MYKO
I have settled in and now have foster room privileges. I used to live with a family with small children and I loved my family and am good with kids. I need to go with a family that does not have other cats or only nice gentle kitties. I am a very sweet girl and looking for a loving family to share my future with.
I am playful and interactive. Myko

Notes from Home
Myko is a real sweetheart. She loves looking out the windows, has claimed the top level of the cat tree and likes to sit in the play cube. I wish I had a picture of her carrying the little mylar pompoms around. Angel has to watch out for her tail - Myko likes to play with it :) Everything checked out OK at the vet.
12/15/13 - Myko is a little treasure and quite the talker. Her health is good and she will be getting her first "Senior" exam when she goes in for her next check-up. She loves to run and plays games with the other cat on the steps. Myko is a wonderful companion and follows me around the house, sleeping on the bed or the back of the couch when I take a nap.

TOMATO
Sweet, easy-going and I still enjoy a good chase if someone tosses me a catnip mouse or waves a wand toy. I lived in the same home for over 9 years, but made a very quick adjustment when I found myself in a new place, so that should tell you what an adaptable guy I am. I lived with Signe, but we aren't bonded so I can go to a new home with her, or without. I'm open to whatever comes my way.

Notes from Home
I took Tomato to the vet and she was surprised that he didn't look like a nearly 10 year old cat. I had the senior wellness bloodwork done on him. It was clear except for a slightly elevated white blood count. The vet was concerned that it could be a sign of a parasite. She did a fecal exam but found no parasites. She prescribed Cestex as a precaution.
Tomato has been challenging to my dog. Despite being older than my other cats, he is more active which has forced Wally to adapt to having cats roaming around. It also has changed Ricky as he is getting more and more outside his normal comfort zone.
This has been the easiest introduction of two male cats I've ever seen. Tomato basically ignores both cats. There are no issues when they are close, even when Ricky had to sample some food from Tomato's bowl (it was the same thing that was in Ricky's bowl!) Tomato hisses when he first sees anything but he doesn't seem to mean much by it. Both of my cats ignored him. They are not acting territorial and despite no bonding, they co-exist quite nicely.
12/14/13 Update: I love Tomato. He is nearly always by my side. He follows me around like a puppy dog (which does seem to irritate the actual puppy dog!) He loves attention and to be petted on though he is not especially a cuddly cat. He generally likes a little space between you and him, though I have woken in the middle of the night to find he's curled himself in my arms.
Ricky and Tomato continually amuse me. I'm not sure what I expected when I introduced two mature male cats but apathy was definitely not it. Ricky and Tomato can be side by side and both will have the look of "what other male cat". In the last week though, they have started playing a little bit. I think it mostly Ricky annoying Tomato for being in the cat tree (which after years of non-use is now the hottest place in my house for a male cat to sleep!)
If you didn't know that Tomato had just been with me for 6 months, you would swear I've had him his whole life. He is so easy going and has adapt so well to his new situation. He's adapted to daily feedings on the counter with no problem and he even is pretty easy going when Gabby comes and eats out his bowl instead of her own.

Notes from Home
12/2013 Jake has been here for 6 months and we can't imagine that we ever lived without him. He is just the right mix of very naughty and sweet as can be. Yes, he climbs the Christmas tree and yes, he opens the pantry and steals boxes of crackers but the snuggles and purrs are endless.
Jake is entering the terrible twos and getting into everything. He is rarely more than 2 feet from me, he gets along with everyone and is happy as can be. He gets lots of entertainment from the flies that have made their way into the house. There seems to be one a day but between him and Skippy they don't last long. He is starting to look less like a kitten and more lanky weighing in at almost 5 pounds! He is such a sweet pea. He couldn't be more perfect.

Waffles is a lovely addition to his new family. He has settled in nicely, spending his days chasing his canine companion, Gronk , eating his family out of house and home and catching up on some much deserved "R" and "R." Waffles and his family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to ALL of the SCRC volunteers who made his homecoming possible.

HAMLET
A total love bug, mush bucket, kissy faced nice guy - oh, that is with people :) I'm a little boisterous and pushy with the other cats, starting out fine but then becoming fairly jealous of attention. Superb with children. Superb with adults. Superb with all human beans. Just need a family of my own!

Notes from Home
It's hard to believe it's been a year since a Hamlet and I became a family. In some ways, it seems like yesterday. In others, I can't remember a time he wasn't by my side. Hamlet's become my buddy, my sidekick, my confidante. Showing more dog tendencies than most cats would dare to admit (licking my face, playing fetch), Hamlet is certainly not shy. He greets every visitor immediately and requires each and every one to admire just how lovable he is by flopping onto his belly, usually right in their walking path or on their feet. We're the perfect match!
