Notes from Home
(9/10/2012) Chavo is a wonderful, playful, crazy, happy kitty. His vet visit went well - perfectly healthy. He eats like a maniac and plays like one too. He gets super snuggly when he's sleepy and loves to give kisses. He and his new step sister get along really well. They wrestle and play hard, and a lot of the time it seems they have no interest in us because they're so consumed with each other. But Schatzi treats him great, grooms him, and is trying to teach him some things he never was able to learn when he was tiny.

We love our new kitties!

(8/24/2013) We just had our one year anniversary with Chavito! He's such a great kitty cat, my best friend in the world, actually. Every morning he wakes me up by licking my nose. He's always happy and ready to play, and always ready to do something naughty.

ISABEL (IZZY)
Whew! So much has happened in just a few days. It is a bit unsettling, but hold me and I get all relaxed. I think I like it here and the cats are pretty A-Okay.

I might be ready to go home in about 3 weeks so hurry up and ask about me.

Notes from Home
Izzy is just the most laid back, mellow kitty. She has a tiny high pitched voice, not meezer at all. She sings and chirps all the time, most loudly in the mornings. She snuggles and cuddles and doesn't mind being held or carried around. I think this due to the fact that her grandmother has carried Izzy outside with her every single day to get the paper. Izzy is as big as her grandmother now though, so it's funny to see them heading down the driveway. Izzy doesn't squirm or try to get away. She just looks all around and loves to sniff the leaves and flowers.
She meets her momma at the door every day when I get home, singing a song. I pick her up and give her belly kisses. She sleeps part of the night on the pillow next to me and will nap on my chest. I think she roams the rest of the night.
Sid, Izzy's older sister still tries to be the Big Kitty, but Izzy is clearly dominant and quite a bit bigger than Sid now. They play and fuss and then nap next to each other. Izzy likes to jump off chairs onto poor Sid's head, but they usually end up playing after. If momma is giving Sid attention, Izzy will often walk up and put her paw on Sid's head. She's VERY big on the pats when she isn't getting attention.
She hasn't shown much fear at all. Once a bird flew at the window she was sitting at and Izzy flew three feet in the air! She will let strangers pick her up and doesn't run and hide. She really is so mellow. And I just adore her. Her grandmother does as well. Sid likes her most of the time. :)

It's been a great year and I am SO grateful Foster Momma Julie saved her life. She is a happy, healthy, sweet, and sassy baby and my life wouldn't be the same without her. She tolerates my kisses well, which are often!
Thank you thank you thank you for all you do!

TEX
Well check out my new picture. Aunt Siri had a terrible time because all I wanted to do was kiss her! Hey said Uncle Darrell! Cut that out! You're supposed to be posing for the camera, not showering my wifey with kisses! Well, then, someone had better adopt me fast because I gotta be kissing someone!!!!

DUNCAN
Busy playing, eating and working hard at getting bigger so I can find my forever home!
I need another kitten or a playful cat to be with, I love to play chase and wrestle, and cuddle with a buddy when I get tired.
Did I mention I am totally adorable? That is what my fostermom tells me every day, and I agree with her!

Notes from Home
He is a very sweet, gentle, well adjusted boy who loves everything no matter what. Cars, other kitties, dry/wet food, any litter, all kinds of toys, any scratchers, etc... He's just a very happy boy! And cute as a little pumpkin :D
Duncan and our 1-year old kitty Lincoln have been fast friends ever since the assimilation period was over. They're really good company for one another and we laugh and laugh when they play together! As soon as I can get a good one I'll send a pic of them sleeping together or looking out the front window at the birdies--they *love* being together.
Thank you all so much for rescuing this very special little guy. He's a real joy.
Jill, Mike, Lincoln, and Duncan

One Month Later: He's still doing really well! He's growing and playing and slowly learning that we're family. He has begun sleeping with us and, while he wakes up *really* early, it's always with a snuggle, face rubs, and kisses on my nose--he's unbelievably cute and sweet. Duncan and Lincoln are still getting along very well and we're very happy that they have each other while we're both away at work. When we come home they're either playing or snuggling together on the leather chair! Adorable!

UPDATE: Duncan is happy and healthy at 3 years old and we couldn't love him more! He's our little dumpling and still loves to have his belly rubbed. (Rubbing a kitty tummy is like talking to angels--isn't it?) He and Lincoln (4 yr meezer) are true brothers that love to play together and groom each other--it is WAY cute! He is seriously a meowmy-boy though and shys away from most men, including his Paw, but every now and then he'll sidle up and give some love to Paw just to let him know that everything is cool. A houseguest last week even got a piece of tummy-rubs, so I think he's coming around! We are extremely lucky to have Duncan and sincerely thank the Siamese Rescue League (and Heida) for talking such good care of him when he was little and then letting us bring him into our family. He is a delight.

