Yes, I'm the kind of guy who will wear a polka dot bow tie and smile for a picture - what's not to love? I'm a big, muscular, love bug whose favorite hobbies include headbutting and being held. So I'm cross eyed - foster mom says that gives me character. I can see just fine, and I have a TON of love to give my new family. I get along well with other cats too and am just an all around wonderful guy looking for a quiet home. Why haven't you asked about me?

MINNIE
Hi, I'm Athena,

I arrived a week ago, and had my spay surgery today (12/5) and did well with it. My ISO time isn't up yet, so I can't meet the other cats untill it is. Right now I hiss at them if they come too close, so Meowmy said she'll have to let you know how I like them for sure once I can come out of my playpen.

I do have good litter box habits, though, and like my food, which meowmy says is good because I'm too skinny right now.

I'm hoping for my forever home soon, and can't wait to have my own person to love and care for me. Maybe that will be you? Hit "ask about me" if you think it could be.

Purrs,
Athena

Notes from Home
It's now been two weeks in my new home, and I'm loving my new life. I have reached my goal weight (a whopping 7 pounds) and my new vet called me "perfect". I spend my days keeping my new mommy company as she works. I'm just as cuddly and affectionate as my foster meowm said I would be, and my new family loves me already. Mommy calls me "her muse" and keeps trying to snap a picture that does justice to how gorgeous my eyes are. I'm still a little spooked by fast movements and run away whenever the children or dogs get too near, but I'm getting better about it the longer I'm here. I sat in one of the little ones' laps yesterday and let her pet me for a minute, so I've come a long way in a short time!

TIKI
UPDATE: 9/27/10 - Haven't been here long, but I've won everyone over. What a sweetheart I am!! There is nothing better in my world than to be held, cuddled, petted and for me to purr and give headbutts. I am a "keeper" - that's what everyone says. Do you wnat to "keep" me? Purrs and Headbutts, Tiki

Just got here today, but since I've been in shelter foster care for three weeks with one of Foster Mom's friends, I was willing to pose for a few pictures. I am such a happy, sweet and loving girl, but you have to want a TRUE Meezerette with a big Meezer voice who talks nearly ALL the time if you want me. I carry on very intelligent conversations with you, even if you don't know what I'm saying, but I DO!! I LOVE to talk and talk and talk. For such a tiny girl, I really do have a BIG Meezer voice. My shelter foster mama called me Tiki Bear because I am so cuddly - just like a teddy bear. Pretty.................. yes, that's me, too. Meow, meow, meow from Tiki. Be sure to "ask about me".

Notes from Home
When Katie said this kitty was one of the nicest ones she's fostered, she was so right.
I call the Kity Bright Eyes. She is a real snuggler and a delight to have. Katie, if you find
another like her, give me a call! There were some adjustments with Bailey, another rescue
cat, but after a couple of years - they even seem to like one another.

Happy 2013 to all and Happy adopting. Marcia

BAILEY
Gentle souled teddy bear looking for gentle souled home. Busy chaos would be too much for me, soft kisses, laps and pets is just what I need....

Notes from Home
I have given him the name "Bailey" Marcia

Jan 2013 - Baily is really doing well. I must admit, it was a bit of a struggle initially but he has really settled in and trusts me - big purrs and he's even getting along better with "Bright Eyes". I think he wanted to be sure he got the Alpha cat position. This one took a lot of patience, but it's paid off.

As a cautionary note, he was at the vets for 4 days. He loves foilage and started to nibble on alstromeria. Not knowing, this flower which is so popular in bouquets, is also called Peruvian Lilly. Its flowers and leaves are toxic to cats and the stems more so. This impacted his kidneys, he lost 5 pounds (which he needed to do). On IV's for 4 days, he has pulled out of it and doing great.

Love having him here. Marcia

ISIS
Fostermom says that I am one gorgeous sealpoint girl with delicious, dark black points. I purr. I snuggle. I love love love. I am here with my little sister Cleo and we're settling in just fine. When the vet checked me out they found that I'd been shot with a BB and it was lodged inside my mouth at the jawline. I think that speaks volumes about my former life. But my capacity to love and be loved can't be squished so easily. If you're looking for a ready made pair, Cleo and I are the ones for you, although Cleo does get a little jealous so we probably each need our own special human to love us. But I am pretty laidback, so I might get along with a nice boy cat, or even an older girl cat.

CLEO
Wide eyed and bushy tailed about sums it up! I just got here with my housemate Isis and we're busy taking in all the new sights and sounds of fostercare. It took me a couple days to get used to everything, but now I'm doing great and am ready to talk to YOU about bringing ME home! So far I really don't like that there are other felines on the other side of the door. I get along with Isis well enough - we do spat on occasion, and I AM a little jealous when you pet her instead of me - but if you want two girls, you might consider us as a pair. But I guess I 'could' learn to get along with a laid back boy too...but no promises.

