ROY
Hi everyone. My name is ROY!
R is for a REALLY big cat - I'm a very big, solid 13 pounds

O is for OUTSTANDING personality - I'm mellow, easy going, and a heatbutting lover.

Y is for YOUR newest lover boy and lap cat - if you have a really big lap.

I've been here a while and am now over the bad shelter cold I had. I'm feeling much better and want you to think about me as your newest lover boy. You can either call me a seal point Snowshoe or a mitted Siamese. I don't have any white on my face as does the typical Snowshoe, but I have a great white bib and feet. My previous human had to go to a nursing home and I'm lucky because the nice shelter folks called foster mom about me. She got me into rescue and I love being here, but I'd love it even more if I had my very own home again. Foster mom says she can't find anything not to like about me - that I'm just the BEST, so please ask about me - BIG ROY BOY!!!

Notes from Home
It is hard to believe that Roy has only been in my life for the last 5 years. He is a loyal, loving, kind-hearted boy. He brings joy into my life. He gets along well with the other humans and furry creatures in the house. I couldn't be happier that we have each other. He has a great life and he is truly home! Thanks to my friend Elaine who saw his picture online and encouraged me to take a chance on opening my heart to him. I could not have imagined at the time how much he'd fill my heart.

TURNER
I lived outside for six months, but I don't want to be outside anymore! I've been a barn cat for the winter months and it ain't what it's cut out to be! Even though I flop down underneath their feet asking for belly rubs, the horses just don't get it. Even though I stand with my dish held out waiting patiently for morning milk, those cows don't get it. Even though I prefer my eggs easy over, with a touch of salt, those chickens don't get it. So I figured maybe if I can get inside someone's front door, they might just get it! I am completely no politics with other cats, am learning how to play, and love to wrap my arms around your neck and give you face kisses, but only after we've made each other's acquaintance for a bit. Quiet home please!

Notes from Home
Turner has been home for 3 weeks now. He was such a scared little man. He would actually shake when you held him. We put him in our back room and spent hours just petting him and brushing him. Gradually he calmed down and began to be comfortable with the sounds and smells of his surroundings. When he started to sit at the gate and cry when we left the room, we removed the baby gate last Monday. This gave him access to the first floor and his newest love is sleeping in bed with us! Course, he thinks you should be up at 2:30 so you can play with him. He is such a love and is getting tons of belly rubs.

It's hard to believe it's only be!en a year since Turner came to his forever home. What a difference a year makes! Turner is happy - while he still runs if he hears a car door shut, the only thing he's afraid of is the "little people". He now comes out when any adults are around thanks in great part to Misty Blue (VA6788). She showed him that people were great., You get food, belly rubs and always a willing lap. A little on the chubby size at 15 lbs, he's been on a diet which has resulted in a lot more playing.

Wow. Turner has been here about 2 1/2 years. We were laughing this morning thinking back to when he first arrived and how we didn't think he'd ever get used to the dogs. NOW he sleeps in the dog bed with Pepper. He still prefers the heated waterbed and hasn't yet learned that he doesn't need to stand and fall over when he wants to cuddle with us. Outside was his desire this summer. Once, we left our screen door open and he scooted out and went under the deck. We had to entice him out with a can of tuna. After that, he went on a very long tether so he at least got outside but was controlled.

Notes from Home
Our little girl is doing quite well and adapting to her new home. We changed her name from Tabitha to Cassiopeia (or Cassie, as I usually refer to her). She loves to play with her toy mice and other cat toys. She's made a special spot on our bed and sleeps with us each night. We recently took her to our vet for a brief check-up. He said she's very healthy, and she's gained two pounds since she joined our family. So, obviously, Cassie is eating well. She is very curious....which has led to a couple of interesting incidences. Recently, she developed quite an interest in the cabinet under our bathroom sink....why, who knows? One day, we couldn't find her anywhere and kept calling her. Finally, I heard this banging sound in the bathroom. I went in there and she had figured out how to open up the cabinet and get in there; however, she couldn't seem to push the cabinet door open enough to get out. So, I opened up the cabinet to let her out and saw that she'd pushed around the bottles of shampoos, hairspray, shaving cream, etc. and made a nice spot for herself to lie down. So, she is definitely making herself at home. I haven't had a chance to upload any photos yet; however, I hope to do that soon. We just love our little girl. She gives our whole family a lot of joy. Thanks again to all the folks at Siamese Rescue for helping to make this adoption possible.

