Things foster mom knows about me:

I love catnip toys
I love to be held
I like to chat but am not overly vocal
I love sleeping under the covers
I use my litter box like a good boy
I'm soft like bunny fur and love to be brushed
I get along with other kitties but would do well as your one-and-only baby too
I've had a dental and have nice clean teeth
I've had my senior bloodwork done and am a healthy boy

Things that foster mom doesn't understand:

Why doesn't a great guy like me have a home yet?

I'm waiting for you - ask about me!

See my new movie! I love sleeping under the covers.

Thank you so much for asking about Blizzard, he has blended very well socially and enjoys bird watching, long cat naps in the afternoon and fine dining throughout the day. He receives the VIP treatment each day with a baby wipe rubdown and a glorified brushing to avoid any sneezing of our house guest's and loves to play with his toys. We did not change his name since he most likely has had it for his whole cat life and it matches his beautiful coat. Please see picture attached.

PRINCESS
I am sweet, I am beautiful, and I want a forever home. I lived outside and a rescue angel fed me and then got in touch with Siamese Rescue. Here I am learning how to be a house kitty. Foster mom and pa tell me I am beautiful and I am starting to believe them.

Millie has been renamed to Princess, she is such a princess so the name seemed fitting. Princess is doing great. She enjoys sleeping with us and the Papillons at night and just hanging out during the day. One of her favorite activities is sitting on the many widow ledges and watching the horses and chickens outside. Princess is ruling the house a we all adore her!

PONCHO
OMC is my middle name - Outgoing, Mischievous Cat! I love to play, explore, climb, interact, chase, race, goof and overall be silly (and occasionally naughty). What can I say? I'm a young athletic boy, and it's not my fault none of the dowdy bunch here want to rock and roll with me - Aunt Siri even had the nerve to mark me as only cat, because I try so hard to play and when they don't reciprocate, well I get a little carried away. So for now it's playtime just with humans - got a busy household full of active teenagers? That might be perfect for me! Or an interactive household with lots of people who would like to be kept on their toes? Cuz I'm good at that! Sure I snuggle too, but I have to keep my packed social schedule fulfilled you know!

Notes from Home
After two weeks Poncho has taken over our hearts completely. We suspected that he would be a character and he certainly is! In all of his mischievous moments he remains eternally cute. Three adults all enthralled with one little cat.

He had his check-up at the vets and all is well. He was perturbed on the trip there, I think he was afraid that he was losing his new home. The trip home was much more peaceful.

EVIE
Hi! I'm Evie, and as you can see from my video, I'm a happy, loving girl. I have good litter box habits, love to eat, and love to be cuddled and petted. My points are officially show shoe because of my white feet, but my coloring is lilac (pink nose and paw pads) with a striped tail like a lynx. I bet my family tree is a colorful one!

I'd love nothing better than to find my forever home for the holidays. Any takers????

Purrs and headbutts,

Evie

Wow! What a great cat!!! Evie is the best :)

Evie is my BFF. She's a great girl. We've been through alot together since January. She fully recovered from her surgery in April. She's a total love bug. The only minor issue I have with her is that she tends to nip sometimes. I think she gets over excited. Other than that she has wonderful litter box habits, she's a healthy eater and has learned to use the scratching post.

Love my Evie girl. :)

JINX
Slow to adapt to change, once I'm adapted, look out. I sleep with you, play fetch with you, and love to be petted, even tummy rubs I consider absolutely excellent. I'm okay with other cats if they're nice but don't like woofers, and would like a quiet home please!

Notes from Home
Who says I'm slow to adapt? Sure, I spent my first day squeezing myself into the tiniest hiding places I could find and forcing my new mom to to twist in all kinds of intersting ways to get me out for the "tough love" Siri told her I'd need, but when she went to bed that night I hopped right up beside her and made myself at home. I still spend a lot of time under the bed, but I can always be coaxed out for pets and I'm starting to get interested in my toys again. I'm still a little nervous about being out in the open when my mom's on her feet and moving around, but I'm getting a little braver about it every day. I'm curious about what's on the other side of this bedroom door, but I'm not quite ready to explore it yet. I think that's pretty good for a cat that had to be pulled out from behind the fridge so he could go home just 4 days ago!

