Notes from Home
Kellie is doing great, after just 2 days in our home this shy girl has made a complete 360 she is stuck to us and everyone that comes to our home like velcro. It's hard to believe that just 2 weeks ago you would have sworn that we didn't have another cat cause you never saw her, now she comes out to greet everyone it's amazing. Her and Riley get along just fine. Just like any other little sister she can push his buttons but they go right back to playing and loving on one another. We want to thank everyone who helped us complete our family, we couldn't have done it with you guys thanks again.

Amanda, Kevin, Riley, and Kellie

Update: 9/4/13
It's been an absolutely amazing 2 years since Kellie was placed with us. And boy has she grow. She still has that squeaky little voice she always had, just now with a bigger more graceful body to follow. Kellie still pushes Riley's buttons, but they couldn't be closer. I love coming home from a long day to have them great me at the door, just hear Kellie let the biggest squeaky meow she can manage. She's probably 100% attached herself to Kevin, and he couldn't be more pleased . To come home from a long day at the office and have his blue eyed baby meet him at the door, is the cutest ever. And watching Kellie and Riley play is too cute. Thanks everyone it's been a fabulous 2 years and we wouldn't change a thing.

MOLLIE
Oh by gosh by golly, yes I am Mollie.

My eyes will always look sad, but I can be jolly given a chance.

I lost my home due to allergies, whatever they are. So, please tell me true you dont have allergies so you can adopt this Mollie.

I have excellent litterbox habits and eat well.

Let me be your Mollie before too long and then I have to be a holly Mollie.

Purrs,

Mollie

Notes from Home
Mollie came home with us on the Saturday before Labor Day and she was very shy at first. When we let her out of the carrier she immediately hid under a chair.

Three weeks later she is settling in and has become more sociable. She comes over and hops into your lap while you are working on the computer. She hops up to sit beside you, or on you, while you are reading or watching TV. She loves to sit on the porch and watch the birds outside. She and our other cat run around the house together and
sniff each other regularly.

Sunday, October 2,2011

i just uploaded a picture of Mollie when she was confined to the porch.
Now she has the run of the house along with Ratcat, our other cat. Mollie and he are getting along well, playing and running around the house together.
Mollie's foster sent a bag of toys home with her and so far Mollie has shown little interest in them. What she does like to do is to bat a small bit of crumpled up paper around the house like she's playing hockey or something. She may have picked this up from Ratcat.

Saturday Nov 12
Mollie enjoyed our porch and spent a lot of time there whne the weather was warmer.. Here you can she has found high ground.

Tuesday, March 20.
Mollie is a slow bloomer. She is a sweet kitty who needed time to feel safe and relax. She now spends most of her time out in the open, rarely hiding. She and our other cat, Ratcat, get along well and have started to groom each other. And they run around the house together in those bursts of energy cats have,

Mollie has one interesting habit. Sometimes in the bathroom I just push the door closed and it doesn't latch. Mollie pushes the door open and comes in and wants to get on your lap. So we make sure to latch the door now!

I must say that when we first brought her home I wasn't sure how it was going to work out but it did, with time.

Wednesday, Sept 12, 2012
Mollie has been with us and RatCat, our other Siamese, for just over a year now.
She continues to show more of her personality. She sheds more than RC so I decided it might help if I brushed her every day. She just loves it and has become more affectionate and now actually likes being picked up.
Since the weather got warm enough to open the screened porch she has taken ownership of it. She loves to be out there to watch birds and squirrels and people and the occasional cat. She also likes to sleep out there.
I haven't taken pictures lately because Mollie seems not to like it and she's been doing so well I didn't want to upset here.

Tues, Sept 3,2013
Mollie is a bona-fide member of the family now, The picture shows her enjoying the weather on our screened porch.