JETHRO
Greetings!

Jethro here, let me introduce myself. I am an older gent of a meezer but that just means I've been loved a lot by my first human. You see he adopted me as a kitten and we were together for more than 10 years. Then along came a wife and a baby who were very allergic to my slick, shiny fur and I ended up living in a den. Now that was nice for awhile but I missed being with people so my "bean" decided to do the best thing for me and found Siamese Rescue. I'm now being fostered with two true wedgie lovers, who have wedgies of their own. I know in time my heart will feel happy again, especially when I find a new forever home. For now, I'm resting and waiting...waiting for you...

Notes from Home
3/18/12
Jethro arrived last night, a very sad looking (although very handsome) boy. He was "glued" in his cube in the back of the carrier. We talked to him and left him alone in his room for a while and when we returned he had eaten and used the litterbox. He was under the bed when we left him.

This morning I found him curled up in the kitty tree/condo. There is a hole in the bottom of that section for the cats to climb in which makes an easy access for a hand, too. So I began talking to him and petting him. After a half hour he began purring! After an hour he was moving around a bit (not much room in the condo) so I could reach more parts to scratch and when I took my hand away he would look out the hole to see where it went. Now he keeps purring even when I am on the bed trying to coax him out. If he stops purring I just have to talk to him from anywhere and he starts again. Can't wait to have him in my arms.

3/19/12
I hated to do it, but I had to pull Jethro out of his cube to give him the Drontal today. He took the pill quite well. The poor boy is so lonesome, he purrs when you pet him while he is tucked in the kittie condo, but as we know it is going to take some time. I slept in the foster room last night and felt him walk across my legs a couple of times, we'll see what happens tonight.

4/22/12
It’s hard to believe it has been over a month since our handsome Jethro came to his forever home. For the first couple of weeks I actually thought if any cat could ever die of a broken heart it would be Jets. Like so many OGUs he was just so very sad. He would still purr when we petted him while he was inside his cube or the kitty condo, but he was so crushed.
He would stay in his cube but run under the bed or bureau when anyone went in his room. It didn’t help that Kent had to literally drag Jethro out of his safe spot for his vet appointment – that set him back a bit.
One of us has slept in his room every night since he got here to help him get used to us. He is really active during the night. We have to lie on the floor to pet him in his cube (we have pine floors – after the first 30 minutes I start to wish we had carpeting!)
You will laugh at his pictures because I had to catch him with a wildlife/night camera. As my friend said when she saw his pictures - he is a handsome dude.
He is still hanging out in his cube but seems to be coming around more and more. He actually came out to eat while Kent was in the room twice (and it was light outside) – even a little progress is a wonderful thing.
We have a long way to go and we can’t wait to be able to hold him and enjoy his company and he ours – we love him so very much.

5/22/12
Great news! Great progress! Jethro has decided that he can trust Kent. A couple of weeks ago he started getting in bed (on Kent's side only). Then he began coming out and watching Kent mornings while he filled the cat food bowl. Then Jets started talking a little bit - of course - to Kent (his voice is tiny so far but I know from experience that it can change!) He is still afraid of me - cowers when I walk toward him, but then purrs when I pet him. Sometimes when he is with Kent and hears me coming he will run away. I am sooo jealous!! I think the woman who was allergic to Jethro must have yelled at him and chased him away.

This past weekend Kent was away and Jethro got in bed with ME one morning (only one but it's a start) AND he gave me a kiss! And, on two days he came out to watch me get his food ready. When Kent returned it was like two long lost friends meeting again. Jets came right out to greet him, purred, talked to him - I am really jealous! Seriously, I am just really happy that Jets is feeling happier than ever here and that he trusts Kent. Besides my turn will come....................

6/27/12
Jethro has made GREAT progress. Finally, the boy doesn't run when I come into a room where he is with Kent. Jets even comes into rooms when I am working/reading. He gets into bed with us (still on Kent's side, of course), loves to be petted and have his belly rubbed and purrs all the time. He has moved out of his cube (huge progress) and occupies one of two pods depending on where the sun is at the time.

