Notes from Home
Bran is the cutest thing ever, whatever he does and no matter how he does he does it with the most innocent and funniest gestures. He puts a smile on everyone that meets him and makes us laugh constantly. He loves to cuddle but quickly is more interested in anything moving around him and would give up almost anything to go play.. I said almost anything because food is still his number 1. He loooves to eat and doesn't fail to help me clean his plate entirely before handing it to me :))
It's been 6 months now (June 29, 2013) and they say that's when the honeymoon phase is over but I'm not sure it's true in our case! Arya and Bran have been such a blessing and although we know their good and bad habits by now, they have added so much love and laughter to our home that we love everything about them. And we must say they are the most well behaved kittens we've ever seen. They are so gentle, even when playing rough! Thank you all in the rescue center for making this happen for us and for your constant support! You are an amazing team! And amazing individuals!

ARYA
I have settled in easily but just don't like being confined. Want to meet the other kitties but will have to wait a bit longer. I talk to them and tell them I want out to run around and have fun. I am very outgoing and like lots of attention.

Arya is amazing... My husband and I have never seen a more loving and affectionate cat as her. She comes to us with her gorgeous face and looking straight at us with her charming greenish blue eyes and gives us hugs and kisses. Real kisses and hugs, it's unbelievably cute!! We love every moment with her..

OLIVER
I need you, you need me! What more is there to discuss? I am a long lanky boy who didn't get enough attention the first time around, and I'm used to being pushed away and shoved off. What I'd really like is to climb in your lap and know that you want me! I manage with other cats but not too many of them please; I am easily overwhelmed and lost in the shuffle, and my preference is by far people - could I be cuddled, loved, paid attention to please? I would adore that!

Notes from Home
Oliver was given a warm welcome from his new family. We've decided to keep his fitting name. Although nervous, he bravely explored his new environment and met his new furry friends. He quickly made my room his comfort zone and home, spending most of his first week and a half sleeping and eating and getting to know his new Mommy. Oliver is now venturing outside of his room. He explores the home in the evenings and hangs out with his new feline friend every morning as they wait for their breakfast. Siamese cats are definitely unique. It's hard to ever live without one once you've opened your heart to one. I'll never forget my sweet Siamese boy Samson who came into mine and my family's hearts 5 years ago. He was an old man but he was spoiled rotten the last few years of his life in his new home and became an unforgettable companion to me. After losing him earlier this year, I knew I would eventually have to find a new Siamese boy to fill the empty void. Oliver has done just that. Although different in many ways, he will be just as loved, if not already. He's quickly opening up and I can't wait to see more of his wonderful personality and character in years to come.

