SIMEON
Just arrived. More information soon.
Notes from Home
Simeon K. Allen is doing just great. He is such a cutie and fits perfectly within the dynamics of our family. He is loving adventurous and keeps us laughing. His new thing is pouncing on our legs and trying to run up the bottom of our pants...lol!

We just took Simeon for an initial grooming as his claws were getting so long and I was apprehensive about trimming them myself. The groomer at Petsmart fell in love with Simeon and wanted to take him home with her!! My 9 years son Sebasteon loves him and is so attentive to his needs, he even changes the litter box without being asked to. Simeon also follows him around the house everywhere. Sitting outside the door like a watch dog... it's amazingly funny to watch.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's been a very rough week with our beloved SImeon. His first vet appointment was GREAT. Dr Mosaad diagnosis was that Simeon was in the best of health. Up to date on all vaccinations, etc. However, by the end of the week things changed. My son accidentally sat on Simeon l causing him to limp so we took him back to the vet who thankfully said it was just a slight knee strain.

By the weekend we we concerned about a a patch of dried up skin on his right paw. So back to the vet we went only to find out poor Simeon has Ringworm!!! But how he has not been anywhere other to the vet and to grooming at PetSmart?! No one in the home has it so we were perplexed as to how it came about. PetSmart denied any responsibility, stating that there is a 2 week incubation period from initial contact. So I am asking anyone of you guys who were involved in his meezer transport to check your pets as he may have contracted it at that time. Anyway Simeon is now on antibiotics and cream for it. The toughest part is we have to keep Simeon quarantined and we miss being able to pet and play with him. He is so sad in his pet play pen. Last night he used his head to break outta "jail" forcing the zipper on the roof open and squeezing through...so funny... lol! I ended up having to pin the zipper shut and twist tie the door opening zippers. He is sooo smart and sneaky. Pray he gets better soon.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well is has been 6 months now since we have had the wonder cat Simeon "Kringle" Allen. What an interesting and exiting 6 months that has been. He is curious, smart, funny and above all very loving. He has his special connection with each member of our family and gravitates to each of us accordingly. My son is there for horse play, grandma for tv and nap time and I appear to be his personal groomer, tummy/neck/ear stroker and late night chill buddy. He has a specific time schedule for each of us and walks away when it is time. It is hilarious.

As an early birthday gift we just purchased an almost 6 ft Molly & Friends cat tree so he could stop jumping on top of everything. He loves his new "perch" it allows him to hide in and under the openings, sleep up high or down low and have unlimited access to the window. He is also quite active and loves to lick us, I mean like a dog. When we come home he runs to greet us, sniffs, rubs and licks us, and follows us everywhere. Simeon hates to be left alone and has to be in the middle of the action. He likes to lick, bite and run, as he anticipates a chance whenever he does that. He has learned to open the bathroom door and I have observed him trying to flush the toilet...lol! He gets into the refridgerator, dishwasher, the cupboards, the laundry bag, you name it he funds a way to push himself inside!

My main concern right now is Simeon's stinky stool. I mean it smells awful! I realise that the Science Diet dry kitten food contains corn which he appears to have slight allergies to. So if anyone has a suggestion for another premium dry kitten food brand that would be greatly appreciated. Well that's it for now. Simeon is our baby and we all love him so...I think he is my son as a cat... but that ludicrous right?

Notes from Home
7/15/12 - Lovey has made herself right at home. She was affectionate and interactive with us as soon as she was released from her crate. There were no signs of trauma from her transport -- she immediately used her litter box and ate her food.

She's very interested in Jacob who talks to her from the other side of the door to her room. She's a really beautiful kitty with unusual markings and very silky long hair. What a gem!

BAILEY
Sweet, playful, social, friendly little guy seeking a home with ANOTHER active, young cat or kitten to keep me company. I'm settling in and foster mom will get some new pix over the weekend, so stay tuned. I should be ready to go home by late June but would love to talk with you today!

MUFFIN
My name is Muffin and I am as sweet as a Blueberry. So does that make me a blueberry muffin? I love to run and play but I also like to cuddle right up with you. I'm a cute little blue point snowshoe but my ears are swirled with colors like a tortie. So maybe that makes me a chocolate frosted blueberry muffin? What ever you want to call me is ok with me as long as you call me yours.

