My name is Archie & I'm nothing like the Archie my foster mom has described from the Archie that was on TV WAY long time ago. I'm just a little love bug & I love to get beside my foster mom while Abby is on her lap! While I'm enjoying being beside her, I lay on my back & make air biscuits. I'm so happy when I can enjoy time with Abby & my foster mom, but I'd be even happier if I can find my forever family to share my life with. Mmmm.....it's kinda hard to tell about myself other than I'm a youngin, love laps, love windows, love my brother Archie, love food (not picky), just love life. Notes from Home
Grant is the best kitty! We got home from his Meezer Express ride around 8pm Sunday night, and let him out of the carrier. He immediately was loving on us, playing with our kids and his toys, and exploring the house. He is as described- completely bombproof, not fazed by anything, even the vaccuum cleaner! He loves to play with they many toys that were sent with him (thanks Kay!), sleeps with us at night, and follows us all around the house to be part of the family. Never pushy, just interested in everything we do and checking out his new home. We love him already, and can't believe how fast he has incorporated himself into our family. The photo attached was taken Monday morning the 29th, you can see how relaxed he was already. As Kay said, he knew he was HOME. Thank you so much to everyone who brought him to us, we are so grateful. We are working on a new name, the family has yet to come to a consensus, but we have it narrowed down to a few contenders!

Huckleberry (that is his new name for now, although there are still a couple others we like so will keep you posted!) is doing great. I attached a new photo of him over the weekend in our closet- he loves to play in there as he can hide his mouse behind the clothes and then pounce on it, over and over again. He seems to have filled out a bit from all the food and exercise- he has a great appetite and for now we are letting him eat as he wants, as he is not too piggy and seems only to eat what he needs. He is such a great cat. VERY playful- if he is awake, he is mostly playing, which is great because our kids love to throw his toys for him and wave the feather wands for him to chase. He is also lovey- always coming to greet us at the door when we come home, up for pets in the morning, and always in the same room as the family. He is adjusting so well, and we are loving having him in our lives. :)

Huckleberry has completely taken over our hearts and home at this point. Attached a new photo of him in his favorite daytime sleeping spot- on the windowseat in my husband's office. He is so interactive with the kids- no matter how loud they are playing he is there watching, and sometimes playing as well as he loves to chase the balls that my 2 year old son loves to throw! He knows our routines, and his routines now, so waits by his food dish or hurries us along to the food dish with some meezer meows at breakfast and dinner times; waits by the door when he hears us come in after work and school; and is ready for quiet time on the couch with my husband and me when the kids go to bed. We love him, love him, love him!

Huckleberry continues to be an amazing cat- and you can see him next year in your SCRC calendar as Mr. July! He is playful, amazing with our young kids, and such a love- we are so happy to have him. He recently welcomed a new playmate from SCRC, Blueberry (FKA Simone), and after an integration period with some expected hissing and territorial behaviour, Huckleberry and Blueberry are well on their way to being great friends. They eat from the same bowls, use the same box, play with toys together, sleep next to each other (not touching yet!) and chase each other around the house. I think he is happy for the feline company, and we feel truly lucky to have such wonderful cats as part of our family. A photo of the two of them resting near each other has been added. Thank you to everyone who helped us with aquiring and introducing these wonderful kitties!

Can't believe it has been a year since Huckleberry has been with us. Seems like yesterday that we picked him up, but then again, he is such a member of the family now of course it has been longer. He has turned into such a lap cat, he loves to be frisky with his sister Blueberry, they play all the time and chase each other around the house, but as soon as someone sits down he is there to cuddle and make biscuits. He is a wonderful, beautiful cat, we are so lucky to be his family.