Jethro now demands his "special" food aka treats. He has a tiny voice compared to our other meezers, both past and present, but he is persistent. It really seems like he is feeling more like he is home. I don't believe it will be too much longer until Jethro knows he is completely HOME.

9/29/12
Wow, Jethro has been home for a bit over 6 months - doesn't seem possible. He is doing very well, and we enjoy him so much. He and the "girls" still have a little way to go before they are buddies. They tolerate each other and Gladys will eat out of his dish with him - it does make him a bit nervous, but the food wins out over nervousness. Shweetie will occasionally run after him but since Jets is a giant chicken he just runs away and everything gets back to normal quickly. She keeps an eye on him as you will see in his pictures.
The handsome boy now sleeps with us every night and I am no longer in his disfavor. Jethro finally decided that I am okay, too, so I don't have to be jealous any more. He seems very happy here and purrs the minute you touch him. Be sure to check out the new pictures!

DUKE
Do you want a devoted companion?

Do want a bedbuddy?

Do you want an undemanding lap kittie?

Do you want a little meezer conversation?

Well --- then you want me!!!

I'll follow you around but won't get in the way - I just want to be
near you. I'll let you know when I need a little snuggling - AND I will
purr like a rock grinder to show my appreciation. I'll also let you
know when it's breakfast or dinner time - that way you won't have
to check the clock! I'm very helpful that way. You will have to give
me my thyroid pill, but I'm very good about taking it. Foster mom
says I am soooo...easy to care for and to love.

Could you love me?

I'm handsome!

I'm sweet!

I'm loving!

I'm good in all my habits!

What more could you want?

Notes from Home
I am writing for my Mom-Jean, who does not have a computer. Duke is amazing. When we brought him home after a 10 hour car ride he never hid under anything-he explored the entire paremiter of the inside house-first with his tale down and then round 2 was with his tale up. He seems to find a new favorite spot to nap every day-on the bed, in the chair, in his millie bed, on the living room end table and mostly on my Mom's lap. He is gentle, fearless and friendly to everyone. He loves to be close or within sight of Mom. Is often on her lap. His appetite is good and he is using his box except twice he (I guess) needed a change and peed in the bathtub drain. Mom said she didn't care but I pitched a fit and Mom has agreed to shut the sliding door on the tub and strongly encourage the litter box. He takes his Thyroid pills with no problem and let me trim his claws. Mom said that Duke has a great personality and she is so very happy with him. I imagine he will train her well to spoil him. This is a great match. Mom will call Connie next week after she takes Duke to the vet for his check up.

9/29/12. Sorry this took so long- I am writing for my Mom-Jean who does not have a computer. She says Duke is the best cat she has ever had. She is often home and Duke never leaves her sight and is often on her lap. He sleeps with her and loves his play toys in the evening. He also loves cat nip. He has filled out-he is not fat but he is huge. No major medical issues-had some bladder issues and Mom needed to change vets to a more high tech modern practice and Duke got better. He has decided he want 2 litter boxes-one for each-so this is what he has. He sometimes likes to nap on the bed and other times in the window. I go over at least monthly to clip his claws and he is so good. He is not shy or afraid of any new person. He is very calm but Mom said he does have a Meezer voice when he wants something and breakfast time is between 5-6am and he will nuzzle and pat Mom until she gets up. I have pictures on my I-pad but cannot figure out how to send them. If anyone can help please e-mail me. This is a great match.

CLEO
Foster Meowm says that you will not find a sweeter girl around. I may be a Seal Point female but I have absolutely no attitude, none of that diva personality here. She says because I'm so petite that the sweetness took up all the room. I do have a soft voice that I'm not shy to use, especially when I want attention. I love rubbing against my human to the point I flop onto my side. I love rolling around on my back for the pure joy of it. I'm not into being held or being a lap kitty...yet, but perhaps in time.

I am a timid girl with new situations but not with people. I would be happiest in a quiet home with no children where I can be loved on. I would do well with a laid back, sweet natured male cat who will respect my space. Dogs make me nervous with their quick movements, but if they are low energy and laid back I would be ok with them.

While being here I have had perfect litterbox habits with no accidents. I'm being fed a high quality diet (Innova EVO) because supposedly I have a delicate stomach, so no by-products, grains or fillers for me. I'm doing great on the food and gobble it up. FM says only the best for me and I am soooooo worth it.

