QUINCY
Meowmy says I'm a lover! I do purr as soon as she pets me and talk to her when she talks to me. I just got here, so I haven't given up all my secrets yet, but I'm a happy boy being out of the shelter.

I'll tell you more soon.

Purrs,

Wow! Quincy has been a member of our family for one month. He is very inquisitive and loves to play - I can't imagine how much energy he had as a kitten! Quincy is enjoying his new climber that the Easter Bunny brought him. He especially likes climbing the support poles to reach the top platform.

August 2, 2014
Quincy keeps us entertained! He has become my shadow and likes to supervise whatever I do. His daddy built perches and carpeted the top of an armoire so that Quincy can observe his realm. Quincy is muched love!

SONNY
Hi there!

My name is Sanun, (Sa-Noon) which means "happy" in the Thai language. Meowmy said that is a perfect name for me 'cause I am a happy boy. I loved my bath, ate all my food, and love playing with all the neat toys Meowmy gave me. I bet I'll even like the doggie I saw on my way to the foster room when I'm allowed to meet her!
Are you looking for a happy go lucky fella like me? If so and you have another kitty for me to play with, or want to adopt one of the other ones that are here with me, just hit ask about me and we'll see if we can make it happen. Meowmy said I should be able to have inquiries in about a week, so be patient.

Purrs,
Sanun

LILLY SPICE
Hi there! My name is Spice. Meowmy says I am a sweet kitten and just as cute as can be. Because I'm still so small she isn't 100% sure if I really am a girl, but as soon as she finds out for sure, she said she'd let you know, too.
I am just learning how to play but I'm am braver than my sister(?) Sugar. I was the runt of the litter, but have caught up now and feel very sure of myself.
Meowmy said it will probably be the middle of August before I'm big enough to go to a forever home, but you can ask about me now and watch me grow.
Bye for now,
Spice

RUDY
I've had a couple of rough years.
First my own person went to Rainbow Bridge and then my next person left for there.
There were no close family members to take me in so then I lost my home and my feline family members that I used to snuggle with.
The shelter was a scary scary place for me....barking dogs, the smells, the noise...it was just too much so I started to shut down.
A nice lady at the shelter contacted Siamese Rescue so I'm back into a home being given time to readjust.
Foster Mary believes I probably didn't get much attention in the past couple of years so as a result I have grown very shy.
Patience is going to be key for me. If you are looking for an instant lap cat then I'm not your guy; but if you want to offer me love and have understanding on dealing with a shy kitty the gratification when I do finally decide to return to the land of the loved will be so heartwarming.

Notes from Home
Rudy is making slight progress which is great. He is slowly getting to know us and for now he likes lots of distance from us when he roams the house. However, in the evenings he allows me to cuddle him at eye level in his designated space. The big news is he has not mummified himself in blankets for quite some time. He is feeling comfortable is "showing" himself, but at a distance.

LEAH-DOROTHEA
Turned into a shelter with my two siblings, I am the sole survivor. I'm going to make it, I just know it, and I hope you're going to be the one to help me! Lots of cuddling, loving, snuggling, carrying around and adoring, that's what I need! And I could easily be a cat buddy if you have a cute geezer man who needs a friend?

ZOEY
Ambrosia means Love requited. Will you return the love I give to you. I am a shy girl but oh so loving when I find out I can trust you. I am beautiful too.

6/29/10 I am like a gentle flower opening up for my personality to show. I am loving all the petting I get and the good food too. I have been waiting for someone to want me and I don't understand why no one asks about me. Can you tell me why?

Notes from Home
Oh, I can't believe it's been 4 years since I came to live with my new Meowm! I've had a lot of fun! But, just a couple of weeks ago I had an unpleasant medical adventure. Meowm noticed blood in my urine and took me to the Vet. (That's not fun either as I really don't cooperate when it comes to putting me in a carrier.) Anyway, turns out I had a bladder stone...a pretty big one...and I had to have surgery. That was NOT FUN, but I did enjoy the happy juice they gave me! I'm just fine now and I'm back to all my old kitten ways...I love to run and run and run around the house...and damn the consequences! And, I'm back to jumping up on my favorite window sill to see what's going on outside. What a life!

