SNOW
Just like my namesake, I love to have a good time, be silly, a bit crazy, and a bit headstrong. I'm young and healthy, energetic and fun, and very comfortable in my own skin. If you want kitten like but just one, then ask about me and I'll share my secrets!

FIJI
Pretty aren't I? I'm a real sweetie although I'm a little on the shy side right now. I'm going to have an elegant longer coat when I grow up. I'll be just like a little princess. I don't look like a rambunctious, rowdy kitten do I? Looks can be deceiving! Just give me some toys and turn me loose!
Purrs from the rowdy girl,

Notes from Home
We kept the name Fiji. She is our little Princess. Very playful and very attached with my wife Diane, however she is coming around with me also. She love to cuddle with big purrs. She eats very well and she is growing very fast. She comes to us in the evening or when we call her and loves to sit in Diane's chest. Very well mannered little cat ...well not so little anymore ... Thank you all for this perfect match.

August 29, 2013: We love Fiji. Very attached to my wife. She follows her all over the places. Big purrs with wife. Very reserved with me since I take her to the Vet for nail cuts ....she does not like that. She is growing fast, already a very pretty lady. She is an indoor cat, however we have boyfriends coming all the time to visit her thru the glass doors .... we are very attached to her. Good companion.

November 11, 2016: Sometimes we wonder if we have adopted a dog instead of a cat .... She follows my wife every where, when is time to go to bed, she makes enough fuss that my wife must give her full attention ....very bossy at times ..... She is our Princes. Very nice and friendly cat. A bit shy with people. When I try to leave the room, she sprint toward me, and then stops a foot away ... like saying I am going to get you buddy ...We are very happy with this little furry lovable creature.

TUCKER
Just arrived. More information soon. Gentle souled purring and making biscuits is my first impression. And the second impression... and the third....
Notes from Home
Tucker is doing great. He is still a little leary of humans but he and Lexie are getting along well., He does come to me and lets me pet him but I am not allowed to pick him up just yet. He will jump on me for brief periods but doesn't stay long. I am sure he will be fine with time. He spends every morning with Lexie stalking the birds outside the bedroom window. I will attach some pictures. He had a vet visit on Friday. He was very vocal for the ride. He behaved for Dr. Grant and she just loved him.

I am so happy with this entire experience. I have to say I was leary about adopting a cat sight unseen. But this process is so amazing. I have always adopted my Siamese cats from breeders. I will recommend this to anyone looking to adop
Dec. 9 2011 We made major progress this week., Tucker is out of his hiding spots most of the time. Him and Lexie are getting along great. They are starting to play and run around. Tucker discovered the basket of cat toys today. He loves chasing the ball around the living room. He is doing great!!!

March 22, 2011 As you can see, I have taken over in my new home. Doing well. My Mom really loves me because I am so much better behaved then my new friend Lexie. She is always in trouble for something. We do have fun running around the house together.

May 19, 2012 Tucker is such a joy!! As he is becoming comfortable more of his personality comes out everyday. He has become quite vocal and is not afraid to ask for what he wants. Especially at 3am when he desides it is time for some scratching of his chin. I don't mind at all. He spends his days playing with Lexie as they hide there many toys throughout the house. Now that the weather is warm his favorite spot is in front of an open window. He is quite the bird watcher. It took quite a while but I have finally convinced him that letting me brush him is a great idea. He has alot of hair and was having magor hairball issues. Now that we have a routine brushing every night he is doing better.

I am having one issue that is disturbing and I am hoping for some advise. It is not with Tucker but with my siamese lynx Lexie. She has started to urinate on my laundry, my bed or most recently my couch. Ugh! I have banded her from the bedrooms when I am not in them, I don't know what to do. She loves Tucker and has since the day he arrived. I had her checked out by my vet to make sure there are no medical issues and she is fine. I don't know what the issue is. Any ideas will be most welcome,

I will add some new pictures of Tucker. I just love this guy!!! Thank you so much. You made a great match.

Nov. 19, 2012

I can't believe it has been a year since Tucker arrived. As you will see by the new pictures he is doing great. We had some adjustments but are doing fine. I just needed to be trained. We found a food that he has no more stumach problems with. I now know he does not like scented cat litter and he does have to have his very own box. He is becoming much more social. When he first arrived he was afraid of everyone, including me. Now he greets guests at the door and welcomes them. He loves his buddy Lexie. They are together all the time. Tucker thinks that 4 am is a really good time for some attention. he has become very vocal and we have long conversations everyday. He will be going for his annual check up soon. I don't expect any issues. I love my Tucker and I am so glad he is here.

