Notes from Home
Baby Puss is David's cat and is everybody's friend - he's the perfect cat and we love him to pieces!
He's BFF to Sandy, Cocoa, and Zackery. We couldn't have found a better cat - too bad we could never find a name for him so he's remained simply "Baby Puss".

LUCIUS
I was part of an 'unwanted litter' which is not really considered lucky BUT now I am lucky since I now have this opportunity to be all yours. What I love most is playing and sitting in your lap for petting. It makes me so happy that I just can't stop purring. I know I will love you just as much as you will love me - SO ASK ABOUT ME.

Notes from Home
September 2013
I can't believe it's already been 2 years since we rescued our fur-babies! Lucius & Bella are such a huge part of our lives and we are so blessed to have them. There is not a single day that passes that we are not laughing, cuddling, belly-rubbing and playing with them. They have brought incredible joy and love to our home and we are so grateful!
March 2012
I can't believe it's only been 6 months since we brought home Lucius! It feels like he's been a part of our family forever. He and his sister Bella (Bellatrix) have bonded beautifully. There is non-stop play action - the ruff-n-tumble sort followed by curling up together for a mutual grooming session. Lucius is a big boy now, weighing in around 11 1/2 pounds - all muscle this one! He is incredibly playful and loves to chase paper balls or just about anything that's lying in the floor. He has an obsession with his water bowl - we think he's convinced there's something alive in there and he keeps trying to attack it. The comedy factor is well worth the mess! His loving coos and nightly "nutzies" are just some of the things that make being owned by him such a wonderful thing.
We are truly blessed.
Thank you SCRC, much love to all of you!
Lucius is doing extremely well in his new home - he's explored every square inch and declared certain spots as his own. He's enjoying the new treehouse that Logan built for him including the scratching post and hanging bell balls. His two favorite toys are the feather wands and wadded paper balls! He can literally jump straight up over 3' high, twist around midair and do a backflip when chasing the feathers :) A wadded piece of paper can have him (and us) entertained for hours as he bats it across the hardwood floors. He has his "nightly nutzies" and does his deep growl/bark as he zooms up and down the stairs, leaping over the back of the loveseat as he tears through the family room, and up and down the hallways. He's brought back such fond memories of my old meezer, Nikita - they are very much alike. Our home has been filled with more laughter, love, smiles and purrs than it has in a long time! Thank you so much, Kathi, Gina & Siri <3

Notes from Home
Doing great - big sister kitty is still not 100% sure I'm a keeper, but we're getting there. We do nose touches occasionally and SOMETIMES sleep on the same bed together. Fetching is fun and now I'm learning to catch and give meowmy a high five. I greet meowmy everyday when she comes home from work and if we're not playing, I just hang around to see what she's doing. I give her head butts and kisses. I've also learned that we don't play fetch at 4:00 a.m. I tried to convince her, but it was a no go.
Here's a pic of my new favorite nap place. Big thanks to everyone at Siamese Rescue for helping me with my forever home!
Monsieur Gambit LeBeau
9/2013 - big sissy kitty decided to take the trip to the rainbow bridge in January and meowmy decided I could not be an only child, so Galadriel (fka Glamourpuss VA 8979) joined the family at the end of January. She's a brat! I mean, I love having someone to chase through the house and play with, but she hogs all of the toys! But she's teaching me all kinds of neat tricks, so I guess we'll keep her.

Notes from Home
Rosemary has been doing great. She is a happy little girl. She likes her new house, is playing very hard all the time, and likes to cuddle a lot. We had our first vet visit today, and she is very healthy. She likes to carry her toys to her litter box, and play inside it but she is slowly growing out of it. She is eating well, and is about 4.1 pounds recently. She was very silent in the first days, but finally started to meow as I constantly talk to her. I am very happy to have her in my life. Thank you Siamese rescue!
October 28, 2012: Rosemary is doing great; eating well, sleeping well, very healthy. She is very playful and affectionate. She is not hiding when my friends come over anymore; she just goes to them and smells them and even plays with them. I think she feels very comfortable here. I am very happy to have her!
November 25, 2012: Rosemary got her Thanksgiving gift: Her brother and she finally got to meet each other. I was thinking what could be better than a Siamese:Two Siameses! They are doing great together. It took them three days before they started to groom each other. They are very lovely together. We are blessed!
P.S. Rosemary is very healthy, and doing well. She is 7.2 pounds, and 6.5 months right now.
Rosemary is now 16 months old and a happy, beautiful girl. She loves her brother Mavi, with whom she plays relentlessly all day. We moved from VA to TX together, and she was so nice in the airplane. Mavi hates airplanes, but I could tell that Rosemary's presence calms his down. Rosemary still has a low, babylike meow, unlike Mavi who likes to howl and prove his manliness:)
September 13. 2013: Rosemary likes to follow me in the house all day, likes to cuddle. I spent almost all my day with her at home, so when I went to vacation, petsitter's attention was not enough for her and she wet my bed and couch :) When I returned home, she stopped it. I love her regardless. She is such a great cat. Oh, and now she is 10 lbs.

