CHESTER
Hi - it's Hunter. Just like my brother, Chase, I hae an "active " name. I love to "hunt" furry mice, balls and especially my brother, Chase. Mama Katie says I'm a good "hunter" because I always do the "tiger in the grass bottom wiggle" when I go hunting. I'm bigger than my brother, but I do protect him, so we will need to go home together. I am the "brave hunter" and he depends on me particularly when he gets scared.
PLEASE - only inquire if you are in our transport area. I don't like to ride in a carrier very much and broke off a tooth trying to chew my way out of the carrier on our short trip to Hotel delShue.

July 8, 2014: I had the kittens to my vet last week. She said before she saw them that she wondered why I was adopting kittens with an URI but after she saw them, she understood! They are doing well - we decided to hold off on the last distemper shot for another month to see if they get less snotty and I got the last deworming stuff. Both of them have discovered the cat tunnel and are spending lots of time watching birds on the porch, realizing there is a screen between them and the birds. It’s hilarious. Chase has become a little lover boy while Chester is too much of a jumping bean to want to be held for very long. They are wonderful.

Swizzle is a terrific kitten. he is pretty clumsy, and runs an awful lot, but when he's tired, he's very sweet. he prefers sitting at the end of the couch and the end of the bed to sitting on my lap, but once he's fallen asleep, he's very malleable and doesn't mind being put on my lap.
His purr is super loud. he doesn't meow very much, and when he does it's quiet.
his alter ego is Zombie. this is the kitten that wakes us up in the middle of the night. he comes creeping up, walking on your thighs and belly and then stands on your neck, purring loudly, and does his best to get inside your skull, either by mouth, nose or eyes. i sincerely think he wants to eat our brains. he is relentless.
he and our other cat Speck play hard. they wrestle quite a bit, and i think she'll be pretty surprised as she realizes he's not going to stay a tiny boy forever. they both fit in the box of the cat tower right now, but only time will tell if they will continue to cuddle there.
now we've had Swiz for 6 months, and things are still great. he is the same size as Speck now (though with a long tube sock body as compared to her pumpkin butt). they wrestle and cuddle and we have no problem with how they get along. he's still clumsy. when the cold weather started, he began sleeping on our bed much more. his purr is not so loud any more, but he is just as happy to roll around on my lap. he likes being petted all over, doesn't mind if i rub his belly or play with his toe pads. his only vocalizations are a chirp. he tends to enter a room going mrrrp? as if he wasn't sure we were in there.
has it already been a year? it still feels like he's our baby waby, but he's actually pretty large and long. he and speck still play really nicely together, and though he is not anymore a very cuddly cat, he's still nice to have around. about once a week he climbs under the blanket on the couch and stays for a while while we watch tv, but no lap time. the one time he is inclined to cuddle is when the dog is allowed on the bed. he gets tangled up in her legs and when she finally lays down, swiz head butts her a lot with his quiet tiny purr.

How in the world did a wonderful girl like me wind up on page one? If you love snowshoes and the snowshoe personality, you are really missing out on a happy, people loving, sweet, uniquely marked girl. I love people, I love to talk, I love to play with toys, I love to snuggle next to you, I'll even let you hold me for a while and kiss you. So what's not to like? I just need to be an only girl. Gweny is wonderful. She still is afraid of Snap. He begs to get closer but he must stay a foot away or he gets slapped, he boxes back sometimes. She bonded with me instantly. I love her very much and I think eventually she will accept Snap and his advances.
All my pictures are on my cell phone and I have no idea how to get them on my computer.
I have one small problem with Gwenny, I cannot trim her nails, it's a two man job, I have only one man. Snap is worthless for aid. She tends to scratch carpet and sometimes other things. All I have to say is Gwenny NO, but she is so timid, I hate to even raise my voice to her. She pulls her claws in so tight I just can't clip them and hold her too. She is so afraid at the vet office. but I guess they are my only option for a pedicure. Other than this issue she plays and keeps Snap in his place. We are a very happy family. I am so grateful to have her and Snap.
Another year older and so content, my Mommy loves me dearly and I love her too. Snap will always harass me I think, I just ignore him especially if I am on Mommy's lap. I had a really bad kidney infection this spring. I had to go to the vet 3 times in 6 weeks for antibiotic shots to clear it up. The last visit an infected canine tooth popped out and everything cleared up instantly. I have had my teeth deep cleaned. It seems teeth are a problem for me. I have old folks gum disease and me so young. I am so much more secure here at home I still hide when company comes, but I walk rather than run away. I am wherever my Mommy is like her shadow. I don't get under her feet or become a pest. I just run out in front of her. She is busy and gives Snap and I as much attention as she can. I give her strong head buts and talk her arm off and she loves it when I purr.
I tried to get in her lap at the computer big mistake.....I missed the lap and landed on her keyboard. All these noises happened and scared me to death. I won't make that mistake again.....I will wait until she is in the chair.
All things included, I really love my forever home and can't imagine living anywhere else. I feel so loved and needed. Snap and I are all Mommy has her son died almost 2 years ago. Sometimes she cry's I do my best to comfort her. We are her family now.
July 6, 2014 All is well at my house. Snap needs to go to the vet and have his teeth cleaned before I go. He has terrible breath. I guess that happens when you get older. I still only tolerate him. He backs off and shares his food with me ..that gives him points. I love my mom I sleep on the pillow behind her head especially when it's time to wake her for breakfast. I whisper in her ear....I try to whisper. Snap and I love her very much.. she plays with us and brushes me very often. I would never move again.

