Hi - my name is Ninja. That name was given to me by my previous family so that I would feel strong and brave. I needed that to help me through being at the shelter. It scared me a little bit, but as soon as soneone held and cuddled me, I was my "Ninja" self.checking out the place and purring up a storm. I am a very handsome snowshoe boy wearing socks on my front feet and shoes on the back. Oh, yes, and I am a bit "fur enhancerd on my back with a nice "fluffy" tail. He's a good boy. Getting acclimated and sweeter every day.
It's been about 6 months and all is good with Simon. We've found out that his tail actually gets a little less bushy and fuzzy in the summer, but now that Fall is approaching it's filling out again. That was pretty interesting. Simon is such a cutie. His favorite thing to do is chase his sister and mope if she's getting too much attention. His favorite toy is a laser pointer, but he also really loves his little stuffed mice. Sometimes he'll just tear down the hallway for no reason. It really makes us laugh.

PIPPIN
I have settled in and keep improving each day. I am a very reserved guy and like other kitties. I am comfortable with foster mom and will stretch out and relax on the floor. I'm still afraid when she walks near me and will run hide under something, but she can reach and pet me. I am definitely a project kitty but I can be a pal with time and patience - don't know it I will ever be a lap kitty but if you can settle for a supervisor, then I can do it. I would prefer to go to a home with a kitty so that I will have a friend to play with.

GENTLE BEN
The picture shows it correctly, I am a big and handsome boy! I have a big head to hold that super smart Siamese brain, and a big body to hold my even bigger Siamese heart. I have more love to give than I know what to do with, and will share that love by giving lots of purrs, cuddling in your lap, and even giving you kisses if you'll let me. So now I have one extremely important question for you. Why haven't you asked about me yet? I'm just sitting here waiting to jump into your lap, give you a great purr, look at you with my beautiful blue eyes, and steal a piece of your big heart. Big purrs.

Update: Foster Mom has discovered just how much I like to play! I love almost any kind of toy, balls, wand toys, catnip mice, even some of foster Mom's kids' toys are fun. The only toy I refuse to play with is this silly bird she bought that chirps. I mean seriously, did she think I wouldn't know that was a fake bird? Foster Mom says I also need to be an only cat. I just get too stressed by other cats, preferring my people instead. I'm fine with a cat-friendly dog, though. So go ahead, ask about me! You'll be glad you did.

hello everyone ay siiamese rescue.
It has been a little over a month since i brought litlle nadine home...she has been a great addition. It did not take her long to get fully acclomated to me, my routine and my seal point, tyler. She has had her vet check up, and the mild anemia she had on initial intake with SR has resolved. I weighed her tonight and she looks to be about 8.5 lbs... her appetiete and water intake is great. i even have her eating the holistic dry food now...
she is quite mischeivious, and quite agile for 10.5 years old...whichnis good, be ause tyler could drop a pound or two..so them running after each other will be good.
I am updating this after 6 month anniversary...nadine ( no nMe change, but she does have some nicknames) continues to do great. I just love her to death. she has settled at her new weight of 9.6 pounds, up fro 7.6 when i brought her home.
she does not like to be held much, there fore she has the nickname of " squirly whirley" she runns around the house, but oftern just relaxes on "her" bed...she loves to hide under the covers, especially at night... i see her doing this more in the winter. She and my sealpoint get alomg well...no issues there, although i did not think there would be.
Nadine has been a great addition. I am so happy i found her...and for 11 years old she has. lot of plat in her...as noted runs around frequently...will try to upload picks, but using ipad, so not sure how that will go.
she sleeps on the bed all the time now...where else do cats sleep...she actually likes to sleep under the covers...quite cute.
Nadine certainly has settled in...so happy i good give this little sweetie a good home.
ps i heard her silings were adopted too!!

Hi everyone !
Caz(mir) wants to let everyone know he is settling in just fine!
Yes, his coat has grown in nicely and he has gained weight ( as though that was a problem!). The guy loves to e-a-t ! He and Bali took about 10 days to acclimate to one another with Bali setting all the rules of engagement. It didn''t take long though before Caz, at a weight 10lbs above hers, deciding he would just pounce upon her if he wasn't satisfied as to how things were going. Being much smarter than he, she cleverly and quickly found ways to manipulate him or work around the situation. He is always bewildered by her cleverness!
We still have issues with his wariness of noises....the vacuum (YIKES!!!), the garage door opener, the garbage trucks, the lawnmower/blower, etc. He has desensitized to the majority of these, but his (assumed) adversary will forever be the vacuum, I think! Once he hears the click of the closet door opening, his ears go up, his tail goes down and the closest place to find cover is where you can find him. Poor kitty, the vacuum has never attacked him!
It's not all overwhelming for Caz by no means. He loves being on the deck with Bali and us, he loves sleeping on the bed at night and snuggling into down duvets, he loves his morning pre-breakfast taste of turkey and gravy( this is a must he says) kitty food before his dry kibbles, he enjoys being brushed( avoid tummy please), he delights in chasing his sister (at 3:30am) up/down the stairs though she is much faster than he, catnip is a friend, rolling over and over on oriental rugs is great fun, nipping at our toes upon exiting the shower or when putting on socks gives him great pleasure..and there is more, more, more......
As you can see, he makes us smile and we think he smiles also. Though I am not quite sure what like was like for him prior to Siamese Rescue, I know it's better for him now.

