What I love: cuddles, conversation, company, attention. I'll also give those back to you, too. Want to share?

Sassy was found as a stray but obviously has been a pet, is in elegant condition, and front declawed. Wonder who could have possibly lost such a stunning cat!

Ask about me now because I won't be on this page for long!

SHIAO MEI LIN
Oh so hopeful.

Hopeful someone will see the hope in my eyes.

Hopeful someone will love me.

Hopeful someone will be gentle with me.

Hopeful there is a lap out there just for me.

Hopeful I will be the song in someone's heart.

Foster Meowm says I am passing lap-sitting 101 with flying colors! I sometimes still scoot, but mostly wait for her to pick me up and snuggle and play kissy face with me. I love laying on her lap and getting petted and rubbed. I just purr and purr. As soon as I jump in her lap all by myself I can get my Lap Sitting Diploma. I play so nicely and gently with all the toys and with my roommate. I'm too much of a princess to wrestle and roughhouse, so no bully boys or girls please.

9/19/14
I got my Lap Sitting Diploma today!!! In fact I didn't want Meowmy to put me down.

AND, I'm going home!! Yah...My very own lap is in my future!!!

SAMSON
An outgoing friendly guy, I was a stray for some time and am now ready to call your home my home! I'd do better with a busier household over a quieter one, older kids would be great, and if anyone was interested in walking their cat like you would a dog, I might well be a candidate!

Notes from Home
Just figured I'd post an update on Samson:

Initially Samson was very laid back, well behaved, and loved to be pet. When I took him to the vet he got very stressed out and nervous(I could barely get him in and out of the carrier). The vet warned me that one of his teeth may need to be pulled and that I should bring him in for a cleaning in a month or so so that they can reassess. They also warned me that he shows some signs of arthritis in his back legs and that I should give him Cosequin. Lastly she warned me that he has signs of a heart murmur and gave me a specialists number.

I haven't followed up on the specialist yet, it sounds more expensive than I'm prepared to deal with. Also, I've read that stress can throw off those tests and Samson was beyond stressed at the vet.

After bringing him back it took him awhile to warm back up to us. After another week we began to integrate him with Stella. She hissed at him a little at first, but that has stopped. Stella also tended to follow Samson around which made him nervous, so we'd still give him some time alone.

Now we leave them both out together and they seem to be fine. They don't play much or anything, but they are fine around each other and they always eat together. Just today I found both of them sleeping on our bed near each other.

Samson has been getting used to the place and is back to being really cuddly despite being a bit nervous when we are walking around near him. He LOVES to eat and yowls in the morning in anticipation of me filling his bowl.

Our only real problem(aside from the vet ones) is that he sometimes gets mean towards me(and more frequently my finacee). He'll be fine and then all of a sudden start biting at you. Also he sometime will follow her and bite at her heels. Still, I think it's starting to pass. He's just very slow at getting used to things.

Oh, also its probably worth mentioning that he hasn't tried to run toward the front door at all! I know that was an initial concern with him.

UPDATE 10/3/14:

Everything has been going great with Samson. He's actually curled up next to me on the couch right now! I think he's calmed down a lot now that he's had time to adjust. He doesn't really show any of the mean behavior anymore. He does sometimes get "overstimulated" when petting him but that's all. Also he can still be pretty skittish if you approach him standing up, but he's getting better. He loves cuddling whenever me or Brittany are laying on the couch or in bed. He also loves hanging out in my "man cave"/video game room.Oh and he and Stella get along pretty well now. They chase each other around and play all the time now. Things are going great!

BAILEY
I just got here and got my bath. I will let you know more about me as I get settled in and make myself comfortable.

Notes from Home
I wish we had good news. It's been a roller coaster for sure.

Since Monday, Bailey had not eaten. We brought him to the vet this afternoon, and she confirmed that the earlier "bounce" was due to the residual Prednisone in his system, and not as a result of infection that was getting under control.

As Bailey had Lymphoma, we decided that euthanasia was the preferred option. It was not an easy choice by any means. The vet and her assistant were very good, and Bailey was so lethargic to start with, he didn't resist. His passing was swift and painless. His remains are being cremated.