I enjoy playing with different toys but I'm not a high energy girl. My favorite toy is a catnip-filled banana that I love rubbing myself all over and box kicking the heck out of. I also enjoy anything with feathers, chasing and batting balls around. I love laying around in tall cat trees and bird watching. Nothing better than getting a sun bath.

If you're looking for a petite girl to share your quiet home with, please contact my Foster Meown and let her know.

Purrs & Headbutts,
Cleo

Notes from Home
It has been six months since Cleo entered our lives and we all just adore her. She is a wonderful companion and brightens every one of my days. She is very active, VOCAL, and sweet, loves to play everyday with her various toys (Loves stringy toys the best, and her special catnip banana from her foster Mom Lisa Patnaude). She is also a lapcat and prefers to take her nap on my lap in the afternoons when I read or do my crossword puzzles. Cleo must know where everyone in the family is and is especially receptive when visitors come, or my son comes home from work in the evening.
She is a joy to our lives and we are so grateful to have found her with your help.

9/27/2012 update.
Cleo (we call her "Baby Girl" now full-time) is doing very well. Recently had her physical for the year and is still healthy and happy. We can not believe it has been 4 years since we adopted her. She is truly a joy in our lives (mine particularly as I just turned 85 myself and spend much time at home). She is wonderful company and a loving companion. She is still very vocal and playful, still loves to find new spots to have a nap (just to keep things interesting) and is happy to sit and sleep on my lap while in 'our tv chair'. Her appetite is still good, and she still looks very young -it is hard to believe that she is 14 yrs + !. Many thanks again to all at Siamese Rescue who helped care for her and bring her into our lives -and make this, our home, her 'furever' home as well. -Corinne Murray

Notes from Home
10.10.11. It has been two weeks and 2 days with my beloved PJ. He finally understands that the counter top is a "no deal". All I have to do is snap my fingers and he is down in a flash "BUT MOM!!!!" pout on his face. He discovered the shower curtain, and that's one of his hiding spots, in between the liner and the actual curtain. He doesnt like the vacuum, oy! That is an instant "saucer eye, get me the heck outta here, hide under the dining room table moment". He likes thrifty toys, isnt impressed by fancy Martha Stewart stuff (now I know, haha) LOVES his snake wand, and his catnip carrot, those are his favorite toys, besides the Christmas socks he pulled out of my winter sweater box. I think he has a fancy for the glitter snowflake pattern, or he just got nosy after he went through my sweaters (I caught him red handed digging in the box). He also loves straws or anything that looks like a straw. If I get a soda or juice, turn my back for 10 seconds, hes removed it from the cup and in the corner chewing on it, or tossing it around like a soccer ball. He loves boxes, and the closet. Percy is a tall boy, loves to be picked up and held like a kitten, stretching out, and having his belly rubbed, and rolling on his back and chatting to me. He's mama's little man, and has become quite the lap kitty. If he isn't in my lap, he likes to sit and watch me read or watch TV for a little while then he comes in for the kill, usually with toe nibbles and then scooting his rear end up next to me and curling up... so clever. This week I was a little under the weather and he never left my side unless I got up to get meds or juice, and if I did, he was my shadow, looking up at "mama" talking.

Percy isnt a big eater or a scrap kitty, and I love it. The other day by mistake, I left my hot pocket on the counter in the plastic, all I kept thinking was "he ate it, and now hes going to have tummy issues when I get home". I get home, he met me at the door, and wanted his little night supper snack of wet food, the dry food he devours ONLY when I'm not around. I get the "im starving and havent eaten all day" dramatics usually, haha...but the hotpocket was completely intact, still sitting on the counter . Percy follows me everywhere, and is a skilled leg weaver, loves to tackle my legs when I walk past. He has a fancy for bellbottom pants, and toe rings (imagine that!), he's sneaky . He gives kisses, loves his red blankie and fancy leopard bowls Mama Siri gave him from the Center to bring home (thank you Mama Siri!). He has his little toybox, and when he wants to play, you can see him trot past with his carrot in his mouth, tossing it up. He got his first collar, bright blue to bring out his eyes, a tiny bell so I can hear him, and a little fishbowl "charm", with blue water with a little nemo fish. Percy is my little sidecar...can't do anything but love and protect my soulmate. :-) Andrea

