Now you see me, now you dont, now you see me again! Due to know fault of my own the folks who were going to adopt me had to back out of the adoption. So this must be your lucky day, because I am available again! I am a very friendly, loving, playful, and beautiful seal girl. I think I would like a home with a handsome boyfriend who likes to play. If youve got a nice boy for me, hurry, hurry and ask about me!

This cat is not suitable for children under the age of 5 (ie 5 and over is OK). This is typically a cat that is shy and a child might scare it, or one that has a potential to bite or play too hardNot with kids under 5

Notes from Home
Mia (formerly Bekira) is doing great! The vet and I recalculated her age (as she grew to a strong and healthy 11 lbs. about 6 months after I got her) so we think she will actually be 10 this summer. She is not a dainty cat, that's for sure!

She is very loving, playful, funny, sweet, and very smart, of course! At my sister's suggestion (an avid dog owner and trainer and excellent cat-sitter), I trained Mia to sit and lift her right paw (and the right one ONLY) before getting her food. I did this using the Clicker and their training book for cats. It took us a while (several months?), but she literally will do it every time and only occasionally needs the verbal prompts.

The folks at the Siamese Cat Rescue Center were right on target about her temperament - she is very outgoing and friendly, but can also be one her own for periods at a time. She is a great joy in my life!

I was born blue and I will always be a blue, but I don't want to be blue no more! I would love to find a home with another kitty or two, so please ask Jen about me and let's see if I am a good fit for your home. I love other kitties, and I even headbutt them when I walk by. I will bring my toys...............

Kendall started exhibiting balance problems. The MRI showed some swelling in his cerebellum (not indicative of tumor/cyst) but the spinal tap came back normal (so it wasn't caused by an infection/virus/fungus/etc). He was diagnosed with a degenerative leukodystrophy, and it progressed enough that he wouldn't eat even with anti-nausea/vertigo and appetite stimulants, so he was put to sleep yesterday. His brain is being sent to Penn State for further research/study.

A one year old who will need a special diet, I'm sweet, gorgeous and smart as they come. So what if I have to eat a special food? That doesn't stop me. I am gorgeous, perfect weight, perfect shape, and outgoing, easygoing and happy go lucky. I'm okay with other cats (males please) and very sweet with people - I'm the one you might trip over if you come to visit as I'll be flopping over at your feet!

i am feeling much better ! Foster mom says I am the most wonderful kitty ever, and such a gentleman! I love snuggles and laps, like to chat a bit, but most of all I just want to cuddle with you.
Will you bring me home for Christmas ?

Notes from Home
Chester has been with us for over three months now and he is everything we had hoped for - trusting, playful, and loving (he has a paw resting on me as I write). He follows us around the house and gives long inquisitive looks as if to ensure everything is okay. We couldn't be happier with our new pet!

Our resident 15 year old female cat, Sadie, wasn't thrilled to see him at first, but has come a long way thanks to Chester's easy going demeanor and patience. They now eat together and Sadie even lets him sleep on the same bed. Hopefully their relationship continues to grow. I know he'd like for that to happen.

Thanks again to the volunteers at the Center that helped us find the perfect cat for our family.

Notes from Home
Theo is doing well as far as adjusting to his new home. He is a very sweet and affectionate old boy. He loves to get scritches and tummy rubs. He is one of those rare cats that when he rolls over he really wants me to pet his tummy and its not a trick to attack my hand! It only took him a few days to realize I was going to be his new human. He comes to me as soon as I enter his room and greets me with a meow. He is still in his isolation room because of his sinus issues which my vet and I are working on to figure out. He fortunately still has a good appetite and enjoys his din-dins!
He really is an awesome cat!

Just got here, and already an absolute incredible lovebug. I come from 9 years of adoration with my Meowm who then had to go into nursing care; I went to the daughter but her son had an allergic reaction to me, then went to Rescue #1 and now here at Siamese Rescue. Still not phased, I've been here 3 hours, had a bath, got the spa treatment, and purred through all of it. Have eaten and litterboxed, no issues there. Declawed in front so no scratching issues there. Got all my medical history I bring with me and there's nothing big to mention other than I have funny ears and need some attention to make sure they don't get too dirty or itchy - but it's minor, and I'm told this is the Spring 2011 fashion anyway. I get along fine with other cats and paws down just adore people. I can carry on a Meezer conversation if you'd like about whatever you're interested in. If you're looking for a teddy bear Meezer to love, I'm it!

Notes from Home
There are almost 5 months I moved to Maryland. I have to admit I was a little upset initially. My trick is to "hum" to keep me together. For few days i was humming a lot but i quickly realized that at home, it was only me and my new mom.
I am not quite a cuddling cat, I like to keep my distance but I follow my mom everywhere. I like to know everything - i am "a little" curious! My mom is stubborn though and persisted, hugging me all the time for few minutes. I have to say, it is not so bad after all as long as it does not last forever!
After 2 months, I finally broke the ice and moved to her side on the sofa. After 3 months, I started to see the advantages of a warm duvet at night. Now, I occasionally sleep on her lap.
I have become super cheeky - I poke her when she is not paying attention to me, bring her my toys to throw and i am great at playing hide and seek. My favorite time is evening time - I am so full of energy; I run, jump, roll and roll.
My mom is making fun at me: i cannot meow - I try my best but I squeak only! I could - of course - but I prefer keeping my voice intense for my major moments: despair, when she is working on her computer for too long!
I am the most picky cat on Earth for food. Chicken was my thing, but I realized that tilapia was much better... My mom buys me treats and makes my table like a Chinese buffet but when I don't like it, I show it well: I pretend to burry it!
Overall, I might be genetically 50% siamese, but I am 100% princess.