Nov. 19, 2013

Tucker is doing very well in his forever home. Him and Lexie are always together. Sounds like a herd of elephants upstairs for the morning workout. He is healthy and even though he still wont let me pick him up, he has become much more trusting. He is more vocal then ever. Talks to everyone that comes through the door. I will upload new pictures. He is very good looking boy.

Nov. 19 2014

I cant believe it has been 3 years. Tucker has come along way from the gentleman cat that spent most of his first few months under a bed. Him and Lexie are best of friends and love to play. (usually at 3 am) Tucker is healthy and looking good, It was the right decision to bring him to our home.

Nov 19, 2015

I am Happy to say all is well with Tucker. He had a good annual check up. Him and Lexi are going strong keeping me on my toes. As you will see in the updated pictures he is very content in HIS home.

November 21, 2016

Tucker is doing great! Very healthy and Happy. Loves his Lexi (wish they wouldn't wait till 3 am to play) He is a very good and handsome gentleman. I will update pictures as well.

Tried to update pictures but keeps saying error.

HARRY
Neutered, declawed and outside! What is that all about. I still can't figure it out myself, but I sure am glad to be back inside where life comes with room service and snuggles. I Love laps and I like to be held on my back. Dogs are okay. I am not bothered by other cats. I am just an all around great guy. I will be your bed buddy and your shadow. I am very polite a true southern gentleman. Ah! Life is so good again.. I would be Purrrfect if you would just pick me.

Notes from Home
Harry continues to emerge as himself as each day passes. I can't imagine my life without him as he is such a presence in my home. He and Henry, my dog, touched noses the other day and that was a milestone. He is eating well. So well that I now have to be careful how much I give him as he is a big boy. I have two bedrooms upstairs and my bedroom is downstairs. If he is not with me when I turn out the light, I call him, and then I hear this great thump from upstairs as he jumps off of the bed and then thump, thump down the stairs. it is quite funny to hear. I can't thank you enough for bringing the two of us together.

Six months have passed since I adopted Harry and I can see why you say to give a cat six months to adapt. Harry was quick to make himself at home but then he decided to cool it for about a month or more. Then slowly he started to be with me more and more. He is now a great companion and has bonded with me. I think he missed his former owner very much and really mourned for that person. I still mourn my cat who died in September, so I know how he feels. He has tried to play with Henry my dog, but Henry is getting old and doesn't want to play. He is not a lap cat and only occasionally will get in my lap. He is so big, about fifteen pounds, that he has a hard time getting comfortable on my small lap. Once again, thank you to all that helped bring Harry into my life.

Harry has been with me a year now and we have become very comfortable with each other. He sleeps with me every night and often feels the need to give me loves several times during that time. I wish he could tell me what happened to him as it was traumatic. It took him such a long time to feel completely secure with me as his person. All of a sudden he has become a lap cat which makes me very happy. As he is such a large cat and I am rather a small person, it takes some maneuvering for him to get settled. I think often of the fosters who took care of him. I enjoyed our conversations and emails back and forth.

Harry has been with me two years now and he has become very dear to me. At the moment he is sitting next to me and, as the sun is shining on him, he is feeling very content. He has become my constant companion which I love. His health remains good. The only problem we have had is with an impacted and infected anal gland. Fortunately, I caught it before it became too bad. He did not like having it treated but was much more comfortable afterwards. Thank you again for my boy.

BABY
Listen up folks! I'm a pretty resilient gal but I'm ready for my forever and ever home. I don't know why I should have such a rough life. I'm a super nice cat that just wants to be your friend.

I've had some pretty confusing times being shuffled around from home to home but here I am now. I'm waiting and waiting for you.
Notes from Home
Hi everyone! Problems with my email have prevented me from writing sooner.
Alice (VA9574) is now known as Baby. She does everything her big brother Sonny does. And she loves going upstairs to visit her big sister Kimba with him - the exercise is great for her. The doctor said she is "a doll - very lovable". We're watching her weight - no loss yet, but no gain either.
We knew she had a special thing for socks, she still carries them around if no one is watching. But we were really surprised when we heard her yelling at them!!! What a voice!
She also loves her cardboard scratching pad. There's pieces of cardboard all over the place. If you can't find her, just follow the cardboard.
Baby never fails to bring a smile to our faces - she's even won over Sonny.

