Hello,

Wanted to drop by and thank everyone again for bringing us together with this wonderful cat. Hopefully we can post some updated pics soon, but "Contessa" is doing great!!

===============================================

Hello,

Just a quick note to announce that "Tulip" has been named, "Contessa De La Luna", whom we call Tessaluna or Tessy ;)

===============================================

Hello, I was told that I can use this form to send everyone updates on Tulip, so I hope this is correct.

We just wanted to thank everyone again for their part in making the adoption of Tulip possible. She has settled in wonderfully and captured our hearts immediately. We don't think we've ever seen a more beautiful cat!

She is very happy and playful, and loves to be held, which is exactly what we were hoping for. We are continuing the acclimation process and she is doing great. After the first couple days, we let her out of seclusion for supervised explorations. The resident cats are curious but for the most part, don't seem to care about her just yet. We will continue the supervised excursions and make sure that she and the other kitties are adjusting.

We will try to do updates here for everyone and send some pictures along the way as well. Thanks again to everyone!!

=============================================== 4/13/13

Hello,

Just wanted to update you on Contessa De La Luna! We've uploaded a couple of more recent photos - she is getting so dark! Contessa is doing great and loves her new siblings, especially our male cat Kohl - they chase each other around the house and love to play.

Her foster Mommy had thoughtfully given us a play cube which "Tessy" has since worn out, requiring the purchase of a new one. She is still very much a kitten and loves to play, especially with the green feather wand which she drags with her all around the house.

She gets along with everyone, male and female cats and even the Sister-in-Law's puppy! She is very happy and we are very happy as well!

Tessy loves to cuddle, sleeps with us, and always lets you know what is on her mind. She has become quite the "Mommy's girl". She is a purr-fect fit for us! Thanks again!

ZEUS
Loving, affectionate, declawed lap cat who likes to sleep under the covers with you, follow you around, and be on you the minute you sit down. The tiniest bit sensitive about changes such as losing my home, I still promise to settle in pretty quickly. I'm in great health, all blood values strong and teeth are in great shape, so don't let the number 12 deter you. I get along with other cats and am still known for a good game of chase; woofers if I must as long as they aren't too pesky.I have a nice voice, am smarter than many of the guys, and am overall a very nice appleheaded blue guy. If you'd like a well socialized cat who doesn't carry much in terms of baggage and can give superb headbutts, choose me!

DOLCHEDO
Ciao, ciao. Dolchedo here. My front half is Siamese and my back end looks Balinese! That's two, two, two cats in one! Mama says I wasn't a tough nut to crack. I only hid for a few hours and then I came up, had a couples sniffs and it was all over! Let the lovefest begin!
I love to rub, purr, get pets and scratches. Plop down and give my belly! I just might be a bit nervous, for a while, but I will come around when I can trust you. Now, my brother is here with me, his name is San Remo. Check him out! Mama says we are a 'package deal' for the time being. I probably don't need him, but he may really need me. I am protector, front cat. SO, if you are inclined to ASK ABOUT ME, please keep in mind that Remo wants to come too. So, ASK ABOUT US! Please help me by keeping my transport within one day of Central Florida, thanks.
UPDATE: I'm out and about and very comfortable. I follow Mama around to see what she is doing.
I like these other cats too. I'm pretty easy going.

Notes from Home
Dolchedo is still a big teddy bear of a cat. He likes to be the center of our attention. He has always
preferred women to men until this year when he has decided that Bruce is his good buddy.
Chedo spent a lot of time with our elderly cat Patty until she passed away. He would lay by her when she was sick and tell us it was time to give her her special food(he wanted some). He looked for her for a long time after she died.
He doesn't take to change or loud noises and still panics easily. He was nervous and panting at the vet today and he has to go back to get his teeth cleaned next week.
It took him about 3 weeks to accept his new little sister, Summer. He will play chase with her sometimes but he mostly ignores her.
Chedo is all about food. He monitors the food and water dishes and alerts us if he thinks he needs more. He comes running to manual can opener and he's not one to move too fast.
He is a beautiful loveable boy.

SAN REMO
Ciao, ciao. I'm San Remo. I am a shy guy, and it took me a month to get used to my foster home, but I know I can find my furever home and adjust one more time. I have a pig purr motor, and I love the vigorous scratches. I arch my back up high, just like Halloween!! I am dependent on my brother, Dolchedo. We make a super pair. We keep each other company, and we never have a cross word.
I do like other kitties as well. No felines are particularly interested in me, so we don't have any issues.Since it is kinda hard for me to trust, I would like a home without children, a nice calm place would be great! And, let's keep my new home within a day's drive of Central FL, please, please!
I really am a super loving boy. Would you ASK ABOUT US! and give me the chance to prove that I can trust and love, once again?

Notes from Home
San Remo has gained lots of confidence this year. He is more trusting of strangers and can even be a little bit nosy at times. He loves to play with his little sister Summer. He weighs 16 lb and she weighs 6lb but that doesn't slow them down. He spent his own kittenhood hiding so he is learning new tricks from her. He is all about hunting critters in the screen enclosure.
Remo was diagnosed with some heart problems last June but has not shown any ill effects so far.
He had his annual vet visit today and checked out fine. I can't wait until he tries his low-salt senior cat food that was recommended! We didn't tell him he has to go back next week to get his teeth cleaned.
He is a sweet and gentle boy. He seems to like attention from us now instead of just putting up with it.

