Foster mom says I am a velcro kitty whatever that means. I just like to be wherever foster mom or pa are. I like giving kisses and getting hugs. I sleep on the bed on foster mom's pillow. If you are looking for a cat for company ask about me. .

I wish I could have a new home for the new year but since it isn't happening do you think you can make it happen soon? Lots of kisses, Hera

Hey How are You ! Can't believe it has been 6 months,Hera is doing just fine. We had an URI early on,by catching early made the difference. That is the only health problem we have had. She had her first wellness checkup she is a health girl, all 12.1 lbs. All shorts are current she and Hobbie are at the same time. Litter habits are very good, eats very good.Plays with her toys at times I fine them in the bed with me. She sleeps at foot of my bed. Has claimed my rocking chair for herself.
The 1 problem which has just started is trying to run out the door,I have and inside intrance. She dose know,Hera No. Bad Girl . Bolting for the door I don not like,by using a different tone in my voice is working. Hobbie and Hera have the best time playing chase. Gives kisses , and chips.

Nov 11,2011
Hera, has be with us for almost a year now. She has grown and has filled out. I could not have found a better cat, playful, happy cat has to help no matter what you are doing. If Hobbie won't play she brings me her toy,and we play. The other day I found Hera and Hobbie curled up in the rocker, got pictures with my phone. When I find out how to down from phone to computer I can post them.
Miss Hera, is a fun cat, likes to play, enjoys people,no longer charges out the door, when it is opened. Not a lap cat BUT will curl up next to you, sleeps on her back in the bed. Can't wait for christmas should be very interesting !!!!

(11/11/11)
I really love my new home! Of course all I wanted to do was hide the first couple of days but I decided to be brave because this seemed like a really nice place and Cindy and Randy really welcomed me with pets, great food and lots of love. Now that I have been here for a month now I love adventuring around the house and the screened in porch is my favorite place. Mom knows that when I am sitting at the french doors waiting patiently I mean business and she lets me out along with my siblings. I wish I could figure out a way to get those grey furballs outside of the screen (mom calls them squirrels) and I am really interested in the big brown creatures that mom calls deer. I could just sit there for hours and watch them from my favorite chair and sometimes I fall asleep out there. Aside from the porch my next favorite place is this really cool tower that was just made for me and my siblings. When mom and dad come home from work I am usually the one on top of the tower so I can look down at everyone else. It's a great way to sneak up on the little siblings, pounce and then play! They never see me coming! I really enjoy playing with the three new family members Prince, Ava and Taylor who mom says she rescued from a rescue she volunteers for and I have no problem with that. They are fun and since I am their elder, I know I am in charge! I am not so sure about the other two though as I know they are older than me. Simon is cool, he doesn't bother me but Rocky just does not know when to give a girl a break (I think he has a crush on me). Ya know, I guess I can't say that he starts it all the time though as sometimes I cannot help but sit there and stare at him like he does to me but don't tell mom and dad! Hehe. For now we have supervised visits and mom gives me blankets that smell like him; he doesn't smell too bad. She must do the same thing with me because she is always rubbing a blanket on me and although I love that because the blanket is nice and soft, I often wondered why.

I pretty much have whatever my heart desires here and I really do love my new home. Although I am still getting used to some things and am still trying to figure everything out, I am sure I found a great forever home here with Cindy and Randy. Thank you Teresa for finding me such a great place to call my home!

NOTE FROM MOM: Lily has had some issues adjusting at first but now she adjusted pretty well here! Although it is a process and it will take time for her to feel completely secure, she is starting to really come around. She is very affectionate with us and is very vocal when she wants attention, the door to the porch open or food which of course she gets. Lily is not to the point where she will sit in our lap and cuddle but she will get there! This was definitely a perfect match. She will never have to worry about being moved around or having to find another home as we truly adore her and could not be happier to have her as a part of our family!

MARSHALL
Well, I finally got my own room here at foster mom's house:)

There is a comfy people bed, windows where I can see and smell the outside, and lots of toys to play with.

Foster mom even lets my cat buddies, Woodley and Juliet, in to hang out with me:) I really like my cat buddies!

I am still shy but am learning that people are OK.

Foster mom says I am ready for my very own home now - could it be yours?

LMK!!!! Oh, and check out my new pictures!

Love, Carson

Marshall is very happy in his new home. He was very shy at first but over time has realized that he's safe and secure. He is a very playful cat and loves his housemate Lilly. He would play all day long (all night long too) if one of us can keep up with him. Marshall is very loving when he trusts you, but that takes some time.

LILLY
Young, cute, petite, and friendly - it doesn't get much better! I'm finally over my cold and starting to explore the world of the Rescue Center. I'm adoring people and their laps and attention, starting to play with toys, and I've been great with my habits. I'm sort of indifferent to other cats, as if maybe I've had ton of cat exposure, they don't scare me, they don't interest me, they just are. For this reason I'd probably integrate easily provided there are no bully cats that would chase me because of my size, which is definitely small. I'm all about loving and lap sitting, though, that I can't get enough of!

