CARRIE
Foster Meowm says I should have been named "Very" because I'm Very Tortie, Very Wedgie, Very Vocal, Very Agile, Very Curious, and Very, Very Affectionate and Loving ! Oh yes, I'm also Very Unique - you'll never ever see another cat exactly like me because no two torties ever have the same markings - maybe similar but never exactly the same.
Although I'd prefer to be your one and only and not have to share my purrson with any other furry creatures, Foster Meowm does believe that I may be able to live with a very laidback cat who will give me my space and doesn't demand too much of of my purrson's attention. But beware that I can do a really fine job of hissing and growling when I feel it's necessary - mostly vocal but I'm not above a quick smack to reinforce my point !

Foster Notes for Caramel [VA6744] |
Please be sure you have the long term time and dedication and desire to have such a needy, clingy, and involved cat, because Caramel is going to expect no less!
These type of cats are fairly insecure, don't take to change very well, bond very. very tightly with their humans, and really need an enormous amount of attention. Think of having a very insecure clingy hanging-onto-you-for-dear-life small child type cat. That's what you're likely to get and they can be quite intense. They are about as much of a "people-cat" as you can possibly get.

Notes from Home
1-23-10 Carrie and I made friends during the long ride home. I stopped often to let her out of her Meezer Express carrier to explore the car and ME. At one point, I took a nap and she crawled underneath my jacket to sleep on my chest! Ahhhhh. By the way, I changed her name from Caramel [VA6744] to Carrie. So far she likes her iso room. She is altogether the most affectionate, and affection-seeking Siamese I've ever met. I love her!
2-7-10 For the first 10 days, we kept Carrie in the iso room and I slept there at night. I also used our study as an iso room during the day so I could work on my computer with Carrie in the room with me. She does not like being left alone. Carrie really likes my husband. Once iso was done she emerged into the household. What a busy cat! She explored every nook and cranny and discovered that the main windows of our house all face south: designed for cat sunbathing. Within a day, Moet and Carrie were lying about one foot apart in the sun. Carrie usually wants to be wherever I am, which is what I asked for. She loves to sit on my lap and just have my hand resting on her. She knows her name and comes when called. One neighbor visited, and Carrie was curious and friendly. So things are going very well!
2-24-10 I love Carrie very much. I am so grateful SCRC/Marjorie/Joyce decided to let me adopt her. She is a perfect companion for me. She is constantly exploring all the places and objects in our house in greater detail. She noses her way into every corner, every basket, every opening; she jumps onto every surface, no matter how high, always inspecting and deciding what's interesting. She has joined Moet in the Great Winter Mouse Hunt. We've never put poison out, only the catch & release boxes. But Moet usually gets them first, and now Carrie seems to want to "score" in this department. There's a new photo, "Carrie stands proud." Isn't she gorgeous! Neighbors and friends have met her now and all think she's the most exotic cat they've ever met. She shows her Southern roots by extending warm hospitality to all. Not shy at all.
4-10-10 Carrie recently discovered a toy bird in a small wooden birdcage. It didn't take her long to "liberate" the bird from its confinement. Her next task is to detach the bird from the cord that holds it to the cage. I'm sure she's up to the challenge. Her curiosity knows no bounds and amuses us no end.
7-29-10 It's Carrie's 6th-month anniversary with us. The new photos I've posted show off those incredible dark blue eyes.
1-24-12 2nd Anniversary Update: Carrie has settled here nicely. Our 17-year-old ladycat Moet now seems to like Carrie. We've hosted a reunion of Emily's college friends - a small house filled with 7 young adults. The no-longer-shy Carrie easily approached each person and got lots of delicate petting. This winter Carrie has perfected the art of burrowing in under covers. Just when I think Carrie has explored every surface, nook and object in our house, she finds another. She's been to the vet recently and was declared healthy. I love her very much and she is happy with her Meowm. All is well.
6-13-12 - Carrie has upped her playful behavior. We have a basket of cat toys on the floor and now she regularly takes a toy and bats it around playfully all by herself. And she talks directly to me a lot now.
12-12-12 It is wonderful to love a Siamese cat, because they perfectly know how to love a human. Carrie will be missed but never forgotten.