Notes from Home
12.18.2009 Finally, I am living the life worthy of a Siamese Diva. Although I've only been here a week now, I know I fallen into the lap of luxury. Currently I am ensconced in the master bedroom suite. I have everything I desire including a window seat where I can watch the horses in their paddocks and a full length mirror where I can watch myself. Watching myself in the mirror is my new favorite pastime because I really am beautiful, aren't I!?! I also have lots of toys to play with, regular room and housekeeping services, and my own bed, although I much prefer sharing the big one with Mom and Dad. They are really great, by the way. They attend to my every need and will sit for hours playing with me or just enjoying my company. Being a proper diva, I started out being somewhat aloof towards them, but I couldn't keep that up for very long. They treat me too well and love me too much to not do and feel the same in return.
The only thing that has happened to me since I've been here that I didn't like was a trip to the vet for a check-up. Thankfully it was a fairly quick affair and, except for noting a slight case of gingivitis, Dr. McGrath gave me a clean bill of health. She said I was one of the nicest rescue kitties she's ever seen. She was also very complimentary of the Siamese Cat Rescue Center and said that she wouldn't have any qualms recommending it to her clients. I thought that was pretty neat because I will always hold the SCRC in a special place in my heart. They did, after all, take me from rags to riches. It truly is a wonderful life.
12.26.2009 Merry Christmas everyone! I know I'm a day late, but I was way too busy yesterday to sit and write an update. I had presents to unwrap, new toys to play with, dinner to help cook, and, of course, naps to take. The weather was too nasty for Mom and Dad to work the horses, so they spent the day inside with me. We lost electricity just before noon, but it really didn't matter. The three of us spent the lovely day on the coach in front of the fire with a good book and a glass of fine wine.
In addition to celebrating our Savior's birth, this week I was given free rein of the entire house. I know this was way ahead of schedule, but I really hated being cooped up by myself. Don't get me wrong. The master bedroom suite is quite palatial, but I wanted to be with Mom and Dad more during the day. So, last Saturday, they started introducing me to my four-legged siblings and the rest of the house. At first, I would head back to the bedroom if something concerned me, but now nothing much concerns me except maybe when the dogs get too loud and boisterous.
I absolutely love it here. Mom and Dad are always on hand to make sure I have everything I need. I have tons of room to play and lots of warm and cozy places to sleep. Plus, I have a new boyfriend. His name is Roscoe and he is an absolute dreamboat. I wasn't really nice to him when we first met, though. I hissed and ran away, mainly because he looked so big and imposing. Now that I've gotten to know him, he's really wonderful. He's there when I need him, but will let me have my space when I want to be alone. He's the perfect companion for a diva like me. Ah yes, life is good!
01.01.2010 Happy New Year Everyone! And it is a happy new year in my neck of the woods. I have a forever home with a loving Mom and Dad, a new boyfriend who worships the ground I walk on, regular meals, a warm bed, and even the dogs now acknowledge I am the queen who must be obeyed. If this isn't Siamese diva heaven, I don't know what is. I think 2010 is going to be my best year ever.
I have a confession to make, though. The other day Mom left really early in the morning to go visit her sister. Dad wasn't awake yet, so before she left, she made sure Roscoe and I had our breakfast. Well, when Dad finally got up, I told him Mom had forgotten to feed us. Not only did he feed us again, he feed us twice our normal ration. When Mom got home, she noticed the empty cans in the trash and asked Dad where the food had gone. Boy was he miffed when he discovered I had fibbed to him. I know I shouldn't have, but I just love to eat so much. It's my third favorite thing to do after looking at myself in the mirror and sleeping in the bed with Mom and Dad. Oh well, I guess I won't be able to pull that trick again.
01.14.2010 Marlee's social calendar has been so packed full of play engagements and dinners with her boyfriend, Roscoe, that she's been unable to find the time to post an update. So, I figured I would post one for her. This is Diane, Marlee's two-legged mom here to say that Marlee is doing very well. She's healthy and pretty much at home now. She's about come to terms with the smelly canines with whom she's forced to share her palace although her residual displays of disdain may all be a facade as I caught her in the living room playing with Sully a few days ago.
She still doesn't talk much, but has a wonderful purr which she invokes at the drop of a hat these days. Right now she is curled up in her bed across the room from me, but I can hear her purring from here. I think she's happy with her life with us. If not, she's doing a pretty darn good imitation of a meezer whom has just received the keys to the kingdom. :-)
I can't thank the SCRC enough for bringing Marlee into our lives. We love her dearly.
12.06.10 Hey Everybody. It's Marlee here. Yes, I'm sure you thought I was long lost, but I've just been having too much fun to stop and write a note. I can't believe that, in six days, it will be a year since I was adopted by the best mom and dad in the whole wide world. They love me unconditionally, no matter what. I have everything a diva could ask for. And, I've even accepted the smelly canines that hang around here as my brother and sister fur-siblings. Life is definitely good. I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas. I know I will. Thank you SCRC for giving me everything I've ever wanted and more.
11.25.11 Just a quick note to wish everyone Happy Thanksgiving! It's been almost two years since SCRC found me the most purrr-fect home in the world. I love, love, love it here. I still reign supreme as the queen diva and my mom and dad worship the ground I walk on. Yes, life is good!
12.29.13 My how the time flies. I am still as happy as a clam where nobody's digging for it here at my forever home. As proof, I asked mom to take a picture of me and Roscoe together in one of our favorite chairs. She told me we looked like one cat with two heads, but that's okay. Sometimes I just can't get close enough to my boyfriend. Thanks again to all of the hard working members of the Siamese Rescue. You guys are the best!

Mandi has been with us almost 2 weeks now. She is a sweetheart. She is a talker and makes her wishes known. She is eatting well. We have started the intergration process. She'll have her Vet visit next week. We are so happy to have her in our family.
We have now had Mandi one month. She is getting along great and sleeps with us every night. She is a little princess and still growls at the other cats but doesn't seem bothered by them. She is getting more comfortable everyday. She's had her Vet visit and all is good. She isn't afraid of strangers either. We are so tickled to have her and love on her. She is HOME!!!!!!!!
8/6/12
We have had Mandi 3 months today. She continues to do great! She ventered downstairs yesterday on her own for the first time. She is very very vocal, very very siamese. She loves to be petted and does flips for us when she gets her loving. She is a picky eater but we have found the right combo for her. We just love this little girl. She is very special. She ignors the other cats except the seal snowshoe Diva Maggie May Va 7478 and she is very vocal at her!
11/6/12
Wow its hard to believe we have had Mandi 6 months already. She has us very well trained. She is still just such a sweet girl. She is very vocal and very siamese but what not to like. Thank you Siamese rescue for saving this little girl and allowing us to have her in our life. She is fully intergated with the other cats and doesn't seem to mind them either. She sleeps under the covers with us every night. The bed is her throne.
3/4/13 Mandi has been with us almost 10 months. She is such a wonderful wonderful cat. She has FINALLY figured out how to come down the stairs by herself. She is such a vocal little girl. Its neat. We just love her sooooo soooooo much. She has to be with a person all the time. Thank you SCRC and her wonderful foster Mom Heida for saving such a
wonderful geezer. I can't imagine our lives without her. Geezers really do rock!
5/6/13
Wow 1 year with this wonderful geezer girl. She has wrapped her little paws around our hearts. She is just suc wonderful little girl. Getting ready to schedule her Vet visit.Hopefully we will have many many more years with her.
12/26/13
Sadly we had to put our sweet geezer girl to sleep. She will be missed. A year and a half is not long enough. We would however do it all over again.

