Sam and Max are doing well. They like doing everything together. Including playing, sleeping, fighting, cleaning each other and even on occasion, using the same litter box at the same time.
They are our little helpers; no matter what we do they are there with us. They love to be held and cuddled and they both purr like crazy.
We feel very lucky to have adopted such wonderful little kittens.
2-14-2014 Today, we received the April issue of Cat Fancy magazine. A few weeks earlier, I had submitted pictures of Sam and Max for the magazines annual cutest kitten contest. When I did not hear anything from the magazine I just assumed that Sam and Max did not get selected. Imagine my surprise when I went to the section with the cutest kittens winners section and saw Sams picture there. Sam got an honorable mention in the contest. Check out his picture on page 29 of the April issue of Cat Fancy magazine. This picture was taken shortly after we brought him home.

Hi everybody! I'm Lucille, and boy oh boy and I'm happy to be HERE! I came from a pretty bad place and I know 'good luck' when I see it! I'm so wide-eyed about food, love, and a soft place to sleep that I hardly know what to do with myself!!! For now I just follow fostermom around and tell her all about it. | Lucille was a nursing mom. It's going to take a week or so for her milk to dry up. Then we'll get her spayed and she can think about going home in mid to late July. A super affectionate girl. We'll see how she plays with others in another week or so. |

Hi I'm Mia (formerly known as Lucille). I am doing great! I live with my forever family in NJ. I am healthy and happy and having lots of fun. I have a bedroom and bathroom to myself since my human 4 year old sister refuses to sleep in her big girl bed. It's all mine! I love to snuggle in my bed with all my blankets and pillows. It's heavenly!
I must endure the silly nicknames that my human family makes me answer to though. Mia is my new name but these silly humans call me Mia Mia Sophia, Mia Mia Quesadilla, Meezy Wheezy Lemon Squeezie and about a half a dozen other equally embarassing names. I try to be a good sport and just put up with it. It seems to make them happy.
I have a special sleeping spot I like during the day when my human mom and sister are at work and school. It looks out into my wooded backyard with lots of birds, squirrels and sometimes even deer. I know when my humans arrive home so I am usually waiting to greet them at the door when they arrive.
I love playing with my sister but I must confess, she wears me out sometimes. But I am always nice and I never get mad at her. I will just hide under the bed for a little break.
One of my favorite things to do in my new house is to lay in wait for my humans to take their first steps down the stairs, then I attack those feet! Those silly humans fall for it every time.
I really do love my family and I know they love me lots, too! It's only been 6 months but I feel like I've always been here. And my humans tell me all the time how they can't imagine life without me.

We were found together on the road and it was my job to take care of him, as I'm the more confident, outgoing one - so I just told everyone what to do and they listened! Hi
Well my brother Beau got to the computer before me. He's right though, we are adjusting well. Our new parents are really nice and let us do almost anything. (they do have a little issue with my clawing....but we'll figure that out together).
I'm definitely exploring more than Beau, but I feel that he's taken care of, so I don't need to be so overly protective. I just wish he'd stop being so pushy at meal time. Meowmy is helping me with that also.
I really love my Pawpy - he's so nice. I love to cuddle up with him while Beau is sitting with Meowmy or his new BFF. I like my new house and my new queen size bed.
Luckily I haven't had any medical issues - Beau has a little bit of a cold, but I'm good to go. I'm a little nervous, but Meowmy is constantly reassuring me and I'm conquering this huge playground a little at a time.
I'm in some of the pictures, but I don't sit still long enough to get them taken. Meowmy says I need to work on that if I want to be a Covergirl.
My favorite time for loving is at 3:00AM. I love to wake up Meowmy and Pawpy with headbutts, wet nose kisses, and biscuits. We play and love for a little bit and then I go back to sleep. I'm just checking that they haven't gone anywhere. Beau usually sleeps straight through the commotion. Fine with me....more attention just for me!!!
I want to say thank you too to all who took care of me and placed me with my new family. You were all wonderful.
Meowmy will post more updates on Beau and I as we grow along.

I just wanted to say Hi to Siri and gang...
Sis and I have adjusted nicely in this new house. There's another bigger kitty, but he seems pretty nice. He's already let me sleep with him on his blanket. Nice old guy. Sis is still trying to settle in - I think she's so excited and wants to check everything out.
My Meowmy and Pawpy are realy nice people. Cali and I allow them to sleep with us on our new queen size kitty bed. Meowmy was a little concerned about my nervous stomach, but after I settled in, my "issues" went away. Unfortunately, when we lost power for a couple of days, it was cold in the house and I caught the sniffles. But the nice Doctor Meowmy took to has given me some medicine to clear up my stuffy nose and sneezing. I should be good in no time.
I've had Meowmy upload some pictures so you can see how Cali and I are settling in to our new digs. I like getting my picture taken so I hope Meowmy and Pawpy (you'll see him in one or our pictures) keep at it until we can get a good picture to include in the calendar....
I'll keep you all posted on our progress. Thanks to all who helped match Cali and me with our new Meowmy and Pawpy. You're all so great through the process.

Millie is our greeter. She loves to be in the middle of everything and head butts everyone who comes into the house (bean and fur face). Poor Scott can not eat his dinner without her head butting his elbow. She is as sweet as she is pretty.

Notes from Home
It has been 4 years since we adopted our sweet boy. We bought our own home a couple of years ago and Niko loves it. It is an older tri-level house that looks like a giant cat tree, so he has a great time running up and down stairs and zipping through the house. We continue to adore our lil fella as his personality and confidence continue to grow!
