickly! One growled at me, so I back away from him, I think he is the "man" around the house so I am showing respect for him!

Loving this freedom to run and play.

Caesar

Hi I'm Caesar D Meezer.

Foster Meowmy called me Caesar as she wanted a name I would grow into to be big and strong. Right now I'm very shy and not telling her much about me. She said that was alright and to take my time to get some confidence and she thinks I've been through a lot, boy have I!!! You see I flinch when human hands come near me, although after 3 days at Foster Meowmy's house I'm starting to get a little better.

More soon as I settle in.

Caesar seems to be doing very well. He and LBK are up close and sniffing each other as opposed to passing four feet away and hissing. I don't think it will be long before they are playing with each other. Caesar travels well and has been to Maine once and will be going back this long weekend. I am not very savvy getting pictures onto the internet, but will try as I have a great picture of Caesar and LBK sitting together in the window watching the chipmunks in Maine. He has unfortunately found my hummingbird feeder in the window and jumps up when he sees one and scares them away, but we can forgive him for that.

RUM TUM
Hi there! Just arrived with my Mom, Mama Suzie. I'm quite fond of her, mind you, so we'll need a home together. I would be totally lost without Momma! We're not sure why, but we ended up in a shelter through no fault of our own when our person turned us in without any explanation. I caught quite a nasty cold in that noisy place, but I'll be feeling better soon and purrrring away! Don't wait though, go ahead and ask bout me (and don't forget Mama Suzie)!

Notes from Home
Well, as I said on Jenny's page, first I apologize for being so tardy in reporting on Tugger's one-month update!
I have no excuse, so won't bore you with that!

RumTumTugger (formerly Little Sam) isn't little at all any more! He has caught his mom up in size and surpassed her by far! He is larger than she is, a creamy-colored, sleek young gentleman! He is slowly getting over being timid about venturing over the gate into the rest of the house where the dogs (shudder) are. Tugger has his brave days, more and more he braves the doggy wild in the living room, kitchen and dining room. Vinny, the standard poodle just doesn't realize his size and enthusiasm can be daunting! I keep watch on him pretty carefully. Vinny likes to sit or lie and watch for Tugger to venture over the gate, but sometimes falls asleep. Tugger slips quietly out and explores, but Vinny's excellent nose detects Tugger-scent even in his sleep! Tugger then zooms around to the cat tree or hides under the desk until Mom comes to referee. Vinny gets lots of time-outs in the back yard, really short ones if it is too hot, but I think he gets the picture. Tugger is getting braver every day, I think he's realizing slowly that he's not as little as he used to be! One evening, I went to give the kitties their suppers and found Tugger lying in the hall staring Vinny in the eyes, just inches from each other. They sniffed noses and then each made tracks in opposite directions as if they couldn't stand to be seen making friends!! What a hoot!

Tugger really loves it when I choose to get online in the bedroom, then he and Jenny "help" me type and they like to play with the mouse, too! They get very silly, playing with their toys, chasing each other around the room -- Zoom to the dresser -- Zoom under the bed -- Zoom into the bathroom, slide on the tiles -- jump on the counter, pounce on each other (or me). I think under the bed has become Tugger's Man Cave. He is always under there when it all gets too much for him. He has a cache of toys there and often a sock or two which he loves to filch from the laundry - dirty or clean, he doesn't discriminate! When I can't find him anywhere else, he's under the bed -- sometimes fast asleep!

I could go on all night! But just want to thank everyone who helped these darlings become part of my life! I just can't imagine life without them now! They are just delightful!

I'll try to get some pics on here soon!

JENNY
Oh hi there! I know, not a very flattering picture. Foster dad promises new ones soon. My son (Little Sam) and I were turned in to a noisy, crowded shelter by our previous person with no explanation why. We're taking some time to adjust and get over a really bad cold, but we'll be ready to go soon! I am quite fond of my son, so we do need to go together, but if you have room for two super-sweet, loving, purring meezers, ask about me (and Sam, too)!

Notes from Home
First, I must apologize as I see my one-month anniversary reminder for updates was this past March!! Operative word there is past!

Jenny has just about taken over running our house. That is by no means a complaint! When it comes to the dogs, she is just FEARLESS!! I have gotten a really good gate so Jenny and her no-longer-little son RumTumTugger (Tugger for short) have a place to take a breather from the dogs. Jenny leaps over the 41" high gate like it's not really there. She wanders the house at will and delights in swatting Vinny, the standard poodle through the slats of the back of the straight chair. She head butts and body rubs Punkin, the little rat terrier, who isn't quite sure if she likes it or not, but doesn't chase her, either.

Jenny's favorite thing is to confound the dogs and then make tracks for me. If I'm in a chair with or without the computer in my lap, she leaps up and gives me kisses and then looks over to see if the dogs have followed her. Vinny doesn't chase her any more because she simply refuses to run -- thereby spoiling the chase. Is she smart or what? She lies down on the kitchen floor if I'm in there and I could swear she is daring either of the dogs to make a move toward her.

