THAI
Just arrived, had a bath and nail trim and now meowmy says I need to just sleep, eat, play and grow big enough to go to my forever home. I should be finished with all my vetting by July 18 so that's aproximately when I'll be ready to go home.
My personality is starting to reveal itself and though I like to be petted, I am very shy and meowmy has to "dig" me out from under the Millie bed so she can pet me. I think I'd be happiest in a home that is quiet with just another nice cat or kitten for company.

Meowmy said she'd try to find me that kind of forever home.

Notes from Home
Thai is doing great. He is enjoying the California lifestyle. He and Fiji saw the Pacific Ocean for the first time Christmas 2012 in Santa Barbara. I like to take them places in their pet stroller or for walks in our neighborhood. Everyone who sees Thai, falls in love with him. Not only is he a stunning seal point, but he is so sweet, friendly, and affectionate. Even "dog people" can't help but love him. He really is the best cat. I am so grateful to Siamese Rescue for doing what they do and letting me adopt such a wonderful Siamese.

Thai is doing great. He has a little brother, Tajo now. I foster for Siamese Rescue in CA. Tajo was one of my foster kittens.

DAO
Outstanding in my field, I'm a number one snowshoe boy who is just wonderful - easy going, fun, mature enough not to be crazy, but still playful and silly! I am very neat in my habits and prefer dry food only. (told you I was easy!) And if paired with a lady friend, she should be playful and confident!

Dao is doing great he is a love bug for sure. Here is a picture of him hunting down a moth last night.
6/13/2014, He loves to watch the critters run across the desk to the feeders, and belly rubs.
6/23/2014 Dao Met Danu this weekend they did nose kisses several times, he has a crush on her but she is playing hard to get, I don't see any problems.
7/1/2014 Here is a picture Dao hanging out in his Kitty City, look he is waving HI.
1/7/2015 Happy new year to the great moms. Dao (Buddy Love ) is doing awesome, He is just a great little friend that loves to hang with me.
9/29/2015 Hi Folks, just uploaded some new picture of Mr Buddy (Dao). He is still such a joy to have around. Keep up all the good work you guys and gals do.

Buddy (Dao) and his Girl Friend Matilda.

7/24/2018 Buddy (Dao) Still is the best cat in the world, some times I think he is a dog. He is never to far away from me. As he gets older he is turning into a cuddle bug. When I get home from work he comes out to great me and tells me all kinds of story's about his day, he has become very vocal in his old age. I just set up fish tank and he enjoys watching the fish swim around. I love my Buddy , and he loves me. best cat ever. I'm very thankful.

8/25/2016 Buddy has his 2 nd check up wit the vet, he is very healthy and 3 pounds over weight so we have a year to lose that i'm going to diet with him. He likes his dry food. Buddy has had a nice summer laying on the deck in the sun and talking to the birds, he's even been camping 4

times.

Hi all
Dao AKA Buddy Love is doing great, he has e new girlfriend 16 month old Darla she is a Lynx Siamese. They get along great and it was true love from the start. She has helped Buddy lose the extra pound he had put on, by playing. I'll post some pictures. Buddy has his next vet visit in august and he will be getting his shots. I can't say how thankful I'am to have him in my life. He is the best cat and friend ever.

SAKE
Hello - why am I not on pending yet??? I'm purrfect in every way (well, except for my lack of boundaries with adult cats), so please ask about me today!

Requirement - must be placed with an active feline playmate who will enjoy games of chase and wrestling! Not good with older cats who don't want to be ridden like a horse or stalked like a mouse!

Update: 10/28/10
Sake is growing into a big boy. He is great with his baby sister Suki. He loves to clean her all of the time. They play together running around the house. He thinks he is the boss of the house, but Suki knows she really is the boss!!!!!
Sake loves to eat, eat, and eat. He would eat everything if I would let him. His belly is getting a little too round. He loves to rub and nudge my dog April. She doesn't want anything to do with him though.
Sake is a great cat and we love him dearly.

Sake is fitting extremely well into our family. He is just perfect for us. Thank you for helping us adopt him. Everyone did a fantasic job with him. Three days after we adopted him (7/27) he even crawled up onto my husband's lap and fell asleep!!!
We couldn't ask for a better fit for our family.

7/24/18
Here it is 8 years later and we couldn't ask for a better cat. Sake is wonderful and is a loving boy. He is very affectionate and loves people.

MICKEY
I am a great big hunky talkative seal point at 17 pounds, and yes, I need to lose a little belly fat! I eat wet food only so that should help, and I've had my dental and bloodwork done and all is good! I would love to be the only cat, and if so, I act just like a dog, following you everywhere; talking, leg rubbing and loving attention. I like to be brushed, I'm tolerant of that bouncy dog (though if she gets too bouncy I give her a little smack), and I'm always happy to see you! I am not minding crazy Prudence so I could probably be matched with a young playful gal with a little integration effort.

Notes from Home
Wellness visit & met new doctor this morning. He was his usual laid back curious best - charmed doctor & other staff. His weight was 13.11 lbs - the doctor would like to see him lose a pound & will check him again the first week in October. Had his back claws clipped - didn't care for that. Have been feeding him 1/2 a 3 oz can of food breakfast & dinner - plus about 1/3 cup Blue Wilderness non grain dry food, as he likes to graze a little. When the doctor left the exam room to get something, Mickey found a way to open the pocket door & head into the back room! We're loving him! 8/23 Mickey definitely is a keeper! He is so friendly-really likes George. He hasn't jumped up on his lap yet, but seems to be contemplating it. He jumps up on my lap, but I can see he has not been a lap cat. We sit next to each other on the sofas mornings & in the evenings. He naps all afternoon - has 3 isolated hiding places for this. He is quite food focused - give him 1/2 of a small can morning & evening. He also gets just over 1/4 cup Blue Wilderness diet dry food. New doctor thinks he should lose about 1 pound, but he seems hungry all the time. Also got some freeze dried chicken & give him a couple pieces twice a day - he loves it. He is totally not interested in the nice big bed he came with - I've thought of putting ity in 1 of his hiding places, but afraid he wouldn't appreciate that. He gets brushed every morning - not getting as much fur as when he first came here. He has thrown up 2 or 3 times after eating his canned food - I suspect it's because he gobbles too fast.9/30/16 Mickey went to the doctor to be weighed & have his claws clipped (he had started scratching a couple weeks ago (had not had that problem prior). The vet tech had to put a towel over his head & take him in the back - I could hear his very loud terrified cries from where I was in the exam room. He tried to bite & scratch! Bad news on the weight - on 8/2 jhe was 13 lb 11 ozs - today it is 14 lb 11 oz. They recommended only 1/4 of a 3 ounce can at breakfast & dinner. I had been giving 1/2 of the can at each meal. Also cut back on the Iams grainfree dry food to just under 1/4 cup overnight. He seems to always be hungry - this will not be pleasant. He is not very active.. 1/23/2017 After 6 months we are still in love with Mickey! He loves to be where we are & clings like a leech mornings after the 2 of us get up at 7 & after he has his breakfast. He is off dry food totally because it makes him throw up. (And I bought the good no grain stuff - Blue and Iams) He saw the doctor December 1st with ear infections & had drops in both ears for a week - no problems since. Back to 13 1 on weight & still needs to lose a pound I like him just the way he is though. He has 3 1/4 ounces of Sheba canned food daily, but still seems hungry all the time even though I try to feed him 5 times a day at 3 hour intervals. If it goes beyond 3 hours, he gobbles & regurgitates. He does not like to have his claws clipped & the doctor had done it twice & the last time I did it with a toenail clipper. I can tell when clipping needs to be done because he will start to scratch the furniture. His Papa was in hospital and nursing home for just under 4 weeks last month - Mickey was kind of depressed & looked all over for him - made me question whose cat he was! During that time he started sleeping with me - maybe to keep me company. Before that he had been my only cat who didn't sleep with me - now I find his big furry body tucked up against my chest all night long. He has become a lap cat too & loves being the center of attention. When we have visitors he is right there making friends - he is the coolest cat ever! The videos from him at the shelter showed him with a banana so I ordered 1 for him & put it in his Christmas stocking - oh how he loved it & it's full of claw & tooth marks, plus all the sides are dark from licking it. I got 1 for a friend's cat also - same results. Magic banana!! I still feel very lucky that Mickey was looking for a new mom when I was looking for a new (old) cat - he will be 12 years old in February. 