1/19/2013
Jinx here--two weeks in my new home and I'm getting a little more comfortable every day. I'm not quite brave enough to come out from my hiding place to meet my mom, but I usually come out when she calls me. I'm starting to play on my own again, but when my mom tries to play with me I just look at her like she's nuts and beg for more pets. I'm a little put out with her right now, because this morning she stuffed me back in that carrier and took me to see the vet. What a way to spoil a nice weekend! It was scary, but the vet says I'm a very healthy boy and everyone who met me commented on what a sweet cat I am.

3/1/2013
Two months in my new home and I've come a long way from the skittish kitty who arrived back in January. I still dart under the bed when I hear the door open, but as soon as my mom calls me I come running out for pets, chirping like a little bird. I still get spooked by people walking around, no matter how many times my mom promises she won't step on me--I just can't help it. I don't think it was very nice of her to laugh at me when she surprised me in the kitchen last night either. Seeing my paws slip out from under me couldn't have been THAT funny, and it's hardly my fault that paw pads don't get good traction on wood floors.

I've gotten much more playful over the past couple of months, and I've even taught my mom to play fetch with me. She really enjoys watching me run after my fuzzball, although I've learned that dropping it on her face first thing in the morning is not a good way to get her to play. I'm also shamless about begging for belly rubs. Mom says I'm going to meet some new people this weekend--her parents are coming to visit. I'm a little nervous, but she says they like kitties as much as she does and will be very nice to me, so we'll see. Maybe I'll let them spoil me too!

7/5/2013
I can't believe it's been 6 months since I moved into my new place! I'm still not sure about new people, but if they stick around for a day or so without doing anything too scary I'll come out and make friends. I'm completely comfortable one-on-one with my mom. Why hide under the bed when I can hang out with her and get head scritches and belly rubs? I wasn't too happy when she left town for week and let strange people come over to feed me and scoop out my box, but she came home and made up for it with a few games of fetch and lots of snuggle time. My mom says I'm the purrfect gentleman--no litterbox issues, all scratching confine to my post and mat, and all pets and treats graciously accepted. She also says something about being spoiled rotten quite a lot, but I prefer to think of it as having my person well trained. Check out my new picture--this is my favorite way to spend an evening with my mom.

OTIS
A gentle souled guy who needs a soft hand, a gentle voice and a loving touch, and who then, only then, can absolutely guarantee you I will be a very snuggly, very loving, very adoring soulmate. Great choice for someone looking for that deep, meaningful relationship with their cat!

Notes from Home
Otis is doing wonderfully. He was friendly and affectionate from day 1, and he could not be more loving. He sleeps with us every night, and spends most of his day by my side. He's quiet (except that he purrs almost nonstop!), friendly, and is just a loving companion. I couldn't be happier with how he's fitting in and he's already brought a great deal of joy to my life.

Nicole

9/15 Update: Otis continues to do very well. He survived spending a few days with my boyfriends mother when we had to go out of town - I'm pretty sure I was more upset than he was! When he came home he sniffed around a bit but otherwise settled right back into his usual routine of cuddling with his humans as much as humanly possible.

Behaviorally, he's got a couple of interesting quirks. He licks things, particularly textured things: blankets, the vent on the wall (I stop him when I catch him!) and above all, our arms. My boyfriend in particular; it's like he's grooming him. It's pretty cute.

He barely talks at all (unless he's in his cat carrier, which he does not like), chases various toys and chews on my fingers when he's playful, and is just overall a perfect cat. I love him beyond measure.

1/31/11 Update: Otis is the best possible cat for our family. He has bonded extremely closely with me and follows me around the apartment when he's awake. When he's asleep, it's almost always within arms reach of me. He's also quite fond of my boyfriend - he crawls under the blanket to sleep between Ian's legs and tickle him with his whiskers.

He's very playful and makes us laugh with his ferocity - it's pretty funny to see an 8 pound ball of fur attacking his own tail.

I've included a new photo. I couldn't be happier with him and the adoption. Thanks for bringing Otis into our lives.

6/9/11 Update - I think Otis finally, completely, believes this is his home, and we are his people. He's become a little more independent, taking naps away from me (the horror!) and spending more time by himself in the apartment, even when I'm home. That makes me a little sad - what do you mean my cat doesn't want to spend every instant by my side? - but mostly very happy. It's good to see him becoming more self-assured.