Hello from Mr Cream! I am loving being a "Nashville Cat" and feel like I belong in Music City, because I have exceptional vocal skills, particularly impressive at 3:30 am when I am ready to be petted :). My forever parents Laura and Dominic spend all day with me. I have unlimited love and affection. They keep telling me that I am a good kitty and such a handsome a boy. I am particularly good at helping my Dad in his office. I've developed my own filing system by pushing all the papers from the desk to the floor. It is wonderful to be here with my little sister Ms Peaches. We have all sorts of room to run and play together in this big house. Thank you to all the people who rescued me; cared for me and brought me safely to my new parents. It is hard to believe I was ever flea and mite infested and suffering in a parking lot. HI from Ms Peaches!! WOW! I hit the jackpot with my new home!! I am here with my brother Mr Cream and we have a lot of room to run and play. I've been here two weeks and I sure do like it. I was a little shy at first and not so sure about the whole petting and purring thing, but within a few days I figured out I really like affection and I have not looked back since. We have so many toys we don't know what to play with first. I've been working on my vocal skills, but so far it all sounds like a squeak, so my nickname is Squeakers. MYSTIC - TOBY
Hi everyone! I'm Toby. I am a BIG boy looking for a BIG lap! I love people and will reward you with purrs and kisses. I'm just a bit under the weather right now but not sick enough to miss a meal. I eat everything meowmy gives me and am also neat with my litter box. Meowmy says she needs to get better photo's of me as soon as I feel better so you can see my BIG self. I'm not the "typical" meezer in looks, but my eyes are a beautiful blue, I talk like a meezer, and I'm smart and people oriented just like my more delicate cousins. If you're looking for a cat to warm your lap and your heart, then I'm your boy. Just ask Meowmy about me and she'll tell you all about me.
Update: I'm feeling pretty good now and I'm allowed out to play with the other cats. I like them as long as they don't pick on me. Meowmy laughs and says I'm too big to be such a sissy. But hey! I'm a lover, not a fighter.

Notes from Home
toby's new name is Mystic. He is doing great. He loves to give kisses and sleeps on my sons bed at night. He loves to play and spends most of the day watching the birdfeeders we have. We have some interactive toys , which he likes. when ever I cuddle with my son, we just wait a moment and he always joins us. my son has been enjoying him. He has been a great addition to our home.
Mystic is doing wonderful. He went to the vet november 20th and had his vaccines updated. He is very healthy. He has a new window perch which is his favorite place to look outside. He loves his toys and has been watching holiday shows with my son and I. Anything on the floor is his property, so when my son was doing science experiments on the floor Mystic joined in!
Mystic has had a few tough weeks. He blocked three times and finally had to have the Perineal Urethrostomy surgery. He is recovering now in my bedroom. He is a favorite at the vets. They love when Mystic comes for visits. He was there almost every day for about 3 weeks! He is loving the extra attention he is getting. He still loves to sleep on my sons bed. He loves his interactive toy so much that Santa Paws has to bring a new one this year!
Having Mystic is very much like having a large dog around. He finds any food in the house. We have to be sure to hide everything and not leave anything on the counter. He will go thru the garbage and the groceries that you just put on the floor! He ate Santa's cookies last year too! My son says his nickname is "No Mystic No"! he is such fun, but a handful!
Mystic has not fully recovered yet from being blocked. His surgery went great and that has healed. But, he only pees once a day. The doctors believe his bladder was distended for so long, it basically forgot how to work. He is on a lot of medication and we are waiting to see how to help him more.
Mystic is doing better. He will be on a lot of medication for the rest of his life to help him pee. He has to eat special food too. He seems happy overall and is enjoying life. He has a new water fountain and he loves it.
He is still in the middle of everything and keep life interesting!
He is still doing ok on all of his medications. Still pees only once a day , but it seems to work for him.
He is still king of the house!
Mystic passed away from his illness on July 2nd 2014. It was very hard on him and he lived with his illness for about 4 years. We will miss him. He was the life in our home. It is very quiet without him.

Foster mom is very sad that no one has asked about me. She says you don't know what you are missing by not asking. I am sweet and mellow and lovable. I have excellent litterbox habits and will eat both wet and dry food so what's not to love? I am learning how to play something I wasn't able to do before because I had babies to take care of. Now I am free to be young and carefree myself.

Notes from Home
Rhett is doing great! He is such a delight-fearless, sweet and loving. He has gained a pound and got a good report from the vet. He did have to go on antibiotic for a week for some yucky eyes, but that has cleared up well. Our dog, Einstein loves him and our other kitty has become more outgoing and playful, though she is quick to put him in his place when she's had enough. He is everything my daughter, Tessa wanted. Once again I want to thank everyone involved in the adoption. It was a pleasure meeting and working with all of you. I will send a picture as soon as I figure out how to do it(:
