KAYA MARINA
One of over 30 cats seized from a hoarder situation, I'm finally learning to trust humans once again. Do you have gentle hands, a soft voice and the patience needed to earn my trust ? And I will probably need a home with at least one other feline companion.

I should be ready to go home about Dec 6 which means you could have me gracing your home for the holidays !

Notes from Home
T'Kaya's new name is Marina. She is doing wonderful. She sleeps in her millie bed most of the day. When I go to bed she jumps up for petting and attention. She spends a lot of time with Blue, another Siamese, they get along great together. She went to the vet recently for vaccines and she didnt like that one bit. Once home she was fine. she has a very soft little cry and when she enters the room and if you listen carefully , you will hear her. she also loves playing with little mice and she talks to them a lot. she has been a great addtion to our home.

Marina went to the vet recently for a check up and nail trim. Her vaccines are due this month, I will take her again after Christmas. She is hard to catch! She loves Blue and they spend a lot of time together. They sleep together in the same bed. She visits me every night for some one on one time.

Marina is doing great. She and Blue are still very close. She jumps on the bed every night for her one on one time with me, talking the whole time. She is in need a dental and will be having that done soon. She sleeps in my sons room a lot, but he has only been able to pet her once! I told him he needs to be a little older and slower and she will come to him. Right now, she just likes to watch.

If she is in the room and you don't want to disturb her, you have to pretend she is not there. If you look at her or talk to her --she is out of there! My son has been trying this to get closer to her! He is 7 now and its fun to watch.
If she needs to go to the vet, don't let her see the cat carrier! Leaving the carriers out doesn't help. She is so smart. She always knows when to hide.I think she can tell the morning of because I have to plan on closing her one room in order to catch her. She knows! I am able to hold her at the vets--not like at home!

Marina's dental is scheduled and she had to visit the vet for some bloodwork and another nail trim. They found ear infections in both ears! I was shocked because she never scratches her ears. She also had very full anal glands and as it turns out needs to have them expressed every few months. Just like a dog! Its rare for cats to have anal gland problems, but she is my second! When she got home, she was very happy. She has been even closer to me. I think she feels better.

The cats got a water fountain because of Mystic's bladder problems. She did not know what to do with it at first. She batted at it as she walked by! I didnt think she would ever drink from it. But, Blue showed her how and she is now drinking from it just like the boys.

Marina's dental went well, but she did have to have 11 teeth removed! She will need more dentals and probably lose the rest of her teeth due to dental disease. She came home and went right for the food, both canned and dry. She did great! she eats just fine, so It really has not affected her that much. She actually has been more friendly since her dental and after having her anal glands done. I think she feels much better!

She is doing well. Still doesnt let me pick her up! but, she comes to me on her terms.
Marina has a thyroid condition that we've been treating her for. She has lost some weight but I am monitoring her daily.

Marina became very ill and lost a lot of weight at once. She had chronic diarrhea that the veterinarians have been trying to address. Unfortunately, we said to put her to sleep. I didn't want her to suffer anymore. She was happy with us.

STAR
A small gal with a typical wedgie female personality, I am tightly bonded to my 'sibling' or son, Mr. Big, so we do need to go together. More as we settle in but please watch our videos if interested!
Notes from Home
Star is adapting beautifully. She is very close to her son. They love their Millie beds. She has started playing with several toys. She's eating well and enjoying herself. She had her first veterinary visit and did well. She is been treated for an upper respiratory condition so she still in isolation with her son.

Star is doing very well. She has taken over the house as the reigning queen! I knew she was ready to come out of isolation when she would continually hit the doorknob trying to get out! She was ready to explore the house. I can't leave any closet door or cupboard open because she will go in it!
She has seen the veterinarian a few times. She has had an upper respiratory illness reoccurring with an infected eye. But, she seems better and I have put everyone on lysine hoping that helps some. She has gained a pound and I have to monitor her food as she loves her food! I have 2 cats on medication - not her- but when I take the pill bottles put she comes running asking for cat treats! Everyone comes and she will smack everyone on the head to make sure only she gets treats!
She is so funny. She loves my son and loves to play with him. His job is the "da bird" pole toy. She absolutely loves it. Mason does too. She is the most affectionate female that I have ever had. She shows Mason the ropes and is just doing wonderful. I think that they are both very happy.

Star is wonderful! By far the friendliest female Siamese I've ever had. She sleeps with Mason and I every night. Very affectionate with me. Her Health has improved. She continues to be obsessed with treats. She is very vocal when she want them or her "da bird" she also talks to her reflection in the mirror often! She loves her son and still takes care of him. Also excellent when company comes over.