He's also a little more talkative. He's by no means a prototypical Siamese in that regard, since we can go days without hearing a peep out of him (except the purr, of course - he purrs every day). But lately he's been more comfortable with expressing his displeasure. It's funny to see him sitting on the bed, crying at me because I have the audacity to take a bath. And a few weeks ago, Ian and I went out for the evening, and when we came home, boy did we get in trouble! I actually think something must have scared him (we left the screened window open so he could sniff out it) - he sometimes "yells" at us when we go out at night, but he was obviously distressed and agitated this night, requiring affection for a good hour before he calmed down. I suspected that he would spend that night plastered against my side in bed, and much of the next day on or near me, and I was right. But then he was back to his usual self.

His new game is "under the sheets", and I laugh every time to see this relatively small cat try to get all scary and vicious while fighting with the sheets. You've got to be quick, though - sometimes those flailing claws hurt!

Words can't express how much I adore this cat, and how happy I am to have made him a part of our family.

8/10 - I can't believe it's been a year since we brought Otis home. Sometimes it feels like we just got him, and other times I can barely remember a time when he wasn't around.

He went to his yearly vet visit yesterday. I didn't think it would be any big deal - his first visit was uneventful, so other than the trip in the kitty carrier and car (which he hates), I assumed it would be smooth sailing.

Oh, how foolish of me.

He got scared at one point in the exam and it went all down hill from there. Because the vet wasn't done with the examination yet, he didn't get a chance to calm down, and became progressively more agitated. Then he needed shots. Long story short, all three of us (myself, the vet, and the vet tech) ended up with scratches as he fought desperate to get away from these strange people who were trying to hold him still for unknown purposes. He even growled, which I've never heard him do! He got the important shot (rabies), but the vet called it quits after that, and I had to wash the off the blood from two deep scratches on my hand. For an 8 lb. ball of fur, he's feisty! He essentially beat three fully grown adults and forced our submission to his will, which was "leave me alone!".

As a postscript - he was quiet all the way home (but panting and breathing hard) and a little stand-offish when we first got home, but within a half an hour he was on the couch by my side, take a bath like nothing had ever happened. He got tuna for dinner, and woke me up at 6 am by licking my face, just like he always does. I'm glad he's so quick to forgive! :D

Anyway, we absolutely love our boy, and I'm pretty sure he's fond of us, too.

7/4/13 - We're coming up on three years for Mr. Otis, who remains the lord of the manner. He's a playful, deeply affectionate cat. He's got some quirks that drive us a little nuts sometimes (we can't figure out why he cries at the ceiling, for example), but for the most part we think he's just absolutely perfect.

We're looking at getting him a companion, since I'll hopefully be going back to work full time soon, and he's just such a sociable cat I don't think he'd like to be alone in the apartment for that much of the time.

DIEGO
There are just no words for a guy as nice, as loving, as friendly, as chatty, as wonderful, as Siamese as this guy is. Isn't too happy to share his people with other cats, though.

You just have to watch the video to believe.
5/19/12- We went on a little outing today to Petsmart. I went along to help Meowmy tell folks about Siamese Cat Rescue. It was great fun cause everyone made a big fuss over me. I like wearing my walking jacket and going for walks, so meowmy said I can take it with me to my forever home, in case you want to take me visiting.

Notes from Home
Diego a.k.a. DeNoso, is doing very well so far. He is eating, using his box, sleeping and bonding with the whole human family! We still have him in the master bedroom and he is showing signs of curiosity outside the room from time to time. We go on a mini-vacation this week-end and have plans to start the integration process upon our return. He also will see our vet on the 21st for a good once over!

We went out and got him a small cat tree w/two levels to assist him in getting on our bed and to give him a little fun. We also got a couple more toys, dry food, and treats. All of which he loves. His first choice if we are not in the room is his bed though. Won't touch the one the rescue sent, but the one he is used to he loves. Good call Jeanne! It seems that when we brought his things in on Friday, he became all excited and attacked the tree and has been using it as well. He like to walk up to the carpet part and attack!! He thinks he is really something and of course we go along with it! He really does not do much with his lack of nails and couple of teeth! lol.