Notes from Home
Loki is a fearless kitten, who adjusted almost immediately to his forever home. Being kept in a safe room and gradual introductions to the resident Great Dane mix year old puppy was NOT part of Loki's agenda. After bringing Loki home and getting him settled in the aforementioned safe room, I went to pick up the dog from his all day play date (to tire him out) from the neighbor around the corner. Immediately after we unlocked the door and came in the house, Loki comes bouncing down the stairs having escaped the safe room. There was some initial tail puffiness and mutual smelling but Loki seemed to take the 90 lb pup in stride. I kept the dog on his leash to make control easier, but it really wasn't necessary. To make a long story short, we all slept together in bed that night. Loki and Rugi (the puppy) now play chase thrpugh the house and have a great time together. Loki has found every possible spot that he can fit where teh dog can not and uses these spots to his advantage. At the end of the day, following on the pattern set from day 1, we all pile in to bed together to rest and prepare for the next day's fun.
12/10/12
Loki continues to bring my partner and I, and the dog a lot of fun and pleasure, although I am not sure if foot attacks in bed at 6:30 am can always be defined as pleasure. The two fur kids continue to indulge in chases through the house at various times of the day and Loki cries at teh door when I take the dog for his walks. I've uploaded the newest photo which really shows the bond that is developing between the dog and the cat.

Notes from Home
Racci, now named Tira is doing VERY well. She is purring ALL the time, and has eaten all her food. She comes to us when we call her and allows us to pick her up to hold her. She LOVES being loved and petted for a long period of time, and never enough. LOL! She plays with her new toys and some toys not quite sure, but in time will play with them as well. She has picked up a new habit 3x of nipping, which we were told not to give her attention on that. It's when she gets a little too hyper with playing I think. She only has shyness with sounds, which is understandable and will go hide under the bed. It's all very new to her here in our home. Once she sees there is no harm to her, and gets used to sounds, or door opening etc she will get more comfortable. Her boldness has already been shown that she isn't timid or afraid w/us here. We even had friends over that she allowed hold her and play. Very loving and social kitty and we are VERY happy with her! THANK YOU! Tira is in good hands, very loved, and cared for. She will be spoiled for sure. :D

SWeeeeeeeet! But I don't travel so well, so let's make my home a close one! I come from an owner who is losing her home, and I have all my history to share with you so you'll know exactly what you're getting! How about a sweet boy like me?

Notes from Home
Here's an update as of 3 July 2012:
Well, it's been just over a month since we picked up "PT" (Puddy Tat), formerly known as "Moda".
The first week he was very shy and tentative, but ate well and used his litter box like a champ.
The second week he warmed up a bit more and was allowed to explore the whole house; he still hid a bit and was skittish, but seemed relaxed enough and was eating well. The 3rd week was more of the same, with improvements every day. And now, just after the 4th week, he is getting more and more affectionate, likes to play, and even seems to want to play "hide and seek", racing around the house expecting you to chase after him and look for him. He sleeps on the end of the bed for the beginning of the night, then usually moves to underneath the bed; we've noticed that he likes to rest underneath things sometimes. He is still eating well and using his box properly, and has some play time at least twice a day with us. We will start to change his meal plan soon in order to lose a little weight; he is still at exactly 15 pounds.
5 December 2012:
Well, it has been just over 6 months that PT has joined our home. He certainly has us trained well! He is more and more affectionate, in his own way. His real "meezer" voice has also come out; he often wakes us at 5 or 6 AM with loud calls, wanting to play. He loves to play with his Kong tunnel, and generally anything that he can jump under to start a running approach to capturing the elusive string toy. He sleeps on the bed with us each night, but interestingly, once the TV in the bedroom goes off, he gets up and goes to his favorite chair in the basement. He sleeps there until he decides it's time to wake us with his yowl at 5 or 6 AM to play. He is eating well, perhaps too well. Our goal of him losing some weight seems to be going in the opposite direction, despite our attempts for a diet (he is at 16 pounds). PT loves to sit in the window and watch the leaves fall and the birds and squirrels; in fact, he exhibits intense interest in going outdoors sometimes to which we must resist. He also loves to follow the sunlight throughout the house during the day, where he naps contentedly. A favorite napping place is also in front of the fireplace when we have it on (gas), where he sleeps on a foot stool.
All in all, he is the best boy we could have hoped for and we love him.

AMY
Hi - Shirley here from the pair of Shirley and Curly. I know I look a little worried in my evaluation pictures, but that was because we had bneen SO many places and met SO many people in just a few days. Wait until you see me now -I'm a very happy, healthy and busy little girl who has no more worries. Curly and I love it at this Hotel delShue and are getting along great - even with the "big cats". That Ben thinks he is the "kitten sitter" and he supervises us when we are out and about in the house. Just about the only way Mama Katie can tell us apart is to see our little faces. I have lots of freckles and Curly has only one. They are pretty cute, don't you think? If you would like one of the cutes pairs of snowshoes ever, you'd better ask about Curly and me. We are such a sweet and loving pair. Purrs and headbutts, Shirley
P.S. Since we are so little, we'd like to stay in our transport area.

Notes from Home
Amy and Rory are the sweetest pair ever! They have settled in beautifully, and have everyone in the house wrapped around their lovely little siamese tails! They have used the litterbox well from day one, and have started transitioning to wet food without any problems. They are slowing learning the limits (no scratching on the furniture, no jumping on the kitchen counters, etc.) and already have their favorite spots throughout the apartment. Amy is still a champion turbo scratch player (she'll chase that ball forever) and Rory is the king of the cat tree. They both love the crinkly tunnel we got them, and the Cat Dancer is a perennial favorite. They have their first vet visit next week, when we'll get their official weights, but as far as I can tell from my household scale, I think they've each put on another pound already. They are a perfect fit for our family!

RORY
Curly here at Hotel delShue where there are lots of snowshoe babies and adults. This is THE house for snowshoes. My sister, Shirley and I fit in just fine. We are two very healthy, happy and loving ljttle :shoes"., We haven't been here long, but Mama Katie says we fit in just great and she thinks we are a wonderful addition to the "hotel". Shirley and I cam from a home where there were way to many cats and they decided they didn't need us, so we were left at the shelter and got to a general rescue very quickly since we are so darn cute. They worked with Mama Katie to get us into Siamese Rescue because they thought this would be the best place for us. Shirley and I are very bonded and will need to go home together. While we love the other kitties here at this hotel and do just fine with them, we spend most of our time together. Mama Katie had a hard time getting pictures of just one of us because we play together, sleep together, eat together and yes, evben use the box together sometimes. Remember, if you'd like a pair of the cutest little snowshoes ever, be sure to ask about Shirley and me. Purrs, headbutts and cuddles, Curly.
P.S. Since we are so little, we'd like to stay in our transport area.

SHANTI
Hi ! My name is Beignet. Foster mommy says I got my name because my little feet look like they were dunked in powdered sugar like a sweet lil' beignet. At least that what she tell me -- I heard her tell somebody else that it's because my belly is as round as a donut. Well....at least you know I won't be a finicky eater at your house. So..... what's for dinner?

Sinatra is a very rambunctious (sometimes mischievous) boy and tons of fun! He has some great soccer legs and loves to kick his ball back and forth around the living room. When he finally tuckers out from all the playing he loves to snuggle.
12/4/12
Sinatra is doing great after 6 months from his adoption date! He has such a big personality and everyone who has met him loves him immediately. He can be very silly and is always good for a laugh!