JASMINE
My Funny Valentine~
Cute, petite,and oh so sweet~
Active and funny, with eyes blue and bright~
A tortie delight!
Sweet Jasmine!
Princess Jasmine has gone to her forever home but I just arrived here at the McMeezers. I'm hoping it's a short lay over for me because I WANT my forever home too!
Foster mom tells me that #1 I have to get to feeling better and get rid of this nasty cold. BE GONE NASTY COLD!
#2.. She also told me I'd need to see the vet for a spay party, ummm wonder what that is? I'M READY TO P-A-R-T-Y!
#3. And I have to put some weight.on my bones. I only weigh five pounds and foster mom says I need to pack on some padding before I'll be ready to travel. YUM, YUM! I LOVE ALL FOODS!
More later when I'm feeling better and more photos I promise!
Purrs,
Jasmine

Notes from Home
6 Months! Jasmine has really grown and even has a little belly. She plays fetch better than the two dogs so we are hoping that she will teach them soon but we have little hope for the canines! If we miss a night of throwing around her toys for her to retrieve she is quite perturbed and lets us know. She has definitely adjusted and knows that she rules the house. Her two favorite things are eating (and reminding us that it is time to eat) and getting brushed. Everyone always comments on her markings and she loves to greet company and challenge their balance and dexterity by darting in and out of their feet. This is particularly fun to do to mom and dad when we walk up and down stairs! We can't imagine her not being part of the household and her next vet visit is not for a while but she has been healthy - no eye problems, and is healthy and very active!
Thank you for rescuing her and helping her to be part of our family!
Marie and Eartle
9-11-13
Wow!! Can not believe that it has been a month already :)
She gained 2 pounds during the first 12 days and never looked back! We started her with some dry/wet mix for her meals and she makes sure that you are up to feed her by 5am. She still will only let you hold her when she agrees but she has to be right with you ALL the time. Definitely does not like eye drops. Had to get some for a few days - I think it will be an ongoing problem that we will have to stay on top of. She enjoyed "helping" me paint my office and generally gets into anything that you are near. She drags her toys to bed at night and I wake up with the "feathers" next to me in the morning. What a fun gift lol! Yesterday she helped Eartle replace the mailbox, peaking her head out the opening in the wall while he was trying to work. The puppy will still chase her when given the chance. We try to explain that if she would not run, the puppy will not chase but I do not think it is sinking in :) They have groomed each other and all of the critters are getting along with each other. All of the little people who visit love to play with her which is good because it wears her out. She has also found that batting around bottle tops for 20 minutes will induce a pretty good nap. I will try to get some pics soon but we absolutely made a perfect choice!

CLOE
I know, I know, cats named Precious come around allthe time, but I really AM just like my name, VERY Precious. I am a tiny little thing (only 4 pounds right now), but have a huge heart and purr. Yesterday afternoon, I hopped up on foster mom's lap and then curled up under her chin for a purring, kneading and headfbutting session followed by a nice Sunday afternoon nap. I hear that a "spay" (what's that?) is on my calendar for tomorrow and after that if I get a little bigger, I can go to my forever home. I love people and while I was at the shelter one of the staff carried me all over the building. I was just very interested in all the other cats and even the doggies and purred the whole time. No problems with any of them. I might even be OK with young kids, but time will tell on that one. I'm not a "diva" girl, just a sweet, sweet, precious, laid back girl. If you'd like a new "Precious" kitty in your home, be sure to ask about me. Purrs and lots of headbutts, Precious

Notes from Home
Our little girl had a lot of trials and tribulations over the last 6 months, but she is finally medically stable. After eliminating every other cause it could possibly be, we found out she has food allergies to every prepared cat food out there. As our vet explained, even if you find a novel protein food, you really don't know what's in it because they make multiple food varieties at every manufacturing facility, so they could have run chicken through the same machinery right before they run a novel protein through.
So, what do we feed her? We make her food out of bison and sweet potato. Just chop it all up and put it in a crock pot to cook it to death. Before serving, add vitamins, forti-flora, metamucil, and taurine. Since I am vegan, their food is about the only stew we have around here. Luckily, we found a butcher who owns a dog with food allergies so he gives us a cut rate on the meat.
It's worth it though. She is a sweetheart. She likes to nibble a little on our hands when we pet her and move her head to let us know exactly how she wants to be pet. Occasionally she'll bite a little hard but for the most part they are just love bites.
Yeah, we're smitten. Her and her brother Simon who we adopted at the same time are going nowhere.