5/15/2017: Mickey had his yearly exam & booster shots on April 18th. His blood lab work was very good & he was declared a healthy fellow. Exactly 1 week later he regurgitated his canned food (he does that sometimes because he tends to gobble) 4 days in a row. Took him to the clinic that Monday morning (2 weeks after his check up) & had a temp of 103 & reluctant to let the doctor palpate his tummy. He had an antibiotic shot if it was an infection. She suggested an ultrasound which had to be done at a different vet's office. So Friday he had the ultrasound - nothing remarkable, but x-ray revealed mild arthritis in lower back. No fever & okay with touching his tummy. (He is a little embarrassed about the bare tummy) Dr Habermann suspects a flare up of pancreatitis & sent some prescription canned food for sensitive stomach which Mickey was okay with eating. He had been eating very little which is not like him - also my playful boy was not running & jumping any more. He's mostly sleeping all the time. Still sleeping all the time - called the doctor & he is sending some pain medication. Mickey has become a real mama's boy since he's not been feeling good. Will keep you posted.6/26/2017 Saw Dr Lewis today (4th one). Mickey has IBD so now it is a process of elimination to find out what sets off the constant regurgitation Does 1/2 prednisone once daily. Will now give him z/d to see if he can keep that down Gave him a little of the canned this afternoon - lots of liquid regurgitation. Need to go to Jasper to get the z/d dry food. Mixing tylosin powder with powdered sugar - 1/4 teaspoon over his food once a day now. Will be talking to the local doctor once a week - he reports to the specialist. Happy to say Mickey's sweet outgoing personality came back with the prednisone - still has his long nap late morning until late afternoon. 7/27/2017 Mickey had a check up at the doctor's office this morning. He had finished his prednisone & another anti-nausea drug about 2 weeks ago. His IBS isn't completely under control - he can go 3 or 4 days without regurgitating & then has a bad day. The doctor says that is just something we may have to live with. He does not like the Z/D at all, & mostly his diet is dry I/D. I mix a little of the Z/D in, but he usually pushes it out of his bowl. I give him 1 Fancy Feast treat a day - I get the assorted pack of 10 (4 chicken, 3 tuna, 3 salmon. He has no trouble keeping it down & eagerly licks my hand when he's finished. He gained a little since his stressful 3 months of doctor visits & tests - now at 13.3 pounds. He was down to 12 lbs a month ago. The doctor says he looks really good & he had his head buried in my side for most of the exam. I'm going to try a can of premium food for sensitive stomach (Royal Kanan, Evo) when I go to Pet Smart tomorrow. Oh yes, they had to take his carrier apart to get him out again! 7/23/2018 We've been together 2 years now. Mickey is still the cool cat as he was from the beginning. His IBD is a recurring thing - may go as long as a week without regurgitation. I got on the scale with him this week - it looks like he weighs about 15 pounds (he is looking a bit round). His diet consists of 2 1/4 can servings of Fancy Feast (beef, chicken, or seafood) ach day plus 3 1 tablespoon servings of Hill's Stomach sensitive I/D. I have started to cut the morning serving to 1/2 tablespoon because it is only 3 hours after his Fancy Feast breakfast. When regurgitation occurs it is usually from the I/D. Tried the Blue food for sensitive stomach - he would have no part of it. Had an infection in his right ear in November - Dr. Haberman treated him & I didn't have to do ear drops like Dr. Lewis had me do the first time. I consider Dr. Haberman his vet, even though he's farther away, but I like his thoroughness & up to date knowledge. Mickey occasionally cuddles for a few minutes when I first go to bed, but that's about all. He generally hops up on the bed between 6:30 & 6:45 - the radio comes on at 7. He's ready for breakfast! I e-mail his former mom every now & then to update her on how he's doing - she always answers - still misses him tremendously. I had 3 day trips in January & March - friends came in to take care of him - he was always at the door greeting them & pursued them talking all the time they were here. Seemed to need talk more than meal! Even though he sleeps much of the time, it appears he was very lonely. .