11/20/2016:
HI everyone! Well, I've been at my 'forever' home 3 years now. I'm so comfortable here, I love it! Especially since I've gotten my mom and her sister 'trained' to understand what my different looks and sounds mean. Oh, I still carry around my socks and make my special sounds. But now I just stare at mom and she knows that I'd like to eat.
I have a new little brother. He's 2 yrs old. I love it when he comes and kisses me. He also likes to help me when I'm washing, but he knows it's time to leave me alone when I give him my 'stop it' look.
It is so nice here that I spend a lot of my time just lounging around. I'm sending you a picture of how I lounge. I'm also adding a picture of how I relax by watching the birds. One more thing - I want to say Thank you to all of the nice people at the
"Rescue" for helping me find my forever home. I will love you all forever.

CHEWIE
Foster Mom is always calling me her little Peanut. She says it's because I'm cute and i'm tiny and I was shy but I'm coming out of my "shell". I love love love to play, and when I'm done I crawl into your lap and take a nap. Then I eat, play and nap some more. Foster Mom says that's what kittens do. I'm sweet, and lots of fun. Ask about me and Foster Mom will tell you more.

ARNIE
I'm learning to know my new foster home. This regular chow thing is pretty great! I'm a little beat up from my life on the streets, but I don't mind. I have a bit of a limp, but I don't let that slow me down. The doc took a big picture to see the inside of my leg, and she says that it looks like I hurt my knee a while ago and now it has "arnie-thritis." That's what foster mom is calling it anyway. I'm shedding like crazy, my eyelid is healing up from an injury, and I have a ragged tip on my ear. And you know what? Foster mom says I'm so adorable. She says my coat will get better and that my job is to just rest up, eat up, and be happy. I think I can do that!

Notes from Home
November 19, 2016 - I cannot believe six months has gone by. Arnie is doing great. We love him.
He is a chunky monkey and he gained 5 pounds, now he weighs in at 15 pounds. I stopped the free feeding and now he gets food two times a day. it is hard to feed Bella separately and make sure she gets enough food, she has lost weight. So any advice on how to do a new food routine would be greatly appreciated. I feed dry food 1/4 cup two times a day and a teaspoon of wet food 2X a day. Arnie recently had very dirty ears, so we brought him to the Vet and he had a yeast infection in his ears. We are treating with ear drops two times a day, and he seems back to normal.

June 14, 2016 - Arnie is adjusting to life as an indoor cat with a Siamese sister, Bella. Bella seems to like her new brother, they get along but sometimes cat fight, which she did with her brother Coco, who passed, so I am not too concerned about that. Arnie loves to play, sleep, love and eat. He is always underfoot, I wonder how he got food as a stray cat, he seems to think it is always about him when I go in the kitchen. I am learning to groom him, but only have had success with one paw to cut his nails so far, am going to try again this weekend, with the help of my husband. He is a good boy, but can be a little growly and over exuberant in his loving ways (like biting my head awake in the morning....which he did twice). When he goes to the top of my pillow I move now, so he does not do it. He uses his scratching pads very well. We have three litter boxes, and when I clean them out, he is right there trying to figure out what I am doing. We love Arnie and all cat indications show he loves us too!

Do you have a quiet home and an empty lap? If so, I just might be the cat for you! Other cats are fine but only nice girls, please. Boys are a little scary. Or I'd be just as happy to be your one and only. I am all ready to go home so what are you waiting for?
Notes from Home
HELLO EVERYONE,
A BIG, HEARTFELT THANKS TO ALL OF YOU WONDERFUL PEOPLE WHO RESCUE THESE DEAR CATS. THANKS TO ALL WHO MADE IT POSSIBLE FOR SHILOH TO COME HOME TO US. WE SO APPRECIATE EVERYTHING YOU HAVE DONE.

THIS IS THE END OF WEEK TWO AND SHILOH IS A WONDERFUL, LOVING BIG BOY. HE SITS ON OUR LAPS, PURRS WHILE PETTED. HE IS NOW FREE ON THE TWO STORIES OF THE HOUSE/STILL EXCLUDED FROM THE BASEMENT. IT TOOK SOME TIME FOR HIM TO VENTURE OUT OF HIS SAFE ROOM. I LET HIM GUIDE ME ON WHEN TO BROADEN HIS AREA. HE HAS EXPLORED MANY NEW PLACES AND SEEMS HAPPY. HE IS STILL SKITTISH WITH SUDDEN MOVEMENTS AND NEW NOISES BUT HIS CONFIDENCE GROWS DAY BY DAY.