DAPPER
I'm a constantly purring, head butting loverboy-the sweetest cat ever, I'm healthy and playful, and love to sit on your lap, and love it when you pick me up to cuddle. I talk a lot, too! I would be happiest in a home with another cat or dog, as I am a very social, playful kitten-like little guy. If you bend down to pet me, I will jump up on my hind legs to meet your hand, with an "elevator head butt"!

I love everybody, kids, dogs, other cats. You can see from the video that I love people! I love my foster home, but a forever home with another cat would be purrrrfect! Please ask about me, or someone else may adopt your best choice!

See my video!

Notes from Home
Dapper has really integrated as a very important member of our family. He is, according to my sister, "the sweetest cat I've ever met". He loves cuddles, even from the kids and will even go up to my 18 month old niece for cuddles and pats! He is extremely patient with our girls who love to pick him up and carry him. He lays like a sack of potatoes in their arms and purrs. He's also gained a bit of weight since we got him but nothing that's a concern to the vet.

When we first got Dapper, he was showing severe allergy signs to food - skin scabs on his chin, intermitent loose stools, severely stinky gas. We put him on a raw diet which he has been on for the past four months. This diet has done wonders for him! He no longer has any of the previous symptoms and seems overall happier and more content.

We love hiso very much.

SPYCE
Mama says I'm just a 'ball of spunk!'
I'm fearless and playful. I'm spring-loaded and ready to rumble!
I'm daring even though I'm super tiny. Just look at my 'game face'!!!

It's GAME ON!

Spyce felt right at home the moment she entered my house. She is full of love and ENERGY! She is quite the climber and loves the new tall cat tree house I bought her to climb. She is constantly chasing her tail and wanting to to play with her older brother Gabbana. Although I don't think Gabbana is always happy that she wants to wrestle. Overall she is acting just like a kitten and growing well.

Notes from Home
I am happy to report that Anya has fully integrated herself into our home. She is eating much better. Her health check-up went well. The veternarin was impressed with the documentation and care that Anya received while at the rescue center. She talks loudly, sleeps on my bed at night and gives me her soft paw treament to my face to wake me up each morning, most often well before its time to wake up. She is a good companion and koves her new home. She has become the cat that we knew she could be under the right circumstances. No more krinkle sack ever.

A short note to let you know that Anya is a great companion, loving and sweet one could say she is polite, considerate, not demanding. She lets me know what she wants - food, water, when she wants to lap sit, and tells me when its time togo to bed. Anya couldn't be better. She settled in just as we thought she would.

KIKI
I'm marked as an only cat because I'm afraid of the other cats. If you had a cat who guaranteed would totally ignore me, I'd be okay.

I'm a love of a cat. Cute as a button for a full figured gal, with a silly personality to match. I love my people once I feel secure. I'd love to try you out - would you try me out? No commitments, just a few first dates? How about it?

If we like each other, we'll ride off into the sunset together. Or sit and eat bonbons, whatever you prefer. If not, well then we'll part ways, and look for someone else!

Notes from Home
Kiki has discovered many things to like at her new home, but the backporch and bay window from which she surveys her new queendom are favorite spots. She runs initially when confronted by strange noises but recovers in seconds. My grandson likes giving her treats, not too many as she's on a diet and new exercise program that should help her stay more fit.

Kiki's Indian name is "Waddles Down Hall" but over the last month she has started to run down the hall, especially in the morning when she wants food. The "f" sound is a good one for her--fud, feed, etc. She lives in a world of good things but each morning is like the movie "Fifty First Dates" as her short- term memory seems to disappear overnight. Everyday, we begin with her feeding, then it's out on the porch for wildlife watching and daily grooming. If she doesn't want to go on the porch, just wait and pretty soon she's pawing at the door to join her people. By evening a few treats will entice her to join in a little tv watching and petting. She'll sleep at the foot of the bed.

Weight loss hasn't happened, but she does like to move more (running, playing with toys on her own). Her groomed coat is less dry (fish oil drops in her food) and more silky to the touch. Her eyes are tearing less as well.

Kiki has proven to give her adopters many occasions to smile (or roll on the floor laughing), and we are very happy to have her in our lives.

8/16 Major milestone today when Kiki decided to put paw on lap and climb aboard! Mom held her breath. She didn't stay long but it was such a big step.
