WILLIE
I'm finally adjusted to all the changes and happy here in my foster home. I am shy - well, let's say slow to warm up. Once I do, I love attention and am very needy, but initially I will stay under the bed unless you get down on the floor to coax me out. I get along with other cats who are nice to me, but really are not interested in playing with them. Dogs? Not fond of them. LIttle children would probably scare me. I am just as beautiful in real life as my pictures - my body fur is short and silky, and I have a wonderful plume of a tail! I use my litter box like a good boy, and just love to be up high. A nice quiet home would suit me best and I need an adopter who understands that I am a sensitive, gentle soul.

Notes from Home
he is wonderful; and in just two weeks he is settled happily and a wonderful pet!
04/05/17 update: Garbanzo is now named Willie short for Wilson, and, he is just an amazing wonderful boy. He is friends with my rescue girl Bella and they race and play; every room in our house is full of cat toys as if several sets of active twins live here!
He has wonderful habits, is very, very loving, and is truly beginning to trust and establish his routines while he fits into ours.
Just a true gem; seems like he's been here much longer than three weeks. He really has livened up this house and added lots of happiness!
04/11/17 update; Garbanzo is now named Willie ( Wilson ) as it totally suits his silly personality. He is wonderful in all regards and gaining more and more confidence and trust daily. He has settled in very quickly and loves his roommate Bella; they play all day and are great friends. I couldn't be happier to live with this great fellow! David Harris

CHARLIE
My first meowm rescued me from a tree where dogs chased me and waited for me to come down. She taught me manners and loving but her apartment does not allow pets and she could not keep me. She was sad but she knew Siamese Rescue would find me a very good home. I am showing a sweet personality since I got here and foster mom will be adding coments as she learns about me. One thing for sure, I am going to be a big cat.
Notes from Home
CHARLIE DID NOT LIKE HIS NAME SO HE CHOSE PORKY. HE WAS A GREAT COMPANION TO MY ILL HUSBAND FOR 2 YRS. THEN MY HUSBAND PASSED AND NOW HE IS THE MAN OF MY HOUSE. HE TALKS ALOT AND IS SPOILED ROTTEN. MY DAUGHTER MOVED IN THE HOME W/ HER TWO RESCUE CATS. THEY ALL GET ALONG WELL. WHEN I TRAVEL HE JOINS MY DAUGHTERS CATS ON HER BED. OTHERWISE HE SLEEPS W/ ME AND FOLLOWS ME AROUND LIKE DOG. HE IS VERY INTELLENGENT AND VERY LOVING. I AM RETIRED NOW SO WE SPEND ALOT OF TIME TOGETHER. I CONSIDER PORKY MY SECOND CHILD AND I AM GREATFUL FOR RESUE CENTER FOR THERE WORK IN PLACING SIAMESE W/ FAMILIES. THANKS CHARAL PORKY IS STILL WELL AND VERY SPOILED. SINCE I HAVE RETIRED HE HAS BECOME MY BEST FRIEND, CHARAL.

PEANUT
I'm Peanut, who my foster mom describes as a really handsome, young adult male snowshoe meezer. I am gentle, well-behaved, people-oriented, laid back fellow, who was given up by loving owners when their marriage failed. In the stress of that, I did have a problem bullying a docile, scaredy cat housemate who started out attacking me until I turned the tables on her, so my first mom felt it was better to separate us since we were setting each other off. Until that started, I was living happily with a few other cats and a dog.

You will see from my photos that my tail is a nubby 1'" long. This was a result of intentional trauma inflicted on me when I was a kitten before being rescued by my human parents. I don't really miss my tail and its loss hasn't caused any problems. Sometimes I'll 'wag' my nubby when I'm really happy.

I really like bing the center of attention and like to always be near my people. I am fine with kids and dogs, and probably with another cat, as long as that cat isn't overly submissive, shy or scared. My foster mom is going to let me meet her 3 cats to see how I get along and we'll see how that goes in the next few days.

I'd love to find an active family with a lot of activities going on that I can 'help' with.

Notes from Home
Mom lost the email and has finally figured out how to respond. I am enjoying my new new home. Mom felt I had become such a big boy I needed a big boy name, so my new name is Charlie. Playing with my feather toy with Mom is my favorite pastime. I now have a new big boy bed to accommodate my long body. It fits me perfectly. As the weather has gotten warmer I am enjoying sunning myself an watching the birds outside. Life is good.
Thanks to everyone for making my new home possible.