SMOKEY
I'm a very loving boy who was quite bewildered at first, but now I'm happy again. After 5 years with my person I was turned into a shelter and I don't know why. I'm a good boy with good litter box habits and very loving too.
I do have a chronic wheeze, but I've had it since I was a baby so I guess it isn't a big deal. Meowmy did find out that I have asthsma but I'm now on just 1/2 a pill every other day and it does help.
I've made friends with a male cat that is here, so another laid back cat would be ok to pair me with as long as it wouldn't be in my face to play all the time. I love to be petted and am a very happy lap sitter. Could you open up your home and heart for a boy like me who isn't perfect, but still deserves a loving home? I hope so, cause I have so much love and headbutts to give you!

Hi Peggy,
I am having trouble connecting with the Center, even using the links provided below. So, I will update here, with you; maybe you can help me. Supposedly, my computer was hacked, although, it may be a fraudulent call to get information from me, so I did not cooperate, and have not been on my computer, and rarely on,y iPad which is full of problems.
Smokey, who was so frightened, would not sit in our laps, ran from us, except our grandson, Matt, has finally sat on my Hubby's lap twice, now. Smokey will head butt me, and did, right from the start. Naturally, we did not force our affection on him, but we were loving, and open to whatever Smokey wanted; he is the cutest little boy/kitty. He will sit by me, only if I sit on the floor; he also has always loved to play with Matt, and me. Clipping his nails, brushing, and de-shedding him, with Furminator, is very difficult, and must be done carefully, a little at a time, allowing him to escape frequently, so it can take a few days! haHa!
Hi breathes fairly quietly since he was taken off steroids, and put on Singular, 1/8 to1/4 tablet daily. He is so strong, all muscle, and appears extremely healthy. He is on a hyperalergenic  dry diet, two kinds of food, one is Venison and peas, one is a Soy mixture. I mix the two. He likes ice in his water. For awhile, he would sit on a window perch for hours, but...something must have frightened him, because for almost four weaken, now, he will not go to his perch. He follows me around some, but always when I go to the restroom! He gets frightened, even when nothing is happening; he appears to invent frightening happenings, really!! He pretends to hear things, his ears flatten, and he looks afraid...but not for long. I don't know what happened to him   , when he was in his original home, but it really harmed him.
I do feel he has come a long way in the past six months, compared to how frightened he was.
He loves to play and he is so very nosey. We are totally in love with him. I like to pretend to be asleep, because he will sit on my chest, butt my cheeks, until I open my eyes. We watch Jeopardy together, sitting on the floor, and he occasionally reads the paper with me, laying on it of course. He is addicted to chewing on plastic trash bag ties, cellophane, and some plastics, so I have to watch him like a hawk. He likes to sit on the floor, watching birds, squirrels, and chipmunks eat on our deck. First he gets that prowling stance, sneaking up on the critters, and pouncing toward the sliding door; it is too cute! He will watch them for hours.
Smokey has never slept in his beds no matter where we put them, but he likes our bed, either at the bottom, or on my side. He likes to play " Where's that Smokey, Where's that kitty" under the cover every morning, right after his medicine. Also, with an afghan on the living room floor. Naturally, I give him several rest periods to catch his breath...he would play forever, otherwise.
I wish he had a friend/kitty to pay with, but I do not know how that would work out; sometimes I feel he needs another pal, besides myself. After all, I can be boring!
Thanks to everyone at Siamese Rescue for helping us become Smokey's family; we truly love him so very much, and we treat him like Royalty, believe me.
Maybe you can post this letter to the update site as I haven't been able to get to the updates from the main menu....what do you suggest?

Beebong is doing great! He's very interested in people food and his begging ranges from lettuce to beans of all types, to yogurt, to fruits, to his favorite: any type of meat or fish-no discrimination. He's the most affectionate cat I've ever known and I'm so happy that he lives with me. Five years now! Going strong!