Please continue doing your wonderful work. Bailey has been a blessing to us.

hugs,
John and Marge

AJAX
Ajax here....
what he said (brother Apollo)

Notes from Home
Now for an Ajax story. Ajax is totally amazing. Very very intelligent, and possibly the most loving cat I have ever known. And he is also the family athlete. No place is safe, no matter how high! He can jump from the bed to the top of the dresser across the 'aisle' in the bedroom; he can jump onto the shelves of my hutch ( shudder) and visit my grandmother's china; the washing machine is no effort at all, and now he is trying to figure out how to get from there to the pantry shelves, if only there was room to land there! He sits up on the washer and cries for me in his tiny little voice to come pick him up and give him a 'tour' of the pantry shelves; you can just see those little wheels in his head turning as he tries to see a good place to land up there... I have learned to keep those shelves full at the edges in hopes that he is too discouraged to try jumping up, but I have no doubt that one of these days I will find him up there, calling me to come see what a wonderful thing he did!!!

APOLLO
Pick me - Pick me!!
Well us actually.
Better than Twice The Fun With Doublemint Gum we are.
Foster Mary can give you all the information on us that you might need.
We're still young (7 years is nothing), we're lovable and huggable, we have great meezer voices, we are loyal, and the list goes on.
My bro, Ajax, and myself want a forever and ever home where we are loved, cherished and adored.
And guess what - you will get that back TIMES TWO!!!

Notes from Home
So, here is my Apollo story for today. He has turned out to be quite a character; very lovable and entertaining. For those of you that don't know my Apollo, he is a lonnnngggg kitty. At about 15 pounds, he is slim and muscular, not fat. And I am a vertically challenged woman, about 5'2"... And Apollo has adopted me. He follows me absolutely everywhere, kitchen ( of course, there might be food there... ), den, bedroom, bathroom.. ( He hasn;t yet figured out that the seat could be up and be very dangerous for athletic kitties.. ) But anyhow. Now that he has chosen me as his adopted human, he wants to sleep with me, which is very nice; loving and cuddly, warm in the chilly weather. We have a California King size bed, my husband is tall and likes his space. Up til now , that has been plenty of room, even with a cat in the bed. (or two) Now, however, things are getting just a bit tight. Apollo, you see, likes to lie between us and stretch out his full length ACROSS the bed. And he then pushes with his little toes all night. And he is strong! So by morning, both of us are trying to hang on the our respective edges of the bed!!! Luckily, we love him very much, and prefer to have him there anyhow . :) A house without cats is not a home!!

COCO NUT
Front and central, I'm the ambassador cat who checks everything out! I can play a good game of hide and seek (watch my video to see) but when you find me, I come right out and am ready to interact. I can do the best two footed headbutt dance you have ever seen! Other cats are fine as long as I get the attention I need!

Notes from Home
Oh Mr, Coco Nut, where can I even begin. For starters I have waited to make this update for awhile due to some medical issues that Coco Nut has had in order to provide the correct information to everyone. After getting sick on and off for the past month and we finally have a diagnosis: Coronavirus. We were heartbroken at the news for both him and other siamese Puff Puff but our vet assured us that she was probably exposed at some in her life and that she probably has a stronger immune system and that 90% of cats have it but only 5% get very sick. We were told that he may be near the tail end of this disease due to his frequent illness but it has not made our love for him any less.

He is such a character, who was very shy at first but now knows this is his home. He chose my mom immediately and gave her kisses and nuzzles on her face from the very beginning (I haven't earned that yet) and loves spending time with us humans. His relationship with the other kitty has grown too, when are around they barely look at each other but we have caught them on multiple occasions sharing my bed or cuddled up next to each other when they think we are not looking.

Our hope is that this round of antibiotics he is currently on will help him get stronger, and that our prayers work and he avoids illness for quite some time. Either way, for better or worse, we thank you so much for Coco Nut and are so happy to have him in our family,

Notes from Home
Circe aka Sugar Baby, was described by Siamese Rescue as a "10." She still is, more than five years later! She can leap tall couches in a single bound, and likes to carry feather and panic mice in her mouth (unless she is busy talking). She has brought lots of joy to everyone (except, some days, to her adopted brother Sasso aka Paco). Thanks Siamese Rescue!

STELLA
I came in as a stray, and pretty neglected. I'm pretty pathetic here - don't you agree? But I'm better now and foster mom promises I will be a new cat in no time. I was a real favorite at the shelter 'cause I'm so sweet - they all had to hug me and say goodbye! I can be a favorite at your house, too. Better pictures of me coming very soon, I like petting better than posing.
I won't be here long, that is certain, so click on me now!

Notes from Home
Stella was a little shy at first, but it didn't take long for her to begin trusting us. She loves any toy that makes noise. Especially the crinkle tunnel. She's prone to headbutts and falling down when you speak softly to her. We like to joke that we adopted a fainting goat! It was very hard to keep her and Declan (who arrived one week before her) apart during her isolation. They would stick their paws under the door to play with each other, but there was never any hissing or aggression. They have been absolutely inseparable since their introduction. We couldn't be happier!