Notes from Home
It took a couple days for him to feel comfortable in his new surroundings. He has already bonded with me. He lays on me purring and is very content. He is eating well. We still have to go very slow with him. If he hears a loud noise he runs to his Millie bed. Every day I start to see a little bit more of his true personality coming out. He Has started playing with toys, which is nice to see. He is a sweetheart. He also had his first veterinary visit and did very well. We are treating him for an upper respiratory condition as well.

Mason is doing wonderful! He is officially out and about with the other cats and of course Star. Sooner than I thought! He still has a room that's all his own with his litter, beds and toys. If he hears a loud noise or someone new in the home he chooses to go under my bed now. But if I'm alone in the room and pat the bed he will come out to join me. He stays out most of the time now. every day making more and more progress. He sleeps touching me every night and Star is usually on top of him! He loves carry toys in his mouth so I purchased his favorite ones and he likes to carry them to bed. He is such a love bug! He is interacting with my 2 other cats as well. He loves my son too. He also finally found his voice! I hear a chorus of Siamese voices around 5 am waiting for breakfast! I am very proud of him! He is a wonderful boy.

He is still doing terrific! He is very loving as he sleeps with me every night. He never hides anymore. Very comfortable in the home even when their is company over. Loves my son and loves his toys. Learned to use several scratching posts. It's as if he has always been with us. He is the only cat I have that loves digital images and can see them apparently very well. He loves to watch TV but his favorite is the iPad! He has his own apps but he also loves funny dog and cat videos on Facebook! He pauses the screen and scrolls on his own. He is such a character. We love him!

LEXIE
I just landed here with my foster meowm & after I took a few days to brush myself off from the change, I'm starting to feel safe & loved! I'm a sweet girl that does not like to kiss on the first date, but after a little getting to know you time, I enjoy laying beside you while we sleep.

I have very good manners & do well with my litter box habits. I do not want an active home, as I enjoy my peace & quiet time.

So...tell my foster meowm a little about you & she will see if our paths will connect.

Lexi

Notes from Home
Lexie is doing very well. Has now been in the main part of the house for a week and is adjusting nicely. She has found many places to sleep and relax. especially the sunny places and soft comforters!!
She has been on a visit to vet and all is well.
Will continue updates as time goes on.

BENTLEY
Outside for quite some time based on my sunburnt fur, I'm a little startled at new things but have a fantastic base purrsonality. Marked as no kids simply because I don't want a very busy or noisy household, I'm going to be the tiniest bit shy at first but I'm definitely well socialized and get over things pretty quickly.

Notes from Home
Mr. Bentley is celebrating his two week anniversary! Hooray!! Already it is impossible to imagine our family without him. He continues to be fond of giving kitty-hugs and climbing up to people's shoulders, but he is becoming more independent--exploring every inch of his new home.

11/10/2016 Today is Mr. Bentley (yes, MR. always Mr. as he's earned it) 4TH ANNIVERSARY as a member of this family. He is now a confident (sometimes swaggering) mature boy with a heart of gold. Yesterday he went for his yearly check up and cooperated like a champ--even with the nail clipping.

SNICKERS
Ok, I look the most scared but my brother is more scared and huddles with me for moral support. Don't laugh - I have sort of big ears and foster mom said in one photo she thought I looked like a bunny. Geez - I'm just trying to pretend that you don't see me but those toys were enticing. Sweet natured with lots of potential but need lots of TLC and patience to help us blossom. We are a team.
Turbo
Notes from Home
I'm working on uploading the latest picture of Cadbury (Jojo) and Snickers (Turbo) with our big marmalade cat, Giblet - they all love the new cat tree in the living room.

Snickers thinks he's one of the dogs and Cadbury is very adventurous - he's always the first, the highest up, the most eager to explore. Both find it very amusing to accompany visitors and family alike to the restroom!

Happy Holidays!

Spring 2016 - Both kitties are doing well and fully integrated into the family - Snickers (the fuzzy one) thinks he is a dog and happily piles onto the couch of an evening, even if the dogs are already there. Cadbury is very lovey, but still doesn't like to be picked up (it's like holding a brick) - both kitties accompany us everywhere throughout the day - great companions!

November 2016 - Hard to believe it's only been a year - these two kitties are happily a core part of this family! Snickers (the fuzzy one) must have some "ragdoll" in him - he's very sweet and floppy (and yes, he still looks like a bunny) - he thinks the water bubbling through the fish filter is his own personal water fountain. Cadbury is one of those cats that flops down in front of you while you're walking - makes for some interesting dances. Both love toys and getting combed, and they get along well with the dogs and our other cats. Still a bit shy with strangers, but they are super-friendly with family members that they know. Cadbury has become a handsome sealpoint and even likes to be held now (but he weighs in at 13 pounds - the vet says he's not too fat, so I guess he's just a SOLID dude). I will add a couple of pictures here as well. Thanks again to all the volunteers at Siamese Rescue!

