Did you say blank slate? That's what Aunt Siri said I was, living outdoors with tons of other cats and making kittens, I'm SO glad to be indoors safe and sound now! I'm a quick learner but there are lots of things I haven't yet experienced, so bear with me! However that female Siamese gene means I'll be top of my class in no time!

I had intended on updating on her 1 month anniversary, but I got my old job back, and time on the internet sort of.. went out the window. But, it's almost been 3 months now and I am amazed, every day, with how far she has come! At 1 month, she was like another cat! She comes when you call her name, she comes to greet you at the door, she follows wherever you go, she even waits outside of the shower for you to get out. (With me though, she practically screams at me for not getting out sooner and then tries to drink the water from my hair) She's even started giving headbutts recently. I'm just SO happy with this little lady! Now, I take rediculous amounts of pictures of her and Probie, and noticed she had a lot of pink around her eyes. My vet said to give her L-Lysine, which I mixed into her food and cleared it right up! And I'm thrilled to announce that she and Probie have been racing and chasing and playing all over the place! She and my mother's cat are even starting to get along! Thank you SO much for this little lady!! Here's a couple of videos from the 32nd day she was here:

Yesterday was our 2 week anniversary and Ziva is doing SO WELL!! I started feeding her a teeny bit of wet food again and what a turn around! She just was mad at me for not giving her the wet food, lol! But, she is the sweetest little thing! She follows me from room to room and swats at my ankles when she wants to play. Every time I talk to her she answers. Actually, she talks quite a bit. She always has an opinion about something. Lol. Just this morning, in fact, Ziva stood up on the side of the bed and meowed in my face, then pawed at me until I woke up. I guess she was ready to play, because when I said, "well, hello there!" she crouched down and wiggled her little butt! She's not playing with Probie yet, but will sit or lay around with him, though. Ziva just looks at him like he's a scary bear when he tries to play. So, thus far, she mostly prefers to play with me. And she likes to play ALL the time! Hopefully, they'll start playing soon. *fingers crossed* But, we're SO pleased and very proud of how well she's doing! And for loads more pictures, you can visit this link to her album on my facebook page =]

Ziva just had her first exam with our vet today. Everything went really well. She wouldn't let them take her temperature until she was in my arms, which actually made me feel so happy that she felt safer there. I mentioned how she has a "liquid eye" when she's looking at you and wondered if she was having tiny seizures. But, the vet said that it's probably just a result of previous ear infections due to parasites and just to look out for it going to her other eye. But, all in all, she did wonderfully! I'm so proud!

09/10/11
It's been a week now and Ziva's kind of.. reverted, I guess you can say. She was doing very well, letting me pick her up and purring. But, now when I try to pet her, she swats at my hand. She doesn't really want to play the way she was, either. It may be because I just weened her off of wet food. But, we'll see later.

09/04/11
Well, when Ziva (we named her after Ziva, from NCIS) first got here, she came out after eating and was rubbin all over Alexey, myself, and everything else in the room, we were so happy! She pranced around the room sniffing everything with her tail straight up in the air, then came back over to us for more pets! She was a purrin, buscuit making machine! Then we wanted to try playing with her and she was all about it! I expected something totally different, because of her write up. We expected her to be more hesitant and unsure about the toys. But, she was havin a blast! She ran underneath this cat thing that we have (it's got two jingle balls attached to it, a scratching post and a catbed on top) and was scratching on the catpost part while playin with the little bird toy that came in her goody bag! Now, we did give her her own space for the intergration period, along with her own litterbox. But, she didn't seem to have any problems using Probie (our male, seal)'s litterbox! When he came back in the room, after we put her up, he was like "What the..?" And she's SO inquisitive! Earlier today, we had to pull one of the dressers out to get her out from behind it! And we thought we blocked it off! Lol, leave it to the teeny little lady. Well, that's it from the first day. I'll update again in a week or so! And here's a video of her playing:

KAHLA
Hi there! My name is Cookie and I am new here. I am a fantastic seal point girl who is looking for a home where I can be the queen of the castle. I purr and I am quite happy, but I need a forever home where I get all of the attention. Please go ahead and ask about, I think I will be quite popular!

Purrs & chirps,

Cookie =^.^=
Notes from Home
Kahla has been at home for just over two weeks now, and we are both loving every minute of it! She has settled right in to the schedule and was ready to get out in the whole house within minutes of being out of the carrier. Kahla loves morning, afternoon, and evening playtime with the mardi gras beads. She is also a big snuggler, curling up for naps while I watch TV. Every once in awhile she even helps me with my schoolwork. I could not have asked for better kitty than Kahla!

One month home and Kahla is so comfortable here! She is frisky, loving, and playful. She chases toys around downstairs, begs for her food, plays with strings on my clothes, and follows me everywhere. We just had a beautiful white Christmas, and Kahla loves to look out the windows to watch the snowfall. She gets very intrigued with the other kitties that wander by the backyard.