LUNA
Here I am! I'm a victim of the economy like so many are these days. I've only been here a little while, but I'm purring and chatting and enjoying the attention I'm getting. I've been to the vet to be spayed, and I'm soon ready to go home. I lived in a home with 4 other kitties and a big doggie, so I would probably be able to live in your home too. Foster mom doesn't know too much about me yet, but she knows that I am sweet, friendly, and beautiful! Why not ask about me?

Notes from Home
Sept 1 2013, Luna Pearl aka Lunatickle (formerly Jazzie) has been here with us for one year today! She is a total love sponge and the darling of my heart. She has actually grown bigger and is giving ol' Theodore (formerly Simon Jowells) a run for his money. He loves having a playmate that isn't afraid of him and when he's being too sleepy she'll run up and tag him on the butt with her paw. A favorite thing of hers to do is to carry a small stuffed animal, sock, kitchen towel, or anything else soft in her mouth as "prey" and a "gift" to me. She has actually brought me my great big fluffy slippers. She's bright-eyed, inquisitive, and very attuned to her Humans. My housemate loves her to bits and when I went to Cape Cod for a week he let her sleep on his bed with him, right up against his chest. We are a happy fambly!

This little wonder of a kitty is all my heart. I can't imagine what good thing I did to deserve her. She's loyal and loving and totally engaged. I got out of the hospital a few weeks ago and she was so overjoyed to see me she wouldn't leave my side for the two purrful days I was bedridden. Such a sweetheart! Of course we have slight issues with Bossypants Theodore chasing her off all the goodies - the cat trees, the millie beds, the good windowsills - but there are so many he can't really keep track, and being 10 yrs old he does sleep quite a bit. Pheromone collars have helped a ton. They like eachother and play together though, and the tables are likely to turn in her favor a bit as he grows older. A happy household made happier by my Luna girl.

SPECK
Hey, everybody, I'm Sydney! I'm here to rock your world! Playful, beautiful, athletic and affectionate. I'm all those things and I just got here. Do you love me yet? I have some itchies I need to get better from and foster mom needs to learn more about me. More soon. Gotta run. Bye!

Notes from Home
It's been two weeks and she's lots of fun. Sneak attacks and laser tag. Can't go in the kitchen alone because she's always hungry (and yes, we are free feeding the dry food!). Like Rinn said she's a very busy girl. Hair is soft and grown back except her spay patch, but the speckled color of her coat inspired her new name. She overstimultes quickly, though, and prefers sitting on my husband's lap--she won't stay on mine and we haven't figured out why. Still time for that to change though. She slept on the bed with us for the first time, I hope that continues.

right now, my favorite part is her big chin-- she reminds me of the grumpy cat on the interwebs. that and the white front paws that give her away when she's taking flying leaps at your thighs.

Aug, 2013
Speck now has a kitten to contend with, another meezer from VAsiamese rescue. she is getting good exercise from tackling him and doing hallway sprints. she no longer sits on our laps at all. she is still standoffish when it comes to cuddling or brushing with two exceptions. if Swiz is nowhere around, and you're on the toilet, she will relax and purr as long as you like. the other time she acts like she really likes me is when i put her on my shoulders. she assumes the correct position for balancing (draping her four legs down my back and front in order to stay flat) purrs some and supervises things like making coffee. She doesn't attack our legs any more now that she has Swiz to attack.

Her hair has become very dark everywhere, even some on the belly. she's also grown chunky, which is amazing considering how much exercise she gets. but she's still very food oriented. she'll meow politely to bring attention to the water bowl or the food bowl. she seems very intelligent, too bad she hasn't figured out how nice it is to cuddle. she's pretty mellow tho and we love having her around.

DYLAN
Well whoever lost me sure lost out. I am a CHARMING boy who enjoyed my bath and post bath cuddle (purred and purred), has a great voice, and is sweet as they come. Yup, hard to see me in my videos cuz I was too busy headbutting and purring!

Dylan is doing great and adjusting well. He is still a little shy around the kids but he is very affectionate with him new "Mom". He follows me around talking all the time. Dylan loves being brushed and won't go to bed till he's had a good brushing. We are still learning his likes, dislikes and quirks and are so happy he is part of our family.