BOOKER
A funny thing happened in the middle of my morning bath. I was interrupted and my tongue got stuck. I probably would be happiest as an only cat, but I co-exist with the pack here just fine. Sometimes I have to wrestle and put the baby boy in his place, but then we kiss and make up. I'm vocal and demanding for lap time. I haven't met a stranger I didn't like, and I'm a TV star having been on local TV pet spots twice, but don't ask for an autograph.

Notes from Home
Booker has given me the pleasure of his company for 3 yrs and 6 mos so far. He's wonderfully easy to take care of and responsive to the attention he receives. He is very deaf so all interaction with him is on a touch and see basis. He is very vocal and gives many orders through the day which I try to fill. I haven't heard him complain so I must be meeting his expectations. His UT health is stable and he is on daily medication for his kidney health. He had a special friend but he passed away 10-9-11. Booker hasn't bonded with any of the other cats to date.
5-17-12: Booker is 18 now..getting gray in the muzzle and front feet. He's not as agile as he was, but still gets around to the "Feed Me" corner and the litter box. He is a very dear member of the family and likes to be fondled.
Feb.'13: Booker has been diagnosed with a brain tumor.
4-12-13: Just a few days past his 19th birthday, Booker passed away 3-12-13. He was so dear and sweet and is greatly missed. I was so lucky to share the last 5 years of his life.

RUSTY
Four months ago someone left me in a carrier in the rain. I couldn't even fend for myself, locked in a carrier hoping someone would save me. And a rescue angel did save me, and she took tender loving care of me until a spot opened up in Siamese Rescue. Now I'm all moved into my foster home and have spent many a warm cozy afternoon making biscuits on my new blankie. I get along really good with 3 other male cats at my rescue angel's house, and I get along well with my roommates here -- 2 females and another male. So I already know I like other kitties and all varieties of peoples. I'm completely vetted and ready to come live with you now!

Notes from Home
Hi! All is well here and the kitties get along as if they've always been together! Pretty amazing. We are all having so much fun with Rusty. He is as sweet as ever.
Funny thing, neither cat would eat canned food and I can't believe it but…they both devour it now! Mayve it's a little healthy food competition?! I think that's a very good thing for Rusty in particular and I also think he's eating more!
He is actually quiet and sleeps through most nights and leaves the singing to Willow! Occasionally he will show off his beautiful voice, which the kids find hilarious. Typically, she is the disruptive one at night, but her antics are directed at me, so it doesn't usually wake anyone else.
Thanks for checking in and for all that you do for these wonderful kitties and lucky adopters like us!

Hi!!
We just want to say that Mae is such a wonderful cat. So sweet and loveable, she has fit in well with our cat Oscar and even our daughter. She is very curious about her and will just lay around in her room and watch her while she plays. Thank you again!! We lover her.

Mocha is doing GREAT. Eating good, playing with her new brother Ceelo, a triger stripe 10 week old boy. They just love each other. When they play they are so funny. When it is sleep time they cuddle up together. They both sleep with John and I ahe sits there in the morningnd take up all the room. They both love to be held and loved

It has been 6mts since Mocha has been in my home and she has settled in just Great. She is starting to get very brown fur and a big belly, she eats well. Both her and Ceelo eat just fine they remind me of dogs they want to eat all the time. Mocha loves to sit on her cat stand and look out the window. She sits there in the morning and waits for me to say good-bye when I leave for work and she is there when I get home. When Mocha & Ceelo play they are so funny. I am so glad I have her in my life....

CHEETARA
Hi there!

I'm Sandy, and so happy to be here with my brother, Sunny. He's been my mentor since we lost our mom. A nice lady was feeding us and trying to teach us how to eat solid food, but I had a hard time learning. Sunny got it right away and taught me. He's also showed me that people aren't as scarey as I thought. He grooms me and reassures me every step of the way, and our new meowmy said we can go home together, too, and not be seperated. So, if you're interested in me, you'll have to ask about Sunny, too.

Purrs,
Sandy

Notes from Home
In our new home and settling in nicely.

Thibaud (neé Sunny) and Cheetara (neé Sandy) have settled in nicely with their new house mate, Sieglinde. Thibaud remains a seemingly endless reserve of boundless energy and activity. Cheetara can hold her own with him and is quite adventurous in her own way, but she still controls when and who she approaches, not the other way around, and is quite affectionate.

April 2013

All settled in and loving life. Both kittens continue to grow. Thibaud is now larger than the matron of the household,Sieglinde, and Cheetara has outgrown her "runt of the litter" appearance. Sometimes its hard to tell her apart from Sieglinde.

Thibaud makes himself scarce whenever there are strangers in the house, and Cheetara is the one who ventures out to investigate. (A reversal of roles from their early days.)

Both are more outgoing and affectionate every day. And both bring a ray of joy to the household.
