9/9/14:
My mom uploaded some pictures! Including me a few days after that scary hospital trip. UGH. She says she's going to find some of my sister soon, but she has big busy at work right now (she keeps coming home LATE and feeding us AFTER DARK and geez that is NO FUN).
PS - I am SO much better. Sometimes my leg still doesn't do what I want, but mommy says it may take another couple of months before I'm 100%.... but for now, no more ouch!! It is wonderful. Now if only my furs would finish growing back...
7/5/14:
Hi Everyone! I am very, very (very) bored right now because I'm stuck in one room and not always with my Mommy or my sister, so Mommy says I should take a few minutes and tell everyone how I am. Mommy says she feels bad that she hasn't found the time to update everyone with things in my life. A year and a half is too long!
But anyway, I do have a story for you. I don't know what happened, but one day Mommy got up in the morning to feed us and moved me, and she touched my hip, and I had an ouch! I hissed her. When she tried to look at me to find out what was wrong, I bit her too. It was a big ouch!! I am usually the sweetest boy ever (so she says) so I kinda felt bad. But ouch! I had to go visit a scary ER 'cause it was Sunday (there was a PIG there!!).... then I had some medicines that made the pain go away. Then a few days later I had to go stay overnight at a whole different place. They did a whole bunch of things to me and I liked none of it. But I've been back home with Mommy since the 26th... and she hasn't had to give me any icky medicines for a whoooole day now!
Mommy says I had a "growth plate fracture" in my hip and I had to have an "FHO surgery"... she is worried I will someday hurt my other side too, but I'm not gonna let that stop me. I don't understand these things, I just want to be back to playing with my sister now. Mommy says it's going to be WEEKS before I'm really allowed to run around full speed again. She said I was bad for butt-wiggling my sister earlier tonight. :-( BUT! She also says it's just a few more days before I can get rid of this cone thing and really bathe. GEEZ I hate not being able to wash!!!! And I am slowly (or maybe not so slowly) relearning how to walk normally.
Other than all that drama, I am really good! Mommy says besides my obvious Siamese awesomeness, somewhere along the way I must have some Maine Coon in me, or some other big, fuzzy breed... 'cause I have grown into a huge fuzzy fuzzball!! I have some furs on me that're as long as mom's hand (no joke!)... which really makes it hard to wash myself sometimes, but I make it work. I also have a lion's mane look in the wintertime, and long furs on the bottom of my feet!
I just LOVE to play with my sister, and I am the best killer of feather birds EVER (I am the only kitty Mommy has ever seen that will hiss feathered things while they're still in my mouth.). I am also in charge of putting Mommy to bed every night, and I keep an eye on the birds outside the bedroom window. Gotta make sure they don't disturb mom!

2/7/13: Hi! Mommy says I need to sit down a minute and update all the other folks that took such good care of me. And she says that it'll make me famous on this "happy tales" thing for a few minutes. I certainly have a happy tail! When I get really excited it's almost like my whole body vibrates, I'm just soooooo.... everything is amazing! And my tail just dances like that's all it knows how to do.
I'm so very busy. I really surprised Mommy after we got back from our Christmas trip, 'cause I started to actually sit in her lap and purr and rest. She was really figuring it'd be a long time before I stopped long enough to have some lap time, but she was wrong! I like her lap in the computer chair lots. My sister likes to sit with her on the couch. We both like to tackle her while she sleeps... but she doesn't like that too much :-(
Mommy says I'm her "do first and ask questions later" kitty. My sister thinks about things too much first - what fun is that???? Earlier this week I ate something I shouldn't have (it was a dead bug I found... never mind that I don't like it when you do ANYTHING to my regular food - this was different!). Anyway... it kinda made me sick! Oops.... Mommy says I'd do it again first chance I get, 'cause I won't remember. I've already forgotten about that time I "accidentally" licked a stinkbug... it's a good thing mommy didn't have her camera then. I'll never live that one down.
So yep, I keep life interesting here. My only struggle is that sometimes I have trouble "making it" when I jump up on things... but my doctor says it's nothing serious, and all I really end up doing most of the time is making a bigger mess for mom to clean up. I have a lot of fun knocking things over. I'm totally ok with that :-)
11/30/12: My sister and I have been here 3 weeks! I talk to mommy all the time now. I tell her when she really should hurry up and put the food on the floor for us... and when we're low on the water... and pretty much whenever she's not doing what I want her to do.
I really like to attack my own tail. Or my sister's. And toy mice are way fun too. And mommy's hair... i just don't understand why that is not to play in!
11/16/12: Hi! Me and my sister have been home with our new mommy for a week now. There are so many fun new things here. There's a scratching post I like to hang off of a lot, there's a big window that I like to look out of (it took me a few days to figure out how to jump up there!)… AND there are so many toys!!!! My sister and I entertain ourselves a lot, but mommy makes this feather bird on a string thing appear, and man, that's just the best fun ever.
Mommy says I'm a brave little boy, but sometimes I overstep myself a little... I bolted out of our room last night only to realize that oh no, there's another room!! It was very very scary!! Mommy rescued me pretty fast though, so it ended up being ok. She says we might get to leave the door to our room open tomorrow, and then I can see the rest of our place. I think that means I can run in between her legs and trip her up ALL the time. I’m so excited!!
The only time Mommy gets a little upset with me is when I chew on her hair after I wake her up in the morning… but we’re working on that :-)