She loves to slip into the entertainment center and prowl around the VCR which is on a shelf by itself. There's enough room on each side for her to curl up and watch everything. Jenny is not one to be still for long, though. She loves to go to the top of the cat tree and have a leisurely wash and a nap. It's especially fun when Vinny wants to play and she can ignore him, making him bark which makes Mom (me) tell him "Quiet" followed by a squirt from the water bottle if he keeps on.

Jenny shares the dog bed in the living room with Punkin usually, Vinny seems to have issues with being seen to cuddle/share a bed with a cat (horrors!). I've seen Jenny walk up to the dog bed, hesitate, and Punkin will get up and let her have it all to herself! They do nap together sometimes, cute as a button! I'll try to get some pictures of that soon.

So, the Master bedroom and bath chez Jenny is sort of a Cat-Suite with maid service and private bath!! They both love their Fancy Feast and always have dry food available. So far, no accidents -- no on-purposes either. Hahaha!

Jenny is a delight and I can't imagine life without her and Tugger!

Thanks for all you do there at SCRC, and thanks for bringing these darlings into my life!

JASPER LINC
Well Turkey Day has passed and I guess no more turkey here for a while... darn! Foster mom did make a wish on that special turkey bone for a home for me. I'm just waiting here for you to 'pick me". . I am a purr machine and I LOVE other cats, and food! Well, food is my thing as you can see from my tummy. If you have a buddy kitty for me or even a few, I will be in heaven! Got some patience to let me settle in and get comfortable... well you've got the right Lynx Boy. I know, I know... I am not the typical meezer, but boy do I have the prettiest blue eyes and gorgeous markings.

I sure would love to find my furever home. Signed Linc the Brave

Notes from Home
Well Jasper aka Linc has made himself at home over the past 6 months. He has adjusted extremely well. He sleeps most of the day away but every evening he emerges from his cat bed or from under my bed with a long stretch...some cat food and he is ready to be social. He loves to look out the windows being that we moved up a few floors and he has a view made for king errr a siamese. His brother Jinga is normally not far away and they wrestle and play. He was such a shy boy when he arrived and is still skitish around guests. The one time which he is not shy at all is when there is steak or milk present.

The funniest story I have heard is when my cat sitter was here on my list trip. Both kitties came out...sat 3 foot from him and just stared for 20 minutes at him while he watched tv on my couch.

Japser is definately found his furrever home!!

JEREMIAH
My name is Jeremiah and I am looking for my Furrever home. I am the sweetest boy you will ever meet. I love to be pet and I love giving head butts to give you a better look at my big blue eyes. I know many of you are afraid of stepping on a tail, especially early in the morning before the coffee, well I am the perfect solution, I am a natural Bobtail. Foster mommy says she will get new pictures up soon, some that show off my cute Bobtail. So if you want a gorgeous sweet loving boy ask about me!

Notes from Home
Jeremiah is now starting week 3 with us, and the results are mixed. He is one of the most affectionate, fun-loving cats I have known, and he is a joy to have around. His little bump of a tail is endearing, and even his tendency to scarf up all visible food can probably be traced to hard days during the period before he entered rescue. All in all, I am thrilled to have him here; my other two cats, both much older, not so much...However, I think with patience we will beome a unified home. Jeremiah had made himself at home and that is what is important.

VIOLET
Hello, I'm Violet and I'm pleased to meet you. I am what you could call a blue point snow shoe. Meowmy says I'm a good girl, as I always use my litter box neatly and eat up all my food. I met the other cats here, and I like them but they hiss and growl at me, so I'd like to have nice fur companions that won't pick on me.

I also love to get petted and loved on and love to play with my toys. Will you have toys for me?

Purrs,
Violet

Notes from Home
Violet is the sweetest lump of kitty we've ever seen. We call her our fainting kitty because she falls on the floor at our feet ALL the time. She loves to be carried around the house. Even more, she loves to entice her big brother Skate into a game of tag. She's home, and she knows it. Yay!

SKATE
I don't know why Skitch thinks he is number one just because he has first spot on the web site. Look! I am at the top of the cat tree. I have just as many fans as he does and my adoption fee has a full ride scholarship as well. I just need someone that understands me. I need a kitty playmate and lots of patience. Too much activity scares me unless I am the one to initiate it. Aren't I handsome?

Notes from Home
Skate is a completely different fellow than when we first brought him home. His coat is shiny and soft. He gets into my lap for daily snuggle sessions and spends time socializing with us. His absolute favorite place is lounging on the back of the sofa in the screened porch where he can bask in the sun, and watch the bird and squirrel activity. Siamese Rescue did an awesome job matching him up with his sister Violet; they absolutely adore each other and take daily naps sleeping in each other's arms. We just adore these two!

