ZOEY
A true seal diva - moody, opinionated, highly intelligent, interactive and very loving and affectionate but on my own terms. Although I can peacefully coexist with another cat (ok, maybe not completely peacefully since I can scream like a banshee when I want to if one gets too close), I prefer to be your one and only.

I'm actually a very low maintenance lady - not wild and crazy like a kitten, not overly needy and clingy, I'm happy spending my days alone while you work (after all, you need to work to be able to buy my food !) and I have absolutely purrfect litterbox etiquette.

Want more info ? Well then, go ahead and hit the Ask About Me and Foster Meowm will be happy to email back with lots of info !

Notes from Home
Zoey continues to be a source of pleasure. Her favorite sleeping spot right now is a Skechers' shoebox - if you can picture an almost 15 lb cat in one. Fortunately, the cardboard reshapes itself! With the warmer weather and open windows, she enjoys watching whatever is flying out there. No, she is not alone with only the screens between her and "freedom". Recently, she has returned to her game of trying to get out the door as I come in at night. Since I am on the top floor of the building, only my next door neighbors are wondering why I keep the lid to a styrofoam cooler in the hallway. It is an excellent defense system against escaping cats. Zoey decided she was tired of the food she had been eating, so we went through the trial and error phase again. Naturally, she chose some of the more expensive varieties and will have nothing to do with that "healthy" stuff. Watched me eating, I guess. I do have pictures on my digital camera, but I have not a clue on how to upload them. She remains gorgeous and a diva!

10/21/12
I was given to understand that the above didn't go through, although I am certainly reading it. Let's hope this update is more successful.

Zoey and I had a few moments along the way as she became quite the biter, inflicting a few scars. Multiple trips to the vet and trial and error with medications became the norm. She was on a medication for quite some time, but I discontinued it myself when she continued to bite. However, I am happy to say that the biting has decreased substantially.

Last winter, she gained a new companion. Not a meezer, but a rescue just the same. Although it was tense initially, the two of them are fine together and have been for quite some time. In fact, the new and much younger addition has seemed to help Zoey remember she is a cat and how to play.

Zoey continues to be focused on food and has gained more weight than she should. She requested no pictures as she does understand that she could pose for the fat cats' calendar. Because of her size, her grooming is less than optimal; thus, we have a mobile groomer visit her on a regular basis. She loves the attention.

I believe all three of us are content with each other, and it has been a successful venture.

10/19/12 We are very happy with the cats, love them both. Angel is still shy, and, quiet,, rather stay in my bedroom or bath, but follows me around, to be petted. Loves to be brushed, purrs & purrs. I fixed her a seat, to look out window, which she loves. Tom would like to play with her, grabs her as she walks bye, licks her ear, etc. She doesnt like that, at all. Runs to me, to save her, when he gets to friendly. Sits between my legs, and smirks at him. They are some pair-keeps us entertained.
We took them to have nails clipped, were getting snagged on bedding, etc. Went pretty good, they did it so fast. We are very happy , with them both. Thanks again, Barbara.

MAX
I am at last ready to enter the adoption pool. I was very thin (I still am) and had a very bad upper respiratory infection when I arrived. Foster mom said I was very sad and had no energy. I am recovering well and gaining weight. No other apparent problems. I am a very big guy and at 10 lbs still thin. I'll probably look good around 12 pounds. I'm still in iso so my entire personality is still a mystery but I am very sweet natured and love to be petted and cuddled.

Notes from Home
It's hard for us to believe Max has been with us three years! During that time we've experience huge changes in our lives involving a long and difficult period of health issues. It's simply impossible to fully describe how comfoting Max was during the dark days and how joyful during the good ones. We are thankfully enjoying a recovery period now and can appreciate even more how much Max has grown since he has been with us. He came to us with some "issues" that occasionally made life challenging. He has worked through them amazingly well and today is truly a solid little citizen, bringing joy not only to us but also to guests who are immediately enchanted by him. He has been an inspiration, a source of love and fun, and we are thankful every day that he became a member of our family. We share information about Siamese Cat Rescue at every opportunity, happily encouraging others to experience the joys of adoption! Thank you - thank you again and again.

SAMI
I'm a darling little lynx kitten, nicely marked and a bit of a ruffian. Need a tom boy kitten who likes to roughhouse and play? I bite bare toes, too. Sometimes I even allow a quick snuggle, but I'm way to busy for that cuddly stuff.