WINKY (WEE WENDY WINKLES)
My name is Wendy and I am a one eyed cat. The vet thinks I was born this way. To help me, they sewed my right eye closed. BUT, when you look at me, you hardly notice that at all. My left eye makes up for everything. It is big, beautiful and SOOOOO blue. One of Mama Katie's friends came to visit me the other day and she said that I am a very special cat because with my one eye I can see deep into your soul. If you want a sould kitty, I'm the one to ask about. I will bond with you and love you forever and ever. Because my life has been a little bigt of a challenge, I am a very understanding and attentive kitty. I love people and love to be loved by them. I also love to kiss faces and rub ankles. And,. yes. I love to play - fuzzy mioce and catnip toys as well as wand toys ar some of my favorites. My Good Sam saved my life and got me to a rewcue who helped me get into Siamese Rescue - I am such a lucky girl. You will be lucky, too, if you ask about me and make me your own soul kittey. Hello again. It's Wendy, sometimes known as Wee Wendy Winkles, or mostly just Winky. My mom also calls me mommy's little meezer girl. You see, my mom and dad have lots of lovey names for me because they love me SO much. I have been here for two weeks now. I am such a happy girl. I have explored the whole house, even the basement! So much to see and space to play. The screened porch is the best! So many birds! So many squirrels! Who knew they have black squirrels here in Ohio? Mom says they are the unofficial mascot of the university where she works. Whatever they are, I love to stalk them when I am in the porch. I have met my three sisters. I don't think they like me very much yet, but I will win them over eventually. Who wouldn't love a cute little one eyed Siamese girl! I just can't wait until they let me play with them. In the meantime, I love to sleep on mommy's shoulder. Every little while I like to tap her face to reassure her I am there. I think she likes that. I heard her tell dad she isn't getting much sleep. I guess she is just so excited to have me here! Well, I will tell you more in a few weeks when my sisters get over their hissy fits. In the meantime, all of you meezers out their waiting for your forever homes - it is worth the wait! And you people thinking about adopting one of us - I bet if you ask my mom and dad they would say "do it - you will love your meezer baby!" Just don't ask my sisters right now. Geez those teenagers can be so moody!

Well here I am again, Winky (Wendy) to tell you about my life in the past month. Yes, it has been a whole MONTH in my furever home. In a word -FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love exploring, playing, tormenting my sisters, cuddling with mom and dad, tormenting my sisters, eating, sleeping, playing, tormenting my sisters. The screened porch is the best place on a sunny day, but if that isn't open, there are TONS of sunny places around my house. And now that I can roam free ANY TIME I WANT TO, I can pick whatever spot I like! I still get growled at and hissed at by my sisters. I don't know what THEIR problem is! So I occasionally rush up to one of them and poke them a little or chase Roxy or Pinky or Kitty. I'm telling you, they needed me to liven things up a bit around here. I heard it was just too QUIET before I came here to live. So they can growl and hiss all they want. I am one happy Meezer. My mom and Dad adore me! My mom, especially, tells me that all the time. She picks me up and kisses me and hugs me and tells me how gorgeous I am. Of course, I knew THAT already . . . geez. I am a Siamese! Anyway, I love my whole family. Mom thinks I love her best because I follow her around and when she calls my name, I come running! Only because I WANT TO. Well, I will try to post more pictures when I can. I am currently VERY busy finding new comfy spots around the house - gotta try them all! Hey, thanks again, all of you Siamese Rescue people - foster Mom Katie and interviewer Andrea who said my mom and dad could adopt a Siamese and all of those awesome transporters who brought me across Indiana and Ohio, and Siri and well . . . EVERYONE! I hope you all know I am so happy to be settled with my furever family. It means a lot to this one eyed little lynx point. So, gotta go . . . so much to do!!!!!!

I had SUCH an exciting weekend here at home! This little Meezer girl attended her first PARTY! Mom and Dad had a big party for something called Labor Day. I don't know what that means, because every day for me is just fun and play and love and good food and cuddles and love and naps and toys and comfy spots to watch the world go by! So all of these people came to the party and although I had to be in my room for most of the party because mom was afraid one of the kids might accidentally let me escape and get out of the house, a whole bunch of people came to my room to see me! Everyone wanted to meet the beautiful new Siamese girl. One nice lady even brought me my own organic catnip toy! And then at the end of the party I got to come out and see a few more people. Everyone LOVED me! And I enjoyed being the center of attention - don't ALL Siamese love that? My mom and dad are so proud of me and they tell everyone what a wonderful organization Siamese Rescue is! So all of you Siamese girls and boys out there waiting for a furever home - I hope you get to go to a party with your family some day! Parties are such FUN! And if you are out there thinking of adopting from Siamese Rescue - you really should and YOU could have a BEAUTIFUL meezer baby like me! Now, I must take a nap . . . parties take a lot of energy. I helped mom with all of the prep AND the cleanup. She calls me her little shadow. I have to help her with everything - geez what did she do before I got here? I bet she never got anything done! OK, so more later - maybe I can update you at the holidays - I can't wait to decorate for Christmas! This little Siamese is signing off to go take a snooze . . . .