Big ol' hunk of fluffy lovin' coming your way! I'm a gentle, calm, friendly soul who likes lap sitting, headbuttin' and purrin' like a fool! If you're a cool cat too, let's talk today! I've lived with other cats before (Phoenix is my brother), and foster mom thinks my temperament would be great with kids. I'm just that kind of guy, so you better dial my number quickly before I'm snatched up! Check back this weekend for my glamour shots!
Purrs & Headbutts,

Notes from Home
After being with us for almost 2 years now, Artimus is an integral part of our family. He's marvelous with our 4 year old son - he even tolerates the full body hugs that sometimes come his way. The two of them share toys, both preferring to play with the other's toy instead of their own. Right now we are going through a move and Artimus was amazing on the airplane. He's already settled into our new digs and is ruling the roost.

3/28/14 - I just can't believe that Artemis has been with us for only 4 years. He's such a part of our family now. We moved from Maryland to Colorado and Artemis took the move so well, that I wonder if he was more ready for it than we were! He loves sitting in the windows of our new house and gazing out at the rabbits who live in our neighborhood.

Now does my little face not say....I'm sweet, I'm lovable, I'm social & I do/do not get into trouble? The trouble part you will just have to see for yourself! Naw...really I'm just a sweetheart with beautiful baby blue eyes just waiting to melt my footprint into your heart.

I have a sweet brother too named Peeta...we are a pair...so if you are looking for two...ask about us!

You won't be sorry if you are lucky enough to have us march right into your home & hearts!

Notes from Home
12/25/12 Hi everybody, here I am, Katniss, with my brother Peeta (Panda). If you thought we were cute before, you should see us now! After less than a month, we settled into life with our new mom and dad right away, and just cant thank Debi (foster Mom) and Kathi (our placement coordinator) for getting us off on the right start. We're non-stop play, snuggles, purring and 100% LOVE.

wishing everyone a happy new year,
well here are your little kittens nearly all grown up.
they're given us so much joy!
just last week, right before my eyes, they both started to change color, from creamy beige to the silvery gray you now see on Katniss. it happened within a few days, amazing.
panda is my LOVE, wow, he's handsome, incredible proportions, nice big head, affectionate, smart with a wonderful temperment. I am very attached to him, funny because I wasn't sure he liked me when we first met at Debi's. what a lover. he seems a little smarter than his sister but who knows....

katniss is more of a wild child. she's more needy and clingy, and likes to stomp on my head in the mornings when she wants breakfast. her agility, tracking instincts and speed surpasses her brother's. when they play with their toys, she's fierce, always the first to win, always first to finish her food, etc. now that Ive read the book her name really suits her. she also always wants to be on top or in front.
they play and race around all the time, panda can even play fetch and bring back his ball, then they wrestle very hard and fall asleep in each other's arms. jeff has so many pictures of them sleeping! several times a day, we call each other and say, 'you have to come look at the cats." they'll be in some adorable position. they're a great pair.
healthy appetites both of them, we have them on high quality food. I introduced them to cooked vegetables which Amby ate her whole life, and other grains/protein. they are healthy and strong. they're both great with the litter box.
kathi I broke down and bought them a furminator when the shedding got out of control, and they both love to be combed. they both actually anjoy being handled in general, a big change from our aloof Amby and I have to say much more fun.
thanks to you both for getting them off to a great start. will send more updates soon.
we have them out in california now, but are headed back to DC in May.

dear fans,
well we just passed our 1 year birthday, marked by a car trip right past Culpeper VA where we were born and came to Siamese Rescue. panda and I are doing great. I'm living up to the name Kathi M. (our adoption counselor) gave me - a little bit of a wild child and pretty fearless. panda on the other hand is mellow and cuddly like a bear, the best big brother a gal could hope for. mom and dad just DROVE us cross country, so we got to see all the states between Northern California and Washington DC. we're just a walking, talking, cuddling, meowing, drooling (panda) advertisement for Siamese rescue. thank you so much to our foster Debi, to Kathi and Siri for taking such good care of us, and getting us on our way.
love, katniss VA8837

hi fans!
oh the joys of technology!
my brother panda and I yesterday had a video chat with our BROTHER and SISTER Koko and Moka and their Mom and Dad, Jeanne and Skip! We are SO MUCH ALIKE, unbelievable!!!

I am very much like my sister Koko, and Panda and Moka are practically identical, same deep blue eyes. mom and Jeanne couldn't get over it. We have all developed into just beautiful, affectionate cats -- if I do say so myself!! with classic, playful, lovable Shoeshoe personalities.

we've kept in touch with our siblings and all feel very blessed. Mom and Aunt Jeanne say they hit the jackpot with us kittens!!! and we are ALL so grateful to the gang at Siamese rescue - Siri, Kathi and our foster mom Debi who got us off to a great start.

love, katniss

Notes from Home
We have been blessed by Kit-kit for 6 months now. She settled in nicely with our 3 other cats. She is so loving. We can't imagine life without her. She sleeps right on top of me at night....nice and cozy!

Thank you all for the work you do. You save meezer's lives and bless the lives of the adopters.
We cannot believe Kit-kit has only been with us 5 years now. It seems as if she has been part of our lives for ever. She is a real ambassador who gets along with other cats and has a knack of helping new arrivals to settle in. Thank you for this precious gift of love in our lives. We would adopt another older cat in a heartbeat.