RESPINA
If it's a beautiful, Meezer Princess you are looking for, then look no further!! I'm Respina and I am 11 pounds of pure silkiness for you to snuggle up with and I have the deepest blue eyes for you to look into...and brag about. I am a head-butter, lap warmer and my litter box habits are outstanding. My estimated age is 7 years, which is GREAT news for you-that means no training me on what NOT to do. I will wake up when you wake up. I will fall asleep when you fall asleep. I will be by your side when you need me...isn't that what best friends are for? I will be loyal to you, if you give me a chance. Can you find the space in YOUR loving home to make it, MY furr-ever home? I hope to hear and see you soon.

Many head-butts,
Respina

Today is Respina's two year anniversary and we couldn't be happier! For her 'birthday' I purchased a cat fountain for her, which she is still a little pensive to use as she's used to the bathroom faucet. While she still isn't a big fan of Jimmy the Weasel, she definitely has adopted the rest of us. She loves to sleep on me at bedtime and often plops herself on one of us after dinner to remind us that we are HER pets. Thank you Siamese Rescue Center for a a wonderful furrever friend!

Whew, I am still figuring out what to make of all this food. I hear their are more flavors? Yum! I love playing with my siblings so you could pick me and someone else. :) I do expect to be allowed to be my diva self. That means I need a castle to rule over. Is yours available?

Notes from Home
09-19-11 - Just a quick note about Jamie and her entering her new forever home. Jamie's foster was just wonderful in letting us know about Jamie and her personality. Jamie was a little shy when we would go visit her, but Shirley B. felt sure that with time Jamie would blossom into a real outgoing a social kitten. We talked about this on the way home with the kids after picking up Jamie once the adoption was finalized and made a point with the kids not to rush things with Jamie. So we had a well laid out plan. Jamie however wasn't having any part of that plan. We got her home and in her room, and while we all expected her to be stressed out and shy, boy did she have other plans. The shyness lasted just a few minutes really, as we were unpacking her toys and food, she came out and started playing and just showed us a side of her that we had only hoped would develop in the weeks to come.

It has only been three days since Jamie came home and it is amazing to watch how she becomes more and more comfortable with us, it is up to the point now where she runs to great anyone that enters the room and is no longer afraid of the people that are walking around. At first she would shy away from anyone until they got down on the floor with her.

My whole family would like to thank Shirley B. for the care and dedication she shows toward all of her foster cats, for opening up her home to us so that we could visit with Jamie while we tried to make up our minds. We would also like to thank everyone else that makes up the Siamese Cat Rescue Center, you are truely special people and it shows in every aspect of the adoption process. Thanks to all of you, Jamie has found her forever home and is a perfect match for our family, we can already see that in just a few short days. More updates later as Jamie blossoms even more....

10-1-11 - Well Jamie has been home for two weeks now and the transformation has been wonderful. She is no longer a shy little kitty. Where any sudden noise would cause her to scatter before, she now just looks around to see what it was. She is very curious an has now ventured out of her safe room.

She went for her vet visit yesterday and has put on almost a pound since we brought her home. The vet was super impressed with all of the detailed records that the Siamese Cat Rescue Center sent them. She only got mad one time when the Vet took her temperature, (can't say I blame her).

Jamie does not like to be cooped up in the carrier, she is normally very quiet but boy does she show off her lungs when you lock her in the pet carrier. When we got back home she was super loving as if to say "if you don't ever put me back in there I will headbut you forever."

10-17-12 We have had Jamie for a little over a year now and she has truly taken over the house. We each fit into her schedule, my time is first thing in the morning, she likes to help me get ready for work and gives me tips on how she would do it the entire time. If I happen to forget to leave the door open to the bedroom, she will sit outside and yell at me until I open the door. Once I am dressed she demands some cuddle time and will attempt to climp up my leg if I am not fast enough picking her up. Once this is done she goes and finds the kids and makes sure that they are dressed and attending to her breakfast.

Jamie hates socks for some strange reason. She attacks our feet if we wear them, and she hates colored dress sock most of all, I have to be fast changing out of my work clothes in the evening or she goes after the dress socks with a vengence. Once I put on my regular white athletic socks she eases up a little, but she still isn't wild about them. Bare feet are not a problem, nor shoes, but socks she hates. If I take the sock off and dangle it at her boy she tears into it.

Notes from Home
10/16/2012. Can you believe I've been here a year? I get along ok with big sis Flick, but we still chase each other. Meowm and Paw aren't sure if it's all play or posturing... It took until Memorial Day and a lot of patience before Flick and I decided we could get along for the most part without the option of a babygate. i very much love Meowm and Paw. I love to jump up and rub my face in their faces and purr away. They call me their Lovecat. I also just went to the vet for my 1 yr check-up and everything is great. I am exactly 10 lbs and all healthy Lovecat. Meowm uploaded a couple recent pics...

