IDALIA
Hello...Tilly here. I just arrived here with my foster mom & I'm kinda liking the service around here. I have a little crush on my litter mate Gizmo & I think he likes me too. We play together & have a great time. I have not kissed him yet, as a gal does have rules...no kissing on the first date, but we cuddled together all night long.

I'm very sweet & will purr if you look at me & talk sweet to me. I can't wait to find my forever family & I sure hope you have room for Gizmo too!

Purrs,
Tilly

Notes from Home
Idalia is a BIG trouble maker! There are a few doors we keep closed to keep her and her brother out of, but the minute she hears the door open, she is suddenly nearby trying to make it into the places we do not want her to be.

We have a pet mouse, and she really enjoys laying on the table we keep the mouse on and is content to just watch it do its mousey thing, and occasionally they sniff each other.

We have a dragonfly wand toy that she absolutely detests, or loves, we're not sure. She turns into a gymnast to get to it. She also enjoys chasing her brother, squishy balls, and climbing to the top of the cat climber in the most difficult way possible,

Idalia also enjoys being where we are, and she sets acceptable times to cuddle. We have various comfy sleeping locations, but she will choose odd locations and complicated positions to relax in as long as it near us. Despite being a tiny little kitten, she takes up as much as room as possible on our bed when it becomes bed time. In fact, if she can manage to sleep on one of us, the better.

KELLEN
Am I not the most handsome boy you have laid your eyes on? Not only am I handsome, but I'm sweet! I'm especially sweet with my litter mate Tilly...I love playing with her. Do you have room for two? If so....don't hesitate to ask about me!

Gotta go.....lots to do around here....

Kellen is a big warm, fuzzy ball of love. He enjoys playing with the wand toy, so long as he doesn't have to jump TOO much to get it. He is a big fan of the cat climber I built him.

Kellen also likes to make sure he is fed by 7AM every morning, even weekends. He doesn't appreciate our desire to sleep in and plays with our feet until his point is made.

He likes to be where we are. If we are working at our desks, he is on the desk, usually in the way...

He enjoys having his belly rubbed and only cries if we don't make up his dinner fast enough. He's gotten bigger than Idalia and isn't quite yet aware that he is stronger than her when playing.

MISTY
I am about 2 and a beautiful blue.....

There I was - abandoned without any money for food or shelter and scared. SCRC to the rescue. After 2 weeks with foster Mom I am learning to rely on and trust people again.

I chat with her in a soft chirpy voice and cuddle with her during naps/sleepovers. I love to be petted and brushed. I am starting to explore the house and play with toys. I am a good eater and have perfect litter box habits.

Loving people who let me get comfortable at my own pace will be rewarded with a devoted companion.

Misty

UPDATE FROM FOSTER MOM:

Misty is a wonderful cat - smart, beautiful, pleasantly chatty, playful with toys. She cuddles, purrs and kneads her paws in delight when petted. She will snuggle right up next to you if you like a sleep or nap companion.

She is looking for her special people and would be happiest and most comfortable as a one and only. She likes my 55 pound dog, who is indifferent to cats.

Misty has been with us 1 week. She is taking over the house quite appropriately. Talking vociferously. She eats well and uses the litter box flawlessly. Next challenge is getting her into her carrier for trip to the vet this Friday.

DINOZZO
Just beeeyoooteeful athletically inclined young, strapping, friendly, outgoing wonderful boy! You're going to love me!

Notes from Home
DiNozzo is doing well. We are having some issues where we like to run in front of our people and knock them over...so the humans just have to be aware of where the 14 pound cat is.

We are learning about having our nails trimmed. We don't like our paws played with all that much but if we are napping next to our human, we tend not to pay attention to what is going on once asleep.

I have a baby sister now and I like to photo bomb (attack) her when she is not paying attention. But she doesn't put up with my overbearing and she puts up a fuss and swats at me when I'm a bully.

All in all, we are doing well. I am still a snuggler and love to sleep with my humans.

COLEMAN
Hi - my name is Coleman. My brother, Peyton, and I are so happy to be in rescue and safe. I am just a big lover boy who will headbutt you at every opportunity. I have a bit of a "fever coat" right now because I got pretty sick while I was in the shelter and had a high temp. My face should be all dark again, I hope, before I go to my foever home. I am doing very well in rescue and love having all the food I can eat. I am still a bit underweight, but the way I'm eating, foster mom says I'll be up to a good weight in no time. I know my name and come running when you call me. If you would like two great boys, Peyton and I could sure go home together and that would make us happy, but we could also go home by ourselves. I am a survivor and really deserve a second chance at life. Purrs, headbutts and love to you - please ask about me, Coleman

Coleman (yes, he liked that name so we kept it!) is happy and healthy and we love him dearly!! He lives with two female dogs: one is a playful and "pushy" corgi and the other is an older mixed breed who is tolerant of these youngsters.