Update: 4/2/09 - Yes, I'm all well now and feeling OH, so much better. I had a bit of a rough go of it, but now I'm fit as a fiddle and ready to go to my forever home. Foster Mom says I was an angel while I was sick and deserve nothing but the very best. I am sweet, sweet, sweet and a tiny little bit of a thing, but I am gaining some weight. I love to be cuddled and kissed and if you look at my gallery pictures, you'll see that I like to "talk", too. I've lived with other cats, dogs and kids, so I'm pretty much a "go anywhere" girl. Hi - I'm the other new flame in Hotel del Shue nka as House of Flames. I was at the shelter longer than the others and unfortunately, I got the dreaded shelter cold. I don't feel well right now, but Mama Katie promises to have me all better soon. I'm a very good girl, very loving and sweet, even though I don't feel good. Auntie Deirdre came today to help Mama Katie get some pictures and I LOVED sitting on her lap and purred to her. I am a pretty girl, too, but I do need to gain some weight before I go to my forever home. Think sweet, pretty, loving, and a little fur enhanced and you'll want me!! Hi Everyone,
Wanted to give you a 5 yr status on Nala! She is our beautiful, sweet Flame point and is loved beyond belief! Even though she is 8 years old now she is still as soft as a little bunny and loves to nuzzle up in the crook of your neck. We have integrated our family a couple of years ago and she now has a brother cat and they get along great! Nala follows me where ever I go around the house. She is my little buddy in the morning sitting on the bathroom sink when I get ready for work and she sits by the door waiting when she knows it's time for me to get home. She is the love of my life and I am so grateful that she is a part of our lives.

Well Linus (AKA Digit) is doing great loves his evil little brother even though I think he drives him a little nuts, but he will go looking for him if he is out of sight too long
Linus got his second vac in the feline lec I think it was it was one the Vet said was not in him paperwork so he got it and is all done for the year and he has gain a pound but he gets his workout in everyday with his 5am runs though the house with his brother, but Vet said he is a very healthy cat who doesn't mind anything but the car trip there. He loves watching TV I think it is the HD that gets him and the cat pointer toy is always his fave he will go in circles with that which is just too funny to me. Now that is has gotten a bit cold and is snowing these days they watch it from the window, but they are heat hogs sitting near the blower on cold days or linus will try to crawl under the covers with me but I move too much so he will get under his (use to be mine) now throw
They both don't get yet that it is not time for them to eat every time I go into the kitchen

Linus has now been with me six month that seem so short a time he and his little evil brother loki are doing well and always a joy to me, they do their run though the house about 3 times a day linus always wants to run more than loki, and always tries to get him to play chase.
linus like his dry food more than the wet and will let his brother eat most of his it I don't pick loki up so linus will get more of his share, loki can be greedy.. they both love their freeze dried turkey treat and are the only cats I know ever to like them as they are just meat and healthy
Linus has a fascination with watching the ceiling fan and meowing at from time to time which I think is funny it like he is trying to figure out which way it is turning.... they both love the window and there is a fair amount of wild life as rabbits, raccoons, squirels and groundhogs as well as birds all tend to walk by so I doubt they get bored much as they are always in the window when not running and planing with toys. Linus loves the windows more and will fall asleep in the cat perch there each has their own blanket and sleep at the end of my now bigger bed we needed more room, as linus is a big guy now maybe a little more than 10 pounds he is a long lean cat and my family calls him the pretty boy due to his coloring, he just loves my mother and always demands she pet him when she visits
They are my babies and I adore them even when they wake me up at 4am wrestling on top of me

Bixby is about to turn 4 years old along with his sister, Bastet. He couldn't be happier in his home. He loves his family, and loves to play with Bastet. They are always together and are very protective of each other. He loves to sit at the kitchen table while his family is having breakfast or dinner, and loves to sun himself in the window. He has also learned a new skill, which is opening doors and playing fetch.

So Connor is doing so great and I really could of not picked a better addition to our family. HE now roams the whole house with Aubrey and they are like best buds!!!! Already I know can't believe it!!! But Yea him and her follow each other around and play games with each other like hide and go seek. They are so funny and appear to be so happy. Just have a hard time getting a picture of them both they won't. Stop playing. Also took Connor to the vet and he is just fine... Plan on posting some pictures as soon as I can