9/18/2011

Hi, everyone,
This is Meeshe here and my new parents are calling me "Roxie". I've been at my new purr-purrmanent home for about 48 hours and I've been doing everything that I am supposed to and more! I was the best little travel kitten my new parents have ever seen. I played with them within minutes of coming out of my carrier in my own room, where I have lots of toys, great food and a big person bed to play on and sleep on. I ate kitten food and drank water and showed that I know how to use my litterbox properly within just a couple of hours of being in my new home. I also showed them what a big purr motor I have. I can purr and purr and purr until we all fall asleep in that big bed and then if we wake up, I purr and purr and purr until I fall asleep again! While my parents are at work, I can look out some windows and see the whole world go by. And I showed my Mom and Dad how comfortable I am here by climbing up their backs, sitting on their shoulders and nibbling their ears. I will go to my new vet for my final shots at the end of next week and this weekend I am going to meet my big sister who Mom and Dad call Flick. It's all so exciting!

9/22/2011 Well, I'm officially out of ISO. I met my big sister Flick and I've been running around the house like I own it! I did sleep in ISO with Mom last night, but I don't think I want to go back in there alone anymore! Flick and I are still a little unsure of each other, but we'll figure it out. By the way, I was helping my Mom type up an email update to my foster mom and interviewer, so take a look at the pic of me telling her what to say!

ADONI
Hi there!

I'm Adoni, and I'm just 3 1/2 months old, but already know I love people! As soon as anyone touches me, my motor starts up and doesn't stop.

Meowmy said I have an umblicial hernia that will get repaired when I go to get my "education" and then I'll be perfect.

I love to play, but love to be cuddled, too. Ask about me and maybe you'll be the lucky one to be able to cuddle and play with me.

Purrs,

Adoni

Notes from Home
We've had Moe (previously known as Adoni) for 3 weeks now and he's all settled in to his new home. Mitzie wasn't too sure about him at first but was very interested in watching everything he did. He's winning her over slowly but surely! They chase each other all over the house and have been caught giving each other a bath. I'm sure once it gets a little colder they'll be slepping all piled together.

Moe is a real sweetheart. He starts purring as soon as you look at him! He has such a cute little voice - he's starting to talk more and more but sometimes just lets out little squeaks!
His markings are starting to come in more too - we've never had a flame point before and just love the pure white with the subtle hints of orange - so beautiful!

We're so lucky to have him. Many, many thanks to all the wonderful volunteers at VA Siamese Rescue for giving us this wonderful little guy!!!!

LOTUS
Hi, Lotus here.

Just arrived. Siamese rescue saved me from a scary life where a bully cat had me living in a bathroom.

My foster mom says that like my flower name, I am ready to bloom with affection from a welcoming home.

What describes me: friendly, petite, very pretty, good eater, perfect litter box habits.

What I like: being petted and brushed, playing soccer with my toys and pounce with my feather wand.

For now I might like to be your one and only but foster mom will update you if that changes. If you and I might be right for each other, give me a shout.

Notes from Home
Lotus has now been with me for 6 months and I could not ask for a better feline companion. She is a quiet and somewhat shy kitty...now responding to her new "name" which is Kitty Kitty. She greets me at the kitchen door when I come home, sleeps with me at night and pretty much keeps tabs on me throughout the day. She is starting to stick around when other people are in the house instead of fleeing to hide in an upstairs closet or under a bed. She has fine litter box habits and is eating very well. Her weight is almost identical to her starting weight. She doesn't scratch on furniture much but shows no interest in the scratching post. She tends to play independently...frequently in the middle of the night and loves her two grey mice best of all. When she plays is the only time she makes any noise. She seems to like watching TV..especially likes The Dog Whisperer and any show with birds in it. She has yet to sit on my lap but will do a drive-by walk over me for a quick scratch when I am on the couch. All in all she is a wonderful kitty.

BUGSY
Hi Folks! What do you say? Do you want a quiet, friendly fella to hang out with you? I won't even scratch your furniture! I get along fine with other respectful kitties but I can take them or leave them. I would really like to spend my time relaxing with you. Let me know if you want to spend your days relaxing with me and I'm sure we can work something out :) Click on my Ask About Me Link so Foster Mom can make the arrangements for us, OK? I'll be here waiting.

Love,

Bugsy is doing great! He and Beanie are best friends. And we love them as much as they love each other. They are both healthy though they have both been to the vet a few times for minor upper respiratory problems which he thinks they will grow out of (become immune to). I have an appointment to bring both of them for their annual checkups next week. xoxo
