BUDDY
Just a big lovable hunk of a boy. I love laps, attention, and conversation. I like foster mom and pa's doggie and other cats. Nothing not to like about me.

XING
I'm finally feeling better and now I'm learning to not be so shy. My foster meowm says i'm making great strides. I'll be ready to go home once I get over the remnants of this cold and have my surgery. Until foster meowm knows more, the jury is still out on how I am with other cats, kids, and dogs. You can still ask about me though if you think you might like a shy but very adoring young man in your life.

Purrs,
Xing (my name means Star in Chinese)
Notes from Home
Hi everyone! Xing here! Meow!
I'm way over due for an update! Its been 3 years since I came to my forever home with Mama Stef and Papa Gary.
I am one happy cat! I have good food, a warm bed and a brother and sister to play with. I do goofy things like "drama-flops" when I want attention, and I like to dunk my cat toys in the water bowl. But hey, thats a Lynx Point for you! I reward Mom and Pop with good manners and purrs. I've been blessed with good health.
This is way better than the streets of Virginia beach where I was found.
I won't ever forget the kindness of SRC and the volunteers who saved my life.
Love and purrs, Xing

Hello, and meow to everyone!
Xing here checking in! Do you know Im now 5 years old?
I am one happy cat thanks to SCR and their volunteers.
I love to chirp and trill; MamaStef says I speak many languages and love to join the conversation.
I love to be beside Mama and Papa all the time, and I roll over for a belly rub whenever they come by me. Who's giving WHO attention?? Haha
I prance around like I own the place with my long tail held high, and I curl up like such a pretty package (which I am, of course)."
They call me other names like TsingTsing, Little Ears and "The Cadet", whatever that means and many times I come running like a dog. Other times, well, uh, no. Depends on my mood!
Here's my new photo. Wishing you all love and purrs. Xing

MOCHA
Just arrived. More information soon. But even after my long ride, I purred before my bath, and after my bath (not during - I'm sweet, not crazy!). Better pictures of me later when I'm not so squirmy and anxious to play!

Mocha is doing GREAT. Eating good, playing with her new brother Ceelo, a triger stripe 10 week old boy. They just love each other. When they play they are so funny. When it is sleep time they cuddle up together. They both sleep with John and I ahe sits there in the morningnd take up all the room. They both love to be held and loved

It has been 6mts since Mocha has been in my home and she has settled in just Great. She is starting to get very brown fur and a big belly, she eats well. Both her and Ceelo eat just fine they remind me of dogs they want to eat all the time. Mocha loves to sit on her cat stand and look out the window. She sits there in the morning and waits for me to say good-bye when I leave for work and she is there when I get home. When Mocha & Ceelo play they are so funny. I am so glad I have her in my life....

CHEETARA
Hi there!

I'm Sandy, and so happy to be here with my brother, Sunny. He's been my mentor since we lost our mom. A nice lady was feeding us and trying to teach us how to eat solid food, but I had a hard time learning. Sunny got it right away and taught me. He's also showed me that people aren't as scarey as I thought. He grooms me and reassures me every step of the way, and our new meowmy said we can go home together, too, and not be seperated. So, if you're interested in me, you'll have to ask about Sunny, too.

Purrs,
Sandy

Notes from Home
In our new home and settling in nicely.

Thibaud (neé Sunny) and Cheetara (neé Sandy) have settled in nicely with their new house mate, Sieglinde. Thibaud remains a seemingly endless reserve of boundless energy and activity. Cheetara can hold her own with him and is quite adventurous in her own way, but she still controls when and who she approaches, not the other way around, and is quite affectionate.

April 2013

All settled in and loving life. Both kittens continue to grow. Thibaud is now larger than the matron of the household,Sieglinde, and Cheetara has outgrown her "runt of the litter" appearance. Sometimes its hard to tell her apart from Sieglinde.

Thibaud makes himself scarce whenever there are strangers in the house, and Cheetara is the one who ventures out to investigate. (A reversal of roles from their early days.)

Both are more outgoing and affectionate every day. And both bring a ray of joy to the household.

TEBOW
Hi there!