Over two months home and it seems like Kahla just got here but yet has been here all her life at the same time! She is 100% comfortable here and is loving her spoiled life! With the spurts of warmer weather, I've opened the windows, and discovered that Kahla loves the sights, sounds, and cool air of the outdoors--she'll love springtime! Kahla's on a bit of a diet now after my family commented or her gaining weight. Kahla does not seem to be able to regulate her intake of dry food, so she's on a measured amount each day (rather than free feeding from a full bowl) and her 3 oz. of wet food. It's definitely going to be an adjustment for her! I couldn't imagine not having Kahla here... she's the best roommate and is so great for relaxing after work!

11-26-11 Today is Kahla's one year anniversary at home in NC. Kahla is the perfect kitty. She is a people-person, loving to be around me or anyone else who visits. She cuddles with me at night, and tries to be in my lap as much as possible during the day... even if it means sitting on top of my laptop! She still enjoys her playtime but is also content to play on her own with her "shiny balls". It seems like it was years ago that Kahla made the long trip to NC, and I know that she's here to stay for a long, long while!

BOOMER
Hi everyone!! I've finally gotten over that shelter "yuck" that I came to this Hotel delShue with. I feel so much better, even though my right eye is a little bit weepy. It is getting a lot better, too,. Don't have any idea how I wound up without a family, but I am a very loving and sweet, sweet blue boy. "BLUE" - that's why I have my name. Here in this city "BLUE" is a big color - for the Colts (sssshhhhh - no booing allowed) and for the Pacers. I'm named after the Pacer's mascot, Boomer, because he's a blue guy just like me. If you know blue Meezers, we tend to be very loving, laid back and easy going. I'm that in spades. Be sure to watch my video to see how much I love being around my people. Haven't been kitty tested yet because I'm just now getting well, but that will happen soon, I'm sure. While at the vet, I tried to get into the cage with one of the big dogs, so I'm OK with doggies for sure. Be sure to click on that "ask about me" button, and I'll tell you more a out me and maybe we can be best blue buddies. Purrs and Heaqdbutts, from the biscuit making blue boy, Boomer

EZZIE
I am Cute, Cuddly, and Adorable What more can I say.
I won't be ready to go home till the middle of June but I am worth the wait.
Notes from Home
Ezzie is doing great. Finally, she is getting friendlier and allows us to pet her. Most of the time she comes middle of the night and then she is ready for some love time. During day she pretends being untouchable and that she’s so hard to get. (Typical woman) I need to say that she is Bart’s girl! She knows that he will give her treats every time she asks for… and she know how to ask  Also, Bart is her buddy for play time. Every evening, around 8pm, she knows that it is their playtime. And if Bart forgets about that, she knows how to remind him as well. She will “dance” for him and if this does not send the message, she sits on the toy and stars “singing”, if you know what I mean. It is not possible not to love her!

Ezzie is just wonderful and we are so happy to have her and Mr. Ming. She is so beautiful and fun to watch. Lite tiger who is very excited about life and everything around her. She loves to eat treats and dry food. Now she is very picky where comes to can food…. but what we can say, she is the Princess and we are just there to please her. She loves to play and steal favorite spots and toys from her buddy Mr. Ming. However, her favorite play is it plays with Bart’s feet, sometimes not so fun for Bart. Imagine her tinny nails and teeth biting his toes 

LEO
Hi, I'm Loy! I'm a friendly and busy little guy. My momma was a stray and had me and my brother in a nice llady's back yard. Momma was a tortie, and dad must have been a travelling Meezer Man. I'm busy checking out my new place, and foster mom's been trying hard to get pictures of me but I don't stay still long. Get ready to ask about me - but only if you'd like a busy little flame boy to come live with you.

PLEASE do not submit an inquiry unless you are looking for a "project" cat. Thx!

Oh hiss hiss hiss. What? You're going to pet me? I don't think so! But I'll take a treat from your hand. Dinah has been a very scared little kitty. She loves being around other cats, especially one male in particular, and has learned that I'm not so bad. I think any day now she is going to let me pet her. She needs someone experienced with project cats. Check back later for progress reports.
Notes from Home
Dinah is doing well ,still loves coffee ice cream . Sometimes she is a lap cat, most of the time is content just to sit on the arm of my chair . Another favorite past time is sitting on the entertaiment center while I am watching tv blocking the cable box so I can't change the channel.

Dinah still is not very fond of Leonard. New pics

ALEX
Hi - my name is Bernice. A nice lady found me under a bush when I was just 2 weeks old. I don't remember how I came to be there without my mother. I just remember I was wet because it had been raining AND a bird was pecking me on the head. So these nice people gave me milk in a bottle and I grew and grew. I am also tooooooooo cute for words so I was told by my new mom. She also said that I am outgoing, loving, playful and at this moment - tiny. I only weigh 1 lb. but that doesn't stop me from having a big personality. I know you will fall in love with me as soon as we meet. So ask about me - I know we will be very happy together.

