KIREA
Looking for a ready made Meezer family? Healthy and happy (okay, so maybe Boo is just a little bit put out), we were given up when our owners of 8 years were evicted - and now we have to find new digs. We're in good health, with nice gentle personalities, a bit overwhelmed at the changes but hey, we've never seen the inside of a cage before, so it is a little overwhelming. About a week from now we get to be out and explore; and we're ready to go home mid-June. So if you'd like a package deal, ask about us!

Notes from Home
I always feel lucky to know and love Kirea. She's 14 now and doing very well -- no health concerns to report. Except for the occasional annoyance of little brother Houdini deciding he wants the bed she's sleeping in, life is good. It's hard to describe how precious Ki is -- she's a gentle soul who still seems to have some old demons that make her often frightened of hands, things above her and sudden movements, but she now responds well to a quiet approach by strangers and has become very comfortable with the people who come into our home. Unlike her easy-going brother Boo, Kirea has a complex personality! The most important thing, however, is that she knows she's safe and loved!

BOO
A bonded pair, Kirea and I came from a family of 8 years who were evicted and no longer able to keep us. We've had great care and loving all our years, and you can tell, although, yes, as Kirea says, I'm just a wee bit put out at having the indignity of a cage after all these years. Ready to go home mid June, if you're looking for a pair of healthy happy (promise to be happy by then!) Meezers, check us out!

Notes from Home
Now, at our five year anniversary (where does the time go?), there have been no changes to report. Boo is still a healthy, happy, now 13 year old boy. His best friend is brother Houdini and they love to wrestle, but Boo's most favorite past times include eating and sleeping and snuggling. Boo has found the secret of a good life -- eat well, sleep much, and don't get stressed! A wonderful, easy-going friend!

FAYE-FAYE
I am Siamese if you please, I am Siamese if you don't please. Me and Gally VA8898 are a team - and have been since we were littermates. If you are interested in the VERY SIAMESE traits, we are the perfect new family members.
Check out our Video - yep definately sibblings.

Notes from Home
June 11, 2013: Little Faye-Faye (I don't know why I consider her "little" since she's the same weight as her brother -- it must be her sweet demeanor) is just a love-bug. She is now "Daddy's favorite" and can do no wrong in his eyes (not that she does anything wrong anyway...). Her brother Gally has a tendency to be the dominant sibling and she has to endure his bossy ways from time to time, but we've noticed she'll stand her ground with him and then forgive him, giving him a thorough bath.

They continue to enchant us. My husband says they make him smile every day.

GALLY
Wow is all foster mom can say. I am Siamese if you please and so is my sister Faye Faye VA8897. We have been together all our lives and take good care of each other. I am the braver of the two of us while Faye Faye is more cautious. Day number two and we are settling in just fine. Do you appreciate those VERY siamese traits? Well then we are for you. Fay Faye and I are a team.

Notes from Home
January 8, 2013 -- Gally and Faye-Faye are the most endearing cats and have been with us for one month. Each day brings out a new and delightful side of each of them. They are the most polite and well-behaved kitties we have ever encountered and we feel blessed to have them as part of our family. The gentleman, Gally, is quite sociable and thoroughly enjoyed all the family and friends' attention as we entertained over the holidays. Little Faye-Faye closely watches her brother, and will follow suit when she gets to her comfort level. They adore sleeping with us at night and nestle in between us; however, at some point during the night, they have taken over the bed!

We totally adore our "twins."

June 11, 2013: It's hard to believe that Gally and little Faye-Faye have been with us for less then seven months! They are so part of our family. I continue to be amazed by how popular they are with our friends and family...quite often they are asked about first before getting around to us. Both Gally and Faye-Faye have periodic "I MUST BE LOVED...NOW" moments, usually when one of us are on the computer. We're on the third feather of their favorite wand toy. It's something both of them thoroughly enjoy.

Another favorite is what we call "after dinner theater" -- once they have eaten, I will open the door to our deck (albeit with the screen door in between them and the outdoors). Outdoors there will be a bowl of peanuts (unsalted, of course) which attracts cardinals, titmice, bluejays, squirrels and their favorite: chipmunks. The two of them love to watch all the wildlife come by and because they're so well behaved, it appears none of the birds, etal., mind the heavy scrutiny they're receiving.

We love these cats!

Notes from Home
We love our "Chai guy!" He is more than I hoped for when I first connected with him through his picture on the site. It was love at first "site!" Haha! He is amazing. I will write more later. Enjoy the pictures!

It is with a heavy and sad heart that I must say Chai passed away on Monday June 10, 2013, just 20 days before his 10th birthday. He had serious health problems and is now in a happy, pain-free place.

In such a short time he brought me and my family SUCH HAPPINESS!! He was my "baby Chai guy," as I fondly called him. I would adopt him all over again even knowing we would have such a short time together.

I am grateful that I took so many pictures of him to go along with the wonderful memories. I am thankful to God for bringing him to our lives and allowing us the honor to love him and share our time together.

This Siamese rescue organization, and I'm sure all organizations that help animals, is a Godsend for all the work done by so many within the organization. Diane, Chai's foster, has become a true friend. I am so thankful for all of the blessings that have come as a result of my first Siamese passing and me looking on the website for an older Siamese who needed a loving home and family.