PRINCESS
I think I like it here. I said goodbye to my friend, Willun, but now have other girl friends to snuggle with. I've met the doggies and put them in their place if they get in my face. I climb up on the tall cat tree when I want space to myself. I use the litterbox just fine and eat the food foster mom gives me - well, most of it.

I am an older girl with excellent bloodwork and don't even need a dental. Want to chat?

Princess is just that! Royalty with a loving attitude. I can't imagine why this kitty was left in the shelter. She is so very affectionate, gets along wonderfully well with her other geezer buddies, and trots around with the agility of a kitten. She is opinionated, bossy, loving, and spunky all at the same time. Yup, unlike any other that's owned me but so worth the hard work to rehabilitate her. You'll never have to look far for her: just find a full millie bed and she's in it.

Margaery has found her perfect sleeping place at night - on top of meowm! No matter what position she wants, Margaery is there, purring and nuzzling for as long as her human will nuzzle back. She is a delightful young addition to our family, even though she's not as thrilled with her feline siblings as she once was. No matter, she rules the sewing room. Sweet, sweet, sweet!

Margaery continues her sweet ways. She loves to find hidden spaces for naps, climb to the top of the cat tree and then carry on a conversation, tell me when her food dish isn't full enough to suit her highness.

LEELOO
Hi there,

I'm settling in now, but I still feel very skittish around people. I'm starting to trust Meowmy cause she gives me tasty food but I think I need some more time to get braver. I'm doing ok with a sight impaired kitty here because she doesn't bother me, but I'm not sure about the others yet.

I want to be friends, but I'm just not sure yet. Meowmy said patience is the key with me. Maybe she's right.

Purrs,

Jolene
Notes from Home
Leeloo has made huge strides! She doesn't cower when we open up her tent and greedily comes out for her food. Both Will and I have gotten her to come out completely from under cover for pets and she's not racing back to "safety." We've gotten her to play with string and stick toys while under the bench. Our goal for next week is to get her to play in the open.

We've started introducing her scent to the other cats and may introduce them next week if Leeloo continues to progress. Our hope is that she'll see how they interact with us and be less afraid. Our cat Noodle is a big cuddle bug and if they get comfortable around each other, he might be able to help her feel more safe. We won't try to move too fast if we see that anyone is scared.

Leeloo is still eating well and using her litter box.

3/6/17 - Leeloo is still hiding in her tent area, but we've removed the curtains now so that she's not hidden. She's still coming out for pets and food, but will not come out to play yet. We've started to introduce the other cats in the hopes that she would be more comfortable, no hissing or growling from either side. We are now leaving the bedroom door open, but our cats don't go in there unless we're in there and they watch Leeloo from a far. Leeloo does not shy away from the other cats, but she does watch them. Her eating is not hampered by the fact that there are other cats in the room. At night when she thinks we're asleep, we can hear her scratching on the cat tree and exploring the room. We spend as much time with her as possible so that she gets used to us being around and our noise.

3/13/17 - We had to close the master bedroom door as Leeloo was becoming aggressive to the other cats. She would charge and nip at them to scare them away. We know it's just from fear, but we don't want it to get out of hand. We also had to put the curtains back up, I think it may have been too much too fast. However, Leeloo was waiting in the middle of the master bedroom for her dinner tonight. We no longer have to entice her out of hiding for food. She is still very skittish, but she's opening up to us. We just picked her up a millie bed from the White Marsh Cat Show and she loves it. We need to clip her nails, but we're worried about the set back. Hopefully she'll forgive us some day 😳 She still won't come out to play, but maybe we just haven't found the right toy yet.

4/9/17 - It's been about 2 months now and Leeloo has made such HUGE strides. She is now excited to see Will, the Food Bringer, and will race up to him chirping for pets or food. She explores the house freely and has found the Catio (screened in deck). She frequently seeks out the Catio, but does not seem to relax out there yet. She and the other cats don't get along yet, but there have not been any major issues. Leeloo is very protective of her safe space, the master bedroom, and frequently chases the other cats out. Leeloo comes downstairs for dinner and swarms around with the other cats, no hissing at dinner time. She is becoming more comfortable playing and seems to enjoy rope toys. We have a toy box in her bedroom and every day she's taken something new out. She completely shredded a rafia ball and now there are orange bits of paper all over the room :-) She will come up into the bed for some pets, but doesn't stay long. Leeloo is still very nervous with people walking around her, even Food Bringer, but I'm hopeful that she'll get used to us soon!

