SAM
Don't be alarmed - I am not FrankenCat - I'm just plain ol' Sam. I had a condition with my left eyelid rolling inward, but a little nip & tuck has got me all fixed and soon my left eye will just as beautiful and blue as my other one. I'm a great guy if I don't mind saying so myself -- I am cuddly and loving, curious and fun, and all I need is a little love. I don't have a mean bone in my body and I like other cats too! I'm less than a year old, so I'm going to be a big boy - but there's nothing wrong with that - just a little more to love! I'll be ready to go home in a couple weeks, so please ask about me!

Notes from Home
Sam has adjusted well to his forever home. He has taken over the place, he is loving, fun, playful and a wonderful explorer. We are happy that Sam has taken us as his family. He and one of the resident cats still are working things out but nothing major has occurred. Thank you for taking such a great care of Sam.

Yes it has been a month but it feels as if Sam has been a family member for long time. He is doing really well and has made himself at home; I am sure he knows this is his forever home. The other cats have accepted him and I think they understand he is a kitten and so are patient.

Sam has been with our family for two years. He is loving, fun, silly, cute, adorable, beautiful, talkative, snores when sleeps, rolls over (yes like a dog) when he wakes up and hears us talk to him; his favorite and safe room is our master bedroom and so is our bed; he likes to sleep between my husband and I and falls to sleep as we both pet him; he loves to hide under the blankets and when I call his name seeking for him (hide and seek) he purrs louder and louder. All these description to say we love him. Thank you for giving him a chance.

MIA
I had a home once but my owner got pregnant and was advised to get rid of me, so I was dumped at the shelter! I'm a healthy, loving little lady, so I don't understand that. I wouldn't harm anyone................

Well, thankfully, the kitty saviour angel at the shelter said "I know just who to call to get you out of here", and she called Meowmy from Siamese Rescue, I was whisked out of there in a few days and here I am, safe and sound, but I know this is just temporary. Meowmy said she'd find me the perfect forever home as soon as I tell her something about myself.

What's there to tell?!!! I love to be petted, I use my litter box like a lady, eat my food, and keep myself clean. I haven't decided if I like the other cats here yet, but once I know, I'll tell meowmy so she can tell you.

So if I sound like the purrrrson you've been looking for all your life, ask about me and maybe we could talk about it.

Mia

Notes from Home
After Mia was allowed out of isolation she was a little bit scared to socialize. She mostly found little places to hide but she is now a lot more social and will come out and sit with us and is not afraid to meet new people (just a little leery).
She mostly avoids the older cat and at times will growl a little but it's not phasing the older cat. I think they are tolerating each other pretty well and will eventually just learn to get along.
She did well for her first vet visit, but did not want to get put in the carrier. Can't say I blame her. She has a sneeze but the vet says her lungs are clear. It may be the litter we use or something else. Hope we can figure that out.

12/22/09
Mia is now very well acclimated to us. Our older cat wants nothing to do with her and will hiss but nothing else. Mia just wants to play and doesn't understand.
Mia loves to look out from the front window sill to see what's happening and enjoys her new hom

Mia has been doing very well. Her new playmate Elvis has been running her around for the last 3 years, and sometimes it gets a little rough, but she will always come back for more fun. Since she's been here, we haven't had any health issues and she always get a good report from the vet.
She likes to snuggle in the mornings, byt only for a little bit.

ELVIS
Have you heard that there has been a sighting of Elvis --- yikes - that is ME. i need someone to Love Me Tender. I've got on my Blue Suede Shoes and am ready to Rock and Roll. It has taken me a short time to get over losing my family, but I am doing great now.
I am a wild and very playful young guy.so need a very playful buddy to run and chase with me.

Notes from Home
Hello Everybody,

Elvis had his visit to the vet yesterday and everything checked out great. The vet was impressed with all the info faxed in previously. He also said that Elvis was in prime condition.

Now on to how he and Mia are getting along: This guy is a load!! He was pretty docile while he was in isolation and seemed to be adjusting quite well. We had a screen separating he and Mia so they could interact without being in contact and they seemed pretty curious about each other. Once out of isolation things changed rapidly. He is quickly becoming the dominant cat. While he and Mia will play cat and mouse, he sometimes is a little too rough with her, but she always comes back to play some more. Hopefully they'll tone it down a little.