Happy Halloween everyone! My mom is trying to upload a picture of cute little me! Her computer is acting kind of slow today. Hopefully the picture will upload soon because I want you all to see my cute costume! This year (and every year hereafter) I shall dress up as the happiest Meezer ever! Yep, that is me - I am happy and healthy and just SO IN LOVE with my furever family! My mom and I cuddle all the time and sometimes I like to cuddle with my Dad too. My sisters are staring to get used to me a little. Heee Heeee I still chase them!!!!!! But I am one happy little girl. Lots to be thankful for too.

Dear Santa Claws:

Well, it is that time of year again - time for all good little Meezer girls and boys to send their Christmas wish list to you! I don't have an awfully long list this year. You see, I got EVERYTHING I always wanted this year when Siamese Rescue rescued me and helped me find my furever family. I have all of the toys, good food, warm snoozing spots and LOVE that I could ever hope for, so thanks, Santa Claws, for helping my Christmas wishes come true. My sisters also got everything on their lists, too. So, Santa, all I really want is for you to help all of the other homeless cats (and dogs) find good homes. Mom says she would take them all if she could but our house isn't QUITE big enough. So Santa, thanks again! Mom and I will be watching the Siamese Rescue site - we always get SO happy when we see the great Meezers who have found their homes too. Merry Christmas to you, Mrs. Claws and all the reindeer!

Love,

Wendy (Winky) in North Canton, OH

p.s. I won't mind if you slip a catnip mousie or three into my Christmas stocking.

Hello all of my adoring fans! Can you believe it has been SIX MONTHS since I got here to my furever home? It really IS true - time flies when you're having fun! And we have SUCH fun here at my house - every day! I start my day when I hear mom's alarm clock go off - if I'm not already in bed with her I go flying in there, hop on top of her, give her a big meezer hug and we cuddle for awhile. Mom started to set her clock a half hour early because I was making her late for work (hee hee). I am sad when she goes to work but I have sisters to play with and some days Dad works part of the day or the whole day at home so I get to help him. I have lots of favorite places to take naps and I always have clean water and good food and yes, nice clean litterboxes. What more could a girl want? Well, there are toys too. Lots and lots of toys. Sometimes I find something that belongs to mom to play with instead of my toys. I like to borrow her makeup brush and sometimes something decorative that is SUPPOSED to just be sitting somewhere looking pretty. What fun is that? Lots more fun to take it and bat it across the floor! I, well we, got a great Christmas present - a kitty water fountain! I'm the one who loves it best because I love to play in my water. So then after playing and naps Mom comes home from work and we all have dinner and then we get to cuddle. If it is really cold, Mom turns the electric blanket on for a little while to warm up the foot of the bed where I like to sleep. I LOVE THAT! I am not spoiled at all, honest! So, meezer fans and friends, this very special girl has had a great six months and it just keeps getting better! Gotta go, my sister Roxy wants to play and chase - yippeeeee!

Well folks I have been in my furever home an entire year! Can you believe it? It has been the best year! And I know mom and dad agree because last night I heard them talking and they were saying how much they love me and what a great year it has been! They love me, they really LOVE me! I had do doubts because I am VERY cute and a big LOVE BUG (that's what daddy often calls me). So I love my sissies too, even Pinky, although it seems she doesn't like ME all that much. Sigh. But biggest sis Kitty likes me and Roxy, who is about my age, LOVES to play with me! We have lots of toys (mom says it looks like a cat toy factory exploded in our house) and we love to run and chase. First I chase her, then she chases me. FUN! And we love our screened porch too! Mom loves to sit there with us and we are often on mom's lap on the comfy chaise! Mom and dad took me to see Dr. Heller a couple weeks ago. Believe me, I let them know the whole way there I was NOT happy about it. I used my big Meezer voice I reserve for very special occasions. But once I was there it was not so bad. He trimmed my nails and looked in my ears and my eyes and mouth and took my temperature and stuff and declared me the most PURRFECT specimen of a meezer he had ever seen. Well, there was something he said about a specimen anyway. So I guess all that is over for another year. Next year I promise I won't try to bite him while he trims my nails.Well, I'll TRY not to bite him. Ooops, Mom was embarrassed but I really hate to have my nails trimmed. So there you have it, meezer fans - a recap of the most wonderful year that ever there was. Every day Mom and I say a little prayer that all Meezers (and other types of cats as well as dogs, too and bunnies and birds and well, EVERYONE) could maybe find such a great life. I sure wish it could be like that for everyone, I know everyone with Siamese Rescue is doing what they can to make that happen and mom knows some other rescue people who are doing their part too. So if you are out there waiting for your furever home, keep the faith. Look at this little meezer from Indiana! Living the good life and loving it!