I will adopt again, when the time is right. :)

TRISTAN
Now that I've settled in here, I am the life of the party! Love attention, love belly rubs, love rolling on the floor. I've been returned to rescue through no fault of my own, it was this bad economy (whatever that means). I come as a pair with my shy 'sister' Poppy - we were adopted as kittens three years ago. Check us out, and take us home for just one adoption fee! We need to go home together. We are a young and healthy ready-made-family for a quieter home.

Tristan is the friendliest cat ever! He wants to meet everybody and expects everyone who meets him to give him their undivided attention. He is much more outgoing than his sister, and gets a little jealous when he thinks she's getting more attention than he is, but he also gets a little jealous when he thinks the telephone is getting more attention than he is. He is so full of love and curiosity it is infectious! He is the king of our castle and our hearts. It is a joy to have him in our family!

LADY POPPET (POPPY)
I am very scared right now - I've lost my home. They kept talking about things I can't understand - foreclosure? Eviction? At least I still have my "brother" Tristan here with me. He's the bold one of us - and I need him especially right now. I am very very sweet, even if I am scared. Take us home for just one adoption fee - we need to go together. Do you have a quieter home, and want a beautiful pair of lynxes to keep you company? Then ask about us.

Notes from Home
Lady Poppet, aka Miss Lady, Lady, or just Poppy, has really come out of her shell. While she is still much more timid than her brother, she has no longer confined herself to under the bed. She is still very shy around strangers, but will say "hi" on occasion. She loves to hold your hand when you pet her, and is a joy to have in the family!

RUSTY
Okay, so here it is - I have one speed, and it's high speed. Winding me up is easy, winding me down a bit harder. I'm going to need lots of interaction and entertainment and things, people, dogs, cats, toys to keep me busy, otherwise I'll just make do with your favorite knickknacks, heh heh heh. I may be young but I've already won the Indy 500, the Maryland Hunt Cup and the Grande Steeplechase de Paris! So let's party!

Notes from Home
Rusty is king of the house! He made himself at home on day one, sleeping belly up on the bed. He spends his time either running around the house, looking through a window at the out-of-doors, or lounging in someone's lap or in my chair. He's a great lap cat. He likes to stretch out and has actually been known to slide off! My lap just isn't big enough when he does that stretching out thing! He makes us laugh and endears himself to everyone he meets. We are so lucky to have him in our lives!!

ok - so now Rusty is king of the vet's office. On his first visit, the technicians came in one by one to look at him, pet him and generally oooo and ahh. When the vet arrived, she hugged him and gave him little kisses on his belly and head. He's Mr. Personality and everyone loves him. I've posted another picture of him lounging in his kitty house and checking out his little sister.

6/9/13
You'd think that after 6 months, Rusty wouldn't surprise us anymore. Not so! He is the most curious and adventurous cat ever. He is usually looking for new places to be and loves getting into cabinets and other enclosed places. His favorite place is inside a paper bag or a box and can happily sit in either for a long time. He loves looking out the screen door or the window. One day we found him perched on top of the kitchen cabinets and can only surmise that he jumped the five feet needed to get there! He loves company and comes out to greet anyone who comes into the house. He loves his little Siamese sister and they spend lots of time chasing each other. Rusty makes us laugh every day. We are so glad he's part of our family.

TAVI
I'm still in kindergarten as far as my people education goes, so I have a few things to learn. For that reason I need a quieter home with a devoted person or people who want to help me blossom and become a full fledged graduate student one day! Another cat to model afterward (cute young male would be good!) and a little time and patience on your part, and I'll be the apple of your eye!

Notes from Home
We are sooo proud of Tavi. Her discovery of her new house came in small steps. When we first brought her home from the Meezer Express, she moved to the back of her travel carrier and sat in the litter box shaking and hissing if you tried to touch her. When no one was looking she ran under our bed. She only came out briefly during the night and then eventually during the day just to eat. It was another week before she ventured out from under the bed for a little longer, then out of the bedroom (as long as no one was looking!), and then to other rooms upstairs.

It took her about 2½ weeks to discover the downstairs. At his point, she comes down every day on her own. We feed her downstairs to encourage her to come down more often. She still spends time in her spot under the bed but not nearly as much.

Now Tavi plays with her adoptive bother Rusty every morning and literally gallops around the house, back and forth upstairs, and up and down the steps. They take turns chasing and pouncing on each other. Sometimes Rusty gets too rough but she stands her ground and puts Rusty in his place. When they're both tired, they love sitting in the cat house together looking out the window.

We're patiently waiting for Tavi to let us pick her up. She has made so much progress but is still cautious. She's a darling little kitty and just so cute! Every new step fills us with joy. We love having our precious little girl and can't imagine our lives without her!

6/9/13
Tavi is no longer the frightened little kitty we brought home. Once she got over being scared, her real personality came out. She has blossomed into an affectionate loving cat who loves attention and (ta da!) lets us pick her up and sits in my lap!!! She purrs at any small head rub or physical contact. She especially loves belly rubs and often goes belly-up in my lap. She can entertain herself for hours throwing a small piece of dry cat food into the air and chasing it around!! She still gets just so excited at feeding time and runs in circles and "chirps" until we get her wet food on the floor. She often leaves food in the bowl but oh, getting it is such a thrill!! She doesn't run from strangers but still doesn't like new people. That's ok with us. We love her just the way she is. :)