Little Miss Leia is settling right in at home. She has completed her inspection of the facilities and seems very happy with the toys, cat trees and her new humans. A few days yet until she meets the resident feline ladies face to face, but we have no concerns. I am sure she'll win them over just like she has us! She is so funny and adorable! Loves to play "toe tiger" with feet under the bedcovers. We're really looking forward to her final integration with the rest of the kitties. Thanks again for letting us adopt such an awesome little girl!
Dec 2013: Leia is doing great! She has long since won over all the other kitties and is such a sweet, friendly, playful girl. She loves to snuggle both on the couch and in bed. She is an absolute champion at playing fetch and brings toys over to play with. She is awesome!

Notes from Home
12-26-13: Koko has adjusted to his new home very readily. Right away he showed a great affinity for laps and remains very interested in anybody in a seated position. He has become more vocal in the last week or so, which I am interpreting as a sign that he is getting even more comfortable with me. He self-regulates his food well and uses his litter box appropriately, so he is quite easy to care for. Oh, and I have chosen to rename him Nix, which is the Latin for for snow, inspired by his snowshoe points.

12/31/11
Issy is doing great. Smart as a whip, a love snuggle, and as handsome as anyone could wish. Believe me he is absolutely regal. He is growing into his feet and is now 9lbs., 29" long (with tall), and his front legs are a foot long. You got, it he is going to be a BIG cat. Char-Li and Issy are the best of good pals, Char-Li being wiser and Issy being smarter.
We are going through the terrible 2's where everything has to be sniffed, touched, and investigated. Mom cat is always alert when she hears nothing that's the time to call them. It's a good thing I speak cat.
The best of new years,
Lee H. and cat family
What behavior problems? If a kitten/cat (young adult) could be perfect it's Issy and he is a good fellow! He talks, plays with his best bud CharLi, is a lovey, incredibly handsome, healthy, bright and responsive, totally Siamese joy.
My elder cats are NOT going to accept the youngers, so be it. I have a multi storied house and they have their own floors which works out fine.
I still check out the adoption page and cheer every time the cats find their forever homes, keep up the good work.
Lee, Kimmi, Zanny, CharLi, Issy, and Nikki Dean

Dear Kathi and other friends at Siamese Rescue,
Its' good to hear from you.Two year have flown by and I weigh in at 13 lbs. and 30" long when I stretch out. My mom has been taking really good care of me and my best friend Char-Li. The elder cats still don't like us but that's OK, we have our own room with warm safe beds and tons of toys, and the whole house when they are in their room. Our best place is our mom's lap, she gives the best scratches and rubs EVER.
Everyone at our house wishes you and everyone at S.R. the best of the holiday season.
Issy Good Fellow, Char-Li, Kimme, Zanny, Gin-Gi, Nicky, and Cat mom Lee
12/25/13
I'm writing for Issy as he's busy with Christmas morning breakfast. Issy has had a good year with 2 health bumps. He developed a mild UT infection which we have to medicate and keep a close watch on and had to have 4 teeth pulled. His vet said the breed is genetically predisposed to gum problems even if their teeth are brushed. His best bud CharLi had nary a problem at cleaning.
He and CharLi are the best companions a person could ask for. CharLi is the rascal and can get Issy into all kinds of cattery high (racing, wrestling, climbing in door trees, and any thing else a cat can get into) jinks. Issy tries to make it all better with leg rubs and 13 lbs. of blue eyed, purring lap cat.
Wishing you and yours the best of the new year,
Lee and cat friends,
Zanny, Kimmee, Nicky, GinGi, CharLi, and Issy

FIONA
Just arrived, but foster mom says I can introduce myself. I am a tiny little thing, but make up for my little size by being one of the sweetest kitties every. Just a beautiful little girl waiting for another home. When my previous family lost their home, so did I. I love being in a family. Will you be my next family?
Purrs and headbutts, Henrietta
P.S. If you are looking for a male and a female, Henry and I could make a fabulous pair. We even look alike, but we didn't come from the same place.

Notes from Home
Fiona made herself at home very quickly. Six months later, she is still a ball of energy, whizzing around the house most of the day. She still LOVES her foam soccer balls, and loves to play fetch. Her latest "thing" is a kitty tunnel. She loves to hide in it and jump out at any person or feline that may walk by. She's hilarious and makes us laugh every day.