SIMON
Stunning Si-mon is ready to go home!

Total lover! Soooo wants another kitty for a companion.

Great litterbox and eating habits.

Great older boy with superior bloodwork.

No politics here!

Notes from Home
Simon is a great cat. He was shy until we moved recently. Now, he claimed his turf and it seems he has scared Indigo back to her old habits of hiding and not using the litterbox. He likes to fight with her. I have them separated again in hopes to integrate them in a more positive way. He likes to chunks out of Indigo! Not sure how to fix that.

Gizmo is fitting in quite well with our other two cats. He is always looking for someone to play with along with a nap time buddy. So far his favorite spots to lay are wherever a human is sitting. He likes to make his presence known with a loving headbutt so you have to be ready!

COSIMA
Rumor has it, I am a very sweet kitty!! I am loving, happy and a purring girl with a secret that I am not telling!

Love & Biscuits,

Rumor

Notes from Home
2nd week anniversary home with Cosima formerly known as Rumor. We changed her name to Cosima because of her pretty blue eyes. Cosima is the feminine form of the Greek name for the universe, cosmos or kosmos. We wanted a pretty "blue" name to match her eyes. Since no one knew her original name we thought this would be OK. She is responding to it well, also responding to CoCo, sometimes we refer to her as our little cocoa puff girl, like the kids' cereal because she is so brown and pouffy.

She is settling in but this will take some time. I think that because she was so sick with a shelter cold that turned out to be asthma no one was able to discern the extent of the negative impact from her former living situation. We remind ourselves that she was confiscated by Animal Control for good reason. Whatever her former people did to her it sure left its mark. She wants to be a lovey girl but can't quite get to that point. She interacts well with Baxter but sometimes he is a pest and she tells him so. So far no real battles, just the occasional hiss or disappearing in a huff. I am sure we will get past all this and in a while she will be a very happy girl.

We are glad we adopted her and we're up for the challenge!

Thanks for asking, Karen

8.25.13 One month home with Cosima/Rumor!!!

She is still adjusting and we think this will continue to take more time than we expected. Things must be improving because she now allows me to scratch her head and rub her ears when I present her dish of wet food. She still much prefers Peter to me but hopefully that will change and she'll love/like/tolerate us equally well but that remains to be seen. Eats well, fine with the litter box and finally playing at night when she thinks we can't see her. So far no major battles with Baxter. I guess we're on the road to normalcy, whatever that is!

Karen

(8/13/2012) Schatzi (nee Gloria) is doing great. It's only her second day in her new, permanent home, but she seems happy, playful and cuddly. We love our new family member!

(9/10/2012) Schatzi is a well-adjusted, happy kitty. She loves her new step brother, Chavo. She grooms him and plays like crazy with him. It's amazing how fast she grew - already 5 lbs!

(8/24/2013) It's been over a year with our sweetheart Schatzi! I don't know how there could be a better, more sweet, well-behaved kitty in the world. She never does anything naughty! She still plays with her pal Chavo on a daily basis, and she loves looking at birds and sneaking out to explore our garage. And the best part of the day is when she goes for a ride on my shoulders!

WILLY
I've had it tough for such a young guy. Came from a hoarder home of 80 cats, with a badly infected eye. So bad, that I had it removed, but now I feel better. Never got much attention so far in life, and I'm unsure about people right now. But cats? I LOVE cats. Big ones, little ones, even funny looking furry ones. I cry for them when they leave me. Do you need a companion for a lonely kitty? Do you mind working with a little guy who's never had the attention he needs, and needs to learn that people are good things? Then ask foster mom about me and she will tell you what a sweet little guy I am deep in side, and explain to you what "potential" means. My eye has healed just fine, and my other one is a lovely blue. I get around great with one eye. Can find my food, my litter box, and my kitty friends just fine.