Hi there! Do you have bats in your belfrey? How about a mouse in the house? If so, then I'm the man for you!!!
In my other life I was known as Terminator, because no mouse could hide from me, but now that I'm starting my new career as a house cat Meowmy said that name has to go. So now I will be Ted E. Bear, Teddy for short, or if you please, Teddy the terminator!
I have already let meowmy know that I'm a lover, head butter, kneader, and a big ole mush! She also says I talk too much! HURMP! How do expect me to get your attention and tell you I want a lap to sit in and some chin scritches, if I don't tell you?

Update: I have been under the weather for a while, but am feeling real good now! I met the resident kitties and loved them all. I really wish I could go to a home with a few other kitties to keep me company. I met the dog, too. I wasn't too impressed with her, and decided to put her in her place. I know she was just trying to say hello, but no respecting kitty lets a dog *kiss* him. Hurmp!

I just had my 10th anniversary! I used to be called Cindy, but my new people family changed it to Mika. I think it fits me. Please see my family in the attached photo. I am on the top of the couch. This is my usual spot as I am the queen, top cat, etc. Stitch arrived a few months after me and is still going strong. He doesn't see so well but that doesn't stop him. He enjoys sitting on laps once he gets to know you. Zoey is 3 and 1/2. I mothered her when she was a puppy. We are one happy family.

Boots is settling into our home nicely. He is a wonderful cat! Love him!
6/29/13 Boots has been with us for little over a a month now! The Vet did surgery on his ear about a week after we got him, because of a hematoma cause from scratching due to an ear infection. The best part of his month here he has worn a E-collar. Finally, Vet rechecked again last Thursday and he is all clear. We are still working on the integrating him with the resident Siamese! She is one year old and feisty! But we are making progress, it just slow. Boots takes it all in stride, as he is very laid back. Hopefully, we can get some pics up soon. We have them we just had a problem loading them to the computer.
11/22/2013 Boots is doing well. He is a wonderful cat. He and Yum Yum (the first resident cat) are getting along well. They rumble and tumble, but its all in fun. Boots likes to sleep in the bed with me and my husband. Yum Yum does occasionally, but Boots lets us know when he is ready for bed every night. He loves our screened in pouch and frequently talks to the birds and squirrels. We love him. He is a great cat.

It have been a over a year since Boots became a member of our family. We love him dearly and can't imagine life without him. He is a very sweet and loving boy!

Hey! My name is Leon and I'm a lovable guy from the streets. I am *very* thankful to be living in a nice safe home with lots of food and toys, and I'm not afraid to show you how grateful I am! Christine says she has never met a more affectionate cat!
I politely "mew" when I want someone to pay attention to me, and I'm happy as a clam when you pick me up. I immediately put both paws on either side of your neck, and nuzzle and cuddle. If you're walking my way, watch out - I'm an ankle-circler. I love to sit on your lap and watch movies, and I just discovered ice cream! I snuck a couple of licks last night, and boy is that good stuff!
I'm definitely the kind of cat who likes human contact - I just want to be where you are. I love to be petted, brushed, you name it! I *must* sleep in bed with you, too. Sometimes on your chest, hugging and kneading your neck, but generally beside you, or at your feet. I don't mind other cats, as long as they don't mind sharing you with me! I just want be your man!

Hi! It's been a few years since I've updated everyone. Meowmy and Pawpa had a kitten of their own (or whatever you call baby primates) and boy, does he keep me busy! I am so gentle and purrfect with him that all of their friends are amazed. We moved to Boston 2 years ago, and Meowmy gets to take me to work again sometimes, which means I have a whole new fan club. After spending his first afternoon with me, Meowmy's officemate told her, "Your cat is WICKED AWESOME!!" (They talk like that here, even 50-something professionals.) And he's a vet who sees lots of cats, so he should know. I made Meowmy proud by coming immediately when she called me, and she told her officemate, "See? My cat listens better than your dog!" I still have tummy troubles sometimes (Meowmy calls it I-B-D), and they give me pills for it which make me hungry sometimes. I'm a big boy at almost 15 pounds now! Meowmy says I eat my feelings, but I don't know what that means. By the way, Meowmy and Pawpa changed my name to Liam. (I guess they couldn't pronounce Leon properly.) Sometimes they call me Yammies. That's all for now- I have some Internet shopping to do before Meowmy comes home. I'll try to get Meowmy to upload some photos in case you've forgotten how handsome I am. Thank you to everyone who helped me find my family. They say they can't imagine their lives without me!