Sorry for not getting an update to you all sooner. Bernice (yes..we kept the name!) and Molly are constantly running around the house, jumping on each other. They're getting closer every day. Here are some pix of our little girl. The first pix was taken the very next day after we brought her home. She's enjoying her scratching post bed. The next is one of her fav spots in the house; up on the couch. The last pix I just took this afternoon while she was napping on one of her favorite blankets. She is such a joy! Still a snuggler, head butt-er and purr purr purr! And boy can she eat!

Do you want a playful cat?

Do you want a cat that plays all the time?

Do you want a cat that loves to play?

Here I am and oh did I tell you I am a playful boy?

Note from Charlie:
I am so happy to be here. My folks love me so much andI love my people and my house. I even love my Siamese sister, Tillie. My favorite hobbies are running through the house and playing. I like to hide from my mama when she feeds me breakfast - I think that's so funny, and my mama can't figure that one out!! She's in a big hurry to leave for work and I hide from her, then I jump out!! I especially love the DVD player when it opens and closes! I even watch for the movie credits to run because I know that little door will open soon! My folks let me snuggle up next to them and I just purr and purr!!! My mama says she is slow at putting any notes out here for me, but I especially want to thank Jane, my foster mom, for being so very good to me, and her daughter for bringing me to North Carolina. And, Kathy, too, for matching me and my family together!

Gretel and Harry (aka His Royal Furriness, Prince Harrington) have made us all so happy. They are so sweet to each other and make sure they kick each other in the head many times every day. Gretel hogs my pillow, so we are thinking of getting one for herself. They jump in the shower every time I turn it on, and I have to remove them so I can get in there. They keep us laughing.

OLIVE OYL
I am a typical kitten, active and playful. I love playing with my brother right now and will meet another kitten friend soon. I love toys. I am behaving like a typical seal girl and letting some of my opinions be known.
Olive Oyl
Notes from Home
hi to everybody and thanks for asking how Olive is doing,She is the quiet one, she likes to watch , but sometimes she is so active , jumping on Gibson, that he runs away and hides from her, from 2 of the kittens adopted, Gibson is the active one, they both with Olive are playing and jumping around but he is the initiator in most of the cases, both of them are eating good, every day more and more, because they are growing and need more energy, are drinking water, using litter box just fine. But in very very soon future i am planing to teach them to use a real toilet with the City Kitty toilet system and get red of the litter boxes and mess around them,so this is a big project and i hope the get soon some results,i will keep you updated with their successes. I ordered for them a huge cat tree, 78'' high , with plainty of platforms, houses and scratching posts, so they can scratch that and climb that tree instead my flowers, Olive is good girl but Gibson is the one who destroys my flowers, so until i get their tree i have to isolate my plants in other room,i am trying to explain him not to do it but he just looks at me with his innocent eyes and jump on the plant over and over. I hope to make him understand this one day. They are so cute, even if they are little hooligans, i can't get mad on them, i love them too much, they are my babies. Right now Olive jumped on my shoulder and is biting my face, but this is how are they, in the next minute she is kissing me. All my back is scratched, i don't even say about my legs or my arms, but this is common for the cats. Both of them are so curious, every time when i eat something, they have to know what is in my plate, why i am eating and not giving them to try. After they eat, they usually play and fight a little bit, in a good sens of this world, fighting like a friends, then get tired and fall a sleep, they like to sleep together on my computer chair or on the bed,or in front of the screen door,so can watch outside. The same they like to sleep with me,under the blanket,Olive likes to sleep on top of the pillow, near my head and play with my hair. they sleep a lot during the day and in the night time when i go to sleep then they start to play and jump around. In the morning they wake up very early, around 5-6 and start all over, jumping, fighting , so i have to wake up clean their litter boxes, check their food, but is hard to go back to bed because with them because i don't close my bedroom door and they are always in it. I spoiled them a lot,so they do everything they want,of course just good things,i have to teach them not to jump on the table in the kitchen, they have to know where is their table, but no results yet,i am working on it. I am very happy that i found your web site and i adopted the kittens. Thanks to everybody for all.

Hello again !!
it is time to make a few updates about my little princess, Olive. She ,like her friend Gibson gained some weight, but she does not look so big as him,she is very sweet too but she does not like to be held in the arms, maybe just when she wants to sleep, other way she likes to be left alone. She likes wet food a lot, more than dry,she drink water but not too much, she likes more milk. every night 2 of them sleep on their tree, but in the night time she wakes up and comes to my bedroom and sleeps with me on my pillow,on top of my had,and she likes to play with my hair and scratches me some times, that's way i sleep with my hat under the pillow, and when she starts to play i put the hat on,then she calm down. As well as Gibson she likes to sleep under the blanket with me. She is kind of pet that she does not like to be touched and held, only when she wants it.I am training both kittens to use the toilet and maybe flush when they get bigger,so it will be easier and less mess,it works good,i like it,maybe 2-3 more weeks and they will be completely trained. I love my baby, both of them,i am very happy that i found you.