9.25.12- Wow, it has been a year already, and it has been wonderful. PJ (Percy James) is still the love of my life, and wins the hearts of everyone. My little man, my little man, my little man. Seems as if I just picked him up (or met the lovely meezer express) yesterday to bring him home and time has flown by, BUT he is still my favorite and forever baby boy! I have learned alot about my little special guy the past year. He likes toys that make noise, and loves to wake me in the morning for his breakfast by any means necessary. He likes California Natural Salmon and Sweet Potato formula, and wants to have it pronto, or he nips my toes. PJ likes to run out from under the dining room table and attack my legs when I walk past, and does a little oompa loompa dance. His mischievious Dennis the Menace trick? Straws. HE LOVES STRAWS and steals them if I bring a lidded cup home, doesnt touch my mcnuggets or cheeseburger... but takes my straw. I guess before he wasnt a scrap kitty, I let a friend keep him when I went out of town and somehow PJ discovered bacon and hashbrowns, and he has raided my plate once when I turned my head, everyone is pleading the fifth, including PJ (humph!). His favorite spot to sit is the window, and he times me to a science when he thinks I should be home, he knows what the car sounds like as well as the alarm. An overall quiet boy, I get an earful of "fun" if I am late because he wants to lay down with me and cuddle and watch TV, after he has had his num nums and a couple of tablespoons of wet food of course. He will still sell his soul for a belly rub and shows affection by purring like a harley and licking your arms or face, but if you get too close, he will nip when he's annoyed, but dont we all? Of course he still plays rough if he gets too excited, but I think he is just stating his "manhood". He likes my friends, and is quite friendly and vocal, or he will just sit and stare like Alfred HItchcock, sizing you up, my friend's 4 year old daughter likes him, and he likes her, maybe its a girl thing? Everyone talks about what a tall tom he is. But ever so handsome and personality with just enough type A not to be impossiblem he is a little skittish at the vet, but they make special provisions when he goes in, NO DOGS allowed in the office on PJ day ( yeah, we learned that the hard way). He's the first face I want to see in the morning and the last one I want to see at night..my Percy J. Please see the pics I have included. One is his love of the washer and his best Playcat pose for "zee ladies", the other is him in his favorite hideout above the cabinets, all he is missing is the trucker hat with his little arm hanging out the window, and if I could just get a decent picture of him in a bag or a box without him looking like the Omen? that would be nice!!! We love you all at the Rescue! - and what is this buzz from Miss Kathi I heard about the calendar? tee hee heee! :-) Love Andrea and PJ!

CHELAN
Hey there, yes, you!

Come on and ask about me so I get blow this joint! It's ok, but I don't like this cage thing. I'd rather be on a lap. Is yours available?

Ask about me and we'll try to make the arrangements!

Purrs,

Jagger

Notes from Home
Chelan's first trip to the vet on 9/14/2012 went well. The vet and vet techs there said he was a very sweet cat and they all thought he was beautiful. He weighed in at 8.14 lbs and his general appearance was normal. He had a little bit of a viral upper respiratory infection but that seems to be all cleared up now.
He was treated for worms and had a stool sample taken but no other parasites were found. This is because his poop seemed to be irregular.
He had a little bit of a case of diarrhea a couple days ago, but I think that was because he got into the trash and was eating leftover fried chicken.

He loves to play with his toys and my roommate's 5 month old kitten. They are a rough and tumble pair and they are starting to not play all the time and just enjoy each other's company.

He definitely likes to be petted and loved on, but he is also quick to let you know when he wants you away from him. Unfortunately that usually means that Chelan goes to bite when he does not want you to pet him anymore. My roommate, boyfriend, and I have on separate occasions been petting him and Chelan will appear to be happy, and then the next second he will go to bite your hand and sometimes he does. We try to firmly tell him no and ignore him, but ignoring him seems to be what he wants.
He does not enjoy baths very much. I had to give him a couple because his diarrhea was getting in his fur and he would start yowling and quickly progress to scratching and biting, especially because the area I had to wash was mostly his backside.

He is a beautiful cat, and when he is happy and wants attention he is so very sweet, but he also seems to have an irritable side that comes out especially when you don't let him have or do what he wants.