Hello Meezer fans, or at least fans of ME - Winky the Meezer! It's been TWO YEARS since I found my forever home. I have the best life of any meezer, EVER. Well, at least I think so. So MUCH to tell you, but I will try to keep this short. Dr. Heller, that's my vet, he says I'm purrfectly healthy. I weigh 9.5 pounds - and he says that is just right for my athletic Siamese physique. My sisters all love me (well, ok, so that darned Pinky never really warmed up to me - what IS her problem anyway? She and I both have blue eyes like mom - you'd think she would see I'm her favorite sister). Anyway, my sisses love me and Mom and Dad of course adore me. I sleep on mom's shoulder every night just like I'm supposed to. Mom and Dad bought me a big tall kitty condo for Christmas. I spend most of my time on the very top level - the PENTHOUSE, I think you'd call it. I love it there. I can see out the big window from the condo and I keep AN EYE on the yard. When mom is home she sits in the screened porch with us and I love that. We have good food and our own water fountain and clean litterboxes and beds and toys. Oh, we have a happy life. We are a happy family, all six of us, together. We had a flood in our basement last week and while mom and dad were cleaning up the water, I waded around like I was at the beach. Mom says I'm crazy!!!!!! I say yeah, CRAZY CUTE! So anyway, I'm still hoping for all my fellow meezers to get a home like I have. And mom watches all of the cats on Siamese rescue and says a prayer that their forever families find them soon. She loves all those other cats, so I have to remind her from time to time that 4 is enough! I mean, I'm absolutely purrfect - who needs ANOTHER cat? I guess that's all for now. I just wanted to celebrate my 2 year annipurrsary with all of you! Until next time, this is Winky saying I love you SIAMESE RESCUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello everyone in Siamese Rescue world! I am the happiest Siamese around and even happier today since it's my third anniversary of my forever home! I love my mom and my dad and my sisters and my screened porch and my food and my water fountain and my toys and my kitty condo (ooooh yeah, especially my kitty condo) and well . . . . I love EVERYTHING! And guess what, my mom and dad REALLY love me, and isn't that just the best thing of all? I go see Dr. Heller on Saturday for my check up. I don't love that. He's very nice but I usually bite him.Mom tells me not to bite him, but I'm pretty sure I'll bite him anyway. My sister Pinky will go too and she doesn't bite Dr. H, she just hides her head under mom's arm. She's obviously not a brave Meezer like me. Well, anyway, I have naps in the screened porch calling my name so I gotta go. Did I mention my dad works from home most days so I get even more screened porch time than before? And he feeds me my most favorite wet food a little earlier every afternoon because I make sure to sit in front of his computer screen so he can't forget. He's getting older so reminding him of things is my job. Anyway, I hope all the Siamese find wonderful homes. Maybe someday another one will come to live with us. Mom keeps telling dad he needs another boy in the house and they should adopt a little meezer boy. That would mean I'd have a little brother. Oh I'd love to be a big sis. I really would. I'm going to go to the screened porch and have dreams of a little brother. Love you all, Siamese Rescue!

