Notes from Home
Alice (Candy's new name) has been with me for just over a year and her new brother Emmett joined us shortly after that. Alice is a sweet, lovable and sometimes a little impatient, meezer. She just LOVES to play! Her favorite game is fetch, with her little pink mouse that her Foster Meowmy sent home with her. When I'm not throwing the mouse, she's bringing it to me to throw. She also enjoys playing with strings and other fun things. When I'm not playing with her, she enticing Emmett into a game of tag -- they sometimes sound like a heard of elephants rather than two meezers. Once in a blue moon she does take time to nap too but not before getting some snuggles in.

Alice is certainly the quintessential siamese cat -- playful, talkative and loving.

Update: July, 2014. Just a few weeks past Miss Alice's 6th birthday she crossed the Rainbow Bridge and received her golden tail. She was playful, talkative and loving up until the last week of her life. After several months of tests and several different treatments, she succumbed to intestinal cancer. She was a trooper and the radiologist who finally discovered the tumor was surprised at how well she was doing. She was a quintessential meezer to the end. Thanks Siamese Cat Rescue for giving Emmett and I six wonderful years with her!

NAPOLEON
Happy go lucky boy delighted to be indoors instead of dumped outside where I wasn't wanted. Ready to make your acquaintance!

Notes from Home
Napoleon's been with us for a month now, and he is doing really well! We love having him as a new member of our family, and from the very first day he has shown us that he's a well adjusted cat who is comfortable in our care. He's wonderful in all his habits, aside from an insistence on digging the dirt out of our potted plants (large stones on top of the soil should help to curb that). I do wish he was a bit more cuddly -- the end of the few seconds during which he'll acquiesce to some cuddling/head rubbing is signaled by a quick warning bite to the loving hand. But even that is improving, and sometimes now his warning is just an open mouth, which we quickly heed. At just over a year old, he's very young and energetic, and probably his sweet calm purring lap-sitting moments will increase as he ages and becomes even more comfortable with us. He has boundless energy! We really think he would play until his body just gave out -- he's a focused and agile stalker/jumper/racer. He captures his "prey" in his mouth and swaggers with head and tail held high, dragging the toy (stick, string and all), down the hall or stairs into a box or inside his play tunnel. Hilarious!

Our dear N is such a joy. He's a very "young" 18 months; very curious and into everything. He's totally wedded to the daily routine, and eagerly anticipates thrice-daily dedicated playtimes. He's a nut with his toy called a "Cat Catcher" -- clearly that is the best thing on Earth from his perspective! We're happy to report that he, as we had hoped, has also become a bit more cuddly now that he's been with us 4 months. As the photo shows, he occasionally is a blanket-hogging lap sitter! Makes us very happy. :-)

Tragic news to report - Napoleon has passed away. We are completely devastated that this beautiful bundle of energy and joy is gone after only eight months as part of our family. While we were on a week's vacation in early May, our cat sitter (who is a vet tech) called to say Napoleon had chewed a toy and might have swallowed several inches of elastic string. All of us were highly alarmed, but as three weeks passed with no change whatsoever in his behavior, we dared to hope all would be well. But on the evening of June 1st he went into severe distress and after exam/tests at the emergency night-time vet, we made the decision to end poor little Napoleon's suffering. I'm trying to see the bigger picture, that SCRC rescued him from trying to survive on his own, and for eight long months of his too-short life we gave him a very loving and caring home. But even after several weeks have passed, I'm still completely heartbroken that he is gone. I know that all of you understand, and cared for him and us, and we wanted you to know.

INDIE
Vocal, demanding, in your face, petite, sweet and opinionated, I'm just the cat's meow for someone who wants a very in your face, very chatty, very involved cat. I'd probably do best as the only cat only because I sequester all the attention if at all possible, but if you want to bring in a laid back elderly gentleman to keep me company, as long as he dotes on my every need, we'll do fine.

ROULETTE
Hi, I'm Roulette!

Spin that wheel and see if you win me!

I'm cute as they come and full of sass and spunk! Momma was a tortie and I'm
a Blue dilute tortie. I have one back paw that is tortie colored and it has pink pads! Foster mom says that makes me very, very special! I'm just a little shyer than my brothers, but it doesn't take much to convince me to snuggle. I am now seeking out pets and snuggles from Foster mom - that is when I'm not too busy playing with all the toys or my brothers.

I must go home to a playful boy kitty that needs a playmate, Chances are good I will want to rule the roost so my new playmate must be willing to bow to my wishes.

I'll be ready to go the end of June.

Notes from Home
Dear Monique, Siri, and all Rescuers,
Meowmy said I should write to tell you how it goes in my forever Home. Meowmy and Daddy thought my name fit me so we deceided to keep it. I was an escape artist when I arrived at home, so I stayed in lockup for two days and then I staged my escape. I scooted out of my room so fast Mom never saw me. I ran into my little Ragdoll brother in the hall way. We both jumped straight in the air and started to play. We got along real well but Jackson was very sick and crossed the Rainbow bridge. I miss him but not a lot.
I really like my doggy brother ,Cashmere. We chase each other every evening. Sometimes Peanut, my other doggy brother, deceides to chase me and Cashmere jumps between us and he backs off Peanut. I don't worry because I could take either one down if I had too.
We all sleep at the bottom of the bed. I let Cashmere use me as a pillow and when Peanut is cold,I snuggle back to back with him.
Meowmy tells me I have some "issues". I'm not sure what she means. I can turn a roll of toilet paper into a huge pile of confetti. This seems to distress her. She says there are better uses for it. She also gets grumpy when I attack her big toe at 4:00AM. I don't think the poor soul has a sense of humor.
But she must, because when I jump over top of Cashmere, she just laughs and laughs.
I really like my forever home, meowmy, and dad. Thank you Siamese Rescue for saving me and matching me up with my family.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.