ZOEY PURRSALOT
Lap-sitter and bed snuggler extraordinaire seeking permanent position. If you've got a lap that needs filled, need a warm body to snuggle with in bed and enjoy intelligent conversation, I'm your gal ! Foster Meowm says they just don't any better than what I am !

Notes from Home
I can't believe Ms. Zoey has been with me a whole month. She is so sweet. I just love her to pieces. When I pet her she responds with vigorous purring and kneading. She is very beautiful and dignified. That is why I refer to her as Ms. Zoey. I don't want her to think I'm too fresh. She has handled the "other cats" problem by declaring them all non-existant. So far, this technique is working well.
My vet was very impressed with the vet report you sent with her. He said you did everything he would have done if he had done the initial veteranary work himself. Thank you for your kindness and thoroughness.
5-17-12: Zoey has settled right in. She hasn't made friends with any of the other cats, just ignores everyone. She sleeps with me under the covers and purrs and is a great comfort as I fall asleep. She's everything I could wish for. She's just PERFECT.
Zoey passed away on 6-20-12 from large mass in her intestine. I'm heartbroken.

CHLOE
Velcro kitty? What's that? That's what fostermom calls me. Maybe it is the way I climb all over her and lie on her and just want her attention. I am petite and quite gorgeous! I am attached to my companion, Katsu VA5700. We have been together for a long time and he needs me. Fostermom assures us we don't have to worry about being separated. We have had enough going on in our short lives to worry about that too! If you are ready for two exquisite cats, ask about us.

CRYSTAL
What are you, totally nuts? Get with the program. Check out my video, after having moved to the Center, taken 2 hours after arrival. Can you spell Easy Going? You're right, that's a tough one to spell - you need a degree in loving Meezer Females! Get your finger clicking, because it does not get better than this!

We absoutely adore Crystal. She brings a different meaning to appreciation.
Crystal ahs adapted very well. Seh continues to steal Buxton's food but is healthy as can be. We had atooth removed last fall but her spring doctor vist was perfect. She maintians her 'healthy' weight but has not gained any more, so that is good. She is energetic and loving. She actually waits for me as I shower and dress in the moring. I like to think she waits for me but in actuallity she knows I feed her breakfast and dinner so I'm the go-to-guy. It's all good. Crystal sit with me on the couch, is by my side in my offce and at the foot of my bed every night. She purred very loudly the other morning as I scratche dher head; a first for her! That is how I know she is content with us.
What else can I say except she is loved to pieces and makes our house a home.
Tom&Deb

Crystal has adapted very well. She is part of our life as if she were born in this house. She and Buxton get along very well. They play every night chasing each other through every part of the house utilizing all three floors. She gained a tremendous amount of weight [about 2 pounds] last winter when our pet sitter filled her bowl with food for the long holiday weekend in January. Our pet sitter was accustomed to Buxton’s petit style of eating and I did not make it clear that Crystal needs to have her food portioned for her. She tends to eat Buxton’s leftover’s so we keep an eye her now. She’s lost some of that weight but it’s tough to get her down to her svelte pre-kittens size.

We absolutely adore her! That tongue is hilarious and we have gotten many comments regarding it on her Catbook page on FaceBook. She is so cute and snuggly. She thrives on attention and gets mad at me when I don’t spend time with her every day. She does hold grudges after being reprimanded, just like a spoiled child. As seem by the attached pictures, she has made herself @ home. She sleeps almost every night @ the foot of our bed in a bed and waits every morning for us to finish in the bathroom to join us down stairs in the kitchen for breakfast.

She does know her name and is beginning to respond to my other nicknames, ‘Baby Kins’ or ‘Monkey Face’. She greets me @ the door every night when I come home from work. I truly adore her and can’t imagine her not being part of my life. Deb and I are thrilled with her. I wanted to adopt another kitty b/c you have so many needing home but Debs says no. L

Just wanted you to know that we love her, she has a great home, and I honestly think she is very content. She wants for nothing…except more attention and more food!

Take Care.

Tom & Debs

JOEY
Just arrived and not a lot is known about me. I do seem to depend on my companion/sibling Kokoro. We both love people but are a little shy right now. We've had a lot going on in a short time and we have a lot on our minds. We would like to go home together.
Notes from Home
July 12, 2012: Today is our 4th anniversary with Joey. He is such a LOVE. He loves to cuddle up with us on the couch or with his sister in their favorite chair. He's happy and we adore him! I am SO grateful to Siamese Cat Rescue for putting us together!