HE HAD HIS FIRST WELL VISIT TO HIS VET TODAY AND ALL IS GOOD. THEY ADMIRED HIS HANDSOMNESS AND LOVED HIM UP. I WENT IN WITH MY NOTES ON ALL OF SRC PROTOCOLS FOR VACCINATIONS AS PER HANDOUT AND MY VET AGREED WITH ALL EXCEPT DID NOT DO INTRANASAL VACCINATIONS.

I'VE BEEN RESEARCHING AND READING ABOUT FOOD AND LITTER FROM THE VIEWPOINT OF SAFETY FOR THIS PRECIOUS GUY. WE WANT TO DO THE VERY BEST FOR THIS MEEZER.

I WILL TRY TO UPLOAD SOME PHOTOS FOR YOU BUT I MUST SAY THAT SHILOH'S (aka/YANNI)
MOM HAD MUCH BETTER PHOTOS OF HIM THAN ME.

I HAVE HAD MANY EMAILS WITH HIS FOSTER, TOUCHING BASE & INQUIRING ABOUT VARIOUS THINGS WITH HIM. I AM SO THANKFUL FOR THIS DEAR FOSTER MOM, KATHY.

I DROVE TO A SHELTER IN NH TO BRING SOME HANDOUTS THAT I HAD FROM SRO AND TOLD THEM HOW WONDERFUL YOUR ORGANIZATION WAS. ALSO STRONGLY ENCOURAGED MY VET TO GET IN TOUCH WITH YOU IF THEY HAVE ANY SIAMESE CATS COME IN. THIS VET PRACTICE PARTICIPATES WITH TWO SMALL LOCAL RESCUE GROUPS. THEY PROVIDE THE SHOTS AND SPAYING/NEUTIRING AT NO CHARGE. EVEN TODAY THEY WOULD NOT CHARGE FOR MY VISIT BECAUSE SHILOH WAS A RESCUE CAT. AWESOME, I KNEW I LOVED THESE VETS.

SHILOH SENDS BIG PURRS AND HEADBUTTS TO ALL OF THE PEOPLE WHO CARED FOR HIM. THANKS TO THE WONDERFUL VOLUNTEER TRANSPORTERS ALSO. YOU ARE THE BEST.
MERRI & STEVE

Hello Everyone and Merry Christmas! 12/17/13

Shiloh has been here for a month now. He is a wonderful, loving cat. He has now bonded pretty much with me. He still has trust issues and is frightened by new people or quick movements. It is pretty much what I would expect but he trusts me more day by day. He is healthy, eating well and has perfect litter box habits.

He is a joy and will be a really nice Christmas present this year.

Merri Keenan

Six Month Anniversary

Hi Everyone. I will tell you at the six month report that we are delighted with Shiloh. He is just a very sweet cat. We have had some adjustment issues, but we have solved them.
He is a delight and we are so glad we adopted him.

It now seems like he has been here forever! Love this cat so much! He is a real snuggle cat. He often hops on my lap if I am on the computer, always when I sit down to read. He loves to purr and nibble at my fingers. He also loves to sleep on our bed at night.

Happy to report his Feline Leukemia done in April was negative. He had a small growth (cutaneous horn) on his neck which was removed under anesthesia. At the same time he had a dental done. I am now attempting to train him so I will be able to brush his teeth. It is a month long training to get him used to it. We shall see.

Thanks so much for our wonderful cat!
Merri Keenan

Hello Friends,
Happy Birthday to Shiloh as you start your 3rd year with us! Shiloh is healthy, doing so well and loved so much. He has made a new friend in our grand dog Austin who visits most days. It took some time and care in separating them but now Shiloh likes him. About a year ago I turned our dining room into Shiloh’ room by covering the table & buffet as he likes to sit on them. Then we added a bird feeder right outside the window and he can watch the birds up close. He is entranced with listening to them sing during the warm weather. Throw in a scratching post and cat bed and you get a happy cat! I still can’t get any videos of him. Would love to post him going crazy chasing ping pong balls, but every time I turn the record button on and it beeps he freezes. Thanks again to everyone who made it possible for us to receive this delightful boy.