SANTANA
***********PART OF A LOVING PAIR**********
*******SEE CARLO VA6163********

Saviero; I'm down here, right below you. Is that you right above me, Carlo?

Saviero: Yeah, what's up with that? Already on Page Two. Nothing wrong with us, yeah right.

Saviero: Shhh! Quiet! They are reading this. No, I really like it here and I don't want to leave.

Saviero: Ya know, we aren't kittens.

Saviero: And we are not fearless, either.

Saviero: I guess we wait.

Saviero: That's what mama says: It only takes one person.

Saviero: OK, meow.

Notes from Home
Santana is also doing quite well. Santana will now let us pick him up alot more than he use to. He like to get up on his window pearch alot and look out side. Carlos will get on his window pearch but not as much as Santana. When I am laying on the couch watching TV Santana will get up on the couch so that he can lay down beside me. If Carlos hapens to come over he wants to get on the other side of me. Ed and I enjoy watching both the cats play. Both of the boys are in good health and see the vet regurlay. Santana still does not like to be put in his carrier to go to the vet. When we get home he runs and hides for a couple of hours and then he will finally come out and come around us.
This past year Santana has come along way. He is now following us around the house, and talks much more to us. First thing in the morning he knows what my routeen is and if after I finish it and forget to pick him up and give him his morning kiss and hug he yells very loudly to get my attention so he can get his morning hug and kiss. Santana spends alot more time out with us during the day instead of alot of time under the bed. He has been being alot more vocal lately. When Santana and Carlos are playing they are sure fun to watch. Both cats went to the vet to get their nail cut and the vet said they are doing just beautiful. For the last year Santana has changed so much. He now likes to lay on my lap every time I am working on the computer, when he wants attention he will tap on the key board to let me know that it is time to pay some attention to him and quit working on the computer. In the morning when I first get up and go out to make my cup of tea he is right behind me meowing for me to pick him up and give him some hugs & kisses. This past year he has turned into a real love bug. He is just like his brother about the litter box. Santana expects it to be cleaned as soon as he is done. His checkup at the vet was all good.

SCOUT
Hi, my name is Caleb and I just arrived. I was born on the side of the road and scooped up along with my mom (she's a little on the wild side) and all of my non-meezer siblings the same day we arrived on the scene. I've spent the last 8 weeks in the shelter with this bunch and I'm ready to venture out on my own! So far I LIKE IT! I've got a whole room to myself with a BIG litterbox and a BIG millie bed and a BIG plate of food that nobody gets to step in but me!!! I love playing with foster mommy and daddy and am curious about the BIG cats and doggie that live here. It's a BIG world out there and I'm ready to conquer it!

Notes from Home
Scout has met his fur family. He's made fast friends with Leo my
male lynx point but less so with Kally my
seal point. She's a bit hissy. She is no longer the kitten with Leo all to herself.

ZEUS
I am a young cat that still has a lot of kitten in him. I like people and will meet you at the door and want your attention when you have time to give it. I am a very handsome fellow. I had my vet exam and everything checked out good. I appear to be very healthy and I am ready for my forever home. Now we just need someone looking for someone like me. Nothing not to like here. I am getting to know the resident cats too.

Well let's see Zeus is still thriving, he is such a ball of joy it's as if is a comedian constantly on stage. I taught him a new trick he sets at the coffee table and waits till I place all his treats down and then he won't touch then till I say it's ok he is super smart. Other than that he is getting a little chubby so I ordered him a collar and leash and we are going to walk the hallways and stairwells for exercise. I'll keep you in the loop about our kitty weight loss boot camp. David Burkhart, Zeus, and Valentina🐾🐾

MICKEY
Very loving that is what foster mom says. Very handsome, that is something else she says. What do you think? Ask about me. I would like to stay in Florida where it is warm.

Notes from Home
Mickey, formerly known as Shane, is called the Pretty Pretty Prince by his meowmy and the King of Trouble by my husband.
We recently were blessed with twin grandchildren and Mickey is, by far, the best of our five kitties with them. He loves the color pink and has two pink beds, for when he doesn't sleep with me. He's so clean and gentle, except when it comes to our smallest girl, Juliette....a tiny rescued lynx point.
We now live in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fl, and all of our pets seem to enjoy escaping the humidity of SoFla. Our screen porch backs up to a nature preserve so there is always something to keep the kitties busy.

OLIVER
If you have not already noticed in my photos - I do not have a tail. Foster mom says that I have Manx in my family somewhere as well as some Himmy since I am a little fluffy. I am a sweet loving boy and should fit anywhere that is ok with kitten policies.

Notes from Home
We lost this beautiful boy on February 26, 2014, after over 10 wonderful, happy (and what seems extremely short) years. Oh how we miss our little Wuffers. We believe Duffy was probably a bit older than the original estimate, probably 6-7 versus 4. Duffy had a wonderful spirit, and except for losing some weight, was himself until literally days before it was time... Although we had extensive tests done, including a Sonogram, Blood-work etc., the Vets could find no particular cause for his gradual decline, which we have to attribute to aging. [We had sent this information before, but not through the Siamese Rescue website.]