Coleman loves to be cuddled and usually sleeps on a shoulder or stretched alngside me. If you are in a recliner, he likes to get under your chin to sleep. He is quite insistent about having regular conversations - especially at mealtimes! I have an automatiic feeder and Coleman is diligent about announcing it is time for the food to appear. He is a great"mouser" and has been known to leave small remnants of critters he has caught and dealt with.

What can I say other than I love this cat!! He is beautiful, smart, and loving. I could not have asked for a better match...he has a FOREVER home with me! You cannot have him back!!

Notes from Home
I can't believe it's been four years since this wonderful boy came into my life. He is the joyful terror of the household, chasing his sisters and wrestling with his brother and always doing something that terrifies me -- like sitting on the kitchen counter and sticking his paw through the side opening when the refrigerator door is open. I live in fear that one day I won't notice and I'll close the door and his little leg will get broken! Mostly likely, though, Houdini will "get" me before I get him -- most likely by tripping me down the stairs -- he paces me wherever I go. But, he is a constant joy and the darling of our friends and pet sitter -- it's amazing how much personality and energy is stuffed into one 10 lb boy. I haven't reported faithfully, but Boo, Kirea and Gaby (formerly Tiny) are all doing very well, too. Everyone is healthy and happy!

AMBROS
Golly, I thought I had my forever home but they decided on a puppy instead of cute me. I am now looking again for my forever home.

I have a great personality and I am a sweet baby. I do need a very playful companion because I love to play and I am not afraid of even the biggest cat here. I would be very lonely without a playmate.

Ambros is doing fine. He's had two visits to the Dr.'s. Once for his check up and the second visit was last week for a problem with his right eye. He's getting drops for ten days in each eye and hopefully will be just fine. He is a very happy little guy and loves his playmate Sky. He's a very active and loveable kitten. We are enjoying every single day and are amazed with his progress. Ambros is unique, adorable and very special. We fell in love with Ambros from the very first day, and we continue to love having him with us every day. Thank you Jane and Siamese Rescue!

PEEKABOO
Sweet, busy little girl looking for a quiet home with a kitty play mate !

No new pictures yet
Notes from Home
9/26/2012 - Peekaboo has been blossoming in the last few days since she arrived on Sat. 9/22/2012. She met the dogs and is especially smitten with Sydney. She would always try to bury her face in his paws (paw fetish perhaps?), which would always send him fleeing from this odd furball of bizarreness. Ada's quite interested in her too but her dog-style grooming is just too rough for little Peekaboo right now. Peekaboo and Rembrandt also played catch-me-if-you-can today when I allowed her out to explore while preparing their breakfast. No extensive contact allowed between them yet but Rembrandt laying down in front of her to entice her to play was a good sign. Peekaboo was just too busy climbing up boxes! She also took a late afternoon nap with me, on my neck! :) *uploaded 4 pictures*

10/03/2012 - Integration of Peekaboo into our pack is going smoothly! Rembrandt and Peekaboo have started playing with each other (a bit rough from time to time but no hissing or growling) and they both slept in my lap last night while I was passed out under the most-coveted heated throw in this house. Rembrandt has attempted to groom Peekaboo a few times but she'd always punch him in the face and show him that she is the ONLY one allowed to groom anybody. This little one can be a feisty fiend sometimes! We have started to shun her when she gets her mean streak on so she doesn't get the idea that "mean" means she gets whatever she wants. She's easily distracted by treats so that's always a good sign for her to participate in useless dog tricks training in the future. *uploaded 2 pictures*

10/10/2012 - This week Peekaboo met a kitty-friendly dog who came to stay with us for a few nights and held her own against that cold, wet and inquisitive nose. They sniffed faces through the baby gate but the civility was broken up by Rembrandt's insistence of sitting 2 feet from the baby gate to stare at the guest dog. Fun for cats, not so much for the poor guest dog. Peekaboo also had her first night out sleeping wherever she wanted last night. She slept on my neck for a while then left to do a round of kitty derby with Rembrandt. Then when I got up to check what they were up to since it got suspiciously quiet out there, I found Rembrandt and Peekaboo in the same bed, FINALLY! So happy the kitties are comfortable sharing sleeping space now. Integration is now complete. What's next...cuddling? Well that happened too! *uploaded 3 pictures*