FOUR YEARS!!!!!!! Winky's mom here - I know Winky usually checks in herself, but she is currently too busy either sunning her belly in the screened porch OR bugging her dad for her daily wet food. You see, we call it "suppie" (supper) and it used to be served around dinnertime for us people, but since dad now works from home most days (yay for all the kitties - they LOVE having daddy home), Winky has ummmm TRAINED dad to serve it a bit earlier in the day. Like, 10 am. Apparently if you sit in front of someone's computer and STARE at them with ONE BIG BLUE EYE you train them to do just about anything you want! VERY effective. So, last week Winky had her annual visit to see Dr. Heller. All went well and there was no biting (BIG sigh of relief). She weighs just under 10 pounds, about where she was one year ago. I wish I could say the same. Sigh. Anyway, Winky is extremely happy and perfectly healthy and a big love bug and an instigator of mischief and she is loved loved loved like you would NOT believe. Well, I'm sure you all WOULD believe it, because being meezer folks, you understand what it is to love a meezer. Nothing like it. Our thanks again for bringing Winking into our lives, and for saving those beautiful cats and matching them with the perfect families. We are FOREVER GRATEFUL for Siamese Rescue. Winky sends her love to all. Perhaps next year she will be up for writing her own update as in the past. Unless she is sleeping in the sun. Or eating "suppie." Or chasing one of her sisters. She has a pretty tight schedule, people!

Guys! Guys! Can you even BELIEVE it? I've been here with my furever family for 6 WHOLE ENTIRE YEARS! I'm not sure why my meowmy forgot to send an update last year. She's getting pretty old, so maybe she just forgot. Anymeez, this past year has been a little bit sad and a whole lotta happy. Last July, we were sad to lose my oldest sister Kitty. She was very very ill with something called cancer and it was very sad, but finally my meowmy and daddy had to take her to the vet and she went to the Rainbow Bridge in my meowmy's and daddy's arms. Her ashes are in our family room and we all miss her very much. But then in August, we unexpectedly got a new baby sister! She is very fun and we are best friends. I try to pretend I don't love her, but secretly I do. We run and play, and when it's mealtime we get very excited and sometimes we punch each other and sometimes we groom each other. It's so fun to be a big sis! So, all in all, everything is great and I am still thrilled that Siamese Rescue made this wonderful thing happen for me! Check out my new photos! And, oh yeah, Mom says to tell everyone it's time for my annual visit to Dr. Heller and it has been scheduled for two weeks from this past Saturday. I'm going to try to bite him when he trims my nails. I don't like that.

Hello all, this is Winky's mom. So much to tell, and she gets a little wordy, so I'll keep this short and sweet. In December 2017 I accepted an assistant dean position at Ohio University, and that required a move about three hours south of where we had lived since 1992. In late March, we made the move. Winky and her sisters (all three of them) are doing GREAT! I think they adjusted faster than I did! They love the new house, including a four season sunroom. There is a lot of wildlife on our acre and a half, including deer, hawks, wild turkeys, a resident groundhog, many, many birds and butterflies. The girls enjoy watching the world from the sunroom. Since we had to leave our dear vet of 26 years, he recommended a veterinary school classmate here in Athens, and hat vet practice is only five minutes from our house. We'll be taking all the girls for checkups in August. Winky is in great health, loves having her daddy around (he works from home most days), and loves being the absolute apple of my eye. She even won over the internet this week by being named "Kitty of the Week/Internet" by the Gifted Cat. I'm afraid that will just go to her head! Mark and I hope to continue with Meezer Express transports, but I fear we are in a pretty low traffic part of Ohio now. We send our very best to all affiliated with Siamese Rescue. It has been an amazing seven years since we found our sweet Winky. By the way, our youngest cat, adopted two years ago, continues to be Winky's best friend. Life is really, really good in Spicerworld and Winkyland! All best to our rescue friends!

SUSIE
We're very young and tiny (under 1 lb) so we need some nurturing and growing time. We'll be on adopt me soon, so have patience. We're all doing well and gaining weight.

FUEGO
Are you ready for some fire in your life? Then you are ready for ME!

I'm an itty bitty little guy, but have tons of personality, I LOVE to play
and LOVE to cuddle when I finally get tired.

Another energetic kitten or cat is a must, so don't ask about me
if you want just one.

I won't be ready to go home until the end of October, but I will be so
worth the wait.

Notes from Home
December 2016
Fuego (we kept his name, it seemed very appropriate) joined our family just over a month ago and settled in wonderfully. He is eating well and growing quickly - and keeps us all on our toes (literally, particularly when he's swirling around our feet at breakfast and dinnertime, while shouting at us for not opening the can quickly enough!).

Our meezer quickly became good friends with our tuxedo princess Tessie, who is a few months older than him. Ramsay, our senior kitty, seems to enjoy watching the youngsters' antics, and is teaching them both some manners when they get too boisterous around him.