CADBURY
I am a shy/scared young man right now and rely on my brother for lots of moral support. Lots of potential but need a human who can spend time helping us to learn to trust and relax. It will take a little time but have a big payoff.

Notes from Home
JoJo (whose name is likely going to be Cadbury, but don't change the records yet!) is a sweet, very adventurous boy who loves to be petted. He and his brother visited our local vet on Thursday for their "well baby" visit and she thought they were glorious! No problems except a slight leftover yeast infection in their ears (remnants of the cleared-up mites problem). Cadbury is definitely more outgoing than his brother - having already cleared the top shelves of their contents. They have met their older "brother" - a 17-pound, deaf marmalade cat named Giblet - and that is going better than I anticipated. So, our update is that we love them lots already and everything is going well. I'll add pictures soon! (all the ones so far have red eyes). Best -- Beth

FLAMBE
Looking for a nonstop cuddler who wants nonstop tummy rubs? That's me!

I had a rough start. When the Miami shelter called my rescue angel to pick me up,. I couldn't walk upright, due to dislocation in both knees. To save me from cetain euthanasia at the shelter, she took me to her vet, and my knees were repaired surgically, and now I can run like other cats!

Since I arrived with foster mom, I have been nothing more than a little angel. I love to play with the four resident cats, but spend a lot of time on the cat tree by myself, waiting for foster mom to come in and put m on her lap.

My litter box habits are impeccable, I eat "the good food", and am a sweet mellow soul. I would fit in well with a household who had another mellow cat like myself,and/or a human who can appreciate and return all the love I have to give.

I'm o.k. with gentle dogs who don't want to chase or bark at me.

GET TO KNOW ME THROUGH MY VIDEOS!
Notes from Home
Flambe is an awesome cat. I love him so much. I hate leaving him when I go to work, but he seems fine and then as soon as I get home he greets me and follows me around. He is so sweet and loves to be near you. He is comfortable around one of my guy friends that visits and goes up to him as well and jumps on his head etc. He is a silly cat and quite crazy when he plays running back and forth and all around but then when he calms down he wants to be right by you and wants to snuggle. I am so happy to come home to him and even spend my days with him when I don't have to work. He also reminds me of 2 Siamese I had that passed, he is a mix between the 2 so I feel they are still around. I am glad I found Flambe and that I am now his mommy forever!

TORO
A lovely older chocolate point, I was found wandering on the roads back in March and it has taken me quite some time to be pulled together. I battle stomatitis, a gum condition that necessitates wet food only and some OTC supplements mixed in my food. All my teeth are gone so you have no dental work in my future; all you can expect is some great love and a lot of lap sitting. I'm fine with other cats as long as they are middle of the road - no victim cats as I might be too pushy for them, no bully cats as I might shrink back. I feel pretty much the same way about dogs. But you? Oooooh I really want a very loving forward kissy faced person please!

Notes from Home
Toro is the sweetest lovebug that I could ever imagine. His favorite places are someones lap or on his heated blanket that we move around the house for him during the day. He charms everyone he meets and has found his favorite places to nap in our home. He loves following Sunny around the house while we are doing chores and has begun to face his biggest fear of all - the vacuum cleaner. We have found that Toro LOVES wet food that is gravy based and now he eats his food in one sitting rather than slowly throughout the day. He has put on weight and his vet commented that he was a healthy cat. His gums still show some signs of irritation, but it has not hindered his ability to eat. If they are still red during his next check up in March we will take some x-rays to see if there's anything left behind from the surgery that's still agitating them. Overall, Toro is a happy cat who would love any owners he had, we're just lucky it's Sunny and me!

CODERS
Just arrived. More information soon.
Notes from Home
Just clipped Cody's looooong claws! Haha! Surprised he never accidentally scratched anyone with them yet! My almost 6 year old carries him around - he is very good with the kids. Usually sleeps with the 8 year old in her bed. Loves daddy too. He is totally at home here! 😃 Occasional puking, but I think it is related to getting different canned cat food. We have better stuff coming in the mail today. Giving him a good crunchy food as well. He mews for canned every morning. Very smart kitty!

11/8/16 Coders is part of the family! Loves his kitty cans, running out into the garage to explore, snuggling, and still puts up with the 5 year old chasing him around holding and hugging him. Never bites or scratches. Very sweet! So thankful we have him so daddy isn't the only male around here! Haha