He purrs up a storm especially when either of the boys walk into the room. I walk in and get a warm greeting, yes, but they get a super greeting! They love that of course. He is gentle and loves to snuggle with them and Zachary my 11 year old says he has him "trained" to go onto his lap when he calls him and pats his lap. It is true Diego does exactly that when Zachary asks! He is getting a lot of love and seems to be really getting comfortable with us. He sleeps with me (against me at all times) during the night. He will wake us up with that loud, crazy sounding meow if he is hungry...hasn't happened since I wised up and got the dry to help tie him over. The first time we heard it I thought something awful had happened! In his eyes it did, we did not feed him by 5:30am! Yikes!!!

I will keep you posted as things develop. I am sure the next month will keep us on our toes and we start the process of everyone getting to know one another...dogs and cat!

Thank you all again. We feel very lucky to have found such a great 'kitten'.
07/03/2013-Diego is doing absolutely wonderful. His health is very good and he is current on all his vetting. He loves the dogs and has bonded very much with the younger of the two. They often lay in the sun and cuddle. He is also a delight with the kids, and if I ever own another cat, it will be an older cat for sure! The only surprises we have had with his personality is how great it really is. He is by far the best kitty for an active family regardless of his age. He gets in the mix and does not want to be left out.

He is getting ready for a big adventure. We are moving to Chesapeake, VA in two weeks. We cannot go house to house as we hoped, so the Robinson crew will all be in at a Residence Inn for a week then the new house. They will not know what hit them! I have no worries that he will do fine as long as we are all together and that is the plan. No member left behind! We'll make sure the four legged members feel secure. Our email should not change.

Thank you for everything. I will try to send photos via email. The Robinsons

OLIVE
Hi, I'm Mira (pronounced Meera).

I am one lucky lady. My elderly owner could not care for me any more, so her daughter brought her to the shelter. And standing right there was a Siamese Rescue volunteer. How lucky can you get!

I'm a dark beauty with gorgeous blue eyes. I'm super friendly, too. I will give you all the love you want (and kisses, too.).

Foster mom has to work on better pictures. I keep getting too close when she tries to take my picture.

Please give me a forever home.

Hi, My name is Marbles and no I am not a feline male model but foster mom says I could be. So far I told foster mom I DON'T like those other cats... I have not met any doggies yet so don't know that yet... People... I love them. Men, yep I especially like those but the ladies are okay too!

I am relaxing and decided food and cuddles are a very good thing again... so ask about me. It's only been a few days so I have lots of things to reveal to foster mom.

Due to a heart defect Maximus (Marbles) passed away on 6.18.13. If love could have saved Maximus he would have been alive forever. He was our little prince (he was all boy with his big puppy paws and all) too young to be crowned king just yet however he was awaiting his coronation.

SUGAR
Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch
You know that I love you(I dooo)
I can't help myself...
No... I can't help myself

This is one of those cats you just can't help but love ! If you're looking for a super affectionate companion, this gal is it. She headbutts, she purrs, she rubs, she rolls over for belly rubs ! Having nails trimmed didn't faze her, having a bath didn't faze her....

Notes from Home
Sugarpie has really settled into the routine around here now. She's completely comfortable with the entire house and goes where ever she pleases and gets on anything she pleases. She's fond of throwing grapes around after pulling them from the bowl. She has many spots around the house where she'll sleep during the day. You never know where you might find her. That tells me she is quite content with this home. She get along well with the others which I'm not surprised by since she came from a 13 cat household. She has her kookie time in the morning that is allotted to all Siamese. It looks like cat Nascar around here sometimes! She's very attached to my 19 year old daughter but she's getting ready to go away to York College in a couple weeks so Sugar will have to do with me for a while.
That's about it for now. I'll update again in the near future.
6/27/13
I found it very difficult to make this note so it's the reason for my putting off.
I had Sugar put to sleep on 11/29/12 after an acute mega-colon episode. After a Sunday evening trip to the emergency vet, she stayed over night and was given enimas. Monday I took her to my vet and began giving her lactalose. By Wednesday still no defication, took her back to my vet where she was thru Friday. They were unable to get her to move her bowels after many enimas. As I did not think I could afford for them to operate I was forced to put her to sleep. The most difficult choice imaginable. I have certainly not gotten over it to this day. I loved her dearly and miss her just as much.