BUDDY
Don't know about you but MY holidays were not the best. I got lost outside, I had a fractured rear leg, I had to spend weeks in cage rest with cast after cast on my leg (I'm really good at taking them off) and now FINALLY I'm ready to make my debut! However I do need a home where my activity can be watched carefully, I shouldn't fly up and down the stairs quite yet! (No small kids only because I need very careful hands while my leg continues to heal!)

Buddy is doing great and he's the joy of my life! He has gained just a little bit of weight (which is good, considering he was only 6 pounds when I adopted him) and he is very active and affectionate. I could not be happier. He loves his new cat tower that was recently made for him as a christmas present (see pictures). :)

BEAUREGARD

Notes from Home
12/28/2012: Beau is doing great -- he's just a really sweet cat. Now that he is out of isolation, he's explored every inch of the house (sometimes at high speed) and mastered the cat flap, which gives him access to a screened porch. He is quite vocal, announcing himself whenever he enters or leaves a room or just to let us know he's around.

Laila and Beau are still working on their relationship. They aren't close yet, but there has been no hissing, growling, or other indication of hostility. Laila has been approaching Beau, but he's still backing away . . . just not as quickly as he was a couple of days ago. Beau is such a quick learner that I expect Laila will soon teach him how to be a good cat buddy.

01/09/2013: Beau has completely transitioned from company to family. He's decided that the love seat in the back room is a fine place to nap, but when he's awake he likes to hang out in the 'chair leg jungle' (under a chair in the dining room table). Or the cat tree. Or the living room. Or the green chair upstairs. Yeah, he's pretty much taken over the whole place. The one thing he still hasn't mastered is the cat flap that would let him out onto the screened porch. Maybe he just hasn't liked the weather enough so far.

Beau and Laila have had a couple of breakthroughs: he's grooming her head whenever she headbutts him, and we've seen the first running of the 'Feline 500' (a couple of high speed laps around the first floor). He's so much taller than she is it's funny to see her next to him. Makes her look almost like a kitten. Both of them are also now chaperoning me when I shower in the morning. They actually don't hang around too long. Just make sure I really AM taking a shower, then slink back into bed. They apparently don't mind getting up at 0330 . . . they just don't want to stay up. They must get sufficient rest to properly monitor Bill when he gets up.

One weird thing is that Beau's fur has darkened noticeably since he arrived. We saw the same phenomenon with Laila and Bozwell -- they were almost cream colored when we got them, then became progressively darker.

Beau came through his first visit with the vet on Monday with flying colors and he was a complete gentleman the whole time. Of course, since I was the evil one who crammed him into the carrier, he's now viewing me with great suspicion when I pick him up. Which of course means that I just pick him up more. And I tell him that it was all Bill's idea. More photos to come soon.

JORDAN
Hi all you adopters out there, I am still looking for my very own home. I was pended but am available again after being left at the altar for "another woman". I am active and frisky and affectionate. No shy wallflower am I. I'm ready for anything and will keep you thoroughly entertained. Just had my vetting so am ready to go home as soon as the love of my life picks me up at the church steps :)

Jan 2013 - well Jordan is getting better at not biting but still into everything and LOVES EVERYONE. its a happy household and other than a few bad habits she's learning from older brother Cowboy i think she is very happy.

Hi Everyone - well it's a little over a month and Jenna is now Jordan and growing fast! She is still into everything! but loving her new home and new brothers and sisters. They are all getting along great. She has one habit that i'm hoping she will out grow and i'm trying to keep her from doing but she's a biter. Her way of showing love but no one wants it!

We're working it out!

BRODY
Update: I am becoming a chatty fellow. I am also trying hard to out do Emma in overcoming my hesitation to be picked up. But sit on the floor with me and I LOVE pets.

Update: Sure wish foster mom would quite laughing at me. I made her earn my trust and now I scold her if she is giving too many pets to Elvis, Emma and Chino. What is funny about that? I deserve my share. I sure love my lettermates and need a kitty companion in my life.

Feed me and I'm all yours, as long as it's canned food!! Food is the way into my heart for now. The people world is still a bit scary, but I am getting the hang of all these noises. Boy, humans sure make enough of them! If you aren't too pushy, I will reward you with tons of purrs and demand chin scritches. I have to admit that foster mom caught me cutting an attitude when she quit scratching my chin. I got a little upset that she quit and I had to pretend I didn't care, but I don't think I did a very good job. She laughed!

Notes from Home
Jan 2013- Jordan (aka Jenna) has now been in the household for about 4 months now and Brody is completely comfortable now. Often sits out on the floor, activly plays with Jordan and Cowboy and more people loving. Its been a big step for Brody and i think he is truly comfortable and happy - no more hidding in the corners of rooms.

WOW i can't believe Brody is 4 already. Well Jordan has been the right choice and bringing Brody out of his shell. He is more active, more playful and now will sit in the middle of the room instead of the corner. His coat is getting so dark and he seems to be a big boy now - like he grew up over night!
He's a happy kitty and loving his new sister!