10/22/2012 - Can't believe Peekaboo has been with us for only a month. It feels more like she's been with us for a year! Peekaboo's settling in nicely and getting along with Rembrandt quite well. They will cuddle at least once a day for a nap, then at night she'd wait for me to get in bed so she could then snuggle with me on my chest. She's not too fond of the dogs anymore and have stopped seeking their attention. It may have to do with her not realizing those oafs would step on her should she get in the way of them going places. I think they are just fine with not having a kitten darting between their legs so I'm glad she's finally learned to get out of the way of the doggie stampede. *uploaded 2 pictures*

GWENDOLYN
Foster mom calls me a "ghetto cat". That's because, until I was rescued, I was living on the streets. I had 2 babies, both of whom were hit by cars, and I was expecting more when I was rescued.

The nice people at the shelter clinic fixed things so that I would not have any more babies. They made sure I was healthy and gave me something called vaccines so I would stay that way too! A really nice lady took me home and fed me and took care of me until foster mom had room for me at her house. And that's where I am now.

I have decided that I like being inside where it is safe, warm, and dry. I like not having to scrounge for food anymore too. And I have decided that I really like people - they talk to me, feed me, pet me, make sure my litter box is clean - yep, this is the life!

Would you like a little seal girl with pretty white feet to come and live with you? If you would, just hit that ask about me paw and foster mom will hook us up!

Love,

Gwen (Former Ghetto Cat)

Miss Gwendolyn is doing quite well. She's quite the Alpha-kitty, and is, generally speaking, quiet... unless of course she's hungry! Gwendolyn has certainly been a fantastic addition to our family. We have a fantastic relationship (there's even a little bit of a lap cat in there somewhere!)

Her favorite toys are peacock feathers and her cardboard scratcher/lounger. Her favorite food is Advantage Flaked Turkey.

ZOEY
A true seal diva - moody, opinionated, highly intelligent, interactive and very loving and affectionate but on my own terms. Although I can peacefully coexist with another cat (ok, maybe not completely peacefully since I can scream like a banshee when I want to if one gets too close), I prefer to be your one and only.

I'm actually a very low maintenance lady - not wild and crazy like a kitten, not overly needy and clingy, I'm happy spending my days alone while you work (after all, you need to work to be able to buy my food !) and I have absolutely purrfect litterbox etiquette.

Want more info ? Well then, go ahead and hit the Ask About Me and Foster Meowm will be happy to email back with lots of info !

Notes from Home
Zoey continues to be a source of pleasure. Her favorite sleeping spot right now is a Skechers' shoebox - if you can picture an almost 15 lb cat in one. Fortunately, the cardboard reshapes itself! With the warmer weather and open windows, she enjoys watching whatever is flying out there. No, she is not alone with only the screens between her and "freedom". Recently, she has returned to her game of trying to get out the door as I come in at night. Since I am on the top floor of the building, only my next door neighbors are wondering why I keep the lid to a styrofoam cooler in the hallway. It is an excellent defense system against escaping cats. Zoey decided she was tired of the food she had been eating, so we went through the trial and error phase again. Naturally, she chose some of the more expensive varieties and will have nothing to do with that "healthy" stuff. Watched me eating, I guess. I do have pictures on my digital camera, but I have not a clue on how to upload them. She remains gorgeous and a diva!

10/21/12
I was given to understand that the above didn't go through, although I am certainly reading it. Let's hope this update is more successful.

Zoey and I had a few moments along the way as she became quite the biter, inflicting a few scars. Multiple trips to the vet and trial and error with medications became the norm. She was on a medication for quite some time, but I discontinued it myself when she continued to bite. However, I am happy to say that the biting has decreased substantially.

Last winter, she gained a new companion. Not a meezer, but a rescue just the same. Although it was tense initially, the two of them are fine together and have been for quite some time. In fact, the new and much younger addition has seemed to help Zoey remember she is a cat and how to play.

Zoey continues to be focused on food and has gained more weight than she should. She requested no pictures as she does understand that she could pose for the fat cats' calendar. Because of her size, her grooming is less than optimal; thus, we have a mobile groomer visit her on a regular basis. She loves the attention.

I believe all three of us are content with each other, and it has been a successful venture.