When he isn't playing with Mia he will come to Martha and I for a little lap time. He also likes to sleep with Martha for a little while. His appetite is good and he likes to be around us most of the time or just go off to his bed for some quiet time. All in all we think we got a darn good cat, he's just a little rough around the edges.

Tom & Martha

P.S. If you find the keys to turn off his motor, let us know.

7/26/2011

It's been 6 months now and Elvis, has settled in quite nicely. He and Mia love laying out on the porch sleeping all day and they are getting along pretty well, although Elvis does get a little rough with her at times.
Haven't had any health issues with Elvis, but he seems to eat his wet food pretty quick sometimes and then will throw it back up. He still maintains a good weight. He also loves getting brushed, once or twice a day.
He's been a real joy to have.

1/19/14

We've been Elvis's guests for 3 years now. Since he got here he has taken over and become a really great cat. He loves playing with his friend Mia, but still gets too rough for her. Loves to be brushed and have his head scratched. A funny thing he does is to come running to talk to me after I sneeze. .

He has an impeccable alarm clock and will sit on the arm of Marthas chair at 5 PM waiting for his dinner, not to mention the 4 AM walks on our backs.

He has had very good visits withe vet and hasn't had any health issues. We're very happy he owns us.

MAX
Hey there! I'm one sweet guy. They don't come any better than me!

I've had a bit of a rough time lately. I'm not telling what happened before last week when I was found in a regular old cardboard box outside the local animal shelter. I was a good boy and stayed inside there waiting for someone nice to come along even though it was no place for a cat to be.

I got to spend part of my time at the shelter in the office hanging out with the nice people there. Everyone I met loved me and I much preferred the human spaces to the cages where I got a cold and started feeling miserable.

I'm already feeling better and I've gained some weight! The vet said I am a healthy guy and agreed that I am as sweet as they get.

Get your catnip toys ready and a nice warm lap and I'm yours!

Max (Maurice) received a clean bill of health from his vet visit; he has gained another pound so his interest in food has not wavered...He is curious about everything high up and seeks new ways to get to the highest place in the room!! He now has a little sister and they play and he cant understand why he has to play gentle....He's such a boy!!! Max has discovered my lap and loves to hug and nuzzle. I truly was lucky with this adoption!

Just arrived after being trapped from a feral colony, but already i'm starting to relax and enjoy being clean and being fed such tasty food. Meowmy said to give me a few day to settle and she'll take some nice pictures of me so you can see how stunning I really am.

Notes from Home
01/16/2014 Its been 6 mos since we adopted JJ. He is doing so well!! He fits in perfectly in our home and has made friends with my other Siamese who is a DIVA with a capital D. He has had no medical issues whatsoever. He is a happy and healthy young man. He is so so big compared to my petite little DIVA, Chevy. He weighs much more than she does, and we call him our "Big Ogre" Even though, he anything but an Ogre. He really is a loverboy. He loves his cuddle time with my husband and I. He is not a lap cat, however. Unless he wants to be cuddled. Those cuddle moments only last for a short amount of time during the day, but that's okay. He runs around the house, and his pitter patter is much heavier sounding on our wood floors than the petite DIVA. He is one big Loverboy. Very happy with this guy.

JJ has made his way into my heart and my husbands heart. He is such a little joy to have him in our family now. My husband loves his little tiny, "Meow", which JJ says to him every morning as they meet up in the kitchen while hubby gets coffee. He seems to be very comfortable in his new home. He is playing with my 3 yr old female pretty well. She is still a wee bit unsure of him, but she does interact and play. They play hide n seek with the play tubes we have in the living room.

Last week Koko threw up and became very calm and quiet. He got up on the bed and he was shaking slightly. I immediately called my vet and I brought him over to them. Turns out, Koko had a temperature of 106.8. They tell me that a cats temp should be 101. My vet diagnosed him with a virius. He had been sneezing more than what I thought was normal, for a few days prior. They gave him fluids and gave me an antiobiotic to give him for 7 days. We are on day 6 of the antibiotic and he is back to normal. Playing hard, and eating hard. He cuddles up with me at night as we both fall asleep. He is doing great and I couldn't be happier! Thank you Siamese Rescue!