I'm Sunyy and so happy to be here with my sister, Sandy. I've been her mentor since we lost our mom. A nice lady was feeding us and trying to teach us how to eat solid food, but she had a hard time learning. I got it right away and loved the taste of it and Snady finally got it by watching me eat. ( I think she thought she was missing out on something good the way I was slurping and purring while I was eating it.) I also showed her that people aren't as scarey as she thought. I love to groom her and reassure her every step of the way, and our new meowmy said we can go home together, too, and not be seperated. This cat is not suitable for children under the age of 5 (ie 5 and over is OK). This is typically a cat that is shy and a child might scare it, or one that has a potential to bite or play too hardNot with kids under 5

photo

Notes from Home
Ted is settling in well into his new home and loves to lick his "little brother" Will. Ted got happier also when I discovered that he loves canned food - Second day here, I put some Grain free canned food out for Ted and Will and Ted gobbled it up and hasn't looked much at the dry food since. He is doing so well and seems so happy - these guys are such good company and both love my lap.
April 6, Ted is doing real well - he's the laid back guy and Rex (Will's new name) is the high energy guy. Ted and Rex fight over sitting in my lap - usually Rex is there first for a while and then Ted decides to cover over and lick Rex. Rex enjoys that for a short time and then huffs off. Ted always greets me at the door when I come home from work and plays with shoe laces or other strings on my jacket. Ted's gotten into the routine, while Rex is still figuring it out and loves that dry food.

Did you say you wanted two? Two fantastic, socialized, loving, affectionate, interactive and wonderful cats? Well look no further! Ted and I are an easy going, happy go lucky pair that love to snuggle, play, hang out and explore. No pressure here, we are very well behaved, share a food bowl, a litter box, and your bed. Not only that, but with a scholarship and some donated carriers, the price is right!

Notes from Home
Will has a lot more energy than his "Brother" Ted and enjoys running around the house in the morning while I get their food ready. He enjoys the 2 level Cat Condo at the top of the stairs where he can observe us from above - and likes these little furry mice I had. Will picks the mice up in his mouth and walks around the house - I gave him 3 of these mice and now can't find any - I wonder if he already has a hiding place for them? Will likes to sit on my lap and let Ted lick his fur. I am very lucky to have such a wonderful pair of Kitties and so handsome. I finally am able to tell them apart.
April 6, its been over one month now, and all is going very well with both kitties. I changed Will's name to Rex - he wasn't responding to Will whereas Ted knows his name. I tried several different names with Will and Rex - Sir Rex Harrison, seems to work. His fur on his belly and legs is filling in and he seems to really enjoy his toys and the Millie bed.

Notes from Home
Hello from Allspice's new home!

Allspice is doing very well, and has settled in wonderfully. She loves to nap on the bed and the sofa and has been super affectionate - she's been making biscuits and purring non-stop! Her favorite toys are crinkly mylar balls and feather wands, and every night after her dinner she sprints all around the apartment chirping happily. She's become very vocal, especially when she's reminding you that it's mealtime!

She's been eating and using the litter box perfectly, and just had a checkup yesterday where the vet gave her a clean bill of health. We've had a few more nipping incidents, but we're learning to read her body language and avoid overstimulating her, and also making sure to let her know that it's not appropriate behavior.

We are so happy that she's here with us - thanks so much to everyone who helped make this possible!

---

It's been just over a month now, and things are going great! We've renamed her Mimosa (Mims or Mimsy for short). She has a new favorite toy, a wire cat dancer that she loves to chase all over the apartment. Even when she's exhausted from playing with it and can hardly get off the floor, she lets out a plaintive meow when we put the cat dancer away. She also loves sitting on the sink counter and watching soap bubbles pop. All in all she seems happy and healthy!

ZACHARIAH L GEEZER
Are you one of those really smart adopters who know there's nothing quite like having a geezer in your life ?

If so, Foster Meowm says they just don't get any better than me ! I'm healthy with the testing to prove it, I love people and laps, I get along with other cats just fine, and just looking at me with my eyes crossed and tongue sticking out should lighten up your day!

Like most geezers (and geezerettes), I don't ask for much - a warm home, a soft bed, regular meals and love are all I need to be happy. Oh yes, add a catnip toy to those requirements.

Adopt me and when you look into my eyes and see the love and trust shining back at you, you'll feel like the luckiest person in the world !
Notes from Home
Zachariah is doing great! He is healthy and loves to eat...but mostly only beef, beef, beef, anything that says "beef". He started at the foor of the bed and progressed to the head and now will sleep face to face with us. He loves to snuggle and although not keen to be picked up, once you are settled, he will climb on some part of you and "immobilize" you. He hears me arriving from work as I park the car in front of the house and starts meowing, in that great Siamese voice, and I can literally hear him from my parked car. It is amazing, the dogs barking AND Zach meowing! Although an older gentleman, he likes to play peekaboo and will run to us to get his head scratched, run away and hide behind the door and then run back again for more head scratching. Our vet has a great time imitating him, cross eyed and with tongue out. He is a very loving Geezer Meezer, just a fantastic dude!