Notes from Home
Lilly is doing great and settled into her new home easily. She loves everybody and loves to cuddle and get lots of scratches. Lilly likes her housemate Marshall, even if he's a little hyperactive for her at times. They play and wrestle until she gets tired or he gets too rough, and then takes up her place at the top of the climbing tree where she sleeps during the day.

Notes from Home
1/30/11 Kitty is doing great. she is playful and sleeps with me at night and loves to discover .
she still has her moments that I feel she doesn't want us to leave but She is slowly getting used to it.
It has been a great week of having her in my life and I am so happy she is here.

2/26/11 I took Liza, now Zoe, to Tufts cardiology , the head of department is a friend of a friend and she had an ECHO(a view of the heart). She has major cardiomyopathy( enlarged heart) which is not good. I have to start her on medication and have to get an echo a few times a year. The doctor thinks she may be part Birman and they have more issues with their heart and they don't do very well long term, so that was really sad to hear.....so we'll see, I do hope she has few good years ahead of her before anything happens. She had a party, 25 people showed up and brought her gifts.
Every one that meets her loves her. My whole hospital always asks about her. She is Loved.

11/5/11- Just wanted to touch base and show you some pictures of my girl.
she is doing well and fiesty as always.
she is getting her next echo in 2 weeks.
I have been home for the last 2-3 weeks studying for an exam, so she is learning a lot as well.
hope you enjoy the pictures.
she has about 500 of them!

P.S. we sing a song for her, it is called," Zoe the cat was a special cat".

SAMANTHA
Just arrived and in iso. I have a kitty cold but happy to be out of the shelter. I have a super loud motor and foster mom says a ladylike meezer voice. Won't meet other kitties until I am out of iso.

Notes from Home
It is hard to believe it is one month;it seems as though she has been part of our lives forever. She is one happy cat not having to deal with any other animals, and she is discovering her voice. The other day, I told her "No" to something, and she repeated,No as clear as a bell. She is such a good little cat, and gets more beautiful every day. She has done so much to ease the pain pf Fluffy's death,.and I am so grateful to the Rescue for sheltering her and giving her love until we were able to take her.I saw her previous adoption picture on the archive website, and knowing that she began her life in Indiana and had to come as far as Long Island to find her true home makes me believe that things happen for a reason. I really love her so much, and she has begun to sit on my husband's lap as well, and that makes him very happy.
She became Beauty from Day One--somehow, Selma does not suit her, and everyone who sees her always says that she is a Beauty, so I guess the name is also meant to be. Again thanks for our wonderful little girl

SADIE MAE
Shy at first, but blossoming more each day, just like the flowers in Spring! Looking for a quiet home where I can blossom even more. I tolerate other cats, but I'm not interested in playing or cuddling with them. I'm finding my Meezer voice a little more as I settle in. Let's chat.

Notes from Home
11/2/11
Sadie Mae (Rita Mae) has been an absolute delight! She is beautiful and has such a sweet disposition.
My day usually starts with Sadie kneading my shoulder, purring loudly, at 5:30AM! After she's sure I'm awake, she'll run to the bathroom and wait until I come in and turn on the water. Her new skill is drinking
from the faucet and that took some practice, but she is very proud of it. Her other trick is carrying her
kickeroos from one room to another, meowing loudly, and she is normally not a very vocal cat! Sadie loves to hang out near me and sleep near me. Sadie gets along very well with Huxley who is a male Siamese a year younger. They will play together, wrestle, bathe each other and when Sadie allows it, sleep together. She likes Natural Choice dry catfood and a spoonful of canned Fancy Feast and that'sit. I have tried them all! She has good litter box habits.
I am so happy to have Sadie Mae in my life. What a purrfect match!

JINX
I'm a guy who's all about loving and not at all about conflict. As a matter of fact, conflict freaks me out a bit, so I'd like to go into a no conflict home, and in such, I promise to do tons of lap sitting, loving, purring and rubbing, showing my belly, and being one heck of a Romeo-type kitty. Just no skirmishes, cats or people, please, as my sensitive nature isn't up for that!

No new pictures yet
Notes from Home
Jinx has settled beautifully in his new home. He is very affectionate and follows me and my husband around the house. But did you know that he is very partial to the classical music? He loves to listen when i play the piano and often sits on top of my music books on the piano itself. i can't decide what is his favorite piece, but as far as the composers go, he likes Mozart. Jinx has a very good taste!
Bayka, our female cat, was not happy about sharing her home with Jinx. But Jinx took her moods in stride and just ignored her. He has never let himself be drawn into a fight. Things are much better between them now.
Jinx is a true lap cat. He appears on my lap as soon as i sit down. He purrs and talks a lot, and shows me his belly asking for cuddles. A real sweetie. We decided to keep his name "Jinx". We like it and he responded to it from the beginning.
I have uploaded a few pictures so you can see how well he is doing.
Thank you for this wonderful cat!