08/15/2013 JJ (Koko) has been a part of our family for a month now, and he has fit right in to our family. He has a routine each night before I go to bed. He follows me into the bedroom, jumps up on my bed, and waits for me to begin the "hid the hand under the covers and he chases the hand". He loves this game. Then after about 5 mins of play before bed, its lights out and he comes and cuddles right under my arm and will sleep right next to all night. He does have some very gassy farts though!! He stinks us out sometimes. PU! He is doing wonderfully and my older Siamese enjoys him, as well. They get along with no problems at all.

Notes from Home
01/16/2014 - Mochi integrated into our household perfectly. He is such a little unique ball of sunshine that always puts a smile on our faces no matter what we're going through. He has SUCH a personality too. If you put a box or bag on the floor, it becomes his. Our other cats may try to get in on the action but then he just "buries" them in the fabric, paper, or cardboard. He talks to you when he's bored, and all he wants to do is be friends. Even with the little crazy energetic puppy we recently adopted.

PUFFADIDDY PUFF (FUN SIZE)
Yes, I've got a gansta rap name, but you can call me Puff.

I like to 'beat' my little sister Genevere up. I'm a rough and tumble rapscallion.

ALL play and eat right now. I like to be petted but I'm kinda busy with discovering stuff.

I'm only just over 1 lb, but that's 3 ozs more than sister, so she's out of my weight class. Sometimes mama just grabs her and gives me a toy instead, which is great, because I LOVE these toys here.

So ask about me and my sister Genevere if you are South of Virginia and ready after the Holidays. Because we need to pack on some Holiday pounds before we can go home forever!

Puff had his first Vet visit 01/09/14 and we are so pleased he received a "well kitten" report. The vet said he was a healthy, loving kitten that was going to be a big boy! We couldn't be happier!!!

At Puff's Vet visit he got his 3rd distemper vaccine, rabies vaccine, fecal check and a physical exam. The vet said he would let me know if anything shows up in the fecal. He was calm during the visit.

GENEVERE
My new mama wants to know how so much spirit comes in a 1 lb package.
I am fearless and come right up to her, although she looks like a giant to me. I climb up her back and settle on her shoulder.

I am calm and serene for a tiny kitten. But I'll use my big voice when I have to. That is when you come in my room, or I think you have food!

I'm happy playing and cuddling and eating and a little wrestling with Puff is o.k. with me.

If you are south of Virginia and willing to wait a couple months, how does after the Holidays sound?

ROUSAY
I am feeling much better, so foster mom says I can start interviewing new homes !
My owner got sick and couldn't take care of me, so I found myself in the shelter- it was pretty scary and then I got sick. Rescue came and brought me to a foster home, and promised there would be someone out there looking for a sweet boy like me. Will you celebrate the New Year with me tucked in next to you ?

Notes from Home
01/13/13 Rousay went in for his vet check this morning. Poor dear was so frightened by my trying to catch him and hold him long enough to get him into the carrier. I almost made it a couple of times but he escaped and went behind furniture and the box I had put out for him, etc. However, I finally caught him and he checked out wonderfully at Dr. Felix' office. Everything looks wonderful and the best we could tell, he now weighs 9.0 pounds (he kept trying to jump down when we let go to check the scale). When I brought him home I let Stenness sniff at the front of the carrier and there was no hissing so I'm hopeful that when I do let Rousay out, there won't be any confrontations. I let him out in his room and he immediately scooted into the little house under the cat tree; I replaced the crocheted blanket over the opening so he was truly hidden. I straightened up the room and left him for the rest of the day. When I went in to take him his supper just now he had cleaned out the rest of the breakfast bowl and did let me stroke him while he attacked the new bowl. Then I sat in my chair to read a bit and he scooted back into his little house. After awhile I tried dragging the wand toys in front of him and he eagerly grabbed at them but didn't come anywhere near all the way out. I was pleased that he was coming out to eat and that he played a bit and even let me stretch to put a finger into the house to rub his head and cheek, so he recovered from the trauma of the vet visit as well as I had dared to hope.