MAGILL
I'm new to this Rescue thing, so bear with me. I'm a little stressy right now, too many changes, and next I hear I have to go for some tutoring at the vet. I'm told things will settle down after that happens, so stay tuned for more information week's end when I'm feeling a little calmer!

Wow been a month. Magill is doing wonderfully. Him and big sister Ling are getting along fine. They are even sleeping together now. I have pictures to proove it even. LOL. He has been a great addition to the family. Thanks, Edie, Jim, Ling and Magill

Magill is doing well now after getting over his kitty-cold. He is eating well. He and his sister Ling are having fun playing cat-tag all around the house. :-) There haven't been any issues with them getting along so far except with making sure Ling doesn't eat Magill's food if he leaves any behind. Magill really likes my husband Jim and likes to sit beside him which is great. Magill also loves to sleep with us at night. So all is good in the Lewis household of 2 cats now. New pictures have been added.

7/19/10 - Magil is doing GREAT. Him and Ling are getting along like they were born togehter. love chasing each other and then falling asleep together. Never knew how much fun it was with 2 cats. I'll never have just one again. New pictures have been added.

10/10/10 - 6 months has flown by. Magil is doing good. Typical Meezer, very vocal, mischevious boy. Him and Ling still getting along well. New pictures added.

06/23/11 - Anniversary time...it's been a year since we adopted Magil (MacDaddy,SillyGilly). Him and Ling are doing great. He's as mischevious as ever and likes his high places. New pictures have been added. Edie and Jim

LING LING
Looking for a good way to stretch your entertainment dollars? Forget renting movies or dragging out all those old board games -- check out my video and then click on 'Ask About Me'. I am one entertaining meezer and keep everyone here laughing at my antics. I'm quite the conversationalist with my soft and chirpy voice, very interactive and love to be involved in all that goes on in this household, so I don't think anyone who appreciates a Siamese personality could possibly be disappointed.

Notes from Home

2/20/10 Happy Caturday everyone. I've been with my new furmaly for 9 months now and I love them to pieces. My furmommy is the bestest. She feeds me and lets me knead her tummy and sleep on her at night. We play play play all the time. She chases me around the house and even lets me jump and scare her from the closet. LOL. I gets to lay wherever I want to but I can't get on the counters, well unless Meowmy and Daddy aren't home but SHHHH that's our secret. I like to help her type sometimes on this computer thingy cause I don't like when she is on it and not playing with me. I am so glad that Aunt Siri and Uncle Darrell gave me to my new furmaly. Happy Paw Dance everyone. Ling-Ling (I have new pictures too)

5/9/10 Almost a year now. I have a new little brother and he is okay as far as brothers go. I get to play tag with him and he doesn't bug me too much. But when Mom isnt' looking I smack him around and then make pretend he started it. ;-) what are sisters for but to get you in trouble. I do let him sleep with me once in a while... just to make Mom happy. Happy Paw Dance Ling

5/22/10 Anniversary time... May 30th will be a year since we adopted Ling Ling. She has grown so much and is such a delight. Wonderful Meezer. Another new pic of her and Magill has been uploaded. Thank so much for our fur-daughter. Edie and Jim

6/23/11 anniversary time.... May 30th was two years already. Ling (lingerding, lingersnitzle, Ms FurryPurry) is doing great. I have uplodated some new pictures of her and Magil. Edie and Jim

BEIJING BLAZE
Where oh where is my forever home? It seems that no one is ever going to take a good look at me. I am a handsome flame point cat.with a great personality. Aren't you looking for a kitten like me?

No new pictures yet
Notes from Home
6/22/2011- Blaze is AMAZING!!! He has so much personality. Every time I pass him, he reaches out to touch me- a pat on the ankle, etc. He has also taught Bandit the art of "Liberating" things; both boys are highly skilled! Blaze likes to dart outside for a few deep breaths of fresh air any time the front door is opened. Luckily he doesn't go far, just a few feet. He is such a sweet baby. We are blessed with these two handsome charmers!

Blaze is growing like a weed. He is sleek and sinewy- all muscle! He's known as the liberator. If something is missing, most likely, Blaze "liberated" it and is batting it around on the floor. He is motivated by kitty treats! He was the one to figure out that treats fell out of the cat toy (dispenser), and he's the one who lead Bandit onto the table in order to get at the treat package. His name fits him too. He "blazes" through the house at lightening speed! All this energy and, he's a love too!

Blaze has been a wonderful addition to our family! He is so handsome and regal. He loves to run and chase his brother, Bandit. He's so fast; he rockets through the house! Blaze loves to play with the glittery crinkle balls. He also loves treats!!! Blaze wouldn't sit still for his Christmas photo either; he thought the hat was a toy! We photographed him while he cat-napped! We love our boys!