Fuego loves his younger humans - he can often be found curled up on the top bunk with my elder daughter (we put a cat tree at the end of the bunk bed) when he's not sleeping under the blankets with me or playing with my younger daughter. He is currently recovering from a cold and eye infection (nothing serious) and is very good when we give him his eye drops. He has charmed his new vet and all the nurses, and seems to enjoy his visits there, probably because he is the centre of attention and ends up with lots of new toy mice :)

Thanksgiving was fun - Fuego wasn't fussed about turkey to begin with but has developed a taste for it. We just put up the Christmas tree and the kittens are having fun hiding behind it and knocking the (all plastic) ornaments onto the floor. We've even decorated their downstairs cat tree with their own little tree and attached a bell to the rope.

A huge (belated) thank you once again to everyone who helped us adopt our fiery, furry meezer: Elizabeth, our fabulous interviewer who patiently guided us through the adoption process and fielded about a million questions from me; Nancy, Fuego's wonderful foster mum who kept sending us photos and videos while we waited for him to be ready for transportation; and all the Meezer Express drivers who were serenaded by Fuego during his trip up to NY. We will keep you posted with more updates in the new year!

July 2018
Sorry we haven’t sent an update for ages - my daughter reminded me yesterday that we should post some updated photos! Fuego, or “Prince Fuego of Awesome” or just “Darling”, is very well and has been enjoying the warmer weather - although our house is currently littered with tufts of white fluff! Thankfully he seems to enjoy our games of “brush the cat” though :)

He still refuses to eat any food other than kitten food (fussy little bugger) and his crunchy dry food, though he likes the occasional Whiskers treat now, especially after a game of brush-the-cat or a paw-dicure.

He and his best friend Tessie love to hang out in the screened-in porch when the weather is warmer, birdwatching and chipmunk spotting. While Tessie is our resident mouser, Fuego’s talent is bug catching, which we’re quite happy about - he has a particular penchant for those horrible black crickets. Happily he’s decided to stop eating stink bugs though…

He is very good at sneaking into cupboards and knocking things off the table if he wants your attention - and he has taken to sleeping on my pillow at night, though he’s recently rediscovered his Siamese Rescue cat bed which is tucked into a corner in our room, which means my face isn’t covered in fluff all night. All in all, he is a happy kitty :)

MADDIE
Foster Mom was so excited she asked me to post the news about my progress. I still take just a little while to warm up, but once I do....I love to roll around on my back on the chair next to my foster Mom, giving head buts, getting lots of pets, and showing her just how loudly I can purr. And can I ever purr loud! I will still need a home without little kids or other pets, because it would be too overwhelming for me. But a nice home with someone who wants me to roll around and get lots of pets and play and purr and purr.....now that would be perfect! I would love to be home for the holidays, can you help? Ask about me.

Notes from Home
Maddie is adjusting quickly to me, but not to Roy. It has become obvious that some male abused her in some way. As long as Roy is sitting, she seems to be ok; it's when he stands and walks that seems to be the problem. She eats well, and now has the run of the entire house. She has slept in our bed a few times
7/20/2018, Maddie is doing well, putting on a little weight, but is still a bit of a loner. Although we had a bit of problem with her pan usage, the problem was solved with getting a second litter box and now she poos in one and pees in the other. I am so glad we adopted her and hope she is happy as well. When she sits on my lap, she begins to purr and sucks the end of her tail, since one of the last Siamese that we had did it wasn't that much of a surprise and Marco used it as floss.
Thanks again for rescue of her.
Jackie and Roy
7/21/18 This is Roy with a further update. Until about 2 days ago, Maddie had been adjusting to me a little bit. All of a sudden, we are almost back to square one. The only clue I have is that, 2 days ago, I was in a hurry and walking quickly to some part of the house and she was coming in the opposite direction. She stopped and ran the other way. Since then, she has returned to being completely scared of me. I would like to meet the fool who abused her.

LUCY
A very nice lady found me abandoned in a house. She took me and helped me take care of my babies. They are all grown now and have their homes so I am looking for mine. I am good around dogs as I have been around large ones while raising my kids.

Lucy is smart friendly and determined. Making progress in bonding with Ricky. Thanks for the help you provide
Lucy is healthy and now has adjusted to sharing house with Ricky. They even play at times
Thank goodness no significant bad behaviors. She is still shy with strangers but with with time might get comfortable. She likes to be petted and brushed by me