PHANTOM
Hi everyone - my name is Rogue. I was trapped and spayed, and they even cut off the tip of my beautiful ear! That's what they do to wild things, but the trappers saw that there was something gentle in my eyes... so here I am! I'm getting used to this new way of life, and FAST! In 16 days I've graduated from a cowering little ball of fur to a catnip crunching, purring, loving, happy ball of fur! I'm coming out of my private space and playing with my fostermate, Lucille. We groom each other, play, and lay in the sun together. If I move in with you, I hope you'll have a friendly kitty to keep me company. I might take a few steps backward at first, but great things are in store for our life together!

Notes from Home
Rogue (now Phantom) is settling in well. She still scared at times, especially when both Ian and I are around and standing over her, but her curiosity and desire for affection and play wins out more and more.

She seems to prefer dark, quiet places to sleep, so we don't see much of her during the day. In the late afternoon and evening, though, she starts to reappear. She does this thing where she arches her back way up in the air then tries to walk that way - this is her way of telling us she would like some attention. As soon as you pet her she starts purring and leaning into your hand and from there it's a short journey to her being sprawled out on the floor, getting pets and scritches while she kneads at the carpet or the air. Soon after she's likely to very gently grab your hand to start playing as well.

She loves to play. Catnip toys in particular, but she's also fond of hands and feet. I woke up one night last week with a cat clamped around my foot! She and Otis play some as well, and there has never been any growling or hissing on either of their parts.

I think she's going to continue to open up as she gets more comfortable and realizes the big scary people aren't dangerous. I'm not pressuring her to be out more than she is comfortable, but every day she is warming up more and more.

One year note -

What an eventful year for all of us! As many know, we lost Phantom for about six weeks back in April - she escaped out an open door (having never dashed for the door before) and it took us quite a while to figure out where exactly she was hiding and develop a plan to trap her. Alls well that ends well, though, as she suffered no ill effects from her little adventure. And we're certainly very careful when we open the door now! Sometimes she scratches at the door and looks piteous, but otherwise she seems perfectly content back inside.

Now that she's fully part of the family it's clear that she's a closet people cat. She certainly enjoys playing with Otis, but what she REALLY likes is rubbing up against her people for pets and tummy rubs. And if she doesn't get them, she'll start crying, even in the middle of the night. She arches her back and rubs and winds and purrs and rolls around on her back and very, very gently grabs our hands and bites us. Basically, we ended up with a SECOND very needy, affectionate little cat.

She's a real sweetheart and even though she's not a lap cat, she loves her people very much.

Notes from Home
Coco has the run of the house and greets me daily when I come home from work. You can never find her sleeping in the same spot. She is not afraid of the TV (loud) or the vacuum cleaner.
She loves all of her toys and scratching post and the cozy and blanket.

She is still shy, not a cuddler yet! But I'm trying.

Thanks to all
Sharon Szady and Coco

GOMEZ
Please - I don't want to be a page one Meezer! I come with an adoption scholarship. If you can offer a fur-ever home for a true young-at-heart gentleman Meezer, with a continuous purring motor who loves to snuggle with my purr-son(s), I'm your boy. Sometimes I like to sleep with you. I do like helping in the kitchen - see my photos of helping with baking Christmas cookies.

A few years ago my ear itched so much that I needed surgery to fix the boo-boo from my scratching. So now I have a cute crinkle ear that gives me a jaunty look - that's why foster Meown Trish calls me 'Dapper Dan". I'm a pretty healthy geezer meezer. I do take a tiny blue pill everyday (Meown sneaks it into my breakfast) to help me with my allergy so that I don't itch. I use my box faithfully. Please ask Meown Trish to tell you more about me.

Purrs, Gomez

Notes from Home
Gomez settled in wonderfully here in Maine. He was clearly a piece that had always been missing here, and hopefully we were the piece that had been missing for him. Such a good helper, always enjoying sampling whatever was cooking in the kitchen (even if he wasn't supposed to!). He especially enjoyed sitting next to his mom and dad on the couch and really liked being able to finally sleep the bed at night time. And what a smart boy! We would talk to him and he would talk right back. The days at work were easier to get through knowing he was going to be waiting for us at the door.
Our time with Gomez was short but we wouldn't change a moment of it, he brought so much joy to us. So thank you to Siamese Rescue for bringing together a family that was always meant to be. Gomez will always be our little snowshoe boy. We miss him very much.