MON CHERIE
Woohooo! I did great at today's vet exam, I was pronounced young, and fun, and loving, and energetic, and wild and crazy, and of course beautiful! I am a very chatty Cathy with an energetic streak and a love of snuggling, playing, climbing, and being Siamese! I'm interested in other cats; if I'm the only cat then you'd better have lots of time for me because I'm going to demand it!

Notes from Home
Mon Cherie is the Penelope Pussycat with tha Pepe LePew cartoon. And, she sure fits this role.
She is now the only female among 3 male Siamese in my home. She manages the men well. At one time or another, I will find her cuddling with one of the males. She ensures they are well-groomed. She has become the woman of the home.

She's a over-zealous head-butter.. She will only stop with a petting. The moment I pull my hand away, the head-butting starts all over again. Iff I need a break, i have to hide my hands, which does confuse her.

My one concern for her is that she remains skittish after all these years. Her prior home must have had some abuse. If I move too quickly, she runs in fear. Her home life here is calm. Yet, fear is deep within her.

She is truly one of the most beautiful Siamese I have ever seen. Petite and perfect coloring.

COCOA
Hi. I just got here so Foster Mom will work on some pics of me. You should know that I am a stunner - I could model if I wanted to. I am a good girl - my Mom had to go somewhere that would not let me come too. So here I am. I am very sweet and really love to get love. I already found this really cool thing called a Millie bed - super comfy! I want to have someone who will love me and let me sit in their lap and sleep with them. Foster mom says I am a super sweet girl with lots of love to give.

Notes from Home
Cocoa is the sweetest cat in the world! Her two favourite things are to get in front of my monitor so I can't see and to be brushed. She really loves to be brushed!

Cocoa has been here a month now. She and my cat Evie are still having some issues. No fights but Cocoa sticks to "her" room even though both doors are open when I'm home. No fights just the occasional hiss. Cocoa continues to be the sweetest most affectionate cat and loves to be brushed and to stretch out on my lap. My vet wanted her to gain a bit of weight and thought that sore gums were preventing her from eating enough dry food so she is now getting an entire can of wet food morning and evening. She is totally loving that! Debra was right about the "elevator butt"...it's amazing how high she can get it! Hopefully in the next few weeks she will venture out a bit. My vet said to take it super slow so that's what I'm doing.

SWEETIE
Hi,

I was rescued from a neglectful situation and after a legal hold for what seemed like forever, I found my way to Siamese Cat Rescue.

I'm a vocal, loving gal, with a good appetite and a great litter box habits. I've never been to a vet, so I need to get all my vetting done before I can go home, which should be around the first week of November. I did live with a boy cat, so another cat in the home would probably be ok. I'll let you know that for sure once my isolation time is up and I can meet the other kitties here.

Purrs,
Sweetie

Sweetie loves playing in her tunnel down in the basement & will even request that it be brought out so she can play in it. She has a little ball she loves to chase through it!

STELLA
Whaaaatttttt page 2?!?!? ME?? Really!

I have been through ISO and was semi integrated then had to have my education and another 10 days of ISO to recover. NOW, I'm running around the house with the residents, I do like that, but I always make time to come and snuggle with Meowmy in the evening after dinner.

So, if you are looking for a purrrrrfect soul mate kitty in a quiet home (some noises still make me jump) .... ask about ME.

Squeak
Lexie
Notes from Home
Stella's younger brother is just that! He is the little brother that sneaks into your room, reads your diary, and messes with your makeup. He is constantly torturing Stella and she hisses at him and pops him in the head. This was worrisome at first, but I have begun to recognize it as little annoying brother picking on older sister. Started having trouble with her pooping beside the litter box... I have a tried many things and I have learned that she is litter box picky, with me cleaning it out at least three times a day, along with Stanley trying to sneak up and attack her while she is pooping. I do plan to get a second litter box for my tiny apartment :( but I am not yet sure if this will fully fix the problem.

Stella had her first check-up appointment with my Veterinarian about a week and a half ago, and she said that Stella was very healthy and gorgeous.

Still trying to get photographic evidence that the snuggle together when they sleep. I think I am going to need to set up stealth, night detection cameras :)

Update 4/8/2017: well sweet Stella who wasn't a big fan of other creatures now lives with two dogs, two other cats (Stanley and Wilbur), and a snake. She is a healthy, happy girl who rules the house and tolerates all of her subjects. She is certainly female and certainly siamese!